Why do random people touch me?Is OP Johnny Bravo and doesn't know it? All jokes aside, this is strange behavior if it happens from literal strangers regularly. Maybe you just have an approachable appearance? Some visible tattoos and black clothing might help deter people. Otherwise just ask them quickly and politely not to touch you. If they continue, say it firmly, and if they don't stop you can shove them off you. | /r/MenSupportMen | 12/05/23 05:31 PM
[18M] I'm suddenly annoyed at my parents all the time for no discernable reason. Just a normal puberty thing or what? It's that last part buddy. Change is hard, try not to take it out on the people you love and identify you're feeling annoyed and remind yourself why you're doing it. | /r/MenSupportMen | 27/01/23 04:50 PM
I feel like a bitch 24/7 and I hate itI utterly hate this alpha/beta male bullshit going around young men these days, it's the new version of "be a man" that was perpetuated when I was growing up. Somehow being almost 30, I'm unaffected by this new wave of toxic hyper-masculinity which probably started as a joke like most internet memes/culture. I'd say take some interest in a hobby you haven't done in a while to replace screen-time. Being online too long will skew your perspective of reality and yourself. I'd also suggest open disc… | /r/MenSupportMen | 24/01/23 05:26 PM
Social stigma that men can't be raped..How do you even do that? Like go into the police station? I really have no idea what to expect or how to handle that, because I was also underage drinking/doing drugs which is also illegal.. it's hard man | /r/MenSupportMen | 03/10/22 04:25 PM
Social stigma that men can't be raped..I honestly don't know right now. I have a gut feeling trying to work it out is just putting ourselves through more agony and will inevitably end, it's just a matter of how many more years we want to invest. Already she's mentioned if we do try to make things work out, there will need to be a time limit and if the feelings of distrust are still there we should call it quits. Just having that as an ultimatum seems like a formula for failure so why put ourselves through it.. idk, super bad headspac… | /r/MenSupportMen | 15/09/22 11:01 PM
Is there a possibility to get any actually useful support?I've heard betterhelp .com is a good resource if you don't have good healthcare. A podcast I listen to gives out a promo code so I'm sure you can lookup active promotions and help with the initial costs. I'd say it's worth spending money to help yourself just like buying food and water. Good luck, man, it gets better, but it's going to be hard. | /r/MenSupportMen | 15/09/22 04:41 PM
Social stigma that men can't be raped..I’d be lying if I hadn’t thought about divorce as a solution, and am feeling a whole new round of guilt and shame for it right now so I hear you and it’s good to feel validated, man. I think it’s just so raw right now, it’s hard to communicate all those points clearly. 10 years is a long time, so I want to make sure whatever happens is a thoughtful decision. I do have a gut feeling it’s something we aren’t going to make it through.. | /r/MenSupportMen | 15/09/22 01:00 AM
Social stigma that men can't be raped..Thanks, man. It’s a long time coming and a lot lot lot of baggage to unpack because we spent so much time together with my brother and his ex as a couple before they got divorce and after this incident happened where both me and Y acted like it didn’t happen. A lot of shit to unpack for my wife all at once and idk if we are going to make it through. Understandably so. | /r/MenSupportMen | 15/09/22 12:55 AM
Social stigma that men can't be raped..Yeah, it was unfair of me to mention that, it was her initial response after telling her a world-shattering truth I've kept hidden from her for 10 years, she's taking it very well all things considered. I expected her to walk right out and be halfway to Mexico by now. Obviously this is some heavy shit and initial reactions aren't always the most level-headed. We've been talking and I'm explaining the fact I also still feel responsible, so her feelings are valid and it makes sense to feel that wa… | /r/MenSupportMen | 14/09/22 11:17 PM
Social stigma that men can't be raped..Thank you for understanding. It's going to get much harder before it gets better, but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel showing it is possible to get better. | /r/MenSupportMen | 14/09/22 10:59 PM
