Consent can't legally be obtained from prisoners. That's why guards are charged with rape if they have sex with an inmate. I doubt estrogen has been approved for this purpose and I doubt the prison is conducting "research". The doctor that prescribed it should be reported to the states board of physician's too. Better ways to treat a person having behavioral problems. Extremely unethical.

This should be considered a crime. I don't think they allow abortions because mom is a misandrist.

I get the context. It still doesn't justify the clearly discriminatory practice of "for women and by women". That's not just female focused. That's female exclusive.

6 months even though she admitted having sex with the kid. She admitted raping him but they let her off on just exposing herself to the kid. Apparently they let her plea because she wasn't a school employee when it started. As if that should fuckin matter. Bullshit... I bet any guy would get minimum of 3 years and no plea bargain.

I don't get it. You question the legality, yet you're happy with the results. Do the ends really justify the means? Do you disagree with the law? Do you think what they're doing is legal? Something tells me you don't really give a shit about eqaulity. Use your words.

Fuck, this shit hole keeps getting better. Get this, they filed with AZCC as an LLC-not a non-profit. Yet, they have 90+ "volunteers" working for them. Then they turn around and sell the shit these women are working on. They also ask for "donations" on their website. It's not a charity or a non-profit. This place is sketchy AF.

I think that's what grabbed my attention. If any other shop advertised, "for men" they'd be chastised. I'm pretty sure it's not even legal. If I lived in Phoenix I would submit an application just to see if they would really deny a man just for being a man. If so, it's illegal. Any guys here live in Phoenix?

An accountant and a coal miner are in completely different professions. It's pointless to use them as a comparison. Stick with 2 coal miners. One works 40 hours, the other works 48. The guy that works 40 calls off every time his kid is sick. He also can't swing a pick for shit. On the other hand, the guy that works 48 never calls off and swing a pick like nobody's business. I don't know any HR department that uses an algorithm to decide a pay scale. Regardless, they're likely to have the same starting wage. That is, until the guy starts working overtime shifts and starts getting paid time and a half. Then he negotiates a higher wage because he's proven to be an asset to the company after working tons of OT shifts. So yes, it's likely because he's working harder. "Pay gap, earnings gap, wage gap" it's all the same.
/r/MensRights29/09/20 05:30 AM

I agree, partially. Not necessarily for the same "job" though. For instance: Nursing in my state. Men are outnumbered by about 8:1. Yet, the men average a higher salary. If it's the same job, then why do men still get paid more? They simply work harder. They work more overtime. They choose to take jobs at employers that pay more. They're twice as likely to negotiate for higher pay. They take more of the leadership roles. They just work harder and get themselves more pay. It has nothing to do wit…

/r/MensRights29/09/20 02:20 AM

The gap exists. However, the reasons for it are not because of gender-itself. The reasons are based on the actions of people. Premise one: Hard work pays more Premise two: More men work harder jobs than women Conclusion: More men are paid more than women for working harder jobs. The gap is logic-not patriarchical oppression. Acknowledge the gap. Embrace equal pay for equal work. If they want equal pay, work harder.

I think I would see it a little differently just because he's filling a gender role in this instance. Not saying he wouldn't do the same for a little brother either. I just think it would be extremely rare to find a girl that acted the same way he did.

If decisions are based on the value of outcome, people that sacrifice themselves have a lower self-worth than others. Unless he was sure he wouldn't be mauled (which is possible) he valued his sisters well-being over his own. Not saying he has no self-worth. Just saying he valued his sister more than his self. I see lot's of men that lack self-worth. So many women have the opposite mentality because of stories like this one.

The kids all went to the backyard and a mean dog started coming towards the boy's sister. He stood in between the dog and his sister, telling his sister to run. I imagine a parent was inside the house. He probably could have just grabbed his sister and went in the house. I know plenty of women willing to guilt trip men using this mentality to their advantage. I used to have a girlfriend that would pick fights at parties and expect me to defend her. We live in a gynocentric society where men are expected to sacrifice themselves for the benefit of women. Since men can't carry a child or breastfeed an infant, we're expected to protect the one's that do. For thousands of years it's been this way. I'm not saying heroic behavior is a bad thing. I'm saying it's a root cause of issues concerning equal rights. Men go off to war. Men go see what's going bump in the night. Men work jobs that are dangerous just to provide for a family. I don't usually advocate for women's rights because I don't see them being oppressed or even having less rights than men. I think women have more rights than men and they have far more support than men. I'd rather focus my energy on the things that effect me on a more personal level. Don't get me wrong either. I call out people if I ever see them being sexist towards either gender. It just bothers me more when it's directed towards me.

I've thought about it but I decided not to because my life is already extremely busy as it is. Between work, family, and school, I barely have time to even watch a whole movie. Public funding? Most shelters are non-profits that recieve private donations or grants. I don't know of any laws that say men can't build a shelter. Nor have I ever heard of feminists writing legislation to ban men's shelters. Besides, they can organize, lobby a legislature, write for grants, or hold fundraisers just like men. We can do anything they can do. Hell, according to them, we have more rights and priviledges to do so. Not that it's true, but hell, I can swing a hammer or saw a 2x4 fast…

We build the women's their shelters. I'm sure we can build our own, even better. Feminists couldn't plunge a toilet if it weren't for the men that built the toilets, installed them, and the plungers that suck all their bloody tampons out for them. Men built this whole damn country. Not feminists.

Well said. Keep in mind, a lot has to do with how men perceive themselves too. Not everything can or should be blamed on society. After all, men make up half of society. If we constantly perceive ourselves as victims, then yes we are victims. However, we can empower ourselves by changing that perception. We can build men's shelters. We can talk to other men about our problems. We have more power to control our lives, than some might think.

I agree, stay strong. And stand up for other men that have been accused. Don't let anyone condemn them before getting all the facts. I knew another guy that was accused by his step daughter. The guy was being condemned by several people before any evidence was ever presented. It turned out they had absolutely nothing except the word of a teenaged girl, and dropped the charges. I agree that on a macro level, a gender gap in salary exists. However, that gap is commonly misrepresented and used to manipulate people into believing numerous falsities. It's often presented as, "A woman earns 70 cents for every dollar a man earns." This is an obvious falsity because it takes average yearly income, turns it into a percentage, then presents it as a single dollar when it's not. "Terrorism" isn't a group of people. It's an act of violence for political gain. If you're referring to prejudice against "terrorists" as a group like ISIS, then you're being far too general. That's okay though. Most people are probably prejudice against "all" terrorists, without considering the condemnation of the US government as being a terrorist organization too. I agree that feminism has done some great things in the past and at it's core, I think it is more about fighting for equal rights. I disagree (not downvote) that we, as men, need feminism. I believe effective liberation must be carried out by those that are being oppressed. If we rely on others to liberate us, it becomes their fight, where they make decisions that we live with. I find nothing empowering about being rescued by a group of others. I think it's a good idea not to be prejudiced again…

It's an unsubstantiated claim, based on feelings, emotions, or opinions. A theory is fine but this isn't explicitly written as a theory. Using words like, "they" without naming a specific person or group, is a fallacy. The premise has no support. Therefore, it has no base in logic-just emotion. This is why we live in a post-truth era. Too many people have lost logic to emotion. I guess we're too busy trying to get in touch with our feelings, like mom taught us.

"Hitting someone back", isn't the same as "I was defending myself from an attack", or "we were both swinging at each other". If you say you hit back, it doesn't establish the premise of defense against imminent harm. It actually reinforces the retaliation premise by implying the harm already took place. That's why the defense of waiting to be hit first, before you hit back, doesn't always work. Time becomes a factor in your decision to use violence.
/r/MensRights07/11/19 07:00 PM

Retaliation implies revenge as a motivation to harm. If you intend to "retaliate" and you want to let a legislature subvert your conscience, you'll end up in jail. Retaliation is illegal and doesn't qualify as self-defense.

Self-defense is the only reason I justify the use of violence. If you feel like someone is posing an imminent threat of harm, you're justified in using the minimal amount of force that's necessary to protect yourself. Which usually means equal force. I'm not past hitting first, if I see anyone taking a very aggressive posture. If anyone even cocks a hand back I'm gonna put em on the floor first. Then I'll stand over them telling them to walk away or it's gonna hurt more if I have to do it again.…

The article is very vague when it reads, "When the relationship fell apart, Reynolds says he worked out child support and custody arrangements with his child's mother." That could mean anything from Reynolds had full custody, shared custody, or he had no custody. If he let mom have full custody, then he surrendered his legal rights to his own kid. 21 years ago, I was dating a girl that was raped. Even though I didn't experience what you did, I can certainly empathize. That trauma didn't just impact her. It impacted her entire family and friends. Everyone near the incident becomes an integral part of a bigger picture. I spent a lot of time changing my own life to cope with what had happened. Indirectly, I became a victim. It actually took me years to realize it, too. I ended up marrying that girl. We have 3 children now. To this day, the t…

What she's doing is illegal. You can call the cops. Depending on where she is located, she can be arrested and prosecuted. You can also sue her in civil court. If you'd like to take things into your own hands, find her location and... Well, do what you will. Personally, I would be open to mt family and warn them about a stranger sending them pictures or videos of you. Then call the cops. If she keeps it up, fuck her uo.

She didn't accuse him of anything. However, she did insult the host. Which is grounds for politely being asked to leave. He was pretty rude about how he asked her to leave and it was rude of her to refuse a drink. Her decision was based on fear. Which is generally not a reasonable way to act. If she didn't trust the host, why would she attend his party, to begin with? This is an easy way to spot a bigot. She lumped him in the same category as all men. We're all rapists, until proven otherwise. I…

That's a figure that was pedaled by the diamond market. Most women actually buy into that figure, without question. Why would they? It's not like they're the ones actually paying for it. Ask men, privately. You'll get a very different number. Men that actually care about making reasonable purchases, don't pay anywhere near that price. I paid less than $1000 on a ring. Only experts actually know how to spot a real diamond and 24 K versus 14K gold. 99.9% of people can't tell a $1000 ring from a $6…

Not all of us are as narrow-minded as it may seem. I'm definitely aware that women have gender-based struggles. I try to advocate and encourage women in those areas. I'm a married man, raising two girls and a boy. I do care about the things that effect the women on my life. However, I disagree with a majority of struggles being boiled down to stereotypes. Albeit some problems may be attributed to stereotypes, I attribute more of the problems arise from natural inclinations that differ between me…

Plenty of men are seeking equal rights. As in, legal rights. Of which, women have more. Therefore, men have a greater need of liberation. Your argument is based on perception, alone. Not objective reality. Regardless of being subjective or objective, your argument admits men are lacking equality in a couple areas. Therefore, a fight for mens rights is valid. Fighting for both, would be called human rights. Unfortunately, human rights activists are busy with things like war crimes, genocide, star…

Women have been taking on more dominant roles in Hollywood, in general. You see tons more in action films these days. Women fighting is televised and popularized. That sort of pop culture leads women to feel empowered. Unfortunately, the feelings are misplaced and unrealistic. I don't think women hit men because they think they can get away with it. I think they do it because they think they can actually win a fight against a man. Just let her take the first swing. Then level her out.

Respond by agreeing with them. Give men free access to vasectomy procedures. I would get one. It makes sense when a single man can impregnate 400 women a year and women can get impregnated 2 times in a year. The procedure is cheaper, easier, and safer than women's procedures. It's better to prevent pregnancy before ir happens, so do it. I recently complained to my wife how it's bullshit that she can get free birth control pills and I can't get a free vasectomy. A recurring cost versus a one time…

I used to find feminists attractive. I thought a strong woman was so desirable. A woman willing to stand up for her rights, seemed prolific. What I realized was I had based my ideas of feminism on the philosophy of women like Voltairine and Goldman. Those aren't contemporary feminists. The struggles they faced aren't the same struggles women face, today. Those feminists were actually liberating their sisters. Today, it's men that could use a little liberation.

ERA didn't pass because feminists didn't want it to pass. They currently enjoy greater legal priviledges than men. If ERA passed, they would have lost those privileges. You won't find legal rights that men have over women.

The designer built 2 chairs. One that forces women to spread and men to squeeze together. The design fit the criteria of the award. I don't think it was biased either. Women were forced to spread. The pluralist is clearly a right leaning propaganda machine. They marginalized the other chair and emphasized the manspread chair. Everyone knows "m…

I disagree. 100% of it goes to people. Jeff Bezos has billions of our tax dollars. Every government contractor is paid with tax dollars. Soldiers, veterens, highway workers, railroad workers, etc. Heck, even I get paid in tax dollars. 80% of healthcare is funded by medicare. That's a tax. Therefore, every healthcare worker gets paid with tax dollars. Every dollar is spent. Bridges have no need for money. It's the people that need money.

Addition is not subtraction. Therefore, you can pay taxes while receiving more in terms of tax benefits. Look at anybody collecting social security. Pretty much anyone on welfare recieves more benefits than they have in liability. However, I get what you're getting at with regards to net taxation. Essentially, the tax payments are pointless when the benefits exceed said payments. May as well just reduce the benefits at that point.

Thanks for showing this. He didn't mention the Hayden amendment. Nor did a few other sources on the ERA. I don't understand how anyone could consider it equal rights while protecting specific existing benefits, exemptions, etc. for women. The article actually paints a picture that it's men's fault they're uncomfortable mentoring women. It literally ends the article with a sentiment of disregarding the fact that they're uncomfortable. In a day & age when being "creepy" is the equivalent of sexual harassment, men are fucked. My suggestion is we point this out to women…

Misandry... Hatred of men... What does it result in... Good question but it's hard to put a finger on it because women are cunning beasts. Men generally take an open and obvious action. I used to get an erection on car rides in the morning. No sexual thoughts or nothing. I didn't even require being "made to penetrate". I needed to be made not to penetrate. It takes hormones-not sexual arousal. Any guy that wakes up with morning wood knows that. Shiftwork: A mode of employment in which sets of workers are rotated to maintain a continuous 24/7 operation. I stand by what I said. It's not shift work. Fixing a house is a form of skilled labor that requires an education. Nobody goes to school to become a babysitter. You can also babysit a bunch of kids at the same time. I don't know many carpenters that can build 3-10 houses at once. Don't compare 2 entirely different industries. If you want to make more than $3/hr, you can. A waitress doesn't wait on one table. They wait on several and earn tips on each table. When I see a waitress waiting on 6 tables versus 1 table, I know the waitress that'…

Is it changing the diapers or the feeding... Perhaps the entertaining or keeping them out of trouble... Is it the bathing or changing... All those things are easy-just-time consuming tasks. Good point, however caring for an infant isn't even worth that much. It's a business that should be treated accordingly. No "babysitter" should watch one child unless they intend to go way above the minimum requirements. If I pay that much to watch one of my children I expect them to be learning a second language and how to play the piano. That's the problem with many "babysitters". I don't really understand how it works. "Social debt" implies it's not based on financial debt but it somehow monetizes social engagement. Like paying it forward... If someone gives you a gift, you owe them a gift in return. It probably encourages some kind of social gifting. Open doors for people. Help an old lady cross the street. Etc.
