My mother part time works in an MS centre, her husband has the condition and she takes great care of him (he's wonderful too, true HVM), the amount of women who come in who's husband's abandoned them as soon as it got hard is unbelievable, and all the men who come have wives who stayed and take care of them, even while their husband is shouting at them in the middle of the centre and clearly taking out his wheelchair rage on her.
