I dont climb, but they seem to have rather light but ripped physiques. So lose fat and do bodyweight pullups (Alex Honnold, a crazy free solo climber does pullups on a finger board to develop finger/grip strength) , also work on flexibility, and then probably something cardio on the side too.

Same here, they were both occupied with working so can't blame them. Emotionally unavailable parents, its like facing the unknown without any guidance.
