And in the majority of the western world, men and women are permitted to have normal sexual encounters without explicit enthusiastic consent. 0	Why I no longer call myself an MRA You're talking about a time when women had only just got the right to vote (and in many countries like France, they still couldn't during WW2). They'd only just found a voice. It's not like it would even be possible or useful to effect social change during total war. I'd be very surprised if they tried drafting men in these days if modern feminists took that lying down. 0	Why I no longer call myself an MRA The point is that feminists didn't ask for men to be drafted into war. Just that due to the contemporary socio-political climate, we still had some pretty old fashioned views on warfare and gender. 0	Why I no longer call myself an MRA There also a quota for the number of men that should be hired. In workplaces that are dominated by women, men are at an advantage in the interviews. For instance, if a man wants to become a nurse, he will get a lot of support. Ideally, we wouldn't have these quotas either way, and let everyone be selected on their own merits.
