Yeah, men feel paranoid around gay men. I don't think that's true in a lot of cases, especially in this modern time where being openly gay is just fine. I've gotten some attention from gay dudes from time to time, once got asked if I wanted to go home with a guy. And I just politely say no but continue interacting with them like a normal person if I run into them again. However there was one time a guy brought me to a bathhouse under false pretenses, when I didn't know what a bathhouse was. That…

In the words of Aba and Preach: "Tik-Tok, in my house?! Hell no."

To be fair, most of us men would rather have sex with a hot but crazy girl than an ugly but nice girl. So I don't think we should necessarily take the moral high ground on that one

Well, it's flawed and oppressive no matter who dishes it out, really

I believe that's referred to as victim blaming

The takeaway I got from that video was different from yours. What I got was that there is a lack of media platforms for men to talk about their issues, especially in mainstream media. Women have shows like The View on daytime TV but there isn't an equivalent for men, and so that vacuum gets filled by arguably unqualified people like Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, PUAs, TRP etc. Jordan Peterson shows up and says "clean your room" and suddenly guys flock to him as a life advice guru, stuff like that.…

Personal Development School on youtube has a lot of videos on this topic. She seems to be a relationship counselor, and has many videos on core wounds and attachment styles

Everything else aside, I don't necessarily agree that blaming yourself for your successes or failures is a bad thing. It could be described as having an internal locus of control, as opposed to external. The advantage of having an internal locus of control is that you believe that you have the power to make things happen if you try. Whereas someone with an external LoC may feel helpless and that forces outside themselves determine their successes or failures, regardless of their efforts. Not her…

Agree with this. It can be an attractive ideology if a guy is searching for the reason why she cheated on him, and TRP offers easy answers like hypergamy, or losing frame, or failing shit tests, etc.

Yeah, you could say that. Although this kind of "normal" can seem pretty rare on most social media platforms nowadays

I subbed to Aba and Preach a few months ago, as I tend to like their views on stuff, at least most of the time. They're not red pilled, but they're not what people would call SJWs either. They tend to hold both men and women accountable for their BS, but also respect people's right to make their own choices

Right, I meant to speak as an individual as well, I didn't mean to claim that most men have the attitude I do about sex and relationships. I'd agree that there is a lot of societal/social pressure for men to be having sex, which mostly comes from other men, frankly. The classic societal trope is that you "aren't a man" until you get laid. And that does, pretty much directly, tie a guy's identity and self worth to whether he can find someone to have sex with. And yeah, that's likely a big part of…

Even as a man I can relate to much of this. I've never felt like I really needed a relationship, mostly because I've always been an introverted, solitary type of person. So I'm generally not going to bring another person into my life in an intimate capacity unless they enrich my life in some way. Sex and dating, while it is generally less risky for men than it is for women due to the reasons you described above, is still stressful. Competing with other suitors in her DMs, jumping through hoops a…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
