In my 23 years of life there has been only one time a woman approached me. I consider myself pretty average, but I have a decent job and hobbies. And had I not been proactive with women in that time I wouldn't have had sex until the age of 23.

But this is an awful choice. As a man if you aren't proactive you will nearly NEVER meet a woman you are genuinely attracted to. Most men crave sex, not getting it is frustrating and can be detrimental to both physical and mental health.

Everyone has ambition. Like you said about your ambition to move to a cabin in the woods, ambition is the same a goal or a dream. Anyone who had no goals or dreams is happy with a mediocre life style with no desire to improve themselves. I think it comes down to subconscious vetting of bad potential mates for several reason. Many sexual partners shows inability to commit, already making her bad relationship material. Using simple logic about what we know about normal people, what is the likely hood that she had safe sex with all these men, even with testing and regular check ups. Ann arbor Michigan, is a beautiful college town, or even downtown Detroit, you can find badass apartments for less than 1200$. Only minus would be our winters. But this year has been pretty mild.
