I tried to argue with stuff like that on Facebook, and then my right-wing friend jumped into the thread and said: "Yes, we built the civilisation, we take ownership for all the co2". While I disagree with him on most stuff, that comment made me (and my gf) burst out laughing :D It will be my default response to someone making claims from this article (even though I don't believe only men built the civilisation).

Do you have a link to the test? Were the questions identical, just genders reversed? Respect for coming out with this. Personally, I try to always ask myself if I would do a given action, or say given words if the genders were reversed. Examples:- I was at a bar celebrating (back when bars were open), and bought like 20 shots to give out to random strangers. I made sure that I gave them to everyone I saw, regardless of their physical appearance. It required an actual effort to fight my biases, b…

not necessarily. some of the basic questions like these turn on "some psycho-technique alert", and people start blocking themselves. Just like someone asking you "do you have a spare 10 seconds?" "you seem like a friendly person" - a statement instead of a question, this is great.

I've been to it for 6 years, even opened up my own club. Excellent exercise for three reasons. First - you learn to talk to people (during breaks, in the pub after meetings), second - you learn to tell stories, and this is great on a date (even if you're a stamp collector, you know how to excite people talking about your hobby :). Finally, it's a nice hobby to have, and it makes you a more interesting person. I highly recommend it! :)

As a geek I've spent most of my life (up to the age of 20) in front of a computer, talking to people via chats. Because of that I lacked the understanding of subtle emotional hints in real-life speech.. What helped a lot was an NLP course. Not a video, not a book (tried those too), but a real course. 5 weekends, 3 days each in a place far away from city (no distractions, no going back home after the lessons). After that my attitude turned around 180 degrees. I feel like I could read people's min…

It's the problem with forums - people sometimes sound more angry then they are in reality. That's how flame wars get started. But yeah - I'll try to sound cooler in the future :) Sorry for that. As for the complaints - you mentioned that you don't want a commercialisation of a forum. As your reply was to me talking about my app, I assumed that by commercialisation you meant putting links to paid resources. Wasn't it what you said? Preassumptions are necessary for any human conversations. For exa…

When does she say it? After you asked her to dance, or does she just drop it into the conversation? it may mean "I'm bored", it may mean "I'm tired". Depending on a situation, you may ask if she wants to go home (you can walk her to a bus stop/taxi/car) or you can figure out a way to evacuate (and number close). Or you can try to change her state - like suggest doing something else (going for a walk, changing a bar etc.)

Huh? So you're saying that nobody should provide links to paid resources on Seddit? That would suck :) For example, I wouldn't be able to link to Deangelo's double my dating (which helped me a lot a couple of years back) just because it was paid? Besides - the app is free for sedditors (I gave away promo codes & I'll give away more). But even if it wasn't - someone posts a problem, and we post back the answers. The best solutions get voted to the top & sometimes the best solution is a paid one. …

The Air Coach for iPhone can do that for you (free promo codes here: http://www.reddit.com/r/GetMotivated/comments/ljpqv/wolves_one_more_iphone_app_an_experimental/ ) can do that for you. It wasn't built just for it, but it works easier & is easier to set up. If you install it and tell the coach that you want to get affirmations every morning/afternoon/etc , and type in the kind of affirmations you want, we'll start sending them back to you.

The initial replies are automatic, and the feedback comes from me, or my partner. It may take around one day before we get back to you - stay in touch! :)

For me, what worked was not focusing on just one girl at a time. If you have other prospects, if you have a busy life.. It will come to you naturally. Also - don't expect a girl to make the first move when it comes to kissing etc. This is your job, and always will be :) And watch out - too many games, and the brighter girls will run away.

There are plenty of other ways to get to know people other than clubs. I don't think I've got even one friend I met at a club, and I moved to a new city I knew anyone in at the age of 18. Even if you're after university, there are plenty of ways...

Hm, I've never had a similar problem. Sure - it's hard to hear people, but I usually solve this by getting my ear closer to them (I think everyone does it like this). As for adjusting your voice to music - I never noticed this problem either - I just talk as loud as I possibly can. My guess is that everybody does it the same way. There are also louder and quieter places in clubs. In louder places you don't do elaborate discussions - just a few words, and either move to some place quieter, or to …
