Just go got it. You’re in it for a good time not a long time. What are her intentions?

Half your age plus 7 is the age to start at. It keeps it from being creepy. So stick in the early 30s range.

After our divorce my ex wife stated that she wanted to remain friends. I told her that I don’t have friends that treat me the way she has.

This isn’t borderline alienating this is alienating. Mom is saying daddy is the bad guy and the reason they can’t be together. She’s telling the kids you don’t want to be with them.

Start with a simple greeting as you pass. Good morning and eye contact work pretty well as ice breaker . Do it a few days before actually introducing yourself. You can acknowledging your common routine. Maybe compliment her, not her necessarily that can be creepy, choose something she had a choice in. Her shoes or her outfit, nails if she gets them done. If you feel a report building invite her to walk with you and your dog, introduce your dog to her. Also picky is fine. Women will be picky too.

I got divorced and a vasectomy shortly after(had a couple near misses). Turned out to be very freeing. Also, it eliminates the question “is it mine?” Two women came to me post vasectomy claiming it was mine. One I was dating so that was fun. A few years later I got remarried and reversed.

Getting divorced is expensive, but it pays dividends in happiness.

Gotta let them make their own mistakes and just hope they come around before it’s too late. She’s not living the life I’d envisioned for her, however she’s living her life and is happy. I had to pivot how I was seeing her so I could be happy for her and proud of her.

He’s going there because it’s easier for him. My oldest kid moved to her mother’s at 17. Quoting to me all the times I’ve fucked up as a parent and generally making me feel like a failure on her way out. Fast forward a couple years she admits to me the real reason was that her mom let her do whatever she wanted with zero over sight, expectations, or responsibility.

My ex wife wanted to stay friends “for the kids sake”. I told her that my friends don’t treat me like she has/does.

The goal for an ex is to nothing her. You don’t care if she is hit by a bus, you don’t care if she hits the lottery. Her success or failure makes no difference to you. She is a stranger now. Just a blip on the radar of your past.

What did it for me was no longer accepting behavior from a woman for the chance to sleep with them. Your patience for feminine bs goes down quick once you learn to control your lust.

I went with queen. It wasn’t so big that it felt lonely when I was alone. It was big enough to accommodate a guest. It also had the added benefit of cheaper linens so I could go with nicer ones.

My ex bought phone watches for our littles so she could reach them when ever. They also had gps. We’d be in the middle of something and she would call and then get pissed because we’re busy and I was trying to engage with the kids. It was a control tactic. The watches were removed when they came over and ended up on top of my fridge. The kids don’t miss them.

Get a therapist bro. New or old, don’t dump on your friends.

Don’t move out. Also she’s asking to open up the marriage because she has someone else. Probably why she wants you to leave.

My ex wife hates that I came out on top. I hadn’t really hit my stride while we were married. Got divorced the year I turned 30. I was devastated but focused on growth and success. Yeah, child support and alimony sucked and were expensive but they paid dividends in my happiness. And frankly after offloading her and despite paying cs and alimony I still had more disposable income because she was no longer there blowing it. She constantly tries to tell me how much better she is than I am or how he…

Not for me. It was easier to move on once two conditions were met. 1) I knew that I’d be ok without her. 2) when I nothing her. I don’t care if she wins the lottery, I don’t care if she dies in a car crash. She’s a blip on the radar of my life. Nothing more, nothing less.

You were forced. She knew her behavior was intolerable. She wants to be the victim.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
