This is so, so terrible, I want to believe it's fake. Just reading this ruined my credit and made me take up drinking.

Agreed. You ever have great sex with a woman in a relationship but when things go bad she wants to insult you sexually? Yeah, me neither, but I know it happens. Like, "woman, you loved this dick when you were happy... now we break up and it's bad dick? Okaaaay!"

Oh, I know... sometimes they're brutal though. When I was about five years old, I asked my aunt why she had a mustache. She never had a mustache again after that day. I didn't mean any harm. Just thought the 'stache was for men only.

Talking about the woman who made the comment to me? Probably. I work in healthcare. I got vaccinated. The residents around me got vaccinated. Miraculously, they stopped dying once they got the shot. The masks didn't do shit. Eighteen of them died from Covid prior to the vaccination becoming available. I no longer wear a mask out, thankfully.

I've heard the opposite... not disputing your statement, just that I've heard it's a sign of low T. I just don't care that much to look into it. I feel great. Feel "manly". My manhood works well when I can get a woman to hold still for me. lol

Ouch! I know that hurts, but he dodged a bullet. Better to get out early than invest a ton of time and get burned worse later on. She'll come crawling back after a while. Let's hope he refuses. She was wrong.

I'd slap a coat of paint on it to spruce it up, but it looks like there's plenty of space to sleep, eat, and bathroom. Probably low utility bill too, if any. She can go "keep up with the Joneses" somewhere else.

Problem solved -- they're no longer speaking. Is he the asshole? Depends on who you ask. She doesn't seem to be in a great spot to negotiate and it's foolish to pretend that she wasn't using her vagina as currency before this. So why not now?

Oh, yeah. No. I took out financial aid loans. I expect my kids to do the same. I'd like for them to live with me at 18 anyway. For any good mothers do, they do an equal amount of damage.

How so? (Asking because once the child is an adult and community property is all settled, I can't think of any other ties that bind. Especially since she has remarried.)

At the risk of sounding like a pop culture fanboy, I proudly proclaim Breaking Bad as the greatest show I've ever seen. The acting, the directing, the editing... the stars aligned for that show. The rise and fall. It was perfect. Really excited for the final season of Saul. It has all been TV excellence!

He's done a lot of stuff in the background over the last few decades. If memory serves, I believe he wrote for The Simpsons, for Conan O'Brien... and did some sketch comedy with comedian David Cross (Mr. Show in the 90s and Bob and David more recently). Breaking Bad and more recently Better Call Saul demands excellence from everyone -- he really has matured as a legitimate actor.

Me and my 12 year old son went to see it the weekend it came out (he loves Bob due to Better Call Saul and of course action movies like John Wick). I didn't expect much other than some quality time with my boy, but it was really enjoyable. Bob sold himself as a bad ass.

I watched the video of this happening. It was hard to watch. Completely senseless. I don't care how young these girls were -- that they could do what they did and see freedom again is scary for society.

I was a kid when it originally aired (like age 7 to 11 or 12). My dad watched it and my mom forbade me to watch it with him... Maybe she knew about what Al was putting down. It has come to be one of my favorite shows though. I love irreverent humor.

I'm also a male nurse and I know this thread isn't about me. Most of the women I work with are straight garbage humans. No, I don't hate women. They objectively are the worst coworkers I have ever had. 100 percent truth about lifelong CNAs though. At my work this past week, the one with purple hair and face tattoos had to leave mid shift because her apartment was shot up. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I left my home and marriage for many reasons. One of them being for my dog Josie. My wife claimed to be allergic and asthmatic (dog hair bothered her, but chainsmoking not so much). Anyway, Josie lived outside for a long time. Then Josie battled heartworms and survived and I defied wife's allergies and moved Josie inside. Me and my dog moved out a few months later. She has graduated from carport/yard dog to full time indoor doggie who takes up most of my bed in our new apartment. We're both much…

Being cheated on is hard enough. When the cheater is your spouse and you have kids together, it's that much more devastating. When you're in the military, which means sending her back to where she came from with your kids, it's even harder. But it happens. At 24 years old, you don't even realize what you deserve. I don't mean that you should feel cocky or entitled... you just have likely not realized your worth as a man. I will tell you without knowing you, you deserve far more than she's given …

My ex has vilified me to anyone who will listen as well. I've had the same urge to "set the record straight", but listen -- those people on social media don't care. They don't care what she's saying about you or the new guy. It's interesting for about three seconds. Now, any real friends who may be swayed by what she's said and they haven't come to you for your side of things? Those aren't real friends. Let them go. I've dealt with that too, and it hurts. Stay focused on yourself and the path ah…

Honestly, I think having no clue how to be a dad was my best weapon. My own dad wasn't interested in parenting (he's got a lot of issues, but that's another story)... so when I wound up with my two little men, I promised them that I would do my best to be for them the person I needed when I was a child. I also try to help them look to the future by telling them about my own mistakes and missteps and how I'd do things differently given the chance. Being a dad is fun! Being a husband? I've tried i…

Time, brother. It's gonna take time. It will get better and then it will hurt like hell all over again and eventually it will start to fade for good. Best thing you can do is take care of your physical and mental health. Don't fall into drinking too much or anything else that may take you down. You want to come out of this better and stronger, not a shell of who you once were. Be stubbornly optimistic.

I don't know your financial situation and I don't know any of the other dynamics of your situation. For me, my ex and I both work and make enough to get by. I stayed in the house with her in a different bedroom for four years. I was more worried that leaving the house (it's in my name) would wreck my credit than I was about moving on and starting anew. Well, the woman already took the last half of my 20s and all of my 30s. I turned 40 in December and was in a new place on January 6, 2020. I star…

OK, look, you love her. I understand that. But you're not going to fix her. You can not fix her. Your job is to protect your child and protect yourself. Record audio (video if you can), document, document, document. Get legal counsel. Get the hell out. If she wants to sleep around, great. Don't even go after her for adultery. Go after her for divorce on the basis of her being an unhinged and violent whackadoodle. Apparently, it runs in her family. Get strong, stay strong. This isn't how you want…

As pro-man as I am, I can honestly say I don't mind if a woman is a "little ugly". Seriously... if we can communicate about big ideas or she has a good sense of humor, that's where it's at for me. It's just so rare to find a woman who is more personality driven that looks driven. I guess that's the real unicorn. Will she still cheat on you? Probably. But at least you had some laughs and good conversations!

Funny you mention that, I poured him a tiny cup of beer a couple of years ago so he could see what it's about. I'd rather him understand and respect alcohol than get our there with his friends in a few years and end up killing himself or someone else. I'm not his "best friend", but I'm definitely someone that he can discuss anything with. Nothing taboo or embarrassing. If you don't teach your kids, the world will.

That's an impressive transformation! I'm about a month in. Got a little fat to burn, but I go to the gym religiously five days a week. I crave it now. I sleep better. Clothes fitting better. It's just the best thing we can do for ourselves in light of otherwise sedentary lifestyles.

I want to type some long how-to guide for you to help adjust your thinking, but I don't even know where to begin. I will say, divorcing your wife will not divorce your from your child. You love your wife? Then by all means, stay with her! If you're talking about vanishing from your daughter's life, then I want to (without condemning you) beg you to really think what that means. You need to go "no contact" for your own sanity. She knows the real reason she wanted divorce. There possibly has been/possibly is someone else she's interested in. Maybe there was an affair you were never wise to and it didn't go how she hoped... Don't let her play these head games with you. Dust yourself off, go no contact, live a happy life.

People are always going to make up their own minds, but you have to ask yourself, "is what they think of the situation more important than my own sanity and peace?" It is not. Your post reads much like my own situation. I begged my wife to leave the house. She wouldn't budge. She demanded we do the required 365 day separation (we have a child, so it isn't 180). I'm a strange man, perhaps wired differently. I've never wanted to have sex with a woman that I didn't see the potential of having something serious with. Have I done the one nighters? Yes. I didn't like how it made me feel. And I absolutely love sex... I just don't want to have it casually/anonymously. To each their own, I guess.

It's rough. When I left my wife in 2010, the friend of mine who moved away was still local. He never reached out to see if I was OK or anything. (he'd tell me later "you had my number, I figured you'd call if you needed something"). Wife and I tried again after a few months, but it's been a downward spiral for the last ten years. Same. I've really had two friends in adulthood (friends since childhood). One died in bed unexpectedly six years ago and the other moved across the country. To both /u/fewdo and /u/HalfOffOffer -- I know some attorneys do mediation, but there are mediators who are not lawyers. These non-attorney mediators are trained to help you reach agreements when divorcing and can file on your behalf/help you get the proper forms and paperwork together. However, if talks break down and you're no longer agreeable with your spouse in the split, you'll need an actual attorney, as the mediation is no longer working and the mediator may no longer be able to "mediate"…

Thank you for posting this. My situation is similar (have a kid together, make about the same money). My worry is that any money I've set aside for a lawyer retainer will be wasted on a mediator in the event that communication breaks down. We're doing our required 365 degrees of separation this year, and I'd say it's going pretty well. Haven't seen her since January 6. The occasional text/phone call. If it makes you feel less alone: My wife makes about 3 dollars an hour more than me. We recently had the tub and tile replaced in our bathroom. My contribution? 2,300 dollars. Hers? None. I live in Louisiana and this is what I got: I was afraid to leave the house for fear of "losing the house" or being seen as "abandoning my kids". Louisiana requires 365 days of separation before divorcing with kids. I thought perhaps sleeping in separate rooms for the last four years would count toward that. It does not. I work with females, primarily. It is not uncommon for them to be clustered at a desk, talking loudly about what guys have the best asses and "dick prints" in the work place. I mean, vulgar, vulgar shit. I don't even bat an eye. I pretend not to hear. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and I don't know that my company could hire a better caliber of people anyway. That was a tough read. You seem like a guy who looks for the best in people and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. From what I've read, you record 24/7. It isn't to hold anything against your ex but to protect yourself when the all too common accusations of domestic violence drop. Yes, it seems a bit excessive to record all day every day but when it hits the fan and the cops show up, you simply show them that no, it didn't happen as she is claiming. I haven't had to do this, but from all I've read, many people swear by it.

My advice to these women: Get a hobby. Find yourself. A good guy may show up. He may not. Neediness is unflattering. Unrealistic expectations will leave you disappointed and disillusioned. Being single does not mean you are incomplete. Enjoy your life.

To your last point -- no, you do not pay her for anything other than the hours she worked for you. No more, no less. You don't owe her one thing beyond that. Edit to say: I really enjoy how OP speaks English. I understand him completely but his syntax is unlike any I've ever encountered. I dig it. Best of luck to you, /u/LOIKDU !

She's now either 1) looking for a provider for her awful kids 2) trying to sell you essential oils or weight loss products 3) both.

You are correct that a lot of posts here focus on women. Why though? The wounds are still fresh for a lot of these guys. A lot of men have no one in life to speak to, so they vent online. That's not a bad thing. Everyone needs to be heard. Everyone needs to blow off some steam. The shit hurts when the relationship you held dear goes bad.

Agreed -- I'm not a fan of KFC. I work with several black women and they often eat KFC (usually Popeye's, sometimes Church's), but it's not unusual to see KFC at my work place (which is majority black women).

Well, these are definitely positives. It's hard to earn back trust after someone cheats on you... sometimes it can work, usually it can't. Good luck to you in whatever path you choose to take moving forward. Don't accept anything less than the best for yourself.
/r/Divorce_Men04/10/19 07:12 PM

How did you find out about her cheating? Did she admit it freely to you? Because that shows a true sense of guilt. Otherwise, she's only sorry she got caught.

Cut your losses, homie. This would be hard enough if she never saw the guy ever again -- but he's still around? Just no. She had her fun with him. He probably dropped her on her ass and now she's crawling back to you as a second choice. I am sure that you still love her. I'm also sure that your decision to further entertain this relationship comes from the fear and pain of losing her for good. But you're going to hurt either way. You will never forget the pain of her betrayal. Invest in yourself…

Yes! Children can not have too many good adults in their lives. Let them know you're still available to them.
/r/Divorce_Men29/09/19 04:05 PM

Let them know how much you enjoy or have enjoyed being in their lives but that you just don't think it's going to work with their mother. Don't trash her to them, as tempting as it may be. If they ask why it isn't working, just tell them without disclosing too much that you guys have some serious problems that won't allow you to move forward as a couple. Hopefully, that will pacify them.

I think their definition is too broad and ill-informed. MGTOW means different things to different people. For some, it's a way to cope after being burned by marriage/relationships. For others, it's an eye opener that helps protect them in their interactions with the opposite sex. A lot of what MGTOW means to me can be applied to every aspect of my life -- doing what the fuck I want to do without societal/familial approval. Very punk rock.
/r/MGTOW29/08/19 03:59 PM
1

It is. It really, really is. I was in an unhappy marriage when I was making minimum wage and that marriage was still unhappy when I went through nursing school and significantly increased my income. The money didn't matter. I'd have been happier single, making $8.50/hr than in this godforsaken union making much more than that. That being said, you still need a roof over your head and good food to eat. Good luck, brother.

The best advice I can give you is to (try your best to) stop yearning for someone who doesn't give a damn for you and start getting excited at the prospect of eventually meeting the person who will think you hung the moon. My advice is of little help when your wounds are fresh and you are genuinely hurting, but in time, it will get better. The pain will fade a little. And, if you live your life in a good way (take care of yourself physically/mentally, don't isolate yourself), you will find a wom…

I find natural beauty in a lot of women's appearance. The point is how women will manipulate their photos online to present themselves in a way that they cannot duplicate in person, thereby deceiving potential suitors from the start.

Do NOT leave the home. Don't do it. I'm in a similar situation. I'm just riding it out in "my room" until I don't have to anymore. She wants the divorce, it's on her to play ball and make it as quick and amicable as possible. Do not give her ammunition. Do not leave the home before the court decides what's to come of the house. And keep your emotions in check. Don't act out of hurt or anger. Best of luck to you!

I tend to agree with you. I have zero insecurities about my own size (well, when erect... I'm a 'grow-er' not a 'show-er'). I've seen the huge dicks in porn. I understand that is not the norm -- just like the women you see in porn don't represent your average woman. I've been married, had girlfriends. It's never been an issue and I've never been dumped. My manhood? Probably average to a little above average. If she can't enjoy it, her vagina may better serve as a garage.

I work around a lot of black females. This is not an uncommon position to hear espoused. (Maybe it's not a position exclusive to black women, but I've never heard it verbalized by other kinds of women. Other women at least try to maintain some semblance of femininity when manipulating their suitors.)
