I've been doing the passive/active hang work. The other ones look really beneficial I'll start implementing those too.

It was explained to me that craving was the root of suffering. Craving and attachment are synonymous in this scenario.

THANK YOU. This was the biggest flaw of that post and the comments that followed. Everyone circlejerked the idea but I couldn't find discussion on real methods for achieving it. I personally set the baseline for happiness low. I can live in a shitty room with shitty furniture and have a shitty job but be happy. Anything beyond that brings me a bit of joy but I make sure I never get attached. The same principle can be applied to dating. I've had huge dry spells so if this girl I'm dating doesn't …

There's a lot of good information in this post but there is too much going on. It's very hard to follow or even pinpoint your point. The premise of the post is lost in the hyperlinks, quotes, recommendations and structure of your writing.

If you've ever worked in retail you'll have experienced it consciously or unconsciously, how you are projecting (happy/unhappy) will affect how often customers will approach you. I've used the smile technique and it can work. It can't pull me out of a decent depression but it can help me lighten up and stop taking shit too serious.

In the articles they mention that the original Change.org petition to shut down the film was signed by a small feminist organisation. Has anyone figured out which group did it?

Definitely get a professional opinion and don't do anything physical until you discover what is actually wrong. Read and meditate in the mean time.

Comments TL;DR: Male sexuality is bad, female hypergamy is good.

It's been said before but I'll say it again, feminism is one big shit-test. OP is placing the majority of the blame on feminism when we all know we could watch less porn, perform more reps and hit the city to open a bunch of women. Hypergamy exists to push men to their limits it's time to aim high.
/r/TheRedPill04/08/16 02:44 PM
2

Probably. I don't trust most of the mainstream media to portray it in a fair way though. Time to hone focus on creation. Your body, your mind, your projects.

I'll add my tip. Go on omegle and strike up conversations with strangers. It's not the same as in person but it still provides a bit of pressure. After a few conversations with strangers on omegle you will become more relaxed about talking to strangers. Be mindful of how you feel. Identify the parts of the ego that cause trouble, accept their existence and learn to ignore them. They are nothing but thoughts. Stop giving them attention.
/r/TheRedPill28/07/16 02:31 PM

It's understandable but I still don't think I'd encourage it, unless you were obese or deformed.

Gotta lose that victimhood mentality bro.
/r/TheRedPill25/07/16 12:49 PM
6

Loved it. Definitely agree with Anteros here. MGTOW is more down the path of victimhood. Yes, women are capable of doing things that will hurt you BUT here at TRP are methods of overcoming x, y, z. Men are already checking out without the guidance of MGTOW. It doesn't need encouragement, it's the easy option and there will always be people taking the easy option. Just like a fat feminist who preaches fat acceptance, it's easier than losing weight. MGTOW isn't a solution it's an evasion.

You can want a young, uneducated girl and not be worried about divorce. Just don't get married. "The lowest divorce rates are among people who marry late with more education; the highest ones are among those who marry young with less education," Most of TRP are young guys and there is plenty of discussion on why you shouldn't get married. The points made by OP don't really apply to TRP. It seems to be a warped interpretation of the positives of dumb girls. We talk about sexual strategy and the b…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/16 01:13 AM
4

I don't know about it altering the likelihood of divorce but I think a woman's education is less important in the market. There is definitely a presence of this attitude within TRP. Sometimes even dumb girls are a preference because you only look smarter in comparison, therefor more capable of accomplishment, therefor more attractive.

You said you don't know radicals in real life, I was wondering if you had a real example on youtube or somewhere. Do you ever denounce these stereotypical tumblr sjws?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/16 12:58 PM
1

What is your definition of radical feminist? Do you have any examples outside who you know personally?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/16 12:37 PM
1

The thing is, 3rd wave feminism is very different from it's predecessors. It's like a band with none of the original members. It could do with a new name to differentiate people like the example you gave.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/16 10:13 AM
1

This is a very valid point but these younger, "anger phase" feminists are enabled by major platforms to share their views. I don't see any "true" feminists correcting their mistakes, but people who aren't feminists. Often these people are ridiculed for internalised misogyny, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/16 10:02 AM
2

I would argue that it's more than "some of its members". I don't see other people calling themselves feminists while also disagreeing with the actions within the ideology. Those that disagree let go of the term feminism because the term has been hijacked.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/16 08:18 AM

It's a fantastic comparison. The majority = muslim/gender equality. The extremist = terrorist/feminist. TRP is information. It has flaws. How that information is used is up to the individual. Feminism is being forced upon people, TRP is not.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/16 08:15 AM
3

I agree. I just wanted to point out why people try to be conventionally attractive. Both men and women do this thing where we like to identify when someone is 'punching above their weight'. I don't think it's good but I do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/16 07:26 AM
8

But your preferences are a smaller minority. The 'ideal' isn't the same for everyone. The ideal is what the most people collectively agree on. If I steer towards what is ideal to the largest collective, then don't I improve my chances of someone liking me?

so glad you could CMV.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/16 06:14 AM

Basically, you'll be able to be arrested simply for communicating with a woman. Is this not hypergamy at it's worst?

I feel this lack of respect you speak of. It's like a bi-product of unplugging but it sounds like you can still hold onto the reality. That he is just some guy who got caught up in a relationship with little knowledge of what he was getting into.

Divorced my dad after 3 years of marriage. Relationships since have lasted on average 2-3 years. Hamsters on lack of 'love' in relationship. The reality is that she can't get past the infatuation phase.

I think the beef with feminism is that there is a lot of emphasis on not placing girls in uncomfortable situations. If you're a single guy who wants to get laid regularly and is perhaps not that socially savvy, the chance are that you're going to put some girls in uncomfortable situations. No guy wants to be considered 'creepy' or any other variant of that. It's very easy then to go day-to-day seeing girls that you're interested in, but not going for it incase she isn't interested you. Average w…

That's more or less it man but if I prep say 5-6 meals which is typical for a full batch in my slowcooker, I don't even freeze them. I have the rice etc already with it so I don't have to make it fresh but that would depend on your preference.

20 hours a week is only temporary. I'm looking for work right now. This post is how I do it.

True. It could do with an entire post of it's own though.
/r/TheRedPill06/07/16 01:02 AM

I used to do it. Pretty cheap setup too, just fill up a jar with ground beans and water then let it sit for about 24 hours right? That's what I used to do anyway. The problem I found was that it didn't really stretch the use of the beans. I found that I would go through 250g of coffee in one week where it would last me more like 3 if I was brewing it fresh.

I'm 24. I see what you're saying but do you actually think it's a good idea to chase money so that women chase me? I've got free time working part time, how about I take my chances on the town a couple of nights a week?

That would require an entire post itself. I don't actually know that much which is why that part was brief. I paid $2,850 about a year ago for my 1999 mazda 626 wagon. It's at about 190,000kms. I've had no significant expenses for it so far. I pay for 3rd party car insurance and it's under $200 for the year. I'd recommend buying something Japanese or that is generally known to be reliable. Always check the water and oil levels. Service it by changing the water/oil/filters every 5k-10k kilometres…

It's never hard man. On occasion some of it will dry out in the microwave. Just add a little tap water before microwaving (with a loosely placed lid) and you steam it back to life.

Mostly because I don't tolerate milk. Look at the ingredients and buy whatever is just coconut and water, none of the added shit. I always buy the coconut cream because it costs the same as coconut milk but the only difference is the coconut to water ratio.

You've got it man. I agree with all of this. Yeah I'm in a share house too. The situation isn't perfect but we make it work. I had considered adding that if you want to purchase equipment for your workout, get a power rack. Definitely stick to the compound lifts and their variations. It's a decent financial commitment so I didn't include it.

A few years ago there was a service in Australia provided by kogan that was prepaid for 1 year. The deal was too good to be true and the mobile service they used dropped the contract and everyone using the service had to be refunded. Because the deal was so good and so many people were jumping over, all other companies had to compete. Other prepaid services were really cheap at the time. because nothing says, “I’m not a loser who can’t get laid” like having to resort to rape to get laid. This is so often misconstrued by the mainstream narrative. Rapists and school shooters are all beta. They have no good friends, their dad is a loser and girls want nothing to do with them. Yet time and time again feminists will blame 'toxic masculinity' for these crimes, yet if these men had decent role models and we're lead down a path of masculinity, they wouldn't resort to such crimes. Tends to be worse in winter because the air is drier. It's probably not as bad as you think but let me know if you figure out some better prevention. I get it a bit now, I've never tried the apple vinegar and bicarb combo. I used to get dandruff when I used shampoo/conditioner anyway, often worse.
/r/TheRedPill25/06/16 05:40 AM

/r/TheRedPill24/06/16 04:04 AM

If you're going to do Project_Thor's method, I have heard of it before but do a little research first. I find that when I have dandruff, my scalp isn't the only thing that's dried out. My face and some of my body is too. It currently is dandruffy because it's winter here atm and the air is dry as fuck. It's helping for me to stimulate the scalp under the shower and to make the shower only warm not hot. It's still not perfect though.

I sit in the chair and at the end of the cut he'll ask me if I want wax. I tell him "nah man, I don't use products in my hair hey." The assumption is always that I must still shampoo right? Wrong.

You could easily hire a few male models/chads to do it for real then on social media you have a bunch of photos of hot men/women in your club and BOOM business. But let's not kid ourselves. It's exponentially easier for a man to enjoy the majority of his sexual experiences than it is for a woman. In what way though? Perhaps there is more guilt attached to being promiscuous, but objectively, the act itself relies more on the male's skill. Size of the dick. Maintaining erection. Prolonging ejaculation (endurance). Generally being physically fit for performance. This really relies on practise and unless you're in a relationship or a top 10% male, you're no…

Unfortunately I see the same thing in me and I'm starting to think it's another one of those aspects of being raised in a feminine environment. Men take risks. I've never been encouraged to take risks, in fact, I was always praised for being no trouble at all. You have to be willing to get a drink thrown in your face. The premise of this post comes up every now and then here. While I agree there are many problems that can be caused by porn, I skimmed over you post and didn't really find anything ground breaking. Like, congratulations and all but many people in this sub are aware of the negative affects of porn. Perhaps there should be a general overview of this topic in the side bar and we can put it to rest.

I don't think it will help him in life, so no. I don't really have an answer. I want to say I'd stand up for boys in situations like that but it can cause drama. We are, in a big way, conditioned to care about womens needs, even if they're actually negatively impactful. For example, my grandmother is very dominant in the family and everyone bends to her frame. When we were kids she basically force fed us, even if we said no. To this day she still asks if want x, y, z and when we say no she asks,…

I know what you mean. I am of the same mind that I don't really care if a grown woman is acting like that, if the genders are reversed it is more risky. I guess TRP can relate more to being lied to as children, igniting our betaphobia.

Do you really think it's a genetic mutation though? Of course there are guys who don't care for a "teens" category of sex but I think the appeal of it is pretty standard. They are as you outlined, teenagers who are having sex as biology has permitted them fit for reproduction, yet is it really a mutation to be attracted to someone who is able to reproduce? Immoral, yes, but I think it's a natural tendency to be attracted to young fertile girls, at least a small percentage.

Definitely. But, hypothetically, if it were sitting naked in my lap, wanting me, it would take great willpower to resist taking it any further.

I've never heard of a socially adept boy/man who has good friends, who has had at least some success with women, be a pedophile. It seems like the brain becomes predatory, opportunistic, desperate, when a male is useless. Watch "to catch a predator" they're not jocks, musicians, etc. Each and every one of them are fucking losers. Same goes for mass shooters. Fucking losers who don't know how to get what they want.

Fair enough. I know my example is tame compared to yours but I wanted to see where you might draw the line. My sexuality leads me to be attracted to girls who might be, and are under age. Should there be some sort of repercussion if I never act upon it, or am I still mildly problematic?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/16 11:39 AM

There is a clear double-standard for sexuality and not choosing to be a certain way. The difference is that gay people aren't hurting anyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/16 11:36 AM

It doesn't really go with the whole, you don't choose your sexuality idea. I tend to believe that a pedophile didn't just decide to become one, one day. I don't pardon them for acting out but I do believe that if someone where in this situation there wouldn't be an outlet for them to express such a problem. Who's going to listen to them when people demonise such an idea so much. When in reality it's a human aberration. Also, how would you feel if I (23) were at the mall, happened to catch a glim…

RP standards for marriage tend to lean toward conservative. Marriage in our grandparents (and earlier) time lasted much longer than today. Feminism has largely torn that apart with no actual solution for a successful monogamous relationship.

You sparked a whole bunch of my own experiences here also. My sister is also always talking to my 5 year old cousin about girls when he has no interest in them and telling him how he should treat them and what he should do. My aunties, who are both useless, have hassled me on multiple occasions, asking me "where's your girlfriend?", "You're not a player are you?" At a fucking family gathering, fuck off. Your statement is 100% correct. You've presented a common example of the "nice guy", the one that is just as much of a sex fiend as any other but attempts to be "nice" to get sex. Your argument against what is scrutinised in these men, is solid. They want both things, a cute relationship and sex. Both of these needs fulfilled. I don't believe this ideal is exclusive to the "nice guy". I believe redpiller, through to MGTOW, through to feminist, all want this ideal. Mostly. The problem we face is …

But you see the opposite to an abundance mindset is the scarcity mindset. Scarcity mindset is a belief that there are limited possibilities which builds personal belief that you cannot change. Like nothing you do matters, so why do anything? Abundance is about infinite possibilities, while perhaps unrealistic, mindset works in this way, if you believe in abundance, how do you think your behaviour would change? Look, I really like your main point in this thread. It is much like my belief, heres my analogy; We are all dealt our cards in life which are unequal. To do the best we can with those cards is the main course of action (lift weights, eat healthy, good job, etc). But feminists want to change the rules. They want to win with less in their hand. They want more opportunities for themselves with less responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/15 11:39 PM

Ok, so you mentioned that it comes down to being pissed at women. That isn't what I said. I am pissed at feminism because it allows women to be cunts. Do you see the difference? It's much easier to blame THOSE BITCHES than to do the real work it takes to pull your shit together. Most people travel the path of least resistance. Stop encouraging it. A good point but obvious. Feminism has a parallel, it's easier to be a fat loser than to be a hot woman that men actually want to be around. So both exist separate and together.

I explained why it was frustrating, objectively. I didn't say victimhood mentality didn't exist. Can you see why such feelings may surface? The alternative was to listen to poor advice, and do the classic, beta/'nice-guy'. To do the same ineffective thing but harder would lead to the same poor results. Modern feminism is obnoxious and repulsive. It allows women the freedom to be cunts if they choose to with little repercussion and men are getting sick of it, e.g, MGTOW, PUA, TRP, etc. Those thin…

I can see men blaming everything on feminism/women while first resonating with trp ideas. A lot will feel cheated. I know I did. Any advice from women, including my mother's was completely opposite to what was actually effective. That's frustrating. Trp also greatly encourages an abundance mentality. Perhaps to combat such frustration. Victimhood mentality is actively discouraged.

The community itself is 110% beta but I commend anyone willing to change for the better. The particular behaviour at hand is hugely controversial but I've been there. My best streak was 111 days. I was right into it a couple of years ago and I believe it played a part in my development towards alpha. There is a lot of cringe there but this is men in modern western society. There is a huge difference between being a good man and being good at being a man. If anyone hasn't read "the way of men" yet, go do it. I think that TRP along with other groups such as MGTOW, PUA, MRA, is nothing more than a reaction to feminism. We sense the unfair nature of their movement and came to be through our own dissatisfaction. The main difference is that we openly admit to what we want to achieve, feminism is female hedonism disguised as 'equality'.

Both MRAs and feminists are major victims in society. It's easy for anyone to listen to either side and nod their head thinking "that's so true" but the fact of the matter is that there are a lot of dissatisfied people. They're looking for something to blame on their short-comings but failing to consider that we live in a far from perfect world. TRP direction needs to be based solely on playing the game of life the best you can with the cards you're dealt.

That's fair. We should definitely be respectful to everyone. Do you ever get the urge to belittle someone when you see weakness? I do on occasion and occasionally act on that feeling. Not by going up to someone and ruining their day but making a comment to a friend for a laugh. I think that additionally we should build sturdier mentalities from childhood. You will inevitably come across confrontational people in life and should learn how to deal with it effectively.

You're right on that point, male preference can vary more than some women might think. Especially when you drop a tier from 10, there are obvious outliers that almost all men want to fuck. When you hit the 6-9 range, a girl I might consider a 9 another guy might consider her a 6 or vice vera. That's fair, do you draw a conclusion for why some girls have a warped sense of what men realistically desire?

It's probably a combination of both. I'd like to add that when you really think about it, it's kind of insulting for some women to try and dictate your preferences. You only like women who look like that for x reason. Quite frankly, I don't know why I like what I do and the best way to describe it has been that men are more visual creatures. Though I haven't been in a situation where I've needed to be physically defensive with a female, I've decided that if I absolutely need to, my first move is to push her. Really fucking hard. Let gravity and surrounding objects do the rest.

It was really only an overreaction in the sense that your frame broke. It's understandable because the dog is family. Better to have put her in her place than to have sat back and allowed that kind of behaviour in your home.

I'm 22 and am prone to depression and anxiety. I've never been suicidal but the way things were going with my beta mentality it seems like a possibility if I had not figured this shit out. I had always been hopeless and nervous around girls, particularly ones I was remotely interested in. Stumbled upon trp 6+ months ago and have been slowly incorporating the knowledge. I have a fighting chance now. I'd say I'm just getting past the anger phase. I'm getting laid for the first time in 2 years. Stu…

This is sound advice. I've recently seen the value in holding my frame while she's being emotional and irrational. She ended up apologising to me the next day for the incident.

I do and it helps a lot. Recently I've faced a new beast called injury. I will get my testosterone levels checked, thank you.

It's a factor in why I'm settling for a fat chick atm. How can you carry yourself like a man when your own brain is sabotaging your progress. The top comments are about vetoing the fat chick. It's the first time I'm getting laid in about 2 years so it has its value. Practise being the major reason.

Idk. For a long time I've had poor self-esteem. It's related to my complete incompetence with the opposite sex and lack of masculine identity.

Holding frame is immersing them in your reality. It is underrated and the biggest sticking point I've improved in my game.

Back to struggling with porn/fapping. I use it as a crutch along with alcohol and junk food. My mental health has been worse than ever due to injury keeping me out of the gym for 4 months so far. Losing gains and losing my mind.

I'm stuck in a similar situation. Accepting that time off is necessary is hard. Especially when something such as lifting or archery is such a valued part of life. Perhaps giving the physical a rest for now and studying is the right move.

I don't know how to bring friends through. It's noble of you to do so but your focus is better directed towards yourself. Let your actions and achievements be a real world example for them. It's difficult to be direct with such ideas and everyone has their own understanding of how things work. I've suggested things, perhaps in the wrong ways, to my friend and have had little luck. He's pretty stubborn as it is. I get the feeling that his focus was on how I came across like I was better than him …

Since doing the nofap challenge for 111 days I feel a great difference. I no longer rely on the dopamine hit that PMO gives me. It strikes from time to time, particularly when I'm low. As you said, take an honest look at your habits to determine if they are hindering you. What I and many others considered a normal habit turned out to be a problem for me. Porn still calls my name sometimes and yes I do give in on occasion. I will continue to break free of it. I now masturbate once fortnightly fre…

Quite often posts on this sub do lead to hate but this is a fantastic reminder of what I should be about. I understand how important holding yourself to a high standard is and being the best version of yourself. I try to reach out in ways, probably the wrong ways, to friends. It doesn't get received well when I talk about not watching porn anymore or not playing video games. Things so many young guys love to do. I realise now why people here stress that you're on your own in this and everything …

I've never understood how this can be a problem. Your physical appearance will get you further in life as a result and all you can do is complain.

You're right and part of me feels no better than a feminist for bitching about the opposite gender in this way. It was something that struck me at 2am and I felt the need to get the revelation off my chest. When I put it in words it made even more sense. Recently, I've felt mentally and physically stronger than ever before. TRP material & other sources are shaping me and correcting the internalised wrong. For once in my life I feel like the ball is in my court.

What you're saying makes a lot of sense. You feel no shame for the actions you make because that is what you felt was right in the moment. I assume you meditate, can you tell us about how?

For too long I've looked up to my father and it got me nowhere. Now there is always this part of me that is disappointed in him and it's hard to take any of his advice on board. Worse yet, I know it must make him feel terrible and I don't know how to change this.

Sometimes all it takes is for someone to say what you had thought was so important for so long. No more half assed commitment. Disipline is now a way of life. As a lot of us may know, doing the things that truly matter can be some of the hardest when we start to go off the rails. True story: I had been down for a few days and on one morning I decided to sun bake and continue to read Models by Mark Manson. Just the positivity and rationale thinking in his words/ideas resonated. It reminded me of …

It's kind of funny. Their opinion of the term 'slut' is directly related to other females they associate with. As long as they're not as bad as <insert slut>, then they're not one.

I can only ever see this working if your body language is A+. Anything but and she is likely to feel creeped out. That line itself feels like a creepy thing to ask someone you don't know. It would be better to simply introduce yourself and see how she responds first. If she responds positively then I guess the conversation should take a normal course. If she were to ever ask why you were talking to her then I would say something a long the lines of "I wanted to find out if you were as interestin…
