We notice, we're just so freakin tired of fighting it and trying to get them to see our side of it. It's exhausting and they have no desire to learn.

THIS is exactly why I will not have children. I love my husband to the ends of this earth, but this is my actual nightmare. Sorry not sorry, I like my own guilt free time.

This wouldn't work on me. I'd just think they were stupid, and if you're too stupid to learn how to work a washing machine, you're too stupid to be in a relationship.

Yes!! The whole "being forced to do it otherwise you're stuck living in it" I HATE when a place is cluttered. I physically cannot relax or think about other tasks if there's a sink full of dishes. So just because it doesn't bother him enough to wash his dishes, I have to suffer? And I will slap the next person to say you should have asked... Who the heck do you think asks me to do all of it??

Don't make me have to delegate and assign you tasks to do like I would to a child unless you want me to lose all attraction for you. Use your damn eyes and see that the sink full of dishes need to be moved to the dishwashe! Biggest turn off ever is having to be the house manager.

It was on the askMen subbreddit earlier today. So I agree, the self selection bias is pretty strong, reddit isn't really known for its upstanding values.

Woman are badass, we can accomplish so much while still being looked down on as lesser by much of society. But if you have standards and look for a man that can step up to your level, it can be really awarding to have that partnership. While my husband may still be learning how to clean & cook, he can kick ass at any house renos I throw his way, which I am still learning how to do. The key is to find someone who adds to your life not make it harder!

I think my earliest sign that I had chosen "the one" is when he would ask questions about periods, menopause and all things uterus without looking disgusted or embarrassed Yes! That's exactly how I feel about my husband. We're both very open with eachother without getting embarrassed. I have chronic UTIs and he's the first man I've ever been able to bring it up with. That's how I knew he would be a keeper. I'd also add if the guy has sisters that he's close to is a great indicator on how he view…

This is why I would be extremely apprehensive on having children. This and the thought of being pregnant/childbirth complications is the very definition of my personal hell. And the biggest problem is, you just don't know 100% that your man is going to be part of that 1/1000 until you're already there.

You're so right. There's a posts on reddit every day from a woman complaining that her bf isn't working but she's still expected to clean and do all the housework after coming home from her full time job. If a partner wants to stay home instead of work, that's fine, but then they need to step up in other areas of the relationship. I'd expect the same if I chose to stay home instead of my husband as well.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
