A ton of the spammers of this topic are alt accounts. They slip up and cross post verbatim across accounts pretty often. They're not legitimate users of the sub and some fairly substantial evidence exists that they're hostile to it. Someone posted a video on that topic here that changed my mind on it. The speaker made the argument that its legally untenable gor one to be legal and the other not. Thats a strong argument for both to made legal without precondition. There is no argument against circumcision that can't also be made against baptism. Somebody on this sub plated a video that changed my perepective on the subject. The speaker had made the argument that its legally untenable for only one to be legal. That to me is a strong argument to rescind laws against FGM. If somebody could post the video that would be great. And really if they are or aren't worse than one another it doesn't matter. Hate to say it but I suspect its done this way by design. While researching something else I found some evidence that social services make conscious effort to not identify child sexual abuse committed by adult women. They're not blind or stupid. They're not malicious either. But they knowingly allow children to stay in homes where they suspect this is going on. The statistics they have point to this being 15% of sex abuse cases but everyone agrees its underreported. Its absurd.
