Once again I was replying to OP who said that men are prize because they accumulate wealth. Average Joe accumulates nothing so it means that majority of men, even according to OPs logic are not prizes. You seem yo think that women care only about mens wealth and nope thats not the right way of thibking
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 02:47 PM

My original comment was debunking OP’s point. You’re the one claiming women are prizes if they’re traditional wives and men if they accumulate wealth, that’s exactly what I disagree with. You even admitted people see each other as prizes personally, which proves the point: value is subjective. There’s no universal prize ranking’ for humans
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 10:41 AM
2

And you didnt read mine. You’re assuming prize has an objective standard. It doesn’t. What someone considers valuable varies wildly. One person’s garbage is another persons treasure.

Prize to whom? Ill ask again. There are women whod prefer to not to be traditional, but have a partner who’s not a bum, maybe not rich rich, but upper middle class, where both partners contribute. I dont look for a man with too much wealth, since if you marry for money you pay for every cent.

Prize to whom? Average man is not a price and he cant accumulate enough wealth. These who can are in the minority and yeah they are prize and we can see how many women try to get them.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 08:19 PM

Nah. Older women are often more religious because they were raised in a very different world. In earlier generations, survival depended much more on community networks. Religion and the church were often at the center of those communities. At the same time, many people were exposed to religious beliefs from birth, so those ideas became deeply ingrained. Because of this, religion was not just a belief system but also part of everyday social life and identity. When your family, neighbors, and soci…

I have to disagree. Obedience and admiration of authority arent gender specific. A clear example is the military. Armies are among the most hierarchical and obedience driven institutions and historically they have been overwhelmingly male. This shows that obedience to authority is not something uniquely associated with women. The fact that women often outnumber men in churches can be better explained by historical social structures. For most of history, women had very limited access to political…

Duh, so youre saying women being legally dependent on men unable to leave marriages is great deal for them? For most of history, women were structurally trapped. The double burden today isn’t caused by feminism it’s what happens when reality changes but expectations don’t. Feminism didn’t force women to work. It gave them the option to leave situations they were once unable to escape.

What happens when i had no mindblowing sex at all lol not even with toxic partners? 😀😀😀
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 07:20 AM

Would you stay with someone who gives you no affection and you have sex once in 2 months? 😀 Im not gonna settle in the relationship where Im miserable. If you say that women who are able to support themselves tolerate less, aha thats the point. Women with their own home, car and job wont tolerate bullshit. Become a person that fulfills your partners needs and trust me, she wont leave you because you earn less.

Ax dude, in previous relationship as well as in current one, Im the one earning more. The reason of demise of first relationship wasnt that. It was that he got too comfortable, didnt work at all even this would be tolerable, but he also refused to do a housework, I would tolerate even that and was (im not a very neat person) but he became cold and distant, we didnt have sex for months, he was rude with me etc etc. In my current relationship my partner works, is attentive and loving, but has erec…

Being a sole provider is very stressful. Been there done that. I cant really resonate with women who want to be fully provided, but I also cant resonate with the men who are eager to accept that job. I dont want to provide for a full grown adult nor do I want to be his mom.. I want to be smth in the middle, but if I had to choose between the extremes and being single were out of the question probably Id choose being a sole provider, at least you know that youre not the only being under the finan…

None of the people are inherently masculine or feminine. So you imply for women wanting to take a less feminine role in the relationship equals to antagonizing a relationship? Doubt that a a true masculine man would think so, fragile men, that lack confidence and want to boost their egos on the expanse of their partner do think so, from your comment you leave that impression. Btw why do you assume that it were my exes who broke up with me? Actually it was me, when i could no longer accept their …

What are men not attracted to?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 11:48 PM
1

To be considered attractive by whom?Yeh if you want to be „conventionally” attractive, yes you are bound to represent specific physical features and traits. But what Generally is considered attractive doesnt determine what an individual is attracted to! No one asks you to adhere to gender roles, you are forcing yourself since you’re terrified of being rejected by society or being alone, or you have standards you yourself cant meet. Im all for having standards, but if you yourself are Too far fro…

Its very rare for one man to encompass all of these traits all at once, id say its almost impossible. And also the perception of these traits is quite subjective. how do we measure how funny person is, for example I dont enjoy mainstream humor so person who is generally considered as funny wouldnt do a thing for me, aslo id like to take into account that our sense of humor matching id consider as a last factor in deciding whether or not id date a guy. It still means that youre not taking your partner as they are though and want her to start playing arm to arm. It still means thT youre trying to chNge her or want her to lie to the world for your comfort instad of meeting halfway. Feels icky

Im curious, how do you think what women as a whole are attracted to?

It feels like, the conversation will soon take direction tk the height. Lemme tell you, this is bullshit, Ive been attracted to guys shorter than me, taller than me, skinnier than me, more muscular than me. Some of then were generally considered handsome, some of them not so much, some were established, some werent and so on. None of these things are important for being aftracted to someone.. chemistry, thAt whAt matters

Once again Ive never stated that i represent all the women nor am I speaking on their behalf. We are all individuals. Im speaking strictly of my personal experience. I never wanted a traditional man in the relationship, my partners were okay with that but in the public tried to make our dynamics look more traditional knowing my dislike of traditional gender roles
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 10:42 PM

Huh I said that Ive never wanted a traditional man..

Mhm I understand your point of view.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 10:31 PM

I dont think that we agree on the definition of very desirable. Desirable differs for everyone. What I mean is that they did have options, but it doesnt mean that any woman would fall foe them. The world is not that black or white.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 10:30 PM
2

Well, men are not monolith. Thats why I said some men. And I came from my personal experience. You mentioned most of the women, yeh maybe, due to gender roles but I wanted to inquire a different topic. If men like to be desired, pursued and more egalitarian in private why do they try to keep a face of being more traditional in public?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 10:28 PM
1

Women who would like to take initiative do exist, yeh maybe they are in the minority, but different question arises here, if they expresses their interest would you be able to keep up and are you secure in your masculinity? If you are not 100% sure dont try to engage with this kind of woman, it will spare both of you from heartache
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 10:20 PM
1

They did want both things, in private more egalitarian relationship benefited them, but in the public they feared of being emasculated..
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 10:17 PM
1

Thats the point they didnt want traditioanal gender roles privately, just wanted to show to the world that they were traditional, for others to have that perception of us of beint traditional.

I brought an examples and I asked for men’s perspective. If you have nothing to contribute to the conversation feel free to disengage or ignore

But your friends and your family are the part of your private life. What you imply is that youre into roleplaying, nothing wrong with that, but I wouldnt enjoy that kind of arrangement for surw
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 10:08 PM
1

I actually feel that they enjoyed being pursued and feeling desired but behind the closed doors. In the society they were trying to enhance more traditional gender roles, that was always the reason of I doom, since what i looked in LTR was a partnership and equalityZ

Yes I know that, I just dont understand why these guys go after women they would want to change and mold into someone different?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 10:01 PM
2

Then date someone more feminine? Why should I change, hide myself or pretend because of your insecurities?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 10:00 PM
1

I know that, but then why start a relationship if you know that youll always be ashamed of your partner?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 09:58 PM
1

Yes, ive seen it alot and I brought a real examples from my life
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 09:57 PM
2

Doubt that, since most of the guys I dated were quite attractive.. and relationships also were quite long. It always seemed like privately they wanted me to be myself but in the eyes of others they tried to take more dominant role, throwing me under the bus in the process.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 09:56 PM

I have no problems with being rejected, its understandable that not everyone may feel attracted towards me. And as I mentioned in my post I truly do like to be an initiator, to flirt, to mesmerize, to conquer (not in an aggressive way) I do find pleasure in that. Problem usually used to arise later, when they tried to mold me into someone I wasn’t in the eyes of their inner circle.. And it always seemed odd to me, why date me if you dont want me as I am?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 09:52 PM

Is it so? My boyfriends loved to express how they appreciate having more assertive partner, but were ashamed of it in public?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 09:47 PM
2

Hm they always admired my independence privately but in public always tried to make me smaller in subtle ways. Its kinda interesting because it seems like they truly did want me but at the same time were ashamed of me and tried to change me? Why try to change me if you get attracted to me the way I am? Usually it was my number 1 reason of initating break ups..
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 09:45 PM

Being in a community can be hell, when you dont share their values. Youre generalizing, for me money brings more pleasure than being with family etc etc. Traveling, getting to know yourself and the world, living comfortably and not being dependant someone financially, thats the best thing for me… thats fullfilment

But is not abortion getting out of it,

I’m a fence sitter. I don’t want to get pregnant right now and if I ended up would abort 100%, but I’m not sure what will be my mindset in 5 years. So according to you I should get sterilized? It has nothing to do with the procedure being unpleasant, I’m just not sure whether or not Ill want kids in the future.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 11:04 PM

Im not a conservative, nor am I leaning right, nor am I a man. I just think that if we want an equality, we should act accordingly. Theres nothing good in forcing someone to do something they dont want to.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:59 PM
1

Well we can, we can prosecute them?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:57 PM
1

Thats such a wrong take. Abortion is not wrong. No one should be forced to stay pregnant or be financially responsible for a child they don’t want.. Did mother decide that she wanted to have a child alone? She should pay with the help of the government. Moreover I think the government should help each and every parent who needs a help, since at the end of the day its the society that benefits the most from the existence of the new generation.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:56 PM
1

well I think that taxpayers should pay for an unwanted children why not? Its the society who benefits the most from children being born
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:51 PM

But he doesn’t want kid in that particular situation, from that particular person. Why should he get a vasectomy?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:49 PM
1

Yeh, so someone who decided that wanted to have that child should pay. Not someone who doesn’t want to do anything to do with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:42 PM
1

If a women doesnt want it, she can abort it, or give it up for an adoption, but if a man somehow convinces her to give birth and him to keep a child, sure

I mentioned that I cant wrap my mind when couples dont discuss that before having an intercourse. But sometimes people do chAnge mind
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:32 PM
1

As you see forcing them doesnt really work, since many men still find ways, people can get very creative trying to avoid something they dont want. If men had an opportunity to admit from the start that they dont want to take part in that endeavor, it would be better for the society since less unwanted kids would be born overall, there would be less miserable single mothers in poverty and so on. Feminism is the movement that emphasizes the importance of equality of sexes. thats what Im for, so ye…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:30 PM

None of them are good options, but I think 4th is the most reasonable, since at the end of the day its the society that benefits the most from children being born.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:17 PM

Thats a bad comparison. Accidents usually happen after one of the drivers makes mistake and violates rules. Pregnancy happens because two people had sex. (Excluding rape).
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:14 PM
3

Yes Im aware that some women do deal with trauma after abortion. But knowing that, they should also be more choosy about who they have sex with and discuss beforehand. I wish it was more socially acceptable to have an abortion, in this case it would be less traumatic for women to have them and less unwanted children would be born. Relinquishing rights for a potential child should usually happen during pregnancy, while woman still has the choice to abort. If we are going for the equality with the…

If its mens fault, that he put the sperm there, so is women’s fault since she had an egg floating in fallopian tube.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 10:01 PM
3

Idk how its done in your country, but in my country the party who caused the accident by breaking rules, pays. Thats not a good comparison since pregnancy is caused by two people having sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:59 PM
2

I dont know how its done in your country. But in my country the side who contributed to the accident aka broke rules pays for the repairment of the damage. Or they to go the court. If both parties were involved and none of them broke rules, each of them takes care of their vehicles.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:57 PM
2

Im a woman.. and I dont think that men age better than women. How you age depends on different factors starting from genetics ending with lifestyle. And as men age their sperm quality also decreases. There are exceptions of course, but no majority of man cant have a healthy offspring after 45.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:53 PM
1

But whether or not it was agreed in the hypothetical situation shouldn’t matter, since people do change their minds.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:50 PM
1

Yes, so? If men have more physical strength they should be able to dominate women? Our biology shoulnt define us if we want a real equality with men, we should act accordingly.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:48 PM
1

Im not a man. Im a woman and nope, if I decide to bring the child in this world in circumstances when the sperm donor says that he doesn’t want to do anything to do with it, I have to come up with the ways to support this child. Thats what equality is.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:44 PM
1

Agree would be good.. but I dont think that people want bigger taxes.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:41 PM
-2

Yeh, Im aware, that they are, but I dont think that its equal. Once again, your point is the same as prolifers that women should be responsible and carry fetus to term if they had sex. And yeh, Im feminist, and I think that men and women should have equal rights and that sexes should be equal.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:40 PM
2

Yes woman should be informed before she loses the chance to abort. If abortion is illegal, then theres nothing to speak about. If woman learns about the pregnancy after the abortion window, too bad, then both people should be forced to support their offspring. We should be okay with not bringing children in this world if we are not able to support them in case one parent decides to opt out.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:34 PM
1

Sometimes it happens even if youre careful. As they say life finds a way.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:26 PM
0

No birth control is 100%. Condom can break, pill can be inacctive, plan B may not work. And when these kinds of accidents happen, men should be able to relinquish their rights, as are women with havinf an abortion.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:25 PM
1

Different or not, its the risk of having sex participating by 2. But since we as humans have sex for myriad reasons, other than procreation if woman do have an option to abort, men should be able to ditch their responsibility as well. There will be less single moms and people will be more careful with who they have sex with.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:23 PM
2

But if she still proceeds with the pregnancy knowing that man wants nothing to do, it should be her responsibility. Supporting someone for 18 years may be easier than pregnancy and giving birth but is not smth many aspire to.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:19 PM
4

Nope he doesn’t want a permanent sterility, he just doesnt want a child in that particular situation. I think that for the best of the society unwanted children shouldnt be born.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:17 PM
0

Well youre free to, if thats what you want to
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:15 PM
-2

Id agree, if we as women didnt have right to abortion. But if we do, and thanks god we do, but after the sperm donor relinquishes his rights we should be the one to pay, if we decide to have a child, since he would revoke his responsibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 09:00 PM
-2

Well it depends on who’s at fault. Thats not a valid comparison since it takes 2 people to get pregnant and both of them participated in the creation of fetusZ
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:54 PM
1

Sure, but sometimes pregnancies do happen, even with the birth control. No birth control is 100%
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:51 PM
9

So your argument if you dont want children dont have sex is the same as pro-lifers when they justify the ban of the abortion with she should have closed her legs. People have sex for myriad reason, and everything holds a risk, even leaving our house in the morning, or driving a car..
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:49 PM
0

Well, in the situation implied by you, since they were on the board feom the start, they should at least pay child support. Regarding ditching his other parental responsibilities, I think its better to leave than be miserable and resent the child. If people knew what childrearing really encompasses and it wasn’t that romanticized way less people would be having kids. About the last part, i disagree with that decision. No matter what the government decides abortion is women’s right, but so is man…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:46 PM
1

I implied in my post that in my scenario abortion is legal and safe. Theres no need to force someone to do something. The women should be given information that they wont get a financial support, so they will be able to decide for themselves. Its way better than someone giving birth, having faith in child support and then be left with nothing, ruining her life..
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:39 PM
2

I think its almost same as forcing women going through pregnancy.. Almost.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:36 PM
1

Agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:35 PM
-2

Its surprising for me that the majority of people don’t discuss these issues before having sex. Why does proving what was said beforehand matters though? If he says there and then that be doesnt want it, woman should act according to that information.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:35 PM
-1

Thats why these things should be discussed beforehand. Well it depends, paying for something you didnt want from the start, is kinda discriminatory. One of the reasons why I lean to being childfree is the cost associated with having children. And yeh I agree for some women the abortion is traumatic, thats why they should have sex after considering all possible scenarios.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:32 PM
0

I think you misunderstand me. After being informed about pregnancy, men should have an ability to decide whether or not they want to somehow contribute to the upbringing of this child. If not, they should be able to document it and relinquish their parental rights. So now it will be up to the woman, what she does with this information.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:26 PM
3

Nope, its the same argument I usually see from prolife circles. Consent to sex doesn’t equal to consent to having kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:23 PM
1

Well if a woman decides to give birth in such scenario, its her responsibility to come up with the plan to pay for it. She has a choice and should have, but men should have a choice as well. You say the most men wouldnt pay for their kids? Well i dont agree to the most man part. If man does want kids he will stick around. Tbh I dont really undestand women, who decide to have kids in these circumstances, cant put myself in their shoes, because Id never.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:19 PM
0

But in these cases women do that themselves only for themselves and they should be the ones who hold the responsibility, because it was their choice to give their body to a fetus..
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:12 PM
-3

Nope what I mean is that after learning about the pregnancy he should have an ability to relinquish his parental rights, there should be some time period given for reconsideration and it should be in the timeframe of the legal abortion.. Before having sex couples should discuss what they plan to do in the case of accidental pregnancies…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:09 PM
-1

Why should they pay for something they don’t want? And yeh, I think that if the woman wants to abort she should be able to and man should contribute to the financial costs of the abortion..
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:05 PM
1

Where are you meeting these women? They are not in the majority for sure. For me I always went 50:50 on the first date. Id rather not be indebted to anyone. And even if they insisted on paying I declined. So did people in my friends circle. I think you need to widen your circle…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 07:13 PM
1

You are generalizing, as a fence sitter woman, more leaned towards childfree direction my experience has been the opposite. But lets assume, that you’re correct, these men still do agree with their wives and give in. So if they do give in and the child is here, the men should do his part of the parenting..
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 06:54 PM

Srsly Im late to this but Im astonished by your hypocrisy. Im a woman btw. Your argument is the same as when people say she should have closed her legs. Yukies
