No, seriously. ROTC members were judges at a competition for my team, and someone got injured, and they made fun of him while his lungs were closing and he was being put in the ambulance. They said to “walk it off” and “stop being a cry baby and just breathe”

Yeah, that’s just how fresh meat (as they call it) is treated here. I guess it’s supposed to be a rite of passage, but I have self-respect, so I’m not about to be assaulted and just take it, You know. To learn about the army, and honestly, I just wanted to be on the pt comp team, there were other reasons as well, but those aren’t related to gender equality for lack of better words, hazing, and bullying, among other things, but this is Texas, so I shouldn’t be surprised anyways. I didn’t include that in the post, so I understand your POV and appreciate you commenting.

Nah, so basically I come back the next day to open mat, and he asks to speak with me and says I’m not competing because someone I rolled with filled a report of me being rough and injuring them, and it was her because she is the only one I roll with besides this other dude I use to roll with. Yeah, and he basically told me to go easy on people that are weaker than me, and he’ll let me know if I can compete in the second competition. I respect him, but I don't feel like it was right for me to lose my hard-earned spot in the competition.
