True, the indie scene gives me hope at least. I do disagree on them not being able to make a good fps though, tools are getting better and better and stuff on par with classic fps like Halo or Fear can be made by small teams today. We're already seeing a rise in indie fps and I give it 5-10 years before the genre gets completely taken over by indie titles. Not gonna argue about graphics and open world cause those are a long way off, but the indie scene scope-wise seems like it's only 10-20 years…

It's almost like modern gaming has gone to shit now and there's like one good game per YEAR despite the industry being a trillion dollars richer. Almost like there's a reason oldschool games like Deus Ex, Halo and TF2 are still being played and relevant over a decade later, modern shit just doesn't have the staying power it used to.
