How many of you left because you wanted MORE?I’m there with you, the only difference is that I didn’t stay as long as you did, I’m leaving after 6 years and we a 3yo. I’m 32 now but need to work 2 jobs for a long time to be able to afford “more” for myself and my kid. For the trade off? I can always explain and I prefer to teach my son that if one day in life he felt unhappy, he can always leave and find happiness elsewhere. Kids are super important and mine is my world, but I should be happy in order to make him happy. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/25 12:49 PM
Guilt, AITA ?Thank you for your honest reply. I just want to clarify a few things. I’ve met with several therapists over the years, and the problem isn’t just that I’m unhappy—it’s that my wife and I rushed into marriage and we’ve never truly understood each other. We can’t have a conversation that lasts more than two minutes before it turns pointless, and we’re just fundamentally different people. As an immigrant from Iran, I worked incredibly hard to build a life here. I started with nothing, worked days a… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/06/25 03:55 AM
I told my wife I want to leave.I know exactly how OP feels, I’m walking in his shoes rn in a similar situation. Even if he made a mistake marrying, that does not justify staying. When you don’t feel happy and fulfilled you find a way to make yourself happy and fulfilled, we only live once, that’s simple. OP should have an open and honest conversation about his desires, and if things don’t work just proceed with your divorce respectfully. You can divorce and be supportive to your ex spouse, you might end up being very good fri… | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/06/25 01:30 AM

Guys, the peace of mind and silence is truly worth itYou had nothing when you married me, I brought you here(to this country) otherwise you would’ve ended up as a refugee. You should treasure me forever! Means letting her to control me and do whatever she says. Now that broke man is having a decent career, pays the rent and school fees. But in her eyes I’m just lucky! I am so good at fooling and using people. I used her and now I am using my manager at work who gave me this job! Ignores working full time then going to college at night. Long study … | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/11/24 04:27 AM
Guys, the peace of mind and silence is truly worth itWell why one would live with a partner like that forever? I’m going through the exact same thing and I would’ve ended this marriage if I had the financial means… we only live once and deserve to do what we want happily, without being gaslighted, blamed and shouted at. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/11/24 04:23 AM
