That's fair. We're trying to help guys of all kinds. So, hopefully some of the ones that you'd like get some actually helpful advice here. We sadly, can't make all men compatible with all women, we can just try to help them find love in their field.

Most men think sex is on the table. Probably, most of the best dates you had were probably with men that thought that, but didn't think it had to happen or were "outcome independent". Outcome independent men have the goal of just having a good time on the date. These men go with the flow and aren't hurt if they get the vibe that your not into sex on the first date, though they might bring it up very casually to test the water and do some light escalation that doesn't have to lead to anything dir…

I would like to point out that he starts by talking to fully autonomous beings to find out when they are usually ready for something, and then respecting that opinion. His initial opinion was that sex wasn't even on the table for the first date, and had been acting accordingly. We try to remember that women like sex as much as we do and sometimes more. Alot of autonomous beings are horny and attracted to other autonomous beings. Those that aren't horny/attracted to others are generally not going…

Why would you say he's obsessed rather than curious about something he was wrong about? Especially when he's been acting as if sex on the first date wasnt on the table until he asked women's genuine opinion. Should we be punishing him for actually asking questions, instead of assuming?

One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard is that it is better to be alone than be with the wrong person. Why should we care if they are working on any of these things, when we can see that they aren't and just move on? There are plenty of women who are more self aware than you described. Just as there are plenty of women who are exactly as you decribed, but those women have disqualified themselves from my dating pool. If they act like that, they are not good enough for us and require no fur…

So the right way is to make the attempt. When you have more practice you get to know what a good time is. If you're on a date, just find a time where you're both having a good time, and ask. If you have had good energy going and there's an awkward silence, sometimes that the right time to make a move, cause your both trying to figure out how to broach the subject. Asking awkwardly is better than going home wishing you tried. You usually shouldnt be totally blatant with it. "Lets go back to my/yo…

I definitely understand those issues as well as I think anyone can. I'm also aware that if we put all the onus of the problem on them, it tends to make men feel like women are to blame which also perpetuates the problem. So, I push back as much as I can against things that could perpetuate misogyny, especially in this sub. I'll agree that its good for women to learn to defend themselves, but its unrealistic to expect them to all do so or that said training brings them up to the level of possible…

I think she was being honest with you, and she was just looking to have a good time and wasnt worried about getting caught since her bf was elsewhere. So, then you get to decide if thats something you're ok with. Of course, maybe they have an open relationship or some other form of ethical non-monogamy, but I wouldn't assume that upfront. If you need more info from her just ask. If your ok with whatever the situation is, then move passed the questions and just have fun. That being said, she basi…

There's a bit of differences in method as well. I usually get first date sex, but I like to know someone before I ask them on a date, so Im sure I've made my own selection bias. I'm already going on a date with someone I know is into me. Cold opens and dating apps, probably are different.

So you've gotten passed the first hurdle then. Now you get to work on picking up signals. Its easier once you've relaxed and go with the flow. Its also wouldnt hurt to sometimes just ask if she wants to go back to your place before you get to the end of the night. Especially, if your getting great vibes from her. Something like "I'm having a great time and dont really want this to end, would you like to continue this at my place?" But use something that fits your situation or personality better.…

Its an everyone problem. Women are in a more dangerous world than men, because a lot of creeps are physically more powerful than them, know better how to fight, and those same creeps don't target men at the same rate. So constant insecurity is just a survival mechanism. Its rare that we have to physically fear for their insecurities, but in a moment of insecurity a man can quickly become dangerous. Men usually don't have to leverage anything other than their own body and natural instincts to be …

I think it would be better to say don't come off as a potential serial killer, abuser, or level 5 clinger, than to say to focus on safety.

Honestly, that should be everyones baseline. This is where we want everyone to be before they try to implement any "techniques." If you're not at ease and enjoying yourself then you're probably putting too much pressure on yourself to succeed. When you can feel like you've gone out for the last three nights and got no numbers and you don't care, then you're in the right mindset. Then you can get a connection and be very happy about it, and learn from your own success.

There's a little bit of selection bias here. Most tests are requested by men who think their SO's are cheating on them. So you have a higher number of cheating women in that sample size than would normally exist. With comprehensive testing (i.e. every baby is tested) it could drop to low single digit numbers easily, but could be as high as 15%. We wouldnt know without committing to universal tests.

Well, I think the average women is probably just more into sex than the hotter woman whos having it thrown at her everytime she goes out, and is bored with it or get more people that will do most of the work. I think alot of them view it as an easy way to feel good, and don't have as much incentive to perform well for their partner.

I think he's saying the standards are different, for a hookup, higher with some things like appearance, lower in somethings like maturity and compatibility. So "higher" standards is not strictly true.

So the important thing is that your demeanor is that you're relaxed, because relaxed means you're in control of yourself. I have been told that I sit in a feminine way a couple of times, but I have never let it change what I do. It could've increased my success rate with some women, but if I'm worried about how I'm sitting, then I'm not engaged in the conversation. Your focus needs to be on connecting with and enjoying your time with her. You have to expect that some girls will judge you about t…

"Being yourself" is shorthand for "not doing things simply because you think it will get you outcome x" Like, if your with your friends, you don't usually think "would it they think its funny if I said this?", and instead you just say it and it comes across more naturally. Thus when you're with a girl, you shouldn't sit awkwardly while you think about the best thing to say, just say the first thing that comes to you. It comes across as a more honest conversation, you start looking like you're lo…

Chemistry is a connection between 2 people. If you're not feeling it, its not there. Your job is to find common interests or passions, and be able to talk about it. Maybe you have to tell stories about yourself or ask about things your interested in that you think she might be as well. Sometimes it is personal goals or books youve read or shows you've watched or bands you like. If you are finding no overlap, then you are probably not interested in her and it will be near impossible to hook up. T…

Its almost like its a sub about seduction in general, which includes dudes getting into LTRs and dudes just trying to get laid for once in their lives, and everything in between. Lots of those dudes don't know what should be expected on a first date and thats the exact reason they are here. Its like you're looking at a bunch of toddlers and trying to say they are incompetent for shitting in their pants.

Just because some girls don't like you doesn't mean that all girls are closed off to you. Most women that are turned off by you will find the first physical trait they can identify and blame it on that, because they don't want to talk to you and want your interaction with them to be over quickly. Some men are so persistent that many women learn to be rude to be quick about their rejections, and some women are just rude because they have a big ego. What you should be looking for is someone who's …

Confidence is a by product of many things, but the less you have the less you get laid. Confidence is also a by product of not giving a shit about what people think about you or whether your going to get laid with a given person, doing things to make your life better and being able to just go out and have fun with no expectations. People are not just born with confidence, and while good looking people have an easier time getting it, they don't have a monopoly on it and its not guaranteed they wi…

If it didn't bother you, you wouldn't have sworn off the effort. Be honest with yourself, you'll go farther that way, because you'll actually be able to see what you need to improve, then you can ask how you can improve it.

Yeah man ugly people dont breed, that why everyone is 10/10 /s If you were born its proof that you have the genes that can get you laid. Both of your parents were genetically inclined to having kids and you only have their genes. 100% of the genes you have were from people who had sex, the vast majority of them more than once. Now maintaining a personality that is self indulgent in self loathing and constantly making excuses why no one likes them will actually keep you from getting laid.

I don't think that what OP is doing. I think he's devaluing putting too much work into seduction. I mean one of the best things you can do to help yourself in seduction is to relax and not overthink things. Alot of the advice we have is to get people to the point that they are not simping over every girl they come across and pulling women at large off any pedestal you have them on.

That because there is no generally good way to do so. Every situation is different every girl is different and every guy is different. Each of those differences modifies the others. Maybe you work better with kino (touching) or innuendo, but maybe the girl your with doesn't respond well to that, or maybe she responds well to specific types, or you're not in a location that lends itself well to what your strong in. r/seduction is here to help with what we can, but we can't do the work for you

So if you've gotten the fun stuff down, then you need to find how to make escalation natural. It needs to fit the environment you're in and you're creating. This is the big part because its the last step before success, and it is often the hardest part. With that in mind, there is only one way to learn it and that is to keep trying and learn from it and learn that you will fail until you don't. It may sound simple, but that's because its the core of the problem, and each situation is complex and…

The real answer is that you will be rejected so you need to be able to let the rejections slide off of you, but for a lot of people you have keep trying til you don't care, but the other way is to make it so that closing isn't your goal. Your goal should be to find out how to have fun with women long before you even consider trying to close. If you skip the having fun aspect, you'll fail 90% of the time. You have to learn how to relax around women, how to have something to talk about with women,…

Well, a year is good amount of time for stuff to end and if there is no further evidence, then its possible she actually stopped. The key words you've said are "as far as I know." So she might be doing stuff, but you don't know and it would be creepy to investigate too much further into this, unless you are her significant other. How religious a person is, is rarely a sign of what they are like when they are in private company. Plenty of religious people cheat.

If she isn't wanting to stop on her own, getting caught is probably not going to change much. She will probably be more careful for a while, but she won't stop unless she actually wants to stop. People can stop cheating, but it takes more than being found out for them to change that in general. Basically, if she cheated on someone 10 years ago, that might not be who she is today. If she was cheating last night, then she will probably be cheating again this month.

I don't think body count should really matter. I don't know that I would suggest bringing it up, but I wouldn't suggest lying about it or avoiding talking about it with any SO that you want to be with long-term, especially if they bring it up. Basically, if you don't feel like you can talk about it with them, then either your not fully vested in the relationship or your relationship is not healthy.

Not really. For guys what disqualifies someone is rarely time, its usually things like wasting our time or making us waste our time, dragging us into drama, the list goes on. You basically have to disqualify yourself somehow or they find someone else. 100%, no advice and nothing you read is going to make you good at seduction. The best it can do is give you a framework for improvement, but to actually build on that framework you have to actually practice the things you learn in the real world, and you will fail a lot early on. Between having the framework and putting things into practice, only the former is optional, because you can be successful as long as you're actually getting out there, because experience will teach you what we can't. It sounds like you lost confidence. So you need to work on that. Pick one or two things to work on, like your grades, going to the gym, or some hobby that can be social like music. Basically, anything that makes you feel like you're worth it. Also, get out there and talk with them until you're comfortable around them again. Do approaches if you can. I wouldn't put much more effort towards her after that. If she was interested in another date she would've worked on finding a time where you could've met again. When she says she will tell you when she's free, that means she would rather you not pester her for another and is likely planning to ghost you. If she message you again on her own then do what you can, but it seems like you just didn't click on her side. Thats ok, though. You actually went on a date, and now you can learn from some of …

So, many people trying to act like she committed some kind of disqualifying act. She isn't thinking about it nearly as deeply as a lot of the guys here. If that was the only thing that you have an issue with and everything else she's doing makes it seem like she's into you then act like she's into you. Thats exactly what the numbers are supposed to get you passed. You should have enough approaches that you stop putting women on a pedestal and start behaving like its normal to interact with members of the opposite sex and how to understand how to escalate in a more natural way. Picking "high value targets" means your already putting their value higher than it needs to be. I think about it this way. You should go after girls that interest you. Hotness can pique your interest, but you can also quickly find out they're crazy, but sometime you meet a girl thats more normal, but is a huge flirt and can hold up her end of the conversation and between the 2 the latter girl is going to be far more fun in bed and in general. Occasionally you meet a hot girl thats also interesting, and there you hit the jackpot, but honestly it pretty rare. So, basically don't worry about …

I think it would be better to say that women like to feel safe, and there's alot of subconscious feelings of safety to being with a guy who's physically bigger than them. If they're submissive then they often like to have someone that can physically move them. Just a couple of better ways of stating the point you were getting to, with out someone with no context thinking that its condescending.

Improving your circumstances is probably the baseline of improvement for seduction. Any improvement in your circumstances has the side effect of effecting you confidence as well, so not only does it make your life better personally it also moves the gears forward on most of the aspects that are key to seduction that aren't the actual experience of approaches and escalation.

That last line is why most of us are here. No one teaches us how to flirt, so we do what we can, and a lot of times we're not obvious or we're just testing the waters and getting info to see if your available, and if you're not we move on. A lot of guys here are trying to find out how to approach women without being a creep but also being forward enough to be interesting, or interesting enough to be forward. Ok, first thing is that you need to take the wheel as far as seduction is concerned. If you sit and wait for it you will get what you have now. You need to reach out to the people you are attracted to, and then you need to learn how to escalate. A lot of guys have decent advice, so I will put something I haven't seen as a top level comment yet. Assuming that you know how to escalate, I would tell her to stop working you up if she doesn't want to get physical. You've been doing this for months, and that means you should be able to talk to her about why she doesn't want to get physical without feeling like your stepping out of bounds. If there is a genuine connection, then you should be able to talk to her about it and let her know that w…

Ok, your getting a bunch of people telling you to move on. I would just say that if you want to have a casual relationship while she figures her shit out, that should be fine. Have fun with her, and don't stress. You could consider an open relationship or a FWB scenario. That sucks. What others are saying about moving on is the right move, but that doesn't mean its the easy one. If she still wants to be friends, she'll reach out. Don't try to make it happen because it won't if she isnt on board and there's no way to get her on board because you are going to be outcome dependent in any interaction with her. That outcome dependency will make you less attractive by clouding your mind over every interaction. Remembering the good times you had together isn't a bad th…

That is true, but mostly It comes down to picking up on cues, if she is into what you are doing, and you can always ask "do you like this?" You don't want to be asking like your reading from a script or checking off a checklist. Saying "I want you" and getting some form of "I want you too" is a green light. Being patient sounds like a great idea, but its a great way for you to lose your opportunity to someone else. Ok, so I will try my best to give what could be applicable advice, but I will preface it with the phrase "don't ask a fish, how to catch a fish." Its a phrase we use often because usually the "fish" will talk about something they would want someone they are already interested in to do, rather than giving you strategies that work more generally. When you compare your level of success to someone else's you immediately start losing your inner game and you immediately start acting in ways that project neediness to everyone else. Envy is a game killer. Its one of the reason that we say that in order to be successful you have to not be outcome dependent. That is what is known as "working with highschool girls" and it can be pretty toxic. Not all highschool girls are toxic, but they are usually pretty mixed so you really don't see them sorting into girls that hate drama and girls that love drama until the mid 20's, when alot of the drama-free girls have been betrayed by the drama-lovers.

Well, the fact of the matter is that all men (except asexuals and a few I would describe as post-sexual) are after sex, but not all men are after a relationship. Its hard to find out before the fact if a man is after one just thing or both. I have to say this can really suck for highly sexual women, because they are often after sex as much as men are so on that front its mutually beneficial, but might hamper the training of one's senses on who's out for more than just sex. Unfortunately, I don't…

I would either shit or get off the pot. If you're not into her, it's not gonna matter what fantasies she can fulfill, you're going to leave her or you're going to be miserable. If she's giving it up because your leaving her, she's not doing it because she wants it, and thats not good for either of you. Don't let sex be bait or a weapon.

Alright, I would ask where she think the best sushi is and then call it a plan, be happy with it and don't over think it. If the texts are coming along naturally, then go with the flow. If they're not, then its ok to not text until later. Other than that, it sounds like your golden.

I wouldn't say it that way specifically, I would say focus on doing what you would want to do without her, and take her off the pedestal. Basically, give her time to text back, and only text when you have something meaningful to say. Also, maybe line up another date with actual plans. I feel like text game, at the point you are at, is only strong when combined with IRL game.

This is actually what the video breaks down at the end. Being a "nice guy" just gets you put off. The reason we talk about assholes in these terms, is because of the common saying "assholes get laid." The youtuber and most others here, are trying to use that as a teaching term, that confident people that aren't bending over backwards for women, actually see results. Your needs and her needs should be equal, but you have to represent your needs just as she has represent hers. Don't come from a pl…

Like a band-aid, just say you want to meet up and where you'd like to do so. Coffee is decent, but the better option is something you know she'd like doing. Anything is better than waiting for the perfect solution, so if you can't think of anything better in 15 minutes than just suggest coffee. Watching a movie, going to the park are also options, but choose one and go with it. If she suggests something else and it sounds like fun then go with that. Honestly, it really depends on who can read the situation well enough and act on it. If you're talking about an average girl that is single to the average guy that is single, then the girl is going to seduce the guy easier, cause he's probably already mostly willing and the girl has to do something disqualifying to fail, where as the guy as to demonstrate that he's worth the girls time and/or isn't going to be a problem. If either party is exceptional in either direction in attractiveness, self …

This is probably not a great place to ask this question. Generally, we steer people away from using dating apps, because its a great way to not be able to leverage anything other than your looks and having to stand tall in a dog pile of other dudes all vying for her attention. YMMV, but actually approaching in real life has a much better ROI. Personally, I would guess that its either horniness or boredom in equal measure.

So one of the things I would say is that when it comes to low self-esteem, what we are looking for is someone that feels free to enjoy themselves. It can be hard for me to have a connection when you look like your not sure what you should be doing and are maybe a little afraid. Now for my part, I would try to alleviate those fears, but while I'm a fairly empathic person, its not a perfect sense and it tends to cause me reflect the people I'm with. Yeah, thats a big problem that we don't really address here, but that been me for a few years as well, just replace weights with videogames. You basically gotta find a way to make a part of social life to be interacting with women, and if you say "maybe not today" enough it goes from being a phase to being your life. I think this is when you focus on approaches in your day game and motivation. I always said that I would rather have a motivation pill/drink instead of energy drink/caffeine pill.

And again that being outcome dependant and you are saying no for them without getting their input. If you had confidence, you wouldnt be down on your looks. If you go out and have a fun time with folks you will get laid, but even the most skilled/attractive folks dont go home with someone new every night. Yes, absolutely. You went out cause you wanted to have fun there and just enjoyed yourself, so you weren't there for the sole purpose of picking someone up. It meant if you weren't succeeding in getting laid you still enjoyed your time, thus you were able to keep going out and not constantly be in your head about whether or not you went home with someone. After rereading the post, I'm fairly sure we're both making assumptions there as nothing is explicitly stated either way. However, I do think a little of both is a good plan. I think part of what OP is saying is that doing pictures with more than just yourself is a good thing. If your worried about taking a pic with you and 1 or 2 of your friends, just relax and have fun. Put your arm around your friend and tell a joke, no matter how dumb, before you take a picture. Maybe have 1 selfie so they know for sure which one is you. However, if you get a no answer it means you can move to the next girl faster and you're not wasting your time thinking about it. Shallow guys think everyone is shallow. You can be physically ugly as sin and still get good looking women, even long term. If you get them to relax and have fun while you're around they wont mind the looks. If you cant do that then you'll fail at getting anything worthwhile even if you look like capt. america.

The first guy asked for her number, the second guy asked her to go with him. Douchebags make their intentions clear. Doesn't mean you have to be a douchebag to do the same.

One thing you really need to understand in this situation is that she really might say no. This is extremely important. Not to make you nervous, but to prepare you for it. I'm certainly not gonna tell you not to do it, but make sure that you know that and know that its ok if she doesnt want to be with you. I would recommend doing it in person cause you can talk about it afterwards to make sure everythings cool between you two if she says no. Other than that I would take u/AccomplishedDuty1 's ad…

It will do alot for your self conifdence, but it will be overtime and in a passive way. However, when you have your own money, understand what its like to deal with people on a professional basis, and dont have unemployment as a negative to look at yourself with, you'll end up several rungs up on the confidence ladder than where you started.

This isnt about them being gold diggers. they don't want to support you and themselves. They're looking for a bf not a dependant, and they really don't want to worry about your parents being home if they'd want to have sexy times. They want to find someone that they don't have to carry through life.

Step 1 Do the at least the bare minimum to have some semblance of self worth Step 2 Get girl Its like asking how to have a successful business with no capital or idea to start it with. You dont get gifted with a gf. You get your shit together then you get a gf. If your tired of feeling like this, then you will have to take the steps to make yourself into something attractive on some level. If you dont have Looks you can focus on Success, Confidence or Personality. Living at home without a job, f…

I think of flirting as literally any action involving multiple people who are attracted to each other. Basically, if your talking/hanging out with a girl and you feel the energy between you two, you're flirting. Hitting on is when its one sided, but is probably how you initiate and if she responds positively, then you're flirting. It really covers everything from initiation to escalation and more. It can be glances across the bar, a ticklefight at home or simply chatting over coffee. It also usu…

Ok, so it sounds like you need someone who's looking at what you need, not just going to call you a douche. It seems like you are trying to present your value through your appearance and your making value judgements based on what others are wearing. Your focus on appearance gives you a leg up on things like hygiene, while it pulls you away from the thing that makes girls really attracted which is that they want to be around someone who has fun. Inner game is really important and you should be fo…

Well, not Indian guys as much as Native American guys. There's not a huge Indian population here. There is a large lgbt community and its a fairly liberal town, so there is a bit of focus on equality in all forms.

I live in Missoula, MT and I'm pretty sure you'd get along here. Helena would even work. I cant really say too much about the rest, but I think its strange its very white up here that we end up being more curious when we see someone not white, but generally try to be respectful, even then. Its not that we dont have racists, it more that its generally unacceptable to whip out that racism in front of everyone.

I noticed that it seems no one has mentioned that polyamory is a viable option and it comes in various kinds, from open relationships to poly fidelity, which means that you keep yourself to a specific set of people and a bunch in between. I find its best to tell people about being polyamorous as soon as you know they might be a potential LTR, so they know what they are signing up for if they want to be with you. Certainly not everyone is down for that, but it is gaining increasing traction with …

First stop looking at what other guys have. It is theirs and you cant have it, there's no use crying over it. What you can do is keep improving yourself. You know your struggle and no one else really gives a shit about it, not anyone you want to attract anyway. They just want to hang around someone who's having a good time. I've seen some ugly, skinny motherfuckers get laid nightly. I've seen good looking guys fail all the time, because they feel like no one understands them and that the world s…

I'm just gonna have to let you know I have no I dea what the headline and your explanation have to do with each other. I'm here, because I'm looking for an LTR, but in the meantime if I'm gonna put what I have learned to use on girl I just like, and maybe one of those is the one i'll want to be with. I dont think it helps to have one-itis over an idea of the girl you want to be with, as she might not exist. I feel like this sub is helping me to maintain the interest of the girls I'm attracted to…

This is one of those places where you could probably beat yourself up over how things came about, or alternatively you could enjoy the fact that you had sex. I say this because sex is fun, and having a partner that can make you feel a great amount of excitement is awesome. On a lesser, but hopefully not terrible note, He liked you, but maybe not for anything long-term. Also, I'm not that guy so I don't know, but guys looking for one night stands are standard faire in bars, but they don't general…

Because I don't understnad why anyone in seddit can say "you're making generalizations of men" i figured I would give you a quote I love: All generaliztions are false, including this one. To me this means that while we can say that women love cats, it doesn't mean all women love cats, but that many do. In our community, we make many generalizations for both men and women, because if we're talking about picking up women we have to refer to the lower common denominator while also talking about bei…

I'm usually fairly calm myself. At parties I usually join in any conversations that are going and chime in when I have something to say. I build rapport with the girls around me this way. I just sit back and have some fun. I'll usually approach after this when someone looks bored and engage them with whatever flows out of my mouth, sometimes its witty sometimes boring, but whatever I do I engage her in conversation. Sometimes I don't approach as much as I start engaging the one I like individual…

one thing about weak attempts is that you have to begin somewhere, then you get to start getting more bold and more couragous approaches.

Maybe, I just thought of peacocking being anything you have that women will find interest or good to look at, which might also include good hygiene. Especially since guys don't have to do much more than not look like they don't care about themselves. After all its more about personality with us, than anything else.
/r/seduction05/02/13 01:40 AM

I'm not entirely sure that doesn't qualify in an oblique sense, maybe peacocking for a different crowd.

I do understand what your saying, but I've been around those who did these things while in highschool and those that did it after, and everyone wanted to be around them, with exception of those that preyed on the week, and when they were around they behaved themselves. These things describe the shell, that allows the person on the inside to show. These things do not tell you what their views on politics are, nor their perspective on films, music, etc.

It might be the way that it is similar to nuclear energy, if used one way it provides power and well being to millions of people, used in another way it leaves a desolate radioactive wasteland in its wake filled with broken souls. It more about the intentions behind the tools for they give you avenues into emotions. You have to be responsible with what your doing.
