Well I guess that's my point: is he being unreasonable? The fact that she put in any effort at all is fantastic, let alone that much. This is great advice, but every once in a while you get that level 5 clinger who you just can't shake. I think the biggest problem with this is that while it seems good, it still involves playing a set in which the women is being chased. My all-time favorite pickup line is "Hey I'm so-and-so. Tell me why you're interesting." This sets the woman up to chase YOU instead of the other way around, which is what your line is doing - setting them on a pedestal and telling them you're interested only in looks.
