The answers in this thread are hilarious. The black belt of cocksucking came from an internet meme and anyone who thinks it's a sign of being into BDSM has never been involved in BDSM. Jesus christ guys.

No it shouldn't. Maybe if you needed to hire someone to write a custom tailored one for specific assets, or business level protection, but if that's the case you can probably swing the cost. For your average person of average assets a good lawyer will basically have one already tailored to your specific state. Shouldn't cost more than a few hundred. Contracts like these are common and don't require much customization except in extreme circumstances.

Some random advice. If you decide to dip and get an engagement ring, get a non-traditional stone. Diamonds are artificially inflated but things like rubies and emeralds are not. You'll be able to recover a greater amount of your initial investment if things go south. With a diamond you'll be lucky to get half of the initial cost. Not that I'm recommending you buy one though, but some inevitably will anyway. Be like Homer and propose with an onion ring. If she won't marry you without a real ring,…

Depends entirely on the state and how well written it is. Do your research in advance and get a good lawyer to draw it up. Also prenups cannot touch child support so if you have kids you'll be paying something even with the most solid prenup in the world.

This shows a fundamental problem the left has right now. You can't change someone's opinion by suppressing or shaming them. It also continues to show how people vastly overestimate how reddit and other social media reflect reality. Yes I'm sure our little community of just under 174k subs had a major impact on things /s. Social media is largely made up of the younger generation who overwhelmingly voted for Hillary.

Yes. Don't pigeon hole it to barber shops either. Plenty of seemingly female oriented salons do excellent men's cuts. They don't usually advertise them as strongly because they're less common but most I've talked to love doing men's cuts. They're easier and men tend to be less picky and tip better.

Same shit. All those chain places base their business model on quantity of customers, not quality of the cuts. My ex was a cosmetologist and lots of her friends went to work for places like those. Basically the ones who ended up at chain places like that were the bottom of the barrel. An occasional good one for some other circumstance, but mostly the "not good enough to cut it elsewhere" group. The hiring requirements are have your license, be fast and just good enough that people (mostly oblivi…

Don't go to Supercuts or Greatclips either. They work on speed, not quality. Doesn't mean you have to pay out the ass, but it helps. Find someone who actually gives a shit about doing a good job. Yelp around for barbers and salons, they're everywhere.

no vacations, dinners, events or other things attended together with the kids. You are no longer a family. You are a single parent, and she is a single parent, and you parent separately, not as a family. Good stuff but I kind of disagree with this one for a few reasons. For one it can be healthy for your kid to "get along" and see you be functional human beings together. For two it's an economics thing. It may be more economical to do certain things together. Lastly there's not wanting to miss o…

I used to be like that. But it was a lie I told myself. I finally found myself and started being able to get with women, both emotionally and sexually and I realized what a big fat lie it was to tell myself it was OK before. I can't imagine going back to it.

Golf is a good one. Almost exclusively male despite women being allowed and encouraged. If you sign up single you usually get paired with 2-3 other guys that you spend the next 3 hours with with nothing to do but enjoy nature and slice your ball into the woods. Sometimes it's awkward or the people can be assholes (especially if you're bad) but you basically meet 3 new people every time out. As long as you're outgoing it's a great way to meet people.

The series is a money printer responding to female hegemony in popular culture, nothing more. Disney knew EXACTLY what they were doing with Rey. Nothing about her Mary Sue-ness is an accident or even "bad writing". The irony is the blatant appeal to marketing is praised as groundbreaking and progressive.

Red Pill advocates control of yourself. Controlling women is for betas because their frame sucks. Their SMV is low enough so that she doesn't respect them, and they have to resort to initiating violence against them to get their way. This, I think, is an underrated point and a big reason TRP gets such hate in the general populace. They think TRP is about manipulating and controlling women into sex but it's really not. They thinks the DENNIS method from It's Always Sunny is RP theory.
/r/TheRedPill16/12/15 04:45 AM
14

The number one thing I gather from reading about RP in a non-RP sub is how little other people actually understand TRP. They just knee-jerk hate because it's the cool thing to do on reddit. It's like a checklist item to be one of the progressive cool kids.

Self reported data of almost any kind, but especially related to sex, is notoriously inaccurate. It's a widely studied and accepted fact in academia. Surveys for sex don't mean squat. I also didn't say it was an overestimate, just most likely not accurate.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/15 07:12 AM

It all refers to polling and surveys, which when it comes to sex are notoriously inaccurate. I'd take it with a big grain of salt.

Just got done reading it too. Boy what a doozy. Just more evidence of why you don't talk RP outside of RP. It's not that it's wrong it's that a vast majority of people have no understanding of RP. And since the thought train that permeates most of reddit is that "RP is bad" most people have no motivation to learn the truth either (anyone correcting anyone, even if done completely inoffensively in that thread is downvoted at least -10). Oh well.
/r/TheRedPill19/10/15 10:43 PM

It won't work with most girls. I always enjoy the BP women who claim "RP would NEVER work on me!" then maybe recount some prior experience of a douchbag who is clearly not RP but failed to pick them up as proof. If you properly apply RP most women, even with an good knowledge of RP, will have no idea.

Maybe I'm not seeing what you're saying, but nothing you said is at odds with what I said. I'm not really debating whether giving up ICANN was good or not, just opposing the parents claim that the UN has any control over it, which it doesn't.
/r/TheRedPill26/09/15 11:37 PM
3

Ya I don't think you know what you're talking about. First of all the UN has no unilateral legislative power. Period. That's not how it works. Second of all I assume you're talking about the ICANN transition in which case you're wrong on two fronts. First, what ICANN does has nothing to with what this report entails. Second a sub-branch of the UN (UNESCO) is the only UN involvement in ICANN and they act as an adviser to a committee that has no actual power.

Sorry, what? There's so much bro science and advertisements online these days how can you possibly say asking for some source material is ad hominem? You're taking the idea of asking for source and walking down a path of verifiability no one was walking down exception you. Sure people should do their own research and sure there's lots of contention and opposing viewpoints in science, but asking someone to source their claims is entirely reasonable. And personal experiences, even if verifiable, a…

Although it's frustrating to see funds and effort wasted on such obvious bullshit, this is correct. The UN has almost no influence when it comes to this kind of thing. The US has pretty staunchly avoided any sort of internet censorship. I've found a great majority of reddit don't actually know a single thing about TRP. They hate it not because they disagree with the ideas but because it's vogue or they saw one or two quotable posts somewhere or simply name value. You actually see RP ideas all over reddit, more than a lot of mainstream media bullshit, but when the name, or words associated with it, are attached to the exact same idea, the pitchforks come out. The same idea goes a lot further in mainstream reddit when you don't m…

BDSM can be a lot more than being just about being "dominant" in the bedroom and it's really pretty much how far you both want to take it and what you're in to. A lot of people involved in "light" BDSM these days though would be normal relationships not long ago though. If you just want to get rough a bit then there's not really much to say, just be a man. Think of it this way, what benefit would you gain by arguing with them? You're not going to convince anyone, you'll probably make your girlfriend mad for causing issues (whether you're right or not), and you'll just make the whole thing miserable. The only thing you gain is some smug self-satisfaction that will be damped by everyone being pissed at you. If it gets bad just excuse yourself to have a smoke or get a drink or something. I like PPD too. It really helps me think critically about my own ideas and helps me solidify them. I don't just brush it off when a BP/PP says something, sometimes it really makes me go "huh" and better refine what I believe.

RP is an ideology and it suffers many of the same weakness any ideology suffers from like group think, fanatical adherents and shouting down any dissent as invaders. I love RP but you're absolutely 100% right and it always saddens me when I see it.
/r/TheRedPill26/07/15 12:45 AM

Because most of them were like you and don't actually have any idea what RP is. RP talks about things unfiltered, which turns in to some pretty nasty quotables that people love to bandy around out of context, thus "proving" RP is a hate group without ever actually reading a thing about it themselves. Edit: spelling

There was actually a pretty decent population of RP talk in that thread. All contentious of course but more than you might expect from a mainstream sub. Thing is, a lot of the hate RP gets in other subs is completely based on name value. Same comment goes a lot further if you leave out the name.

Yes there's a lot of kneejerk reactions here (rightly so) but if you read a little deeper, it seems this place is pretty safe. Any post he expands on the broad ideas makes it pretty clear TRP will be allowed to continue its existence. Worst case it sounds like is we get quarantined from search.

It's very difficult to really stand out in such an environment which is also often the point in the business world. Number one thing I'd say is fit. So many people in the business casual world just wear things that don't fit. Trash bag shirts are the biggest offender. Unless you have a surprisingly average torso, take your shirts to a tailor (preferably a men's tailor, not the old Chinese lady down the street). Pants you have a bit more flexibility with but they should also be tailored. Good sho…

That's nothing but confirmation bias (though admittedly OPs examples are the same bias). Both sets of examples happen but really neither actually says anything about the overall trend. However, how anyone can deny the overall trend is towards younger women is absolutely baffling to me. It strikes me an absolute denial of reality when someone tries to claim that men don't generally prefer younger women.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/15 02:44 AM

It's less commonly talked about since LTRs aren't generally advocated, but there is RP theory on maintaining LTR if you poke around. Short answer yes it can be helpful but needs to be applied delicately. Best advice, kick out the idea that beta = bad. It doesn't necessarily. Good LTR is a balance of alpha and beta. The alpha side means you're still interesting and appealing (or if you prefer, appealing to other women still, thus the advice to still talk to other women, though actually going on d…

Gay people are already a small proportion of the population. They'll probably get married at a lower rate than straight people for a number of reasons and even fewer will have the consequence of custody to deal with. I fail to see how such a small segment of the population will significantly change how the court considers most divorce cases. It doesn't undermine any of the basic reasons women tend to be favored. I mean, I hope you're right that the legal system does see a shift towards more fair…

I'll admit RP has it's share of traditionalists and conspiritards but I think you're making a bad generalization. I suspect (although I can't speak for everyone) that the general feeling is indifference. TRP is about the traditional sexual market from which gay people are largely separate so their impact is mostly irrelevant. Not to mention it's a legal distinction, not a dating market one. In my opinion I'm happy for them. On to your other point, I disagree with the impact on divorce law. I can…

In that case I'd get your parents involved and try to get her help (don't do it yourself). Mental health isn't really a big topic around here but people in my life have personally had great success with BPD treatments.

She's an ass to you because you're being a super beta to her. You don't cure a woman by being nice which is ironic considering what she's accusing you of. I'll also point out some of that stuff sounds like mental illness. Her reaction to you expressing your displeasure with her bf stealing food sounds like a classic BPD reaction.

Because it's done in a semi-humorous context. It's not taboo to say women remember their old flings. You're looking at it from a RP lens, but from a normal persons perspective it's just a minor source of drama to move the story in the beginning and something mildly funny at the end.

Well written. I absolutely agree and think it's generally a weakness of RP to blame everything on feminism. Feminism is of course not without its problems but it tends to get treated like a boogieman to blame for everything that ails modern men. Many beta/omega behaviors that we see today are simply the result of being human or from societal changes in general that have little to nothing to do with feminism. It's not like everyone was an alpha RP male before feminism appeared. RP (to me) is abou…

I think it's very amusing that these people think that we are somehow so enlightened as to be immune to instinct. That's what really gets me about these types. They're arrogant enough to think that they're better than 99.999% of human history before them when they are, ironically, worse. I also love the inexplicable belief these people hold that even if masculinity and femininity were dated concepts that masculinity is automatically the worse one because... of reasons I guess.

My reading of your points makes it clear to me you only have a cursory knowledge of RP, probably from some sensationalist headlines about how all RP is is about tricking women into one night stands. I'll pick out one point because I don't really have the time to write a full novel of counter points. RP really only discusses partner count in the broader aspect of understanding women and as a trend of how society has/is changed/changing. A particular women's count only matters if you're thinking a…

Being emotional doesn't make you appear weak. Not being in control of your emotions does. RP is concerned with maintaining frame and losing your emotional cool loses your frame. It doesn't mean you can't express emotion, but doing so in the wrong contexts makes you appear weak.

So there's two statements. Initially I said "women prefer older men" to which you countered "women prefer men closer to their own age". Let's say, just for simplicity, that number is 5. When you say that in counter to my statement, it makes me think "women prefer men between 5 years younger and 5 years older than themselves". None of that is terribly surprising. The preference towards older men is likely a survivalist thing. Older men are more likely to have their shit in order. Anyway that specific study subsections out a particular subset of women (educated, upwardly mobile) and even still the trend, while diminished, is still present. It's still an interesting thought though, if we were all able to be educated and upwardly mobile, where would trend lay. And I don't mean significantly older either, although it's st…

This is the correct answer. OPs argument is taking two different pieces of different arguments and blending them together. To be honest the only one of those points that super irritates me is 6 because it's historically dishonest. It's shoe-horning minor accomplishments to deny history. Rather than discuss the historical context of why men are at the forefront more than women, they just deny it and try to paint it as equal since there's been history. I got in to it through PUA. Some years ago when PUA was really becoming a "thing" it really appealed to me, because, like many, I sucked with women. I thought a lot in PUA was dumb but it did help me. It made me more confident and better with women. PUA eventually evolved into RP which I found to be much more palatable. You're not factually wrong but you're missing the key point. Men may decrease in fitness for children but they decrease slower than women. A man can have children until he dies. A woman is literally incapable of it after menopause. Older women who are still fertile also produce children with more health issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/15 06:34 PM

A fair criticism. It's not like I've done a comprehensive case law study on alimony but there's plenty of anecdotes out there if you look. Divorce court is not friendly to men. To be honest though, it's more of a MRA thing than a RP thing so I'm not going to sit here and strongly argue the point.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/15 03:58 PM

I'd say the opposite actually. I think if RP still had the perks of traditional marriage they'd be happy enough with the responsibility. The issue isn't that RP thinks they deserve the best of both, it's that women think they deserve the best of both. And the reason RP gets mad is because women actually do have the best of both.

We hate alimony because it still exists in the same world where women are expected to work, and we're told be equal to men, in the workplace. Both existing is "women are equal, but still special flowers". Alimony is fine in a world where a woman would traditionally have no other option but we're told that women can take care of themselves now. So which is it? Also don't assume all RPers are traditionalists that want to remove women from the workplace. I like that my wife works and I like many of…

The OKC study isn't anecdotal, your statement at the beginning is. I'm also not putting down marriage. I'm happily married in fact. Anyway OKC is interesting but not scientific rigor. Here's survey data from the Census Bureau. I know it's wikipedia but the data originates from a legitimate source. It CLEARLY shows the data is slanted towards the male side. Of course the 20+ year gap is small on either side but frankly we settled on the 20 year number arbitrarily. 32.3% of marriages the man is at…

First of all, anecdotes prove nothing. What you've seen is completely irrelevant. I also never said MOST women date 20 years up. I said it was more common than the other way around. Men do decrease in SMV but more gradually. And if you want to refer to that OKC data, never mind the scientific issues with it, it supports my argument much better than yours. It clearly shows women's preferences are roughly their own age while men's preferences stay the same. It shows men prefer to date down in age,…

SMV doesn't really have anything to do with long term health. It's about attractiveness and fitness for having children. Men are fit to have children a lot longer than women are.

Men do decrease in value over time but they devalue SIGNIFICANTLY slower than women. The concept of the wall doesn't apply to men not because men stay the same SMV but because the impact to a man is lesser. Your statement of "There is no evolutionary reason for women to be attracted to much older men." is wrong. You do see lots of younger women with older men. Huge age gaps are not as common as small age gaps but a vastly greater majority of relationships the man is the older one. You're much mo…

Women already have almost completely consequence free sex thanks to modern birth control. Slut shaming may still be a thing but it's nowhere near what it was in the past. Really though, I think women were always promiscuous, they were just less open about it. We're humans, it's in our wiring to fuck and fuck a lot, both men and women.

They don't have to be direct competitors to make the ad effective. It's trying to make fatties feel good about themselves by taking a stab at what most people would actually consider sexy.

Women are the selectors, men are the selected. Women will always have the advantage in the sexual market place. However your post expands a bit by asking about a satisfying sex life which is different than having advantages in the sexual market overall. Quantity does not necessarily equate to satisfaction and the definition of satisfaction differs between genders and individuals so that's a much harder question to answer.

It's not that I think particularly highly or lowly of either gender. People are just victims of their sexual drive is all.

Most men are trying to manipulate you into sex, RP or not. RP is just better at it, and usually more honest about it too.

You answered that question in your own OP when you said all people are not the same. Nothing is one size fits all and just because something is possible doesn't mean it's ideal. Plenty of people out there, including in this thread, have said they were miserable BP.

Men have more variety while women are (comparatively) more steady/predictable.

TRP does claim that women are disloyal and men are loyal TRP doesn't claim men are loyal. The more common claim is that men are more loyal for which there is some empirical support (I don't necessarily agree). And women are disloyal by nature, but so are men. Considering TRP is often told from the male perspective it's hardly surprising that the female end of it is the more commonly discussed topic.

In addition to what other people are saying I'll add that there is probably some natural level of frustration among male humans as it relates to women. Failure in any group or activity is met with frustration but thanks to the Internet a group that would have largely ignored previously has a much stronger voice. As long as men have been the pursuers there have been men frustrated with women. It would probably be impossible to determine but I'd love to know how the average male frustration as rel…

I'm not disputing anything you say in particular but the issue isn't the idea black women are NOT desirable. It's that they're LESS desirable. And your personal anecdotes don't really say anything about the latter. I actually married a black woman. Being honest though I'd have never considered it before I met her. Love is funny like that.

A lot of it is just venting I think. If you actually understand RP theory then women having a physical desirability advantage shouldn't bother you. It just is, and women being the desired is one of the core tenants of RP. Men chase, women are the chased.

Calling something good because it's trendy is foolish. Calling something good because it's economically feasible is also foolish. Calling it the preferred ideology of smart and successful people in no way means it's good. That doesn't mean feminists are hijacking such things but your argument to the counter is short-sighted.

I don't think you're likely to get a good answer. I think most people don't even really know they're doing it. Or if they do they don't see it as supporting bad behavior but they twist the logic of what happened so it's not "bad behavior" anymore in their minds.

This is one BP idea I will never remotely understand. Why is the idea that men sexually value youth and beauty so mysterious? The proof of it is literally everywhere in society across pretty much every human culture. I can at least understand where most arguments on either side come from but this one is just baffling to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/15 06:42 PM

Fair enough. Ultimately the concept of it is difficult to prove since it's just an idea. It exists in the minds of 0-2 people involved so it may or may not exist in each given context. It's kind of a cop out answer but your view on how to deal with it is already right up the RP alley.

I'm actually confused about if you're taking a BP stance trying to understand how RP views friendzone or visa versa because the way you phrased it sounds incredibly RP but your question is phrased like BP.

AWALT comes from the fact a common crutch people use is "well THIS girl is different" when in fact it's the same story told time and time again. I don't take AWALT to be extreme literal every person on the planet with a vagina thinks the same way but more a lesson to not delude yourself that you found a special snowflake that bucks the trend. I don't really believe AWALT personally so I don't care if you particularly disagree, just sharing a less literal perspective. I don't think gender fluidit…

Women and men behave fairly predictably according to sexual market, and that behavior (by either gender) is not often pretty or easy to discuss.

Your observation doesn't actually have anything to do with feminism. It's a pretty well known psychological fact you can influence people's reaction and opinions based on the context of what you say even if your statements would be logically equivalent, and this applies to virtually any topic. People are very vulnerable to the context something is placed in, especially if the context reinforces their existing views.

I agree with this. I think it's a pretty valid criticism against TRP. Philosophically TRP is about how both men and women respond to the sexual market but many posts here forget part of that and some of the posts become pretty hateful.

It's rather rare but does happen. Basically the courts consider the child's welfare above all else which may mean you're on the hook in some cases. It's more likely to happen when an older kid the man has already taken care of for years is found to be illegitimate rather than a new pregnancy, but still, the courts are hardly fair in this regard when it comes to paternal rights.

Not much different. People vastly overestimate the power the president has. For all the problems the US government has, the balance of powers is a pretty nice thing. Clinton being elected would be part of the broader social shift rather than anything in particular she would do (or be able to do).
/r/TheRedPill08/03/15 07:42 PM

Think of it like training a dog. Start small and add little routines she has to adhere to. Most common kind of thing would be having her call you by some title. Sir, Master, Daddy, whatever gets your rocks off. Punish her when she doesn't adhere (nothing extreme unless it's really egregious, you wouldn't beat your dog because he doesn't sit the first time) and reward her when she does it well. Teach her to do things like always walk behind you, or serve you drinks, or only wear certain things yo…
