Long game strategy. I let that bs DV shit go--was like a time out, it expires after a yearor so if you just plead nothing. Didn't affect custody where I was as no findings of DV. I'm 2.5 years in and my divorce is done it all went 50/50 but that front part your in was hellish. Document all you have for valuables. Those should be split or you each get half. Document expenses. Split your pay into a new acct. Don't change insurance or any stuff like that. Nor life ins stuff. It'll look bad. Get wha…

Man I agree. But until it’s fixed. Play the cards. I’m 2.5 yrs into divorce-she’s appealing the alimony payments to me (she breadwinner like the OP) ! I’ve spent well into 6 figures of my money. Shit sucks but end of day I got my son 50/50 and my own place and life’s good. Can always make more money. Perhaps I’ll be able to say I’m 2-0 vs an attorney. Divorce rulings and appeal. PS my ex was an attorney so u know I’m thinking vanity plates on my truck Alimoney. Fuck them. Feed them. Don’t ever m…

Document your monthly spending and then when or if it goes to lawyers/trial you can show the abnormality and so forth. She shouldn’t be entitled to your half. Keep good records of the dollars does t matter what or where the shit goes. As long as you can attribute the funds she spent and show how burning it down it’ll go as debt on her column. Like month over month then wen you make a budget it should be clear she was just spending

I am you. You are me. Late 30s here. Go date/bang some chicks or whatever but you don’t need to start a family or get married ever again. You need to focus on what makes you happy and do anything and everything you want. Think about your hobbies and schedule and if a chick aligns then so be it but you def do not need to go seek companionship. Let that come to you and be like the addition to you doing what you want and love. Maybe it’s someone from your friend group or a friend of a friend but it…

Sole physical custody? Ask ur lawyer, make a schedule like guy below says go for 50/50 time. My ex has “custody” so healthcare/education/religion choices but I get the kid 50/50. Essentially she’s a secretary for us planning school and appointments and I just enjoy my time w them. Your lawyer should know how it’s going to play out or best or worst case then try to get as much as you can.

Yeah f that. Ru a door mat? Look in the mirror. Be there for the kid when it’s your time. When it’s hers ; tough shit. And stop giving her anything extra. Like why would you even consider let alone do these things

I am defending. Burning money to not take some wack settlement number they tried to get me to cave with because she’s mad she has to pay alimony. She could have been amicable and then I wouldn’t be such a fucker over this but since she went full nazi. I’m going to fight her. Try to make her eat the fees for bringing appeal and get ruling upheld Karma is a bitch. FAFO. Plus how many times is the shoe on the opposite foot where this is the man v woman flipped.

I'm sorry you need to heal. Fuck her and whatever she does now you need to focus on you and what makes you happy. It's going to belong dark days ahead but you gotta love you first and foremost. Then the kids. They are your legacy. 47. You could live to be 90+. Ur like halfway thru life at most. Make the second half better than the first. One day at a time.

There’s a lot more petty shit like not allowing me to move my shit and I having to have my family from out of state do it etc. I enjoy being stone cold dealing with her and only have to because of my son thru some bullshit app. His success matters and that’s all.

I had this happen…lost my guns and my home and my child overnight. One duffel bag of clothes…Hunting is a hobby and she went for what I enjoy most. Hunting and my son. She tried the let’s go to counseling only to tell me she can’t do it so I served here right during the session- I walked out. Called lawyer from parking lot and said email it over to her attny. (I had it prepared for the OFP trial). I Didn’t fight it. I punched back by filing for divorce. (She’s claimed that was rude or some other…

I have one of these. I didn’t fight the ofp. It’s an ofp that’s sealed and no admission. Ex parte with out findings. Aka she cried wolf. I said meh. Judge rules it stands and that’s that. Let her enjoy the two years no contact. Went out on my own. Figured it out. I served the divorce papers. Fighting my x like hell for my son. I enjoy the quiet from no contact but it makes the divorce expensive. We are in for probs 60k and haven’t had a pretrial call yet. Just got custody eval done. Some days su…

Bs order for protection. Said drop it or I’m filing. She wanted to separate for 6 months. I filed in response during a marriage counseling session. The words were “ isn’t this marriage counseling or couples therapy? She doesn’t want either so I’m done here” walked out. Emailed lawyer from truck in parking lot and she got served while still in the session.

I 38m stbx 35. Married 10 yrs known each other 18. One 3 yo kid. I’m pushing for trial as she wants more mediation. The first offers were a joke. She earns 2.5 times what I do. She wants the house and is pushing on me for my living situation since split. I haven’t spent much on living but have adequate bed and so forth for son. Shes trying to call my shots and also keep tabs on me when I do get time w my son. Ie where we go who we visit etc. she wouldn’t let me take kid to see grandparents cause…
