How is "maturity" being some socially awkward sperg? He's smart, that's great. He needs to learn how to get along with others. Nobody likes an asshole.

If you're not giving a man sex, you're going to have to give him something else he wants. Men who aren't interested in sex but who still want to deal with women for some ungodly reason? Family. Making a family. Be wife material. What this entails depends on what kind of man you're going to try to fish for. Or be a sugar momma. And you don't have an extreme sex drive. If you don't want to have lots of sex, you don't have an extreme sex drive. Don't be stupid.

Do you read fiction? Not too often. Do you download stuff from project Gutenberg or librivox? Yes. What pill are you? Flair. Where do you stand on feminism? Libfem is dumb because women are fundamentally not the same. I disagree with radfem but they're on firmer ground. Mostly news and reddit/other social media? No, mostly non-fiction. Lots of ideas. Interesting ideas make for good cocktail fodder. The relative lack of reading here shocks and appalls me, but I imagine that much of that is simply…

If you're only satisfied by 10s who love you, you will most likely die alone. Even most trophy wives aren't supermodel hot, and a common definition of 10 is a 9 that fits your exact preferences.

feminism and women workforce increasing selective pressure on men to accelerate adaptation to technological environment This would be great if alpha corresponded well to the kind of person well-adapted to modern technological civilizations, but... it doesn't. Those people are betas. A wild and rugged man is great for murdering sabertooth tigers with his bare hands, not so good at sitting still in an office moving papers from the inbox to the outbox.

http://maristpoll.marist.edu/531-should-prostitution-be-legalized/ 49% think prostitution should be legal while 44% disagree. One, there is friction in the political process. Two, the strong preference of a minority can easily override weak preferences held by a majority. 62% of Americans think weed should be legal, but it's still federally illegal.

There is a difference between a woman selling herself to a wealthy husband or sugar daddy and her parents doing it. This is also why most people abhor sex slavery but opinions about prostitution in general are mixed.

I don't know. Trp makes sense to me, but I don't like the whole sexist element. Maybe it's the idealist in me, but I like the idea of true love and cute relationships, not being manipulative. Idealism is poison that will make you poor, miserable, and lonely. Only by letting go of your toxic desires can you actually achieve them and be content. Good luck.

In all honesty, it's not some magical property of wealth. In the days before the Sexual Revolution, divorce rates did not vary strongly by class. How do you stave off divorce? Some reasons are palatable, some are less so. One is to have a strong sense of duty to family and the dynastic imperative. "Family values". Pleasant enough, though anti-individualist. Pragmatic marriage over romantic marriage. Getting spookier. Punishing defectors. Imposing massive punitive divorce settlements on both part…

Be rich, don't be poor. Got a college degree? Great, your divorce risk is now only 30%, roughly. Be a rich UMC professional? Even better, you've halved your risk again. Eh? Why shouldn't a woman come out net positive? Dating is a cost, but dating is for betas like myself anyways. When you get to the move in, it's all gravy and economies of scale. Previously: You pay $1.5k for housing, she pays $1.5k for housing $300/$300 for food Combine that into one $1500 housing and one $450 food bill (more efficient food use) Instead of 2 individual health plans, you have 1 plan and an add on. This would be a neat claim if proles married. Even the ones that manage it get divorced. The family unit is dissolved in the prole world and all it did was make a bunch of violent proles without the natural support networks of kin. You know what ends the perpetuation of elite power? Decpitating them all. Of course, then you'd be Haiti. And Haiti, two hundred years down the line, remains... Haiti.

Blue collar does not equate fit. There are plenty of fat construction workers. And most professionals are fit, but they're not fit BECAUSE of their job. Someone who works out and has an active job should be more fit than someone who sits in a cube and works out. Blue collar will never carry the same social weight as an accountant, lawyer, doctor or CEO and will most likely be looked down upon as an uneducated disposable nobody. Is this even true? Among the majority of people, the man cannot outprivision Uncle Sam. Among the majority of people, marriage has collapsed. If so, are women Who Are Like That[tm] even the kinds of women that men should want? These women, after all, only care about what a man can provide her and will never really love him. There's a higher risk of cuckolding and paternity fraud with that group. AWALT. If you want women to want you for you, be a sexy man. But women aren't divided into unicorns w…

You know, if the only charge is that he was too rough one time at a party, then maybe it did happen but everyone would be guilty. But even if you aren't doing so, that charge is part of a larger effort to portray Kavanaugh as a gang rapist. And is he a gang rapist? That's the hell Lindsay Graham is talking about, the idea that any man can be accused and suddenly have the world pointing fingers and thinking you're a rapist.

A gold digger never loved the rich guy. They married simply for the money and always despised him. That's a real difference and gold digger was not the most apt phrasing. Melania Trump fucked Donald Trump and there exists evidence of it in the form of Barron. Is she less of a gold digger than normal women who DB their husbands then?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/18 05:51 PM

I admit to being wrong in using the gold digger term. But I maintain there is a shaming against women who marry transactionally and not for attraction. Attraction is now the foundation for "good" relationshios, not pragmatic reasoning. And any marriage which lacks attrqction is held to be not up to snuff.

To me it means she married for his money and isn’t actually attracted to him or in love. Right. There is a privileging of the ability to generate attraction. That's exactly what I'm saying. A gold digger is someone who despises the person they are married to, but does so anyways for the lavish lifestyle. Melina Trump is a gold digger that doesn't even try and hide her disgust in Trump. So what about women who roll their eyes at their husbands and dead bedroom them while forcing them through choreplay? Does that fall under gold digging?

I didn't call entrepreneurship loyalty. Entrepreneurs are often honored despite their behavior being perhaps individually irrational. Similarly, this kind of male behavior is honored even if it is individually irrational. Are men stupid for engaging in behaviors that are honored? When I buy the extra fancy SWPL salt to place in my cabinet, am I being stupid?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/18 05:16 AM

The behaviors look pretty different to me. They shouldn't be lumped together under one name. If "loyalty" is too charged a name, then words could be invented for the behaviors. Male loyalty could be called "grimpfs" and female loyalty could be called "myrtox". It really doesn't matter. The words are just signifiers for two different kinds of actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/18 05:14 AM

If they stick through, they're loyal. You can have reservations about someone's behavior, even strong ones. Saying "My country, right or wrong", for instance, implies you think your country is actually wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/18 05:06 AM

That's because they're stupid. So? They're loyal. That's what loyalty is. I've already said I'm not loyal. Did any of the men who died for my great-great-grandfather, their oppressor, think it was a smart move? Probably not. But that's loyalty.

Whether you should pay down debt or not depends on the interest rates of the debt as compared to your current returns on investments as well as your current needs for liquidity. If you can beat the interest handily, then there's no good reason to pay things down. And if you need liquidity badly, you might accept some of it priced richly. If you need money now, then you'll just have to swallow high prices of money.

Loyalty that's conditional on good treatment isn't loyalty. We call those folks fair-weather friends. A loyal man must be ready to die for his master without any expectation of reward. This female loyalty sounds like they're about as loyal as modern employees are to their employer, and vice versa... not at all.

It's possible this cohort of men will underperform the ones that came previously when they enter their 30s, certainly.

Class is a pyramid. There are far, far, far less people in the class above you than there are people in the one you're currently in (with the exception of the lower class and middle class, where the lower class is only slightly bigger than the middle class). If women all expect to marry up in class, that's an insane expectation. A SES match isn't marrying down, it's just... a match.

In their 20s, yes, women do better.. At that age, both genders are still close to minimum wage, but women are slightly higher. I did say it took a couple years.

Nonsense. About equal numbers of men and women are born. Even the median man outperforms the median woman in income, though he takes a little while to get there. The women who can't accept that their SES match really is the factory worker, even if he has no degree, are both delusional and uppity. A potato degree from Chico State isn't an accomplishment. And it doesn't raise them above the proletarian masses. But hey, free debt!

Bullshit. Feminists are running some kind of doublethink game where men simultaneously hold all the power positions AND there are no men holding power positions to marry. In reality, the top few centiles of income are dominated by men. In reality, some of the most powerful women in the world, CEOs, have no trouble finding mates. Not only that, they are so family-minded that their TFR is 2.5, well above the American norm. And one of the most powerful women in the world, head of a major faction in…

They can't admit it's about the tingles, so they bullshit around. Men still outnumber women at the top, so this "can't find man" business is such a transparent load of bs.

Tattoos are prole culture. If she is a prole, then that's nothing out of the ordinary. If she comes from a middle class or higher background, it means she's rebelling against her societal norms, which can indicate sluttiness. But rebelling in one aspect does not mean rebellion in all aspects. I hang a Kinkade painting on all my wall, but I am still pretty conformist.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/18 12:30 PM

The point is not that men play the lottery more or less. The point is that the advantages of being a man accrue to a very few winners. Are most Fortune 500 CEOs men? Sure, but there are only 500 of those. Are there more men than women at universities deemed Most Selective? Yes, but there are very few of those schools. It's great to be Genghis Khan. It's terrible to be a foot soldier. The amount of men with the qualities necessary to be the former and not the latter are basically 0. Your odds are…

Men account for about 3/4ths of the arrests and offenders for crimes. You could limit the categories examined to a couple kinds of minor crime, sure. Then why shouldn't I limit what I examine to, say, exclusively murder, where men commit about 9/10ths of it?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/18 06:56 PM
1

Committing crime is a good thing? As for mediocrity... Mediocrity bias will turn out better for the vast majority of people. How many men become CEOs? Very, very few. A median woman these days does better than a median man, even if it is just being the best janitor on the shift.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/18 04:37 PM

Less violent. Women commit very little crime. Less ambition makes them generally less ruthless. A woman is a sack of mediocrity. Mediocrity is safe. Mediocrity most likely won't die in some new and exciting way.

Status is so important to women that there are reams of writing about the Beta Bux and how he is exploited as a walking piggy bank which generates little to no attraction. Growing up in a world where divorce was a nonentity and marriage universal makes it hard to accept anything else as real, and certainly not as moral.

This is not a useful distinction here. For someone to be "safe", you have to be reasonably sure they'll be around later and won't be poached by someone else. Both "cute" and "hot" are valued by other men. In fact, many characteristics that a person values are going to be valued by other people as well (not high maintenance, good personality, smart, etc). So there's going to be a lot of competition if you're aiming at approximately your level. Someone who's a safe option is therefore probably not…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/18 04:28 AM

Manchild is code for not serving the feminine imperative. People who are fat, sloppy, and unemployed get laid all the time, so long as they have the right attitude. What incentive is there for a normal man to not be a manchild, really? Even if they try, they will probably only make a very average income. It won't make women any more attracted to him, and may even hinder it, because then he becomes a good boy - hardly exciting. Common sense.

The regulatory behaviors supposed to be toxic have an important social role. First of all, toxic masculinity creates a duality and opposition which isn't there. We don't have toxic masculinity and healthy masculinity. We have a variety of expressions for the same underlying traits. Some expressions we term toxic and some healthy. But the root of both behaviors is often the same masculine impulse, and the behavior is either adaptive or maldaptive based on the environment and on the context. If we…

This also makes me think of certain posts on RPW and r/relationships, where people are making enormous concessions for people whom they've only been dating for a year or two. People shouldn't make enormous concessions for anyone. Full stop. Do you agree with what the speaker said? Do people treat relationships like marriages today? Yes, but in different ways. Do you think this has to do with the view of marriage as "just a piece of paper"? By extension, is this why people are so quick to divorce…

When I was younger and inexperienced (as many of the readers are), I thought that they always had the final say with their supposed rational “explanations” of female behavior and ideas of masculinity. . People these days have no sense of individuality or personal identity these days. They just blindly follow whatever they see or hear. People need to start thinking for themselves. Although that is partly the problem, the more significant problem is that people don’t know how to. Society in genera…

The reproduction differential flipped with the Industrial Revolution. In the high mortality environment of per-contemporary society, a high FTO strategy of provisioning maximized surviving adult offspring. People who adopted this strategy and implemented it successfully spread their genes. We will call these folks "betas". Beta reproductive success spread this strategy far and wide. However, when these selection pressures weakened, those who reproduced without thinking gained a reproductive adva…

A MRM that justifies itself by taking burdens away from men is a feminized movement that men should abhor. Men are made, not born. A man actualizes himself in BECOMING, in ACCOMPLISHMENTS. Therefore, it behooves a man to be challenged and for the world to weigh more heavily upon his shoulders. A man who fails has failed to be a man. What the MRM should be about is ensuring men are rewarded, not punished, for expressions of their nature. Those countries don't need a MRM because their parriarchal …

A marketplace firmly regulated by rules instated by the elites of society is what makes civilization. What nature "intends" is chaos, bloody and senseless. The top decile of women earners have actually seen their marriage rates increase, while all other deciles of income fell. Among women CEOs, 94% are married. It's being the muddled middle that seems to make marriages the least stable. In that career failure thread, men seemed to judge the woman who tried hard but still failed harshly, and…

I am a man. I am not advocating simply letting your emotions run loose. I am advocating expressing and exploring them in ways that allow a greater type of introspection. Most often that is by using words. I don't know you, so I can't say anything about your life, but I strongly believe that most men can and will benefit from this. Some men will benefit from this, and they are free to be vulnerable. I ask you to temper the strength of your belief and not force it on others. Don't tread on me.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/18 09:01 PM

It's a question of definition maybe, but I would categorize what I described as an expression of emotion in a healthy way. Which is different from just letting your emotions out. You turn your natural desires into a more socially acceptable form, and then you let it out in a socially appropriate situation. That is control. If you get violent when you're drinking - do you think this is a sign that you're handling your emotions correctly? I don't drink. From my perspective, you are encouraging me …

It's almost as if emotions are meant to be controlled.

Alright Ms. Analogy Police. Women lie about n-count because men don't like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/18 07:29 PM
1

A high mileage car can be perfectly mechanically sound, but buyers may still distrust it. There are enough men who believe n-count is damaging for this topic to keep coming up. Suppose buyers hate blue cars for purely irrational reasons. That may reflect more on the buyers than the cars, but it will still affect the sale value of a car to be blue.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/18 07:24 PM
1

Depreciation is a financial concept. You presumably mean wear and tear. A woman with a higher n-count is a higher divorce risk, lower the expected payoff of marriage. Accordingly, a man should offer less. A lot of value is tied up in feels anyways. Luxury car pricing runs off feels. If this affects the man's value assessment, it is understandable if he is upset.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/18 07:09 PM

Analogies are always between two different things, otherwise they would not be analogies. It would be the thing and itself. Both cars and women have histories. While the histories themselves may not be dealbreakers, dishonesty is. But just as salesmen are tempted to be dishonest, so are women.

Since the hunter/gatherer era of humanity the female sex has been subjugated and treated as a second class. Women aren't going to look at a woman with a bad man and go "at least she's married." There are multiple women here saying that the state of marriage itself matters. If they care about her, they'll tell her that "she deserves more" and that "she should leave." That's prole talk. And it's also not a good indicator that they care about her, because that advice often leads that woman down a bad and stupid road. If the status of being married actually mattered, things would look more like they used …
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/18 09:09 PM
1

In that example, marriage conferred status, but it was a net loss of happiness, so a rational actor wouldn't do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/18 08:55 PM
1

Suppose status gives .2 utils per status unit. A marriage to ANYONE gives you 2 status units. But being married to an omega costs 2 utils. Is it rational to marry? A McJob gives you 2 status units but costs 2 utils. Is it rational to get a job? Do these beat the 0 status 0 cost alterbatives of spinsterhood or NEETdom?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/18 08:29 PM

So even if a McJob grants some status, it isn't worth the effort and cost of being a McWorker. So even if a marriage grants some status, it isn't worth the effort and cost of marrying a low value man.

These claims assume that within every man is a weepy vaginaperson yearning to breathe free. But men have different emotional tendencies than women. My biggest emotions are angry, hungry, and horny. If I let my true emotions run loose, I would be a morbidly obese rapist. The idea that "it's okay to cry" presupposes that men want to cry as much as women, but only hold back because of toxic blahblahblah. They don't. There are biological differences. So there should be no female actresses? These women aren’t all “selling their bodies” btw. Not saying that at all. I'm tired of people bitching about their own decisions. It was always their choice. Harvey Weinstein demands male actors be talented to be cast, but females have to be talented AND give him 25K. Connections. Men usually use their connections. Some actors got lucky, but so do some actresses. Nothing stops women from building a network like men. But they also have another option. If I…

I also saw that sentiment expressed on 4chan, certainly no stronghold of feminist thought. Finn and Poe have more chemistry together. A) The elephant in the room for divorce risk is class. People do not like being told that their biggest problem is being a poorfag, even if true. B) Most people, even RPs, are not Chad. Why do men feel entitled to sex? Because sex serves as ego validation. It says to the man, "You, you are worthy! You possess merit!" I have never seen a single argument debunking, or even properly addressing, any of the core tenets of biological determinism, self-improvement failure in most people, the social advantages of the female sex, or the complete hatred of low status men. In fact, you can post a substantial article with dozens of cited articles, and the average normie cannot say anything more than "doesn't matter, just improve your personality." Suppose it is all biologically determined. What if I injected you with va…

Being beta is fucking easy. People will prefer easy things to hard things, because hard things take effort, and effort is gay. Maintaining the alpha mask takes constant effort. Being thin, for instance, makes women more attractive. But women let themselves turn into amorphous slime creatures all the time. I actually suspect the doctor-doctor population becomes the SAH population, because the SAH couples are older, the doctor-doctor pairings are younger, and the main reported cause of conflict for doctor-doctor couples is lack of time and the desire for one of the doctors to quit or scale back. EDIT: I can't prove it without longitudinal data though.

They could, but they shouldn't. Yes, the sex drive can be tamed. Men have done it. Some men do it even now. In the old model, men could abstain from sex, but they needed family. Not playing the masculine role of father was shaming. Now, men have to have sex or be shamed. Take away this drive, and only a few weirdo men will bother. Extinction. Why would the apex bully feel insecure or inferior? And in the second example, there is no inferiority on your part. You wanted something, so you took it. Easy as pie.

As a place to put my money, I'm skeptical. While I think it could work out, it's dependent on continued capture of local political elites to maintain high property values. I would rather be buying property where I can make money on the buy, money while holding, and money when I sell. I don't trust appreciation or high value properties. As a big, important exception, I think it's a good idea to get in on HCOL real estate if you can buy up a block or neighborhood and gentrify it, forcing out all t…

Both your statements are true depending on framing. 300ish is the top 1% individual income, while 466k is household, usually a family a little further on in life. Two high powered professionals, together, can reasonably get to 466k, or close to it.

hello yes I genius. Show bob and vagene. I consider society's intelligence fetish to be wankery. Intelligence is overrated. But society needs heroes and saints in the narrative it constructs, and today's age of scientism, that means the much lauded genius takes center stage. The hero of yesteryear was a man of piety and chivalry, which enabled him to be superhuman. Today, it is intellect which supposedly enables the superhuman, and this is just as much a lie, and arguably more pernicious, becaus…

If you're spending 200k on household expenditures, even in HCOL, you are living a very fucking opulent life. At that point, I would suggest scaling back on the USDA prime steaks. Anyways, the point I'm making is that then you've squeezed her fun money into oblivion. Even on a more common 60k/30k split, and 60k expenditures, a lot closer to a normal MC middle aged household, after she pays her share, she literally has no money left for her desires. What then?

Suppose the man takes home 350k and the woman 50k, and they have household expenditures of 100k plus savings of 200k. How will that work out? If you feel this is unrealistic, scale the numbers down proportionately.

If you're talking about exceptions, anyone can do anything at almost any age. You can peak at any time, too, because most people spend their life with their dick in their hands, staring at a wall. Testosterone peaks early 20s. Metabolism peaks early 20s. Aerobic capacity peaks at early 20s. With training, a fitness peak can be hit somewhat later, in their late 20s. But in your college years, you have a shitload of time to work out. Physical fitness can be a major priority in your life. In your a…

Your dating pool is smaller. Your physical attractiveness may be at its peak, but with care, it will decline only slightly through your 20s. Your career will advance fast. A man in his early 20s is a peon, even if he is a well-paid peon. A man in his thirties can be a middle manager or own a successful business. 20s: Physical 10/10 + Status 5/10 = 15/20 Late 20s - Early 30s: Physical 8/10 + Status 8/10 = 16/20 Late 30s - 40s: Physical 5/10 + Status 10/10 = 15/20

God. Submission lies in trusting in another to lead you with your best interests in mind. Love is a totalizing, sacrificial devotion to the good of another. To demand the submission of women without providing love in return is a perversion of the divine order. Just as woman submits to man, man submits to God. And just as man loves woman, God loves man. If a woman submits to a man, she must be able to expect protection in return, and the ultimate form of protection is often suicidal boldness in h…

Yes, Hillary appealed to a neoliberal/Third Way base of UMC voters (as well as some other groups). She was able to flip some Republican strongholds with that, the ones with heavy corporate bases and affluent voters, such as Cobb County in Georgia 6th (known for GE, Home Depot, Lockheed Martin, and a number of Coca-Cola employees), and my own home county, which had not gone Democrat in eighty years. The advantage in holding a support base like this doesn't come in the absolute number of voters yo…

I think I see where you're coming from now. When I talk about asserting someone being unreasonable, I mean the practice of proclaiming someone as unreasonable or illogical as a means to dismiss them without having to engage with their thoughts and ideas. It is an increasingly common, and very grating, practice in this day and age. I think it is unfair to say that Terps simply assert their beliefs as true - they have evidence, and evidence which is not just their emotions, however tenuous. Humans…

Then you must admit they are both logical and reasonable. The correctness of their premises may be in question, but if we demanded people to generally have correct premises in order to accord them the mantle of reasonability, no man would be reasonable, not even the smartest or most knowledgeable. If you feel their premises are inaccurate, then challenge them, because most are going to be inferred, not held to be axiomatic. To write them off as unreasonable is to betray contempt against your fel…

So what you're saying that the conclusions don't follow from the premises. You realize that a number of things remain reasonable despite not being deductively valid or logical, and these things we group under inductive reasoning, which dominates our lives. This is because we often cannot establish truths, only inferences which have not yet been falsified. Demanding everything be logical is unreasonable.

People vote based off identity, issues, ideology, and perception of candidate character. The goal of such attacks is not to dislodge those who have solid agreement on the first three things, but to affect those swing voters in the middle, who then proceed to either not vote or vote for the other guy. I am more than willing to vote for a monster on my team. Politicians are sketchy anyways. There's always some scandal.
