Hello all, i am boldly tagging my first post here as 'science' since i believe it follows the logical system cleanly, in a 'scientific' way. you can feel free to think of it more as a discussion or debate, or even CMV if you are so inclined.

To begin, the principle of marriage is traditionally based on the spiritual principle of binding the desire for sense gratification within the guidelines of ritual. That is to say, acknowledging our desire to satisfy our senses, and then doing so within a system that holds us accountable. Accountable to the offspring we create, the person we create them with, and the society that we are a part of. This in turn encapsulates the karma for responsible refining throughout our life, compared to sating these urges indiscriminately.

While i am already in danger of straying from my own scientific classification, you could perhaps consider there is some hypothesizing, extrapolating, or inferring occurring... nevertheless... This loosely covers the broad philosophical aspects of marriage within various traditional systems.

One important constant, is that there really is no divorce clause. I propose that this divorce clause turns a spiritual commitment into an ad infinitum contract for what can only be described as prostitution, by traditional standards.

Commonly, prostitution is considered to be the gross transaction of money for sex, or vaguely, the continued proffering of resources for continued sensual gratification. Ultimately, it's a sort of if/then boolean without necessarily defined terms.

The capitalization on this current system is occuring on an institutional level. Marriage and divorce fees only begin to scratch the surface of the machine that is being fed by this racketeering. Obviously, huge amounts of resources are diverted into the industry of lawyers, police officers, protective services, and other "Public Services" that secure and divert assets from people within society. Mostly the effect of this is that large amounts of resources become regulated, and diverted, into desirable avenues to perpetuate economic objectives.

Were i to again diverge into the theoretical realm, i would point out the correlation between the perhaps 80% of market spending attributed to women, and the similar favor awarded to women in divorce hearings... It is my personal belief, that there are certain inherent psychological and physiological mechanisms being preyed upon to achieve these desired results, and that these mechanisms are being manipulated at an institutional level from very young ages, which in turn pervade the society at all levels.

Well, who cares what I think anyways. I hope i have presented a sufficiently verbose framework to stimulate discussion on a subject i have been interested in for some time now.
