Truthfully, until you get past that first time hump it's going to seem like a big deal. FTFY ;)

NickTDS, you always make and post great articles to share :)

Then let the girl tell you that by rejecting you or whatnot. You have to get past your own fears and just do it instead of overthinking every little detail and trying to make sure it's the right move.

At the very least you realized what was going on and put that to a halt! Good job getting out of that dreaded zone, man :)

I don't know where you insinuated that from what I said. If people are fighting for equality, then at the very least, selective service should require everyone, men and women, to register for the draft. Ideally, selective service should end. I don't like the idea of being forced to fight in a war I don't believe in (if it comes down to that).

As far as I know, the laws haven't changed in the US since the last draft. But that's good to know about Canada...dual citizenship comes in handy!

Should the draft be reinstated (WWIII, alien race attacks Earth, etc), only males will be drafted because we are required to register when we turn 18. We are forced to go fight, whether we want to or not.

There's a word limit to main posts, and he writes way to verbosely to make putting the rest in the comments cumbersome.

I've enjoyed this post and the other post where you were hiking! Very good stuff, man :)

Some clasp on the front. I've had this happen to me. Feeling around for the usual hook and loop when you realize this isn't an ordinary bra was fairly awkward. Some actually clip instead of hooking. Some hook in a different direction (vertically instead of horizonally, and a large hook at that).

Reminds me of an interaction I just recently had with a server at a restaurant. Struck up a conversation with her since my friends and I were waiting in line and she was just hanging out menus. We chatted about life, college, our living situations, and I went to get her number so we can grab drinks later, and then we got interrupted. And then she walked away since she was still working. Probably should've gotten her number on the way out...oh well.

There are times where being that guy is warranted, though. A group of us went out dancing again and I noticed this weird guy just going up to girls and dancing with them without warrant. Now, I'm not normally protective, but he was seriously creepy, and I got a look from my female friend like "What the fuck is this guy doing...do something about it!" And I proceeded to cockblock him. Twice, in fact, since he didn't get the message. But yeah, totally agree with you otherwise. I've had this happen…

I think those two are in different classes, though. You shouldn't give a shit if she's seeing others because you're doing the same thing. However, STDs are its own shitstorm because that affects both of your physical well-beings that affects the rest of your life. You are obligated to tell your partners that, whereas you're not obligated to tell them you're seeing other people. Also, you can't read their mind. You don't know if they care or not. Regardless, if you feel you should make it clear, …

It's not lying by omission. If the person is smart enough, they should assume you are dating multiple people. When the talk comes, you'll need to make a decision then.

One-itis is a futile pursuit of one person who doesn't reciprocate interest in you, whereas this situation is different. Look at his end goal. He wants a serious relationship in the end.

Exactly this. Also, I find it very hard to talk like I would on the phone or online before the first meeting because they don't know how I act in real life.

Have something more concrete in plan before asking her to hang out with her. Better yet, quit inviting her out if she doesn't want to spend time with you as a friend.

Pro-tip: You guys have already been dating. I prefer what ThrowawayPUA does; a set of smaller activities. It's more interesting for both parties, and you can bounce to another once the current one gets stale and boring.

Do what you want with it. She may have some hot friends that you might want to pursue, so friending her is a good option.

Something tells me you're a bitter guy that gets trampled over by more attractive guys. I assure you that if you actually read some of the material, you might recognize that some of these little "games" and "techniques" are things that you might be already doing without realizing it.

Fuck dude, your hand isn't holding you back. You are holding yourself back. Someone asks you what happened to your hand, you can do whatever you want: "Whaling accident." "Remember what they told you about playing with liquid nitrogen?" "That? Oh, that's normal...you should see my OTHER hand!" Doesn't matter, as long as you pretend that nothing happened and everything is normal aka don't give a fuck.

Sleazy, full of himself, and manipulative. Bravo! We have a winner! You can't really pay $10 or $20 for a bouquet of flowers yourself? And even that, you would be sending her flowers for the wrong reason; not because you're attracted to her, but you want to impress/manipulate your boss. I can't wait for this to train wreck.
/r/seduction06/05/11 05:20 AM

You're in the wrong subreddit then. Seduction isn't about buying someone's interest; it's about bringing out your inner awesome and attracting people to you that way. But since that wasn't what you were asking, yes buying someone flowers, although romantic in nature, is faux pas when it comes to attracting women. And the fact that you're going to get someone else to buy the flowers for you just tells me you're a sleazy guy to begin with. Your co-workers, boss, and other Redditors are correct in …

The language barrier isn't the problem here. You're asking for validation and support for your actions, when we're telling you that it's not the right course to take here. Think about this way: "She has earned flowers from me because ______." What exactly has she done with or to you to justify getting her flowers? You shouldn't get flowers for her if you haven't gone out with her yet. You send flowers to thank her for a good time. You don't send flowers to buy her interest.

I wonder if there are others like me who are into it from a genuine joy of studying social dynamics. I find it entirely fascinating. Exactly why I read this stuff! I find it fun to go out and observe what's going on, and recognizing techniques. And then applying them...for science

Point still stands. Try dealing with the roommate before dishing out money for a hotel room or risk getting caught in a public place. Otherwise, it's your roommate's problem to deal with her own issues, not yours.

The way you are stating it makes it even more subjective than the original system is. The entire "HB" system is meant to quantify how approachable a particular individual appears to be. HB6 and HB10 both require different approaches. There's a sidebar link with a great description of how it's supposed to work.

If you get her number, you get a response ALL the time, even if it's not in your favor. The logistics may be difficult in some cases...but this is someone at a makeup/beauty store. How much traffic do you think they get at any given time? Not a whole lot of traffic, I would wager. It would take 15 seconds for her to rattle off her phone number, provided she knows it.

The outfit in the upper left pic is one I would use...the rest are either way too overdressed (practically screams "Hey look, I'm compensating for my lacking in other areas") or eccentric for a bar or club. Honestly, as long as you're wearing some kind of button-up, pants that fit, and matching shoes, you're good to go. Don't rely on looks to attract someone. Anyone can go out and buy an awesome outfit, but if you don't have the attitude and confidence to back it up, it's money wasted.

Handshake... too manly? Not really. I do handshakes sometimes, but not the strong ones you would do to another guy or business partner. One with a gentle but still firm grip. Personally, I prefer the hug, though, but that's because I like hugging. If there are multiple girls, hug all of them. whats a good way to approach a girl alone? "Hi! Noticed you were <insert situational observation here> ... <what course is that for/situational question/something really off-kilter>?"

Very good stuff :) Just be sure not to change topics too quickly, especially if she seems engaged in your particular topic. It'll make you seem like you're in interview mode, and she'll become disinterested pretty quickly. I like the 'top 5' lists and the 'three wishes' thing someone brought up.

Hey, this looks familiar. the lack of experience everyone seems to have in their early 20s with relationships holds me back This is because everyone's still in that figuring out what they want and who they are stage of their life. They don't want to settle down; they want to have fun. I've been in a few relationships since I turned 18, and although they all were great experiences that I learned a lot from, I really think I missed out on that exploration period of my life. I've noticed I've done this in clubs. Try to get really close, touch, and lean in to try and talk. The only hard part is if the music is so deafening loud that you can barely hear, but then it's probably time to move then.
