Also, domestic violence shelters are probably more needed for women because most of the time, women are the primary caretakers of the children if there are any. Meaning that there are probably not many cases where the man is abused, has to leave, AND would get the children. The women would most likely keep the children…which is a problem in itself if she is truly abusive but that’s how it goes. Can he not have a discussion with you about gender issues or societal behaviors?
