I mean , if he’s a POS he can still leave you at any time. It will just be messier if you’re married

Yea I don’t really understand the fixation on avoiding cohabitation without a ring. A ring isn’t going to make them better to live with or more compatible in your life. The idea of Marrying with someone before living with them is horrifying, more so as in - you’re more “stuck” once you’re married? And a ring won’t change his crusty bedsheets or mean that you’re not playing maid. I’m glad I lived with my now husband before we tied the knot. We lived together for over 2 years. And now have been ma…

Right? That was my second thought (after “man this is horrifying”) - I’ll bet some moon eyed LVM scriptwriter will pitch this for a film. Because stalking is ROMANTIC as it shows persistent and alpha dominance blech

I still have the build a bear my now husband got me when we were first dating. It has a place of honour on our bed.

Sure but would you leap towards him with fists flying and out your life at risk? That would make you very stupid. Being assertive and being aggressive are two different things. Putting yourself needlessly in the path of (potentially dangerous) violence is not a good idea. If you are attacked fight like hell. I’m no pacifist. Tell him to “fuck off!” Loudly. In public. From. Many feet away. Don’t try to be Bruce lee?

Yea definitely put yourself in further dangerous by escalating the situation to violence. Violence always the answer. I wanna die in a wal mart after all. Fuck this is terrible advice. I’m all for self défense but starting fights is stupid

RIGHT? this is pathetic. She got so many upvotes for being a desperate pickmeisha. Like if you’ve got to propose to your man you’re just chasing him , he doesn’t actually want you , and your spineless no self -respect ass just gonna get left in the dirt eventually.

I’m of the opinion that no gentleman (aka HVM) will ever ask for them anyway. In my experience - they don’t.

Also don’t send nudes. Aged 29, have never sent nudes to anyone, not even to my husband. (I mean what’s the point of that anyway he gets to see me naked everyday) And you know what? I don’t regret it. I feel sorry for women who have their naked body just out there like that. Even if the dude they send it to doesn’t leak them there are other ways they could end out there :/

Thats a good point maybe not the best simile. Vinegar in a cake can be useful, unlike dating dud men

You are not unusual. At least, I had a similar experience. Most of the closest friends I made in my early twenties - I fairly broke. In college, or at work etc etc. I met my husband five years ago when we didn’t have much money and we are still definitely not affluent, but we make do. I feel like there a false equivalency being drawn between affluence and intimacy. That correlation is true, is you’re looking to buy a sex worker or blow bills at a strip club. But outside of that - it’s been my ex…

The only man I ever dated that thought “daddy” was hot had major issues: The acute neuroses of a clinical manchild paired with the anti-feminist sentiment that turned me off him like vinegar on a cake. He was absolutely gorgeous, but so riddled with insecurities and “machismo” that he turned sour in my arms. Honestly? He described himself as “a rescue dog”. 24 y/o me thought it was endearing at first. But no woman with a good head on her shoulders would waste time trying to “rescue” him. Men who…

Absolutely do not bother. Nothing decent comes from situations like this. Boo hoo he caught “feelings “ and that’s so SCARY because he just wanted to use you like a sex doll. Oh nooo emotional maturity and intimacy. “Wahhh but Im an LVM fuck boi that’s too hard!” Then unloads it on you like it’s your problem. So he can keep you on the back burner while still using you. That’s gross and lame and a turn off at the every least. He’s in or he’s out. He’s out. Next

But if you’re expected to take charge or those things and do all this emotional and “invisible” labour that’s a problem in the first place. Being called a wife doesn’t make it better in my mind. Like the way it’s being explained : as the woman you get stuck doing all this work , unfairly, for an entitled man- But that’s okay so long as you get him to marry you? Why would you want to marry him in the first place. So can be legally bound to a lazy LVM? I’d rather live with him first, see his value…

I mean yes, sometimes. But I wouldn’t marry a man who didn’t share equally in those and I wouldn’t really know that they would unless I lived with them first? Happy to report. My husband turned out to be as amazing as he seemed. Hes cooking us dinner right now. We alternate or cook together. We both do chores. What is this “benefit?” I get him to marry me so then I’m on the hook for all you mentioned in return? I’m confused. Isn’t it better to find out he expects you to do all that while he sits…

Eh while I can understand this - I personally would never marry someone before living with them. I lived with my husband for almost 2 years before marriage. We moved in at 6 months. We knew then that the goal was marriage. We would have done it sooner but wanted to save money for a decent wedding. And to be honest, it was a test run. As much for my benefit as his. That being said, we were committed very early on / knew we were compatible- I know if I’d said - no seriously let’s just get married …

Eh for women like that it always is. These are the same women who are with partners that have cheated once or more and they just “worked through it” like spineless pickmeishas. I guess they think that’s just a woman’s burden? Always being in competition for that limp LVM dick

I know right? My husband would be like “BABE. Please, no- don’t. Just relax. Let me rub your feet.” He only wants to be intimate if I’m into it, comfortable, enjoying it. obviously. Like a healthy person.

That sub is a mess of women going “surprise pikachu face” at horrendous abuse. It makes me really sad and ANGRY. Like what the fuck. Why do women have such a hard time respecting themselves and such a default doormat setting. I need to work on my anger, obviously but I Do Not understand the amount of woman who have normalized monstrous, fucked up, shit. I like pet names from my husband and my husband only. I have some for him as well. If he had started calling me any of them before we were official and lovey dovey that would be a hard turn off. I am eternally wary of men who use pet names on women they don’t know. It smacks of a deeper entitlement - all women are theirs to be coddled/used/condescended to. No thanks. TLDR: I don’t think you overreacted per se. Men who use pet names generically like that tend to have a certain view of women Edit-…

No. They are riddled with self dislike and a nagging feeling of dissatisfaction if not outright loneliness. It’s lonely to settle for a LVM because you refuse to grow a spine. I learned this young, and grew one. I’m alternately mad at and sad for pickmeishas who will never learn. Edit- I have a friend in her mid thirties, a gorgeous woman who gets a lot of male attention. She has sex with anyone who will have her at the drop of a hat then wonders why they never call or only use her for sex and i…
