This old trope is worn out. If your man acts like this in any way, just let him go. He couldn't be any clearer about what he thinks about marrying you. And no, it's not a "joke". If he's anything but thrilled about the idea of marrying you or if he's willing to use the idea of marrying you as a joke for the boys... he's not for you, sis. Don't. Drag. Men. Into. Marriage.

These are GOLD! Her other one saying she carries her man on her hip inside if he falls asleep in the car. Lmao I hope to God men don't see this and think it's real and then say shit like "you all are real women"!

Oh, but you see, in their fantasy, they are so alluring with their "smooth" compliment that you can't help but leave your boyfriend immediately to run into the arms of the man on the other side of the screen. You're boyfriend is simply a small obstacle, but once you open your eyes and realize what you could have with this keyboard casanova, your boyfriend will pale in comparison and you'll leave him in the dust. Yuck.

I always compare it to a vending machine. You put your money in and in return you get food or whatever. Men think "if I buy her flowers, dinner, and tell her she's pretty I will get sex in return". One flowers, dinner, and compliment = one sex. And unfortunately there are "vending machines" (pickmeishas) who give them sex. That's why they know they can get away with it. Because they have many times before.

Who the Hell taught us this shit? Was it our mothers? Our fathers? Our religious leaders? Who in God's name decided that we should punish ourselves and suffer through situations that make us miserable? Aren't people always saying life is short? So why would I spend even a second of my short life allowing myself to be unhappy? It's okay to make sure you are trying your best to be happy every single day of your life and if that means "giving up" on toxic people that make your life miserable, then …

See, these men have been following the same rulebook for centuries and they still don't realize women no longer fall for the shit in that rulebook. We're growing, why haven't they? Apparently nobody told them that their philosophies about women are outdated.

Oh, I've been on a few male centered subreddits where a man has tried to sing the praises of his significant other and he's immediately downvoted and told how he's a fool to think she isn't out cheating on him right this minute and is probably only using him for his money. No matter how much he protests, he's told by these "experts", who know better about his wife than he does, that his wife is a scheming, evil, wh*re because that's "inherent" in all women. Meanwhile, every time a woman over her…

Men tend to think of themselves more highly than they deserve and women tend to think of themselves lower than they deserve. My mom married a man who was 40-50 pounds overweight, but he insisted he was only 10 pounds overweight and if he only could lose those 10 pounds he would be an Adonis. My mom and I would constantly eyeroll at that shit. Whereas with women, I've had to convince them that they aren't grotesque beasts for having a damn pimple and a little cellulite. So strange.

Men cannot stand women who don't live for the sole purpose of pleasing men. If you don't provide something for men - for their eyes, stomach, penis, household, etc. - then you might as well not exist. A woman who lives for herself and is happy with her body image is an enemy to them, so they try to destroy those women and break them down. There's a sort of satisfaction when you try to focus on maintaining your body for yourself only because not only are you taking care of and loving yourself, bu…

Exactly! Next time they say "mEn InVeNtEd EvErYtHiNg" maybe we should respond with "I know, and look how crappy the world turned out". They "invented" the political system, the judicial system, and the social system and yet.. they're all corrupt as fuck! We know you "invented" it! That explains why rich men are the only ones having a good time. Everyone else is miserable.

He seems like one of those guys who blames all his poor behavior on his "neanderthal DNA" that's "wired" in all males apparently. Funny... we've evolved past almost everything else, but men still haven't evolved past their "neanderthal male behavior". It's almost like they like being able to behave like dogs and use this as their excuse to never change. It's "science". They literally "can't" change what's "ingrained" in them from the beginning of time. Stop trying to tell us that we're capable o…

Lol look at this pickmeisha's response: "What are the things you are arguing about? Are you asking him to not blow money on hookers? Or are you arguing about not unloading the dishwasher? Because I really think people in marriage need to pick their battles. You can't change a person if they don't want to change. So if you are arguing and he tells you he will do something just to stop arguing, you are going to get nowhere fast. He has to feel like the request you are making is valid. Personally I…

100% can confirm. Since the day my first brother was born, we've been trying to take each other out. And then my second one came along. Now it's become a three-way rivalry until the day we die. As you can guess, my mother is exhausted.

Isn't part of their porn watching fantasizing that they are the ones banging these porn stars? What porn star wants to be banged by a man who has horrible hygiene? Don't they realize this? Oh, right. She's not an actual person to them. She's an object who will gladly take their use and abuse. In their fantasy, even with stank breath, she simply cannot resist him!

My mom's second husband. How does an adult man have nothing to his name except an old run-down, beat-up, tiny-ass pick-up truck and a guitar at 50 years old? When he wasn't leeching off of his "woman of the month", he would move back in with his loser sons. A full-grown man having to live off of his own children! He kept several women waiting on the sidelines during any relationship so that when his current girlfriend wised up to what an absolute loser he was and kicked him out, he would have an…

I know! The strength she had to just walk away without a word is inspiring. And she asked for advice on if she was being unreasonable and even after people told her she was, she still decided to not contact him. She chose healing instead. What a woman, indeed! I wish I could find it, but I can't even remember what subreddit it was posted in.

I love when men stick to their values, even at the risk of losing a friend, and tell their friend off. It's so attractive. I see people who know their best friend is cheating on their significant other or treating them poorly and yet they will make excuses for their best friend and remain friends with them even though they "don't agree" with their friend's behavior. Here's the thing , for me, staying friends with a cheater or an abuser tells me all I need to know about you. If you're willing to …

Yep, so true! When I was going to school to be a teacher I spent a day in a kindergarten to get some practical experience. The teacher sat all the kids in a circle on the rug and she had each one say what they wanted to be when they grew up. Each boy said they wanted to be something awesome - in fact they wanted to do multiple awesome things. "Race car driver and astronaut and fireman"! The next boy would say "police man and a doctor" And each one would say something along those lines. It was ad…

That's a good point! That's why I always try to use words that don't mean all but rather mean, a great majority, when talking about men because I know it's not all men. It's just that the lousiest husbands and fathers get complained about way more often than the good ones get praised, so you're led to believe that the low-value ones are all that's left anymore. The good ones just stay quiet and do their own thing. They're not complaining about women, not sexually harassing, and not causing probl…

You're so right! Very few men know how to take care of their daughter's hair. They aren't raised to learn stuff like that because they're told by other men in society that "tHaT's A wOmAn'S jOb". They don't realize they're screwing the younger generation of men over by white-knuckling onto their outdated, toxic views.

Yeah, unfortunately for kids, it seems like most custody battles are about "winning" the separation and hurting the other party. If the father truly is the better option, then I get it, but more often than not, there's a reason why mothers get custody most of the time. I don't doubt the father in this video loves his children, but I would be so embarrassed and ashamed if I were him and knew so little about the people that I helped create.

Actually, men do deal with a lot of violence, but... by other men. Fathers may spank their sons more. Boys probably wrestle around more and get into fights at school more often. They are roughed up throughout life, but it's due to the culture that men have amongst themselves that they need to be seen as tough. You need to either stand up to your bullies or be the bully, usually by using your fists. And you can't cry either because "crying is for girls". Do some women get violent with men? Absolu…

There are men who will claim until they're blue in the face that ALL MEN - every single last one on Earth - look at porn and if they say they don't, they're liars. They literally cannot even conceptualize that there are men out there that don't look at porn or are okay with waiting for sex. It's just another one of those "I don't want to feel guilty or bad about my behavior, so I'm going to normalize it and those who call it out will be the "bad guys" things. They claim all men do it so they don…

I had to unfollow him too. He makes it difficult to enjoy his band because of his attitude and ego. I get that he's a rock star living the rock star life, but watching a grown man do and say some of the things he does and says is... cringeworthy to put it nicely.

That's the thing, I don't think I've ever seen a marriage that doesn't turn into the woman being a second mommy or wife and husband turning essentially into roommates with barely any partnership. I have no good examples of marriage. Maybe long term relationships while living apart is the way to go for me? At least for now. I'll never say never to marriage, but right now I'm not convinced it's the right choice for me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/01/20 03:58 PM

What if I'm not sure if I ever want to get married? That's the goal for a lot of women here, but I'm very jaded about marriage (and men). I dont want to be anyone's gf for 13 years, but marriage to me = a trap by men to use and abuse a mother figure that they can stick their dick in.

I think the biggest lesson I've learned is that I am the only person I can ever truly count on and I am okay with being by myself and have learned to enjoy my own company. I'm not afraid to cut toxic people out of my life no matter who they are (family members, friends, romantic partners) because I'm not afraid of being alone. From time-to-time I sit and think about the relationships in my life and decide if what they're bringing into my life is more positive or negative. If you bring me more st…
