Women are typically more passive on the whole because we’ve been socialised to be so, it doesn’t make it an inherently feminine trait.

Why would anyone keep in contact with ex hookups when they’re in a monogamous relationship? I’m talking about women who fucked around a bit when they were in their 20s-30s, but mostly only ever in the gaps between serious monogamous relationships. And usually the sexual encounters they had were in the pursuit of another committed relationship, but for whatever reason didn’t turn into such. IMO the people who are far more likely to cheat are those that wake up one day with a feeling they didn’t make more of their youth and discover themselves a bit more. I’ve seen this happen countless times. My friends who rode the merrygo round were eventually over it and ready to settle down with one person, they don’t feel like they missed out on anything and their experiences ensured that they found the right person to do that with.

Because they are more experienced and therefore less likely to put up with crap from a sub-par man. I don’t see this as a disadvantage for these women, quite the contrary. Staying in a shitty marriage because you don’t know any better isn’t a desirable outcome.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
