Pair bonding does exist but I am not willing to go as far as to say lifetime love those, at least not how pop culture depicts it. The problem is that so many people are so illogical, so impractical and down right stupid about the people they end up with all in the name of love is blind. If people actually did due diligence in knowing who they are dating the miss slips will be greatly reduced. More conservative cultures/religions tend to abstain from sex for both male and female, marriage is wher…

I was chaste because of my upbringing but around 20 I kinda quit it, but kept up the chastity 4 years later. I feel like of I did have sex, I would then orient my life around getting really good at getting it (as that's what I do with everything I want). I think the casual sex situation is pure chaos, which inherently has potential. However the average person will probably squander that potential and only end up hurting them selves in the long run. Sex is even worse than drugs. At least with dru…

Cherry picking philosophies... like what exactly? (Don't give me the ramblings of a lone idiot either). Also I find it hilarious that smart people and dummies alike hate on people that come up with up theories/hypothesis that require thinking outside the box. My problem with people like RP, BP, PP is that they tend to voice their theory as fact or principle without validation, which is very unscientific. Though I see nothing fundamentally wrong basing your own decisions on theories as that is at…

"It really doesn't matter what you mind or not" Then what are we talking about? We are talking about our opinions on this matter, odd choice of words. That aside I agree that neglect is abuse, though under those circumstances you should take it up with the authorities rather than taking into your own hands. Just look at the hollywood metoo scandal, if someone came clean when it started countless people would have been spared. It may not be malicious, but that weakness and fear causes untold suff…

Well I'm glad that he doesn't repeat the same mistakes, it somewhat partially makes up for the inability to apologise. I was just imagining he was making the same mistakes over and over and not admitting it, I guess he did admit non verbally if he learns from it.

A/B) yh it's true that he could have been completely useless C/D) I don't mind her leaving alone that's fine, stealing the kid is the issue, if he tried the same thing it would be just as bad. E) Yh she may have pulled a fast one to get the kid out, that actually kind of sucks now looking at it. Well this is me thinking as too how fast does the government respond to these things, they may have the advantage as the Japan gov may see it coming where as the US did not, but it's the same situation i…

Yes we both don't know, hence I didn't make the assumption ;) Yes I do enjoy it because I find it interesting to think about these things in my down time. Well my brain doesn't stop thinking so I have to purposely distract myself with seemingly meaningless things like this just to take things down a level. Yh it's a really backwards way of thinking but it seems like it's a common line of thought. Especially in this day and age where people want "equality", which is just a guise for give the good shit others have and don't let others have mine.

Aha in the case of abuse I can feel mockingly sympathetic. Abuse is always bad but when you walk straight into it you deserve a bit of a mocking at least aha. My mothers country is 51% Muslim but she's a christian, she was more than smart enough to not marry one even though a lot of them were interested in her.

I am completely fine with acknowledging his inadequacies in his role as a Husband. Though the situation is like "you tripped me over, so now I'm going to RKO you". She took it to the next level of failure. As his failure seems like something that since he was committed to the relationship is something that he would be very willing to work on, though what she did doesn't have a way out (with exception of abuse, or he let her take the kid). It's around 3+ years, people really shouldn't be making k…

Correction you incorrectly inferred that because "she went BACK to Japan" that he was the cause of her move to the states in the first place. If I move to the states (trying to in the next few years) and I incidentally met a women there and marry, then she didn't bring me over. I moved myself...

No I understand what I got from the video, kinda snarky to imply I need to pay attention. What I am saying is that I came to a different conclusion than you and don't understand what you mean. Are you implying that he wants his parents and wife to have a dysfunctional relationship so they don't pass money on to her? In context that doesn't make any sense as it defies logic. When you get an inheritance you get it solely, however if you are married it will effectively be shared unless it's covered…

Damn really never apologised, I'm not trying to be offensive but that sounds pretty weak and insecure on his part. My dad is like that and I vow to never be like that, I moved out 3 weeks ago and cut him out of life. I want to be a great man, we don't need men who can't say sorry.

Oh yes you are 100% correct, it's complete conjecture. Though good thing about problems is that they can be probabilistic, so being 80-90% sure she fucked up is not bad just based on stats on how likely any one person is to be an abuser etc. Though the main reason I posted this was to see if anyone would say something that really surprising or maybe really backwards. Just to see how they got to that conclusion, though no one has done that thus far.

Yes he probably did do a lot of things really wrong, and as a man it's almost our duty to reflect and admit when we are wrong. A similar thing happened to one of brothers close friends parents, only difference is that no one moved. The dad somewhat claimed to have gotten blindsided, but he probably was not paying enough attention we all know the mother is very quiet and to herself. One of the kids fell between the cracks of the breakup and they somewhat neglected him. He went from a smart well a…

Yes, the reason why I am saying what I am is that it's a constrained problem. Sometimes once certain variables are introduced they act as a trump card that makes it unlikely for any explanation to be a viable one. One exaggerated example is that if you know someone killed another person out of cold blood, it's almost impossible to find an explanation that would make them justifiable for doing so without being John Wick! So there is the case that he is abusive, there is also the case that he will…

Yh I think the kid is 3 years old, not months so at that age their significantly easier to deal with, as they can talk and move on their own etc Also she's been there for at least 3+ years since he was born in the states I believe. Yh you can see with his background and his presentation that he's somewhere on the spectrum, though I wouldn't say he's not emotional. It's more a manner of expression than what he's feeling (which we don't know), he's a very smart guy and just doesn't talk about thin…

He did not go over this in the video, but I have been watching his over videos. He travels and does a lot with his family. He claimed bad thing about working at google is that when google took them on getaways, he would feel bad about going out and enjoying himself alone when he left his wife and kid at home. I can only imagine there was no abuse, and also he that he did not stop her from doing these things if he claimed he actively did these things on his channel.

So you are saying he willing let her leave with the child? I can see that point of view? So the child may or may not come back? Issue is I can't imagine with what he said he willingly let the child go, the child simply went a long with her. I also doubt but it is possible he said that the child is better off with her and not him, though this contradicts everything he said so I kinda.... jumped to conclusions my bad.

And when men get it rough it's usually concentrated in a very few very unfortunate men and they get it really rough. When I compare male vs female problems, female tend to have problems that every women experiences but are rather light, where as males get hit with heavy problems but are much rarer. I think this is why certain people who I shall not name have the tenacity to tell someone like you to your face that you are privileged. What privilege? Sorry should have explicitly said she's permanently taking the child away, so effectively kidnapping. She has broken up the marriage and returned home with their son. I think he probably did a lot wrong himself for it to get to that point, though unless he abused her or the kid nothing justifies permanently cutting a son and father off from one and another.

Honest the one that really gets me is false child abuse accusations, surely that accusation should be a double edged sword. When someone pulls that card they are immediately saying I am not a fit parent because I let someone systematically abuse my kids and did nothing, it's how backwards the system is if people can get away with lies like that.

I mean running off alone is fine, but she effective abducted the kid. I can imagine that she didn't as he did say most of her family was back home. So most of her friends were probably back home and probably didn't make many new friends.

Honestly people have serious issues. As a man, I want to provide for my family 100%, make sure we have money and the opportunity to follow desires and dreams. She talked badly about him. This is emotional manipulation of a child though, good mothers do not talk badly about the fathers and vice versa. Telling a boy how you hate the father is a good way to warp perceptions, the kid should come to their own conclusion.

If we have to take your question seriously, I'll argue in good faith. I will also add that they have both worked the same hours since they met, otherwise there could naturally be aversion to change in the shift in household responsibilities. One reason is that chores get done by whoever wants them done more. Guys tend to have less stuff and make less mess, and when they do they usually clean up after themselves since it will be a huge mess (work on the house etc.). I can see this dynamic even wi…

Most if this makes perfect sense, however I will add in areas where weak men are really failing. The fact that men were losing out on both the cool and fun stat just shows how pathetic men are becoming. Also the fact it was only 50/50 about who was scarier when mad? If you frame it like a hero's origin story like cpt murica then I can see that working in your favour, however I reckon some guys kind of frame it in a way that seeks out validation or what not (sad story). This, yes it's the extremes that can tend to exacerbate the difference between men and women. Because of how the distribution works, most people will typically be a mix of competition and cooperation. However the most gun hard pro competition or nothing will be men, and pro cooperation or nothing will be women. With the exception of how online dating slightly exaggerates the inequalities of male success, I 100% find the maths and the logic to make sense. This also means that below a certain point large increases in self improvement will yield small improvement of success closer to the bottom. While closer to the top small improvements will yield greater improvements in outcomes. That means if you are roughly sitting at 80% moving to 90% will increase your success exponentially, something to strive for.…

The difference between a natural and a skilled imitator probably comes down to mindset. Even if they come across the same on the surface, what is going on in their brain will be very different. The gym analogy is the best one for this. To become strong you need either good genetics with okay work ethic, or average or even worse genes with outstanding work ethic. Even if you disregard everything I said, let's take your point since you are so stuck on it. If alcohol removes inhibition on you the subject, then it will also do the same to the object. Hence people without inhibition tends to find things more interesting as a subject, but also in turn are more interesting as an object. Actually are you trolling me?

Thanks for the response, somehow this one fell through the gaps. It sounds like you are well adjusted, as long as you have those two close friends I don't think you're really as socially inept as you think you are. Unless they are in a very similar boat to you. It's great you're improving yourself, it's all about taking those steps. If you've only found a "few" than I would say that's more than enough, just by exposing yourself to more women you'll come across more that interested.

I can imagine what it feels like to get socially behind, I don't think a lot of people understand the catch 22 of how you get better at social situations by being social, hence why it's easy to spiral up and down in skill. It might sound stupid but you might get away with playing the numbers game. Pretty much declare upfront to a bunch of people after getting to know them how it would be "cool if we were friends etc". Eventually you'll find someone who won't look down on how you are behind socia…

Thanks for the response, sorry it took me a while to get back to this. Aha I had to ironically look up what "bovines" in this context meant. I guess a lack of free time holding you back is the best reason for not having more at least in this case. Time can always free up down the road.

Aha just the other day when I was picking up some papa johns, I saw a young couple both on their phones not speaking to each other. A cop walked in and we had a little chat, but I suck at small talk. I don't believe people actually prefer this mode of behaviour, it's just that people are addicted/undisciplined so the instant gratification pulls them in. It's why I keep a shitty phone I hate using, makes it easy to never look at it apart from calling people. However you can be a little bit creati…

Just read some scientific papers and read between the lines. While the study of how the big five personality traits interacts with drugs is scarce, it's still out there. Let's forget about openness, and instead focus on extraversion which is well documented. It's as light as day that alcohol consumption increases extraversion in most subjects. Also given any individual, they are more like to more interesting in a social situation with higher levels of extraversion. I am not talking about drunk p…

I give my power away to others. Yh sounds like you weren't properly managing these friendships to begin with, I've heard of many things but this is definitely a first. I understand how getting a LTR partner can give power away, but a friend. While I can't fault you on perspective as I don't know your life, it would be my bet that little things here and there would make all the difference.

The Commission will keep on shoving it down parliaments throats till they accept a version of it. I hope it either loses, get heavily stripped down or simply not enforced if it wins. In fact it's actually unimaginable that one of those three things doesn't happen, otherwise Reddit, YouTube any independent platform will heavily censor and filter EU countries. Thanks for the response! Tough break, it's a common to lose friends under those circumstances. I don't know how, but the opening up part is probably key to making close friends, however I'm sure there are those who've found a hack around that. Interestingly that is a different take on the correlation, though I don't necessarily think that it's in conflict with what others have said. Hmm that's an interesting take on it, friends as indicators. That's potentially one thing I could get penalised on, though I'll happily live with it. One line in the opening theme for a show I love goes, "there's always room for you, if you want to be my friend" (brownie points for anyone who knows the reference without the help of google). The jist of it is that some people like me might have some friends that act in a undesirable way, not because we think it's cool, but as long as they want fr…

You plan to isolate yourself, do you really think that's better for you. I think when you try really hard to do something and it doesnt work out. You are forced to accept it not by choice. This isn't a great value system to live by. Of course there are certain things that are immutable and can't change, but most important things about a person easily can. What has made you abandon trying to make friends?

I don't think you understand the scientific term openness, it's the trait that determines interest ideas. Openness is so strongly correlated with creativity, they might as well be the same thing. Hence it's not simply that you have lowered inhib so you can tolerate boring people more, it's that these boring people become more interesting. Trust me you sound just like me, I've just looked into it as well.

I made this account a few years ago, I was quite a bit angrier back then and stepped on peoples toes. I don't think you'll be surprised to find out how the definition of friend varies wildly from culture to culture and person to person, hence I tried to use a standardised definition that wasn't too restrictive. If I hadn't of done so then people would either under report the amount of friends they had, or get stuck on the semantics of what a friend is, which would not be useful for my analysis. You probably aren't wrong on some level, if a guy is a friend, straight, single and finds you attractive, they will probably accept any advance you make. I noticed girls were much freer with me when I had a gf, though ironically that's when they were more likely to fall for me aha. On the flip side I think most guys that are respectful enough to make good friends won't cross the platonic boundary uninvited.

100% correct!, hopefully after a relatively decent post the mods will reconsider a sequel to be aimed at incels in a month or so (while I enjoyed responding to everyone it took up so much time, don't have the energy to do this again anytime soon). Incels honestly they have a very different view on this, and it's a shame we can't hear them out, because of an over reach on a rule. I definitely understand that this definition is one that makes more sense when reflecting on your own life, though my definition simply just makes it simple to analysis. The distinction for my analysis between someone actually being a "close friend" and an acquaintance you can hang around with for a whole day one on one it mute. Thanks for the response. Definitely an interesting reason for having more friends, even being an introvert. I'm an introvert myself and I like your perspective on having more friends, the social energy required to maintain them does sound tough. Though it seems as you have taken the responsibility of the "janitor" yourself, you're actively working that muscle to increase your social capacity. I like that, you have my respect :D.

Seems like free time/ good variation of hobbies tend to correlate pretty strongly with amount of close friends (may seem obvious, but I didn't want to assume the trend). Also being social is like a muscle, working it makes it easier to date? I would assume this is the case for most people.

Ah man don't worry, things can turn around a moments notice. It does appear that only small set of quality friends is all that is needed, also friends that motivated to invest time in talking to women. So maybe the increase past 3-5 isn't a big deal, though do you think an increase from 0 to 3 would personally help you and others in the same situation?

Man I feel for you, that cut deep. Though at least it sounds like you'll some kick ass memories that most people would never get to experience. You never know though, all it might take is just making that one friend and everything flips on it's head and your back in business. I wish you luck man!
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/19 12:27 PM

Yh my criteria was arbitrary, just making it easier for those who would struggle to label themselves. I think you are the first to find there isn't a correlation between friends and finding women who are attracted to you. Though technically your female friends pointing out women who are interested or not does seem like it could be a valuable perk. You know I think it's actually a pretty good thing you've become more outgoing with age, sounds like real character growth, I hope I can do the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/19 12:22 PM
1

I'm glad that my criteria made it a little easier to label someone as a friend or not, it's pretty arbitrary criteria but I thought it would better than leaving up to the wild west. It's true that you are the average of the closest people to you, would make sense that having friends that people wouldn't consider desirable would have a knock on effect.

Thanks for the response! The dilemma of knowing the a wider circle would be beneficial in some sense, but would also be taxing at the same time. Wow I'm at awe in how you managed to keep up going out solo for some time, I would have probably fizzled out in no time. Don't worry if you feel like you're in a little bit of a lul, maybe you just need the recharge. Aha thanks for the response! The diversity of the group seems to be a big factor, I would even go as far as the motivations of the group. Aha my man, I think you are the first response to have more female than male friends, the "partners" bit is illuminating though. Aha it almost sounds like a hop skip networking strategy, I like it. I'm just guessing that as it's been mentioned earlier it's not compatible with some women, they don't like guys to have that many female friends. Have you ever came across this?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/19 11:42 AM

Thanks for the response, I think if I'm not mistaken you are the first female here who has close male friends. Thanks for the very open response, great to have people from all walks of life on here. I do treat my female friends differently, but not much differently, the differences are not immediately obvious. Wohaa I'm introverted too! Have you ever experimented with getting involved with a social group with the aims of only coming out of it with only one or two close friends (the people you got on with the most)? Aha I can get quite autistic when calculating things that resemble human life. Yes you definitely have a point that making someone solely a "plan b" is not such a good idea. I guess if your friendships are set up perfectly then each one of your friends can be a "plan a" in some scenarios, but also a "plan b" at other times (overlapping friends interests). Like a game buddy and pub buddy, but pub buddy can also be a game buddy when game buddy is out of commission (horribly stupid and reductionist…

Thanks for the response, definitely an interesting bit on a friendship that needed cutting. It's interesting to hear about the nuances between all the responses, especially in the correlation between friends and romantic success. Thanks for the response, that's really cool you have people around you that you trust more than your thoughts! Though I didn't mind while he was respectful, unfortunately he got quiet complacent and thought I owed him a friendship aha, that was the final straw. That actually led me to trying to pragmatically calculate the minimum viable and optimal amount friends needed for a healthy social life. I think I came to the conclusion …

Thanks for the depthly response. I should be in a similar situation you were 6-7 years ago with moving city myself. Were there any key moments in from the time you moved to now where your social circle expanded a lot, or was it more of a gradual increase? I'm kinda introverted so I tend to stay away from groups, and do the one on one deal a lot more. I was just wondering if it's cool to get involved with a social group only to really establish friendships with a one or two people from it?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/19 11:44 PM

Thanks for the response, interesting this is quite different from comments so far. Well I suck at proactively trying to make close friends with both males and females, though I don't have a lack of friends, they just happen by accident and it grows from there. Though when I move city by myself soon I won't have such luxury, so I'm going to have to learn how to intentionally bridge the gap of being friendly with people to becoming good friends. Though I have never really treated my female friends…

Thanks for the feedback, I will change the criteria to clearly specify it has to be a one on one visit for a day or even overnight for example. Yes though that close friend would fit under the criteria, as you hypothetically would if you could I assume. Also just to note the questions typically have obvious answers for most people, it's how they were answered which is important to me though (I'm being subtle). The reason question 4 is relevant is because this post was initially aimed at a demogr…

Thanks for the response, aha hopefully the criteria did make it easier in standardising the metric for people, working out what is a close friend or not is otherwise quite tricky and subjective. I hadn't really even considered the positive gossip playing a substantial role, it helps to hear these things from others.

Thanks for your in-depth response, sounds good to me. Your answers are inline with what I would expect a typical adjusted person's answers to be like. Unfortunately I'm not sure If I'm going to get responses from a demographic of people I was initially targeting, my previous post was removed as it was against the sub's rules.

Thanks for the response! Do you wish you had more friends in that case, or is the one good friend you have satisfying? Do you also think it's had any affect on more romantic avenues with women? Sorry if the questions are too personal.

Thanks for the response, I'm glad you found a good set of friends. Yes a few close friends are worth more than 100's of acquaintances. I must say most of my second year at uni was a struggle for this reason (only close friends were back home/other unis), luckily made two close friends near the end of the year and it saved my degree quite literally.

Sorry you feel like my definition is lame, though it's very deliberately concrete. I didn't want to start talking about semantics and guessing games as everyone will have a slightly different threshold for what they consider close, hell even the same person will change their definition over a lifetime. Hopefully you now understand why I made it so redundantly clear. Thanks for your response, sounds very healthy and normal.

I made this account a few years ago, I was quite a bit angrier back then and stepped on peoples toes. I found having my username gendered actually reduced the amount of backlash I got from women, though slightly increased the amount I got from some blackpill types. Also the name is a little bit of a jab at the "thisgirlcan" stereotype. Don't get me wrong women can be badass, though from experience it's never the ones that openly claim to be strong who are strong.

I have just read everything you have written and I don't think I have misunderstood what you have said. The biggest issue with what you have just said is that the interaction between society and the welfare state is incredibly complex and nuanced and this post does not treat it as such. You have taken a system with 100s if not 1000s of small but contributing factors and just removed the whole thing, there is no telling exactly how the outcome would turn out, though the chances are that's it's an…

You know what fair enough, I'll put my hands up and say I honestly did not know that incels were irrelevant to RP/BP. I thought they were typically people who went from blue to red to black, at least that's what sounds like happened to the incels who frequent here. In that case can I repost but redirect the question towards RedPiller's to avoid violating the rule (will achieve a similar affect, as a lot of them are on the verge of being incels anyway). There will be no reference to blackpill, in…

The profile reels in the matches, but the game has to be on point from there to convert, otherwise even 1000 matches can get diddly squat :D (EDIT, that boost is now up to 12 matches, that's a lot of matches from 30 mins of swiping. TRP is like the darkside where as BP is the lightside of the force, star wars ep III is actually quite profound in highlighting the cons and pro of each. The most powerful individuals are those who walk the fine line in between and draw from the beneficial lessons from both. You might not feel it yet, though you are quite fortunate to have come back from the darkside at a young age and the experiences will make you better for it. You spend that much free time on Reddit, that probably doesn't help... I took break from Reddit in 2018, really paid of IMO. I would at least sit through Joe Rogan's podcast with David Goggins as a start. I think you need to diversify avenues of where you get information from. There is nothing wrong with using Reddit, but if it's the only thing you use you risk developing an insanely biased perspective on life.

I'm going to stop you there... before you continue to write a trilogy to the narrative you have created. I made a catfish of someone I used to be friends with. I didn't delete the account, in which I've learnt a decent amount from over the years. I'm not going to lie and say it's not weird, though where you're taking this is an exaggeration.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/19 12:25 AM

That isn't even remotely true. Pursuing a date and then succeeding at a date can be broken down into numerous entangled skills, a set of skills typically called social skills. To naturals, they embody these skills without thinking about it, to others you have to learn them and improve your fluency in them. For example do you believe it possible for someone to become funnier with practice?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/19 12:05 AM

Yh man it was a harsh dig at someone I was an "acquaintance" with, I never deleted the account and went from trolling to researching how to make him as desirable as possible. He's not attractive and his photos are half shit, but I worked it till it worked. For some context I rarely use my phone, but when I do (5 mins a day) then it's tinder, 5 mins a day adds up over 5 years!

It 100% does, don't you get it. You are tilted IRL when you go about trying to interact with women. If you honestly tried doing things for 7 months but did not improve at all, chances are you only got worse (tilted). If you picture your skill with women as your rank, then your rank is low and has not improved even though you have spent time trying. This is a perfectly normal complaint a lot of people have, however when corrected or guided in the right direction they start to dramatically improve…

As a guy who has managed to go on 18 loss streak in league of legends, I think I am qualified enough to tell you that you are tilted to fuck. Funnily enough once I took a break and reset, I climbed a whole league in barely any games. It's not enough to just do, you have to learn from the failures and improve, otherwise you will get worse, learn bad habits and get doomed to Bronze V hell.

I agree with the paragraph, though the title... fat dude =/= fat chick. Honestly if we graphed the skill required to succeed with women rating from 0-10 then you would find that the line wouldn't be that steep and the y intercept would be fairly high. In other words it's bad advice to tell guys who are failing with average girls to date down with bottom of barrel girls, it doesn't improve their chances enough to warrant going that far. As a guy who has catfished a dude that is a solid 5 out of ten for over 5 years, I can't agree with the common trope that you have to be even close to a 7 for it to work (atleast on tinder). Though the profile I created for him was pretty dope, and gave him the best possible chance. I used a boost and got 7 matches in a day. This is the PUA version of confidence which is quite superficial and shallow. Deep confidence is not something that is only earned through accumulating experience in a specific area. Someone who has built real confidence by chasing their potential in all facets of life could probably confidently cold approach someone the first time they tried... Real confidence carries over to most facets of life.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/19 08:27 PM

You can only be an unconfident interesting person and consistently succeed in warm/hot approaches. If you don't have confidence then anyone you don't know well will not give you a chance to show yourself off before you trip over yourself. Confidence is a trait that allows your character to shine through, if you are not confident then you will cut yourself off at the knees in many uncomfortable situations (meeting people often comes under this category)

Romantic attraction takes in all traits a person has, looks, personality, status, scenario etc. You can infer (guess) what kind of person someone is by how they look. Hence even when you are evaluating someone purely on looks, biases and guesses on what kind of person you predict them to be can influence how much you are turned on by them. Yes a lot of it comes down to jealously, though some comes down to the hypothalamus which can influence a males well being based on his perception of himself compared to others around him. The more of a "winner" you are, the less negative emotion affects you and more positive emotions rewards you. Young girls sometimes like falling into this category, I have seen it play out a few times when a sweet young fairly attractive girl pretty much holds a young lads mess together. What is this redpill HB scale? it's probably just an amalgamation of a lot of dudes subjective opinions on a girl's rating, of course with how it calculates the average it's not going to apply to any individual that accurately. I am telling you that even if on the scale a women was rated as a 5, in your head she's not a five on a bell curve otherwise you are affectively saying this women is the 50th percentile of women I have seen. I don't add any factors to physical attractiveness, as then you …

What do you mean? It just sounds like your scale has no meaning, it's there but as arbitrary which socks you choose to put on. Why was a good looking girl not sexually attractive to you? Is it because of other factors like personality which shouldn't factor on the hot scale.

My dick can get hard at inanimate objects, though it's calming down as I age. For my dick to not get hard something has to disgust me, a 2 and below can easily do that. Dick threshold doesn't mean much, some guys just never struggle to get hard while others could struggle with a 9. Also it's more complicated than that, because a 9 in generic porn won't get me hard, but a 3 in a fetish variation can.

In UK the average women is not attractive, and I implicitly said 5/10 was average when I said 50% will be as or more attractive. No I could probably get hard with a 3 or 4, though it's not like I would want to, it's still got a mind of it's own at times. Most sensible people would prioritise personality over looks, however if the looks threshold is also not met then you would have a no deal. Though if forced at gun point I would pick personality over looks, though I don't think I'll have any pro…

Oh right fair enough, I'm guessing some women who rated as a five would be like a 6-8 in your book. If that's the case that's totally normal and fair. I thought for a sec you were quite literally happy with people who you thought were a 5
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/19 09:48 PM

No, ambitions get you better result you dingus, thought it was kind of self evident. On a more serious note there will is a lot more risk involved, being able to handle risk and mitigate them is not for everyone I guess. Here in the UK I would be fucked if I went for a 5/10, I wouldn't find them sexually appealing. They have to be at least a 7 but ideally an 8+ for the attraction to remain for longer.

This happened to me when I was quite young, got a physics nerd who also liked anime. Quite literally admitted to rating her higher at the time, though her looks are like mustard. Some would be into it, others not so much.

Nah you have to rate them own your own scale, if you rated someone 5/10 you are saying they are average. Like you would find 50% of the population as or more attractive. Kinda low ambitions being satisfied with 5's, but if that's your lane your right not to complain.

Me and my friends believe that British girls are pretty ugly compared to other countries. This comes from our experience going to university interacting with Europeans, having European friends through high school and visiting European countries myself. For example the average girl 5-6 in Berlin would pass for a 7 in the UK. I remember feeling dissatisfied with British girls after coming back from Germany.

I would be curious to know what the guy was like, but I would be wary of him from the start. It's even worse that she's a university student, which means she'll remain a child for another 3-4 years getting her degree. Honestly 18 y/o girl 28 y/o guy, not great. 25 y/o girl 35 y/o guy no one would complain.

A side tangent of what the question the OP asked. Something that urks me is when people bring up women are not respected as much as men in the work place, while in part this may be true, it's also a shallow analysis of the situation. 1) Workplace interactions consist of more than just respect! There are many desirable and undesirable factors on display when it comes to an interaction. You are right that confidence is not a good evaluation of a man's value past being a quick and easy discriminator, that can easily be bypassed due to it's simplistic nature. I believe there are two categories of factors that enhance a person's value. 1) personality and character 2) External factors. Personality and character is something that is typically optimised for (you are going to want to be with someone you get along with the most, and enjoy being around etc.) Where as external factors present themselves more as a threshold rather than something to optimise for, also they are different for men and women. My idea for the marriage contract is like a prenup on steroids, and I think they should be the default and you have to opt out of them. I think when the terms are laid out clearly before hand, it may provide more stability as you know exactly what you are going to lose before the divorce occurs. I mean it's how every other contract works, mortgage, car loan etc

From my perspective marriage is set up in a backwards ass fashion, and the courts have too much power and sway in how they are dissolved. Whether this improves dissolution or not I don't know because I haven't looked into it, however there is a better solution that would improve marriages overall. I think that at least one month before people get legally married, they should sign a marriage contract that can include many things a limited prenup fails to. I will say this on a whim, though I believe the best way to drop your baggage and leave your past behind is to move your mindset into a place it's never been before. You need some overarching narrative, grand scheme that you need to commit your life to. There is a demographic of young men that might work out for you. I don't know where you would find them though. Young men that were raised up in religious homes that turn their back on it often end up being the types to still take some of their upbringing along with them. I fall into this category and I am probably the only voluntary celebrate I know. I would imagine there would be others like me that followed this lift style and continue to do so even after renouncing their religion just becaus…

Yh and for some reason I don't think your average person has the ability or energy to really get their head around simple reasoning because of the maths/scientific barrier. The amount of people who don't understand basic statistics and scientific methods really makes explaining why the things like the wage gap doesn't exist impossible. Even though any honest educated person who looked into it wouldn't be able to refute it.

Wasn't marriage also made to protect women? Or am I missing something? If a man and women don't get married then men could tie a women down by having kids and skip town without having to do anything for her! I don't even understand a lot of what feminists say, I need to do more reading to fix my ignorance on the topic.

Yep, the asymmetry is not healthy for our society. I think I read somewhere that men and women are less happy now than before, even with the crazy advances in well-being that's taken place. This could be a huge contributor.

I assumed they were kicked out when they tried to bring up issues about men. In fact the organised faction (arguably the most important part) make a habit of kicking out anyone who would be critical of their internal views. Even Cassie Jaye was kicked out, I'm not surprised that MRA grew out of it. If feminism really is for both genders, why are they kicking men out disproportionately?

Don't shoe horn me in with the red pill, would it be OK if we just talked calmly and rationally. If he alone succeeded without investment & security from your mum then she isn't entitled to anything, however I would argue it's a decent human thing to share some wealth with someone who you once bound yourself to. Your case does not meet this criteria because he was only able to start the business with the safety net of your mum bailing him out, which means she enabled him to do what he would not …

I do not doubt there is one side that is worse off, but I'm not going to give my view on it because it's not important. All group identities should lay down arms and come together to actually find objective provable causes to problems, and countermeasures and solutions to said problems without playing the blame game. …

Ultimately as you are getting to the age that you have full control over the story of your life, you have to learn to guard that authoring with everything you have. 20's are the make and break years so just going with the flow of things instead of actively creating your reality is far from ideal. Where do I begin, easiest way to condense it would be to follow people advise like Jordan Peterson, he has helped so many young men. As a man you will have problems, no one will help you with them apart from your muma and a few other close people if you have them. It's a negative of being a man, but also a positive on the flip side. A powerful man is someone who has sorted their own shit out, meaning he can then take on the burden of others that mean dear to him. This is super attractive to men,…

Interesting point, you also caught onto how people overestimate what feminism have actually done. In my estimation feminism has accomplished virtually no good that wouldn't have arisen without it. The one issue I have with critique on feminism is that feminists are not even a homogenised group themselves. I just assumed that charisma, emotional stability, altruism were bundled in together with social stature, as these are things that are used in social situations. Because there are two ways to feel superior to someone. Either work on yourself to surpass someone or wait till they sink beneath you. Women at best can maintain their attractiveness over time but can pretty much never increase it, while men can do so pretty much till their dead in extreme circumstances. One huge difference between men and women is testosterone for men actually makes them more protective when not in a combative situation requiring aggression. However champions can often move up a class or two by gaining muscle if they want a greater challenge, like Khabib could potentially do for example. Muscles just contract as someone else said, your brain actually controls your strength!

My first test bench after only a few sessions of practising the technique would be good enough to get me into the Women's IPF classics world championship of the 84Kg weight class which is still 9 Kg heavier than I was at the time. However women can build pretty big legs, there is much less of a disparity in lower body stren…

Climbing builds a decent amount of muscle, it definitely has the stimulus to do so, also they would develop great forearms and grip strength. However I don't think women intrinsically have the same appetite as men, pretty sure a well adjusted man or women has the appetite to satisfy their energy expenditure. Problem is most people are no longer well adjusted due to sedentary lift styles and calorie dense foods. I love to eat like a hippo, I could easily eat 5000 Kcals in a sitting. However by wi…

I would say that my genetics are pretty damn awesome, yet I was still pretty skinny fat in the upper body region (with exception of biceps). Though after 3 months of gym shirts that were loose on me are now tight as hell. Regardless of genetics, a sedentary lifestyle will leave almost every man looking unfit.

Even people like me who respond to resistance training really well can attest to how by default I was pretty much just skinny fat with a little upper body muscle. You have to do some form of resistance training to have meh looking physique and a lot to have a good one.

One thing to note is that most athletes just want to get stronger and powerful without building mass, as extra mass is not good for their sport. You can actually get these genetically gifted athletes to be a bit bigger but it will affect their performance. As long as you have average genetics you can get reasonably big with a lot of smart and disciplined training. Unfortunately I think a lot of people don't reach their potential at the gym because they don't know what the fuck they are doing.

Funnily enough a I came across a post of a Lecturer at a university that made his students come to at least one hour of office times a quarter, he found out that those who looked like they had it together often were the ones to break down and state their loneliness. Whether or not you want to believe, but I think a lot of people would struggle if they were given the following task. Go out and make a friend/SO that is not a friend of a friend, or belong to any groups/workplaces you belong to.

Trust me most people struggle with one thing or another that is basic to most people, however depending on what it is will determine how much if at all you may have to suffer for it. Not saying we should give socially inept people a free pass, but a healthy understanding of their weaknesses can go a long way to ensure you can be a positive influence to helping them improve.

"breast size" is far from a dumb metric for long term sexual attraction, it's basic biology. Firstly I think it's true that being initially charming/flirting is not the best metric on determining whether someone would bring value to a relationship, it does somehow appear to have some pragmatic value. Just as a man will first filter out the millions of women he can approach first by appearance, and then hope they have a personality to match. Women can do the same when it comes to confidence and charm, and then hope they have a personality to match. So a woman who get's approached a lot c…

From a psychological analysis there is a little bit of depth to my answer. Firstly when we talk about the meta-physical man versus woman, society has bent it's views for the worse. Where as the meta-physical female aspect gets attributed with the benevolent mother and does away with the devouring mother. Maybe it's different here in the UK though I have never come across this concept of a pure "natural" as you put it. Naturals are typically just people who catch onto something at a young age through some disposition, and use that edge to accelerate the gap between them and others during development. The bitterness is only one motivation to take people down the PUA path, other paths will not make bitter subpar sausage, though can lead to other types of subpar sausage.

Let's dissect your post. The number of men who are loyal, loving, supportive, and who want to put in the effort to build something substantial are LOW. Lets assume that this is true. Right, so emotions and gut reactions are a subset of instinct but are also the same. I can't see any credible literature that would back up the claim that gut reactions are the same as emotions. I have never been a fan of actual abortions, though I do think that it is possibly the lesser of two evils. Excluding extreme cases, a significant amount of people who get abortions would make unsuitable parents at that point in time. This will only dramatically increase the amount of unsuitable children raised up and hence increase the amount of unsuitable people in society as a whole. "Financial Status had no influence in the number of secual partners" While that may be true for this study, it would be scientifically idiotic to come a conclusion it doesn't influence attractiveness. Infact a study showed women don't just look at financial status, they look at a man potential to earn. So a broke as man working for a startup is going to be more attractive than a guy who won the lottery. The problem is it really depends on the woman, because it takes more intelligent women to vie…

Middle class people are not paycheck-to-paycheck by definition, you must be lower class. If you each earn $30K+ and you are living from paycheck-to-paycheck you are doing something horribly wrong. I myself am the lowest of low as I have just graduated and am current jobless.

Honestly we are biologically wired to have men as the more disposable sex. When we used to live in the trees/caves/plains for millions of years it became clear that clans that protected the women survived, those that did not were exterminated. One man can impregnate several women, while one women can only birth one child or rarely more at a time. A Colony can survive with one man, but would die with one women. Though the problem men face today is different in nature to what it was before. The Fe…

1) Sweet 2) I am also british and am a fan of socialised healthcare up to a certain point. I think it beautiful how we can all pool in together to fight cancer and many other diseases together. Although I am not a fan of how encompassing our healthcare is. Health issues we have little control over are fair game to be socialised, but people making questionable decisions should not have their consequences burden our NHS. It is irresponsible and disgusting to see people abuse our NHS and Tax Payers…

1) You do not want equality of outcome, that is communism. I think you meant equality of opportunity. And it's refreshing to hear someone understand that the majority of men are in the same boat as women in their powerlessness. 2) Fair enough haha, who can disagree with that premise. Though not sure what anyone can do about that but to become more accepting as a whole, the law already protects them. 3) Another fair point. 1) I am not sure you would like this point in practice. People get payed via negotiation and performance. I would know because I have recently signed a contract on the matter. If everyone knows how much each person is making, then infighting becomes a huge issue. 1) The important question is, do you think it should be free (i.e. other people pay for it). Also "universal" healthcare is a universal issue, so that point doesn't count. I come from a country with universal and socialised healthcare and everyone fights for and against it irrespective of identity. 2) We already have laws in place and rights extended to combat arbitrary discrimination. Thanks for the response 1) Arbitrary discrimination is already illegal, which would protect against issues like these. Well might as well call the MRA back home if they were fighting an unwinnable battle. I don't think it's possible to achieve on one swoop, but over time bit by bit. Advanced warning sorry if TLDR :D As I managed to talk with more people on here, and something came across my mind. No one claimed that I could write a book on the educational system based of my knowledge of physics, that fact I understand physics etc is mostly irrelevant. I am doing this because I believe I have the ideas that will be of benefit to certain people. I am glad you aren't God, so you can't honestly believe you know my book will be of no worth without even reading it. You can make an educated guess that no one would read it, that's understandable. Finally we are talking about something of substance. Yes, that would be the logical conclusion because most TRP don't think women are oppressed now nor do many of them think women were oppressed 50 years ago. Well to begin with TRP didn't exist 50 years ago... So you are making the assumption that just because they have these views now, they would then in turn have also had those views if they were around 50 years ago. You do realise that in Engineering we have to write extensive reports right. The fact you are communicating with me right now means we are exchanging ideas just fine, in which I can do to a much higher degree when I take my time. While I can't compete with an English major, it's not like I am illiterate. Wow I'm trying to be positive here, why are you so negative? Anyway, my writing does improve quite a lot when I take my time with it. Also it's a non-fictional book, so good ideas can still be taken away from it with mediocre writing. I'm not trying to be J. K. Rowling :D

Feminism used to be great, when it had major things to fight for. Now it's gone down a road that isn't healthy for Men or Women (in the UK/US), though this is up for debate. Reason why I am saying it does harm is because you have women thinking they are still oppressed and they influence impressionable minds into thinking the same. like I have female flatmates who are sweet people, but still think Men suck (they explicitly said it), which makes a slight difference in how they interact with life.…

1) Yes, it's hard but still worth thinking about. 2) Yes of course, I like my female flatmates, but they are feminists. If anything they are just misguided, which is perfectly reasonable. At the end of the day when you have conflicting views thrown your way, it's really hard to chose what you believe in. Humans are intrinsically grounded in ignorance to begin with. I think people forget that humans are animals that weren't always the apex predator. We were eaten by snakes and cougars a long time ago. Since Men were stronger they had to fight, hunt and protect as they would be less disadvantaged compared to a Woman. Also 1 man can make 1000 babies, where as Women would do well to have 10+. Meaning it made sense to protect Women as your clan can survive with 1 man, 100 Women, but die with 100 Men, 1 Woman. Since Men went out, as time passed Men innovated to …

Thanks for the detailed response, I'll do my best to respond in kind. 1) A system is often just as strong as it's weakest point of failure, even if the MRAs are cherrypicking, that still means there are men getting screwed. Part of the reason for this is that you get a lot, of Women/Men call themselves a feminist even though they don't know what feminism stands for. If you could hypothetically sit down each person and interviewed them on their beliefs than you I reckon most would not bare class as a feminist. The issue is that you won't seek to oppose a group your ignorantly part of, even if you oppose their views (fanboyism). Yes They are hypothetical changes, which is tantamount to a wish. I am not naive in thinking this is something you can stand up and solve just like that, but I am curious what peoples views were on what could happen and how. You don't need universal agreement on laws, laws were never formed democratically to begin with. Just needs reformation at court level, Supreme Court I think in the US right. I never said it was easy, I wanted people to just speak their thoughts. I enjoy hypothetical challenges, even when near impossible. Feminism isn't strictly politics and neither is bias an ethical system. I mean theoretical physics is not simple, but people still try. That's all I am saying.

Well if you would be considered ugly to the entire opposite sex, it's a no brainer. As a Man you can fall back on personality + Success. As a Woman you can only fall back on your personality, men don't really care about money as much as Women do (Hypergamy).
