I dunno maybe it's confirmation bias on my part, but currently (post-Uni) I have next to zero female friends. A few male ones who I hang out and game with. I notice when I'm out and about or partying, that groups of girls will often have one or a few male friends - almost ALWAYS GAY or complete "soyboy" type white guys. These guys will often act as cockblockers for these girls too, because a big group including dudes is always more intimidating to cold approach. These women, fed by constant propaganda, seem to think (probably rightfully) that hanging out with gay or weak, passive men is safer than sexually aggressive straight guys. So can men and women ever just be friends? What do u mean by find women within a social circle if you don't have any?
