I have moderate to severe hearing loss, so when this happens, I just say I'm deaf or make up some signs and talk to them in ASL. I do know sign language, but not enough for a conversation.

I'm romantically attracted to both genders, women preferably. I have zero sexual attraction to either, but if it makes them happy (let's say they have a normal sexual libido), I wouldn't mind having sex with them, would I enjoy it? No.

Sorry I was tired when I made that post, I'll clarify. I applied to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bookkeeping. Majority of the positions on Indeed when I searched for "bookkeeping" were sandwiched into an Accounts P/R role. So I'd apply to those, go on my interviews, and then I'd be denied because I didn't have an Associates in Accounting nor a certification. They will tell me to re-apply later when I finish my classes. The problem was, the remaining classes I had before finishing t…

I was going for my associates in Accounting to be a bookkeeper. My husband forced me to drop out my last semester, two kids later, and my bookkeeping knowledge is 7 years outdated. I'm glad that there are certification programs. It used to be that I needed a degree in bookkeeping, I actually got denied jobs because I didn't have that associates. But this was in 2014, I'm sure things changed since.

EXACTLY what my husband said. "I grew up with my parents beating me and yelling at me". 'But did you like it? No? Then why do it to our kids?' Him: "because I don't know any better, that's all I know!" 'Not a ducking excuse!' It really isn't. My own father used to belt me until I bled, he used to threaten that he will sell me into slavery if I didn't listen to him. He said all sorts of crap to me. Not once did I repeat what my father did to me, to my own children. In fact, I'm so terrified about…

Here's the thing though; with covid19, domestic violence shelters being full, no familial support, daycare and schools that are closed.... it's hard to get out. I have several thousand dollars but still homeless because covid19 affected my job and I cannot get an apartment. DV shelters are all full, I cannot do my job unless both kids are being watched over. Are you talking about my step aunt? She was a phlebotamist, her boyfriend was a musician. She retired when she turned 65, her boyfriend was still a no named musician, excuse me, he was only popular in Central American countries. Sex addiction is actually real. However, it's born through trauma or severe neglect of sorts. 90% of the so called sex addiction cases you hear about in media or online, is actually the seggs addiction/porn sickness.

Thank you!!! It irritates me that people don't take it seriously. My brother has been suffering for a decade plus, he wouldn't wish it on anyone. It almost destroyed his marriage, and other relationships (family and friends). He now, literally, has to live with NO INTERNET in his house, as part of a detoxing program. He's been internet free for 3+ years now. My SIL is a psychologist that specializes in family therapy and sex addiction as well (she actually base her career on his affliction so sh…

My brother has it. We were both covertly sexually abused as kids and had our needs neglected. He went towards sex addiction, and I went towards sex repulsion/asexual. Same childhood, two extreme opposite paths. Funny. He is in therapy to get his sex addiction lower, and I've been suggested therapy to increase my libido lol. We used to both wish we traded our affliction and meet somewhere in the middle so we're normal like everyone else, and our spouses would stop suffering. I don't know about hi…

Not trying to catch you, just telling OP that if she did end up with a LVM and bore his children, she DOES have options to escape the relationship, and never have to see her ex. Also, great fathers and LVM do not go hand in hand. For one to have the QUALITIES of a great father, that man must be MVM or above. No LVM in existence is a great father. You think just because it happens to his wife, the children are okay with it? Children are way more perceptive, just because Dad doesn't hit them or ca…

"you can't get away from them" and "often" are two different things. You're implying you literally cannot leave in one sentence, and the next, to your reply to me, you mention that it IS possible to gain full custody of your children if the child's father doesn't want to be in the picture. However, legally speaking, there are other ways you can get full custody. The child's father could do something illegal, the child's father ends up (mistakingly) showing the judge that he is an unfit parent, t…

Oh really? Then pray tell why there are single mothers out there with zero contact with their ex? OP don't listen to her. You absolutely CAN get away from an ex spouse with your children. Many women have done so. SuccessfulAppeal is making it sound like if you have kids with a LVM, you're permanently stuck with him and you should give up 🙄

Not really. I'm a mother to two sons. With the advent of modern medicine, I didn't have to worry much about childbirth. Plus, my sons are raised with my values, not a LVM's values.

The book is not dismissing them. It's dismissing the type of abuse suffered by men by women. The abuse against women are much worse than abuse against men. According to later passages of the book, when men talk about their abuse, they exaggerate. 67% would raise their hands stating their wives were just as abusive, but when told they'd have to answer the same questions but this time with a LIE DETECTOR TEST, only 29% of them kept their hands up. Meanwhile, the majority of the women who were abus…

Careful about making assumptions about women. It could be just as innocent as they have joint bank accounts, and the husband always pays, so now the woman wants to. If my husband paid for everything, I'd be annoyed because as an adult, I'd also want to pay for purchases for the family.

You know what's weird? From sizes 42 DDD/F to 38DD/D, I had no back pain. The moment I went to 36D/CCC and below...maybe to 34D, I had tons of back pain! Maybe the extra fat around my midsection helps mitigate the back pain, because I find it odd that the closer I got to a healthy weight and my boobs shrank, the more my back started to hurt.

I don't understand why you would block social media. Just block and delete anyone that you didn't like. I have my Facebook account, my friend list only has family members and my best friend, and a few old high school classmates. Anyone that gets on my nerves, I block and delete. In the case of family I see in person, I just remove them from my notifications so I don't see their posts. No big deal.

The first picture is Eve. She's the Queen of the Nasods (Nasods are robots, who long ago tried to decimate humanity), her outfit is because her class is Code: Electra. She has no emotions, and her main schtick is that she slaps Elsword all the time whenever he gets too close, and that her character color is Pink. She's a game character from Elsword Online. The most of the characters on Elsword Online starts off 13, and by the time you're level 100 with all the class changes you're 18 years old. …

The first one is called Eve, but her actual class is Code: Electra from the game Elsword Online. She's supposed to be an emotional robot, called the Queen of the Nasods (Nasods are robots, and she's literally a queen). She's constantly slapping Elsword in the face, if he gets too close. Honestly, I never played her character, on paper she sounds cool but her attacks are clunky and her main color is Pink. This is her picture, she's expressionless. I LOVE Toni. She has standards and never lowered it. She fell in love and compromised her standards because of a hidden LVM masquerading as HV. I'm like the queen of saying offensive shit and dark jokes. The thing is, I can handle brutal honesty. If someone says they are hurt by my words, I'll apologize. But if you tell a man that you are hurt, they'll get offended, gas light you, and say you're too sensitive. Women like me can dish out brutal honesty and take it, but LV men are usually fragile, they'd rather dish it out instead of taking it.

Here's the difference between men and women on the flip side. When women take in men and teach them how to do household chores, men never do their half of the chores. When men take in women and teach them how to do household chores (I knew nothing, my husband taught me), women ALWAYS end up taking over the household chores, even when men know how to do it. My husband used to say he didn't want to marry me if I was lazy with the household chores. He took time to teach me the basics. I went into t…

What constitutes a big city nowadays? Suburbs now have 200k+ people. Even someone from Dayton, or toledo, oh can make that much. It's called hustling and working 60 hours a week. I've seen a GH driver make $100k a year in NYC and CA, I've seen a DD make $65,000 a year in Mesa, AZ and San Antonio, TX etc. You need to know your market, you need to put in the hours. I've seen people on gig apps constantly showing their $1300+/week paychecks, they hustled and do it full-time. If you know what you're doing and work full time, there's no excuses for you to be poor.

Western society in general seem to take for granted, especially women. My family is from Eastern Europe. They lived in poverty for years, under communism, experienced two different genocides, poor Healthcare, and 2nd world country standards. I'm a Caucasian woman, and it's not much but I've been consuming black shows lately, even the ones from the 90s. A lot of the issues they brought up on, the covert racism the characters felt, i was pretty shocked. It took a few episodes to get used to the fact that there are barely any white characters on there, then i realized that's how blacks see the world. A world of mostly white media, and barely anything to relate to. It's very refreshing, and the black women in the shows are usually queen…

Lol, I wish divorce wasn't too expensive. My husband has zero assets. Thanks to him, we lived in poverty barely making more than $25,000/year for several years. He had the gall to tell me last year, "ok it's your turn". Like, "it's your turn to get a career and provide for everyone, because I clearly failed at it. " In one year, I did WAY MORE than him lol. You're right. My husband and i had red flags from the beginning, but they were fixable, and we both had history of making good on our promise to improve, by turning the red flag into green. However, shortly after our first son was born, I leveled up and husband stopped trying. He declined rapidly into LVM territory. I hate it when guys say they are sex addicts. No, no they aren't. A true sex addict doesn't go to a hooker, and goes "my bad". Worse case scenario is I don't leave my marriage until next fall due to finances, by that I mean if my LVM husband got a job in the next 6 weeks, he'll cover most of the bills, allowing me to save as much as possible so I'll be very financially ready to leave. I don't feel sexual attraction to anyone, my husband knew that I was ace from day 1. He still begged and pleaded for me to have sex, and after the 6th or even 15th, "No", I got frustrated and gave in so he can satisfy his limp dick…

I find it really sad that the guy doesn't know how to surprise his wife. Does he not have a separate bank account? Does he not know how to install the trampoline in his house while she sleeps, or is out of the house at work? He's putting zero effort here, he'd rather get internet strangers to help him. If he's married to her, he should know by now how to surprise her.

Nope. Abusive husbands are always ZVM. They bring ZERO VALUE to your life, because no amount of abuse is worth the niceties.

Nah sis. I want another baby, a girl this time. But another poster is right, I don't need a man to do that, i can just go to a sperm bank or adopt. I'm done having kids with LVM.

It's not only credit cards, it's also debit cards! Ugh. Cash is the only anonymous option here.

8 years of marriage here, and husband strangled me last year. He slapped my face afterwards and said he wish he had killed me when he had the chance. Ofcourse the "chance" he was talking about was waaaaaay back in 2008, when I was extremely depressed, attempted suicide for weeks because of the abuse I went through with my parents, and I begged him (he was my fiancé then) to kill me to make the pain stop. He couldn't do it then and he was crying because I asked him to kill me. Last year's attempt…

Same, I'm leaving my STBXH. But I have 2 sons, they are still in their toddler years. If I ever feel lonely, I can just hug them and give them a kiss on the cheek, while hearing them call me the best mama in the 🌎, and seeing their adorable smiles. A child's love is so pure and wholesome, who needs men? Their love always come with strings attached

He is only limited in his impairments if he lets it. He worked as a bar manager despite his impairments, I have the same ones he does, except he got his disabilities through the military, while i was born with them. He is NOT disabled in the traditional sense, he didn't have difficulty in school or maintaining friendships because of his impairments, since he didn't have any at the time. Ergo, despite his current disabilities, he is still more than capable of getting and keeping a job in this mar…

He is NOT high value, period. I was born deaf in both ears. I have moderate to severe hearing loss, mostly severe than moderate, but I digress. I am considered legally blind in one eye, with the other eye being 100/20. I needed glasses to drive, but now I need it for anything that's more than 3 feet away lol. Despite this, I've worked in 3 call centers, worked at a library, worked at a fast food place, became a security guard for 2 different companies, worked at a warehouse, and currently I do g…

I'm legally blind in one eye, and deaf in both ears. I have 2 gig jobs that I'm using to pay for bills and my way through college eventually. This "HVM" has no excuse. I am not even eligible for SSI because I'm married, and I got denied twice, so I don't have the cushion he does -- however, I've worked in call centers, libraries, done security, and deliver food..... He has no excuse for his unemployed ass, none.

6 goes on about an 8 digit code, isn't it supposed to be 9 digit? Anyway, I messaged the Moderators, but I'll ask again here. I'm using the mobile reddit app, but the link to the handbook isn't working, nor are some of the links in the FAQ/About Us page. Is this intentional? I signed up thinking I needed to be a member to read the handbook. Is the link's availability member only, or is it because of reddit's mobile app?

I agree. I dropped out of computer networking because of the sexism and accusations that I'm not smart enough, 10 years and 2 kids later, I'm going to take another chance at it, this time doing data management and analytics.

I completely agree with this. My father was married 7 times, my mother was his 3rd wife. Yet, other women didn't care and continued to date him. Granted, he always prayed on vulnerable women, especially from his home country who was desperate to come to America. But if a woman mentions she was married 7 times, she'd be vilified. Heck, my own mother didn't want to divorce my abusive stepfather because she didn't want to admit to 2 failed marriages.

I think it should be. It has something to do about childhood trauma and lack of nurture. My brother has sex addiction, he's been in therapy for years and is trying daily to be the HVM my SIL deserves. My SIL isn't a pickme either, she kicked him out because he kissed another girl. He was only allowed back after 3 months away, because he went to therapy several times a week, cut off the internet entirely (they have no internet at their house) even from his phone, cut off all contact of female fri…

Same here!!! I'm ace but a hopeless romantic, I want a relationship someday on my terms, no sex needed. I love everything about FDS, it's like they are my spirit animal lol.

I'm confused with this, if your dad was a HVM, why did your mother leave him?

Hahaha no, just no, if I were in her shoes, I would've started divorce proceedings the moment he mentioned that I wasn't being a supportive wife and he wants this job. She makes $200k and is in a specific field, where she can get to the millions in a few years .... he would make only $65k. He doesn't realize how lucky he was with that arrangement, she even offered to pay for more college for him! Men like that are so stupid, it's not even funny. I'm glad she woke up and filed for divorce.
