Anyway I'm sitting on the fence. Thankfully there's no hurry but that's something I'll have to think thoroughly for the next few months. I did this to someone and I regret it VERY MUCH. I was with him for 11 years and I strung him along acting like we would get married one day and then I left. Do not do this, do not hurt someone you love. Not only does it make you look bad to others, but you will feel guilty that you caused so much pain to someone who was your best friend.

It's not danger, it's that women are more coddled than ever. Maybe one reason this time in history is so safe is that people ARE more cautious.

Having been a grade school teacher, wrong. Being soft and feminine is the exact OPPOSITE of being a good teacher. In order to control a classroom full of kids you have to be strong and tough and frankly, a battle axe.

Not gonna argue with her being a shrew, that is the point. He loved him some shrew. But she did not go through "several men" she had two dead husbands and some kids she ignored. She cut Rhett off because she did not want another baby, mostly due to weight gain. Oh she eventually figures that Ashley is more or less a character she made up in her head and not the real person she knows, but too late. Scarlett blew it.

Rhett was always just what Scarlett needed, and as I recall from reading this book she was a terrible person who treated others like characters in a dream. When the book finally ends she is in her mid twenties and so one hopes Scarlett matured into a decent person later on, but character is destiny. As to the RP truths in Gone with the Wind, sure they work for Scarlett. I have no doubt that Margaret Mitchell meant every word of it, and may have been a bit like Scarlett herself. But if memory ser…

You summed up my feelings exactly. The way I feel about my SO is beyond anything money could buy, worth more than a king's ransom. But it's all the same to teenagers, don't you see? They are kids. They goof around. Do you realize how many teenage boys have homosexual relations when they are young but never again as adults? When did I say all my ideas of fun were about sex? I clearly stated beer and cigarettes and other forms of teenage mischief. I did not have sex in high school, but there was plenty of rebellion and exploration and fun. Yes I went to public school. We had so many pranks and inside jokes and wacky stories and that is what kids do when they are approaching adulthood. It's about growing up and learning to fly...you can't be tied to mom's apron strings forever. So we all tried the limits of the scary…

It's like no one can argue what makes one person happy- I need tall trees and mountains. I hate living someplace flat. I hate lack of shade. Wherever I live I find myself wishing for pine trees and hills. I feel so happy just being in a canyon. It's something wired into my brain that I cannot fake. You may have that same feeling about different things. Maybe it's climate or scenery or just the way people behave in the PNW. It jives with you.

I know a lot of these men in RL. Soooo many poor bachelors and a few gay men, all living in bachelor pads with other dudes. The gays ones live together with their own kind and throw amazing parties, and the straights live in much grimier houses and eat pizza. For some reason that eludes me, the gays are much happier. This is a really great point and mirrors my own experience with being childfree. All the guys I dated wanted at least two kids, and I wanted none. Men on TRP are seeing that women don't love them nor appreciate them in the way they appreciate women. So they want to return the favor. I was with you until this last claim. It's not lack of love, it's anger at what the male imperative demands despite the male imperative's hypocrisy in creating all those high N women in the first place. Women want to love and be loved and be in one big love story romance. Generally speaking.

I had two very bossy and dominant grandmothers who ruled their respective roosts. They most definitely did not want a man to put them in their place and would have shown him the door. I had strong and bossy female friends who were the exact same way. For the record, I am naturally submissive and sweet (not like you can tell from my Reddit comments but...) thus I attract dominant people to be both friends and boyfriends. Having seen the issue from both sides I made a personal study of it and foun…

I know it is anathema here to bring this up, but people pair off based on their psychological damage and not because someone is alpha. Men with abusive moms pick crazy women to marry. Girls with cold unloving fathers tend to repeat that too. People fall in love based on illogical childhood issues and natural temperament. Some women are so bossy by nature that they must marry submissive men, and vice versa. Give that marriage is made up of people and people are inherently damaged, how could we ex…

The problem with stereotypes is not that they are never true, but you will apply them too broadly and write off a man who does not deserve it. If you categorize women it's there too. AWALT and AMALT are insulting because you do not fit them and neither does your cohort, who may be getting unfairly treated.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/19 04:44 PM

You brought it up! I said married couples, not "happy" marrieds. Married couples who are happy and go the distance are sadly quite rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/19 04:40 PM

No, I do not group men. I have male friends and relatives and no one is a cartoon. My SO is completely different from my gay friends, and my dad is noting like my co-workers. Men are individuals. they may have a male nature but it's not Beta or Alpha in most cases.

See, I wonder if that played out in RL how it would end for men. All hookups and no LTR of any kind, decade after decade, no kids either. Men would be so damn lonely and no one would care. No one would drive him to the hospital. No one would even notice when he died on the toilet. No LTR means NO ONE...except possible roommates. You can change your standards like you change your clothing. As long as this is attainable, no one cares. Dude, I am pointing out that AFBB is nonsense. If you understood that it is NOT part of women's nature or "just what women do" then we are making headway here.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/19 05:03 AM
1

It’s just what women do. I would rather live my entire life as a spinster than marry someone for their money.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/19 05:00 AM

Once I understood that poor people do not magically heal themselves like elves, Obamacare only made sense.

It will get ironed out in time.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/19 04:57 AM

There were a lot of great comments in the thread, and they explain it all for you. But TRPs eep trying to shoehorn the AFBB narrative onto people who are just living their own lives and not using anyone for "bux" or anything nefarious.

The states that do not have the Medicaid expansion are just asking for problems. What do poor people do when they have a medical emergency or a trip to the ER? The hospital just has to eat the cost. Everyone pays for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/19 04:43 AM
1

Although I have never cheated on taxes I have most definitely lied to get medical insurance when I was unemployed. You had to, because of "pre existing conditions" no one could get insurance without a boss bestowing it. I had enough money to burn but the insurance companies did not want me. So I lied. Bingo! Then I could be myself again and not worry about a trip to the ER. This is why we have Obamacare now.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/19 04:41 AM

Yeah, am trying to picture the sequence of events that led to the homeless man sitting his own filth and "ex wife" is the last thing I would imagine.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/19 04:37 AM

OK, I am right there with you pal. Weddings are a scam and no one needs to spend that much money on a party. Courthouse or nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/19 04:21 AM

The couples I knew who refused to get married even though they had kids? Did it for Medicaid benefits. Marriage would have ended that.

This should be the top comment. They want to have It All and give nothing in return, which is why they are at the bottom tier. Any woman stupid enough to play along with this fantasy will end up a single mom, which is the Greatest Evil to these same men. Irony. And then they would refuse to chuck money at the kid's well being cuz "Cash n Prizes" and all that conspiracy crap.

I have been kicked in the teeth more times in life than most of these male posters here and have seen more cruelty of humans to other humans than I like. I advocate for the downtrodden and I have walked the walk...it makes me angry and I turn that anger into helping people. Unlike the "anger phase" dudes who just become wretches on Reddit, I used my free time to better this sad world. Brag brag brag, but it's true and that no one believes anyone who claims this is just invalidating. I can pop up…

Just to be clear, I do not make these lists because I know that looks will trump literally every other thing. I need a hottie and all other factors can be forgiven, as he must forgive my own eccentric ways. If I were to make a proper list of qualifications my friends would laugh at me for rating someone who is none of the but super duper cute.

I just assumed all those pregnancies were accidents and not what she wanted, but she figured Oh Well and kept the baby. A lot of people don't care about illegitimacy anymore so no one will shame her and she is not doing it to get welfare.

Years ago I had a real problem with envy, but I got over it. It made me too unhappy (desire is the root of suffering) so I killed it one day in 2011. After that I accepted my life with its limitations and developed a zen-like attitude about not getting things I want. Eventually I DID get what I wanted despite this, and the joy was beyond expectations. If you have no expectations, you will not be disappointed. Zen.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/19 04:01 PM

OK, that makes it less babylike and I can dig it. I was picturing a grown woman acting like a little girl and it was pukey but the way you lay it out is a lot like me and my SO.

Player types should run from the female imperative and yeah, she should dump him. I would assess the girl and her qualities from a woman's perspective and give her the straight truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/19 01:53 AM

But I would take a good hard look at him, at her, and advise accordingly. Gotta be brutal.

See, a woman would have better advice for that scenario.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/19 01:37 AM

Depends which men you ask. A brother or gay male friend will give you advice that will help you as a woman. Usually a straight man who is not family will give you bias towards his team. An older man like a counselor might give solid tips on how to avoid getting used, but it will be trad con advice on how to be a "lady" and not too fast.

My first relationship when I was 15 left a very deep hole in my heart, if that is what you mean. We were all virgins in high school and I could not get over him until he graduated. It was killing me just to see him walk the halls with his new girl. That is how things went, and after he went to college I moved on and fell in love with someone else. It did not set any precedent.

My SO has children already grown and out of the house. This is not a problem for me one bit, and is fully in line with me being childfree. It also makes him appear more responsible as he clearly was a good dad so if I got pregnant that is one less fear. Women can heal better and faster from a heartbreak and they move on after a good cry. It does not diminish the pain they suffered any more than someone healing quickly from a broken arm. Men are not as resilient in this one area, more likely to become despondent and swear off women.

I love the notion of Men Going Their Own Way because people, male or female, should be allowed to choose their own adventures. Freedom! Possibilities! In RL I know a couple men who are completely free of dating and romance and they are happy as clams. What I don't cotton is the MGTOW hatred of women and desire to punish them, and outside of the internet I have only met one guy who was like this and he was a bitter scourge.

The prettier a woman, the more empathy she receives. This one is harmful to women. No, just not true. Women who are pretty often feel down about their looks and have low self esteem. Also her gal pals may be the jealous type who regularly inform her of her flaws and laugh off any show of pride.

Empathy for the opposite sex could mean your heart pours out for everyone in that gender or it could mean that you have deep compassion for certain men YOU KNOW or see on the news. There was a guy on Relationship Advice whose wife was mentally ill and had to be committed against her will. His tale of woe was so sad that everyone sided with him and told he did the right thing. If you seem uptight while being dominant (unless there's a fight about to happen) then you suck at it. This guy was socially dominant but made it seem like he was doing you a favor while doing so, and that you were both good buddies and co-conspirators and that you were one of the few on his wavelength, etc. Classic future politician or conman type. This is solid. When you are talking like a normal relaxed dude you are actually quite articulate. Whoever you are in RL, you likely sound like this.

I have a definite type that I find hot, but other women find my boyfriends either gorgeous or meh. I like dark hair and angular features and big noses, regardless of race. My friends like button noses and blonde hair and rounded features. One gal pal likes "big men" regardless of facial features, which I find terribly unpicky. I do not care about balding or height. Lots of body hair is good but my friends say otherwise. It varies from woman to woman.

If you could just grunt "SEX" at women all the time and get laid, i doubt poetry or shakespeare or literature wouldve been invented. The male vocabulary would consist of that one word and little else. If men were honest, thats all we would ever say to women, I love you for this comment.

Dating apps reveal your SMV for better or for worse. Gotta agree here. I was suffering from low self esteem before I got OLD and discovered that I was an 8. Once that was out of the way, I was able to pick someone I found genuinely hot. OLD changed my whole perspective and I did not have to settle.

How old are they? That makes a huge difference. As I posted, there was no way I could gain weight when I was in college so I looked like a runway model. No effort. Later things slowed down and I had to fight the fat.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/19 04:02 PM
2

What a horrible bunch of comments this morning. A size six is fat now??
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/19 03:47 PM
1

So I'm right.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 07:06 PM
3

The whole topic was pink collared jobs and what that constitutes. You know this.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 06:29 PM
2

LOL oh man, have you ever cleaned a hoarder's house? I sure have.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 05:59 PM
6

Pink collar jobs mean waitress or cleaning woman, bad example.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 05:49 PM
1

I'm also taking appetite suppressant pills that make me jittery as fuck and make it hard to sleep. I did phentermine too. Hated it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 04:19 PM
3

Oh dude, I was so anxious about it. Women are naturally worrywarts and I fretted.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 03:59 PM
10

Women's biggest obstacle is their lower metabolism compared to men. A woman over 30 has a shitty BMR and porks up if she eats more than 1200-1500 calories a day. Men that age can still eat 2000 calories a day and not get fat as long as they work out. Solid truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 03:57 PM
1

When I was in college I couldn't gain weight on a bet. Skinny to the point where a couple friends staged an intervention for my supposed bulimia. Ha! It was just my metabolism and it was awesome. Then after college things slowed down and well, I work out a lot to stay slim. And I did phentermine for awhile. Yikes, avoid that drug.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 03:55 PM
3

It took months to relax and believe he was faithful. Months. But if I had seen false signs of anything I would have investigated it. Thoroughly.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 03:50 PM
3

Absolutely I prefer it but if he is flirting with other girls or there is any hint of infidelity I am gone. Yes it creates insecurity at first but you get past that phase.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 03:25 PM
1

The solution is to raise boys as people and for everyone to think of sex as something that, well, probably won't happen but if it does, well, unless it's really well negotiated with every contingency planned for - you're better off jerking off. Is this such a great idea? De-motivate young boys until the human race dies off?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 03:22 PM
1

Not per se, but I usually imagine boring everyday events to be the lull in a movie before something blows up.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 03:15 PM
2

Just go with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 03:13 PM
2

I think if a woman finds you attractive, she'll assume you have a FB on your phone or there's some other competition. True for my own case. My SO is a Chad and it took me a long time to believe he was not hitting hot women on the side. It also made me feel insecure about my looks and accomplishments.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 03:07 PM
4

Yeah, I would pass on dating a narcissist too.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/19 03:05 PM
1

I'm 5'7, 135 lbs I am slowly getting there....
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/19 06:19 PM
3

Buddy, you just broke the sub rules.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/19 06:10 PM
2

Did you just down vote me?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/19 05:57 PM
1

That's like asking which better describes the modern man: veganism or navel gazing? Gosh, pick one and on't quibble about how irrelevant these choices are.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/19 05:18 PM
5

Narcissism is more prevalent in men, actually. Women are slowly catching up.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/19 04:31 PM
8

They are weirdly happy to point out the suicide stats for men, but not the underlying emotional issues unless of course, to blame us gals for the whole enchilada.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/19 03:58 PM
7

I just watched a video of Patton Oswalt discussing his depression and his love of medication such as Ambien and how hard it hits him sometimes where he stays in his bathrobe all week. Men have just as many emotional problems as women do, but usually treat it with alcohol or something not prescribed. My ex who was bipolar to the hilt treated himself with meth and pot. He lives on disability now. Where is the red pill discussion of this trend?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/19 03:49 PM
1

rolled the fenders I had to look this up on google. Now I get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/19 03:41 PM

I have seen it the other way too.

I am actually laughing now.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 08:30 PM

Now I am really puzzled why this got down voted....
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 08:27 PM

I had all four removed when I was 18. That was a LOT of pureed food for days after.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 08:26 PM
1

Man, I wish we had REAL blue pill feminist users here. They left in disgust last year.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 08:24 PM
4

Been in church my entire life and modern American Christianity is very feminized. This is well known and is why a lot of men get sick of church. My own branch of Protestant Reformationalism is more sexist and masculine but the vast majority are feelings-based and flimsy. So there you have it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 08:23 PM
3

In love.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 08:14 PM

This one speaks the truth. I have seen plenty to back up her claims.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 08:11 PM

Well he was honest about what he wants.

If he were hot, sure. Jobs can change.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 03:14 PM

LOL take your upvote
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 05:00 AM

I have no hard feelings toward you Kapow. There are only a couple guys here who irk me and at the moment I cannot recall their names. Men here have called me all sorts of names (mostly under my old accounts) and it matters not a whit. I have weird feelings of camaraderie with PPD users.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 04:09 AM
3

The Frumpy looking nerdy girl has plenty of guy friends that would date her in a heartbeat if she broke up with her boyfriend. That. is completely true. Have witnessed this over and over and believe me, some of them end up happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 04:03 AM
1

Ah man, I was not the one who reported your comment. The only comments I reported here were ones that literally advised raping someone or being into kids. All the verbal slams I get here are just a relief from daily boredom. Honest.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 04:00 AM
2

So edgy.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 03:57 AM
1

You reallllllllly dig deep to turn that someone’s experience being a “weird outlier” was a personal attack. He's talking about me, Mom!
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 03:55 AM
2

Fair enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 01:34 AM
1

Oh come on. We are not the Borg.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 01:21 AM
1

Why would I say that? I have no problem with people who are nice to me, regardless of looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 01:16 AM
2

Yet somehow all gals rode the cock carousel and did Chad.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 12:45 AM
1

Did you read anything besides that one phrase? The stalker is creepy because he was inappropriately lusting after me and posting his fantasies on his blog for all to read. He commissioned artists to draw porn of me having sex with him. He found out where I lived and mailed weird things to my house. This is a man I NEVER MET who self-described as a sociopath with no friends. Red flags enough to make a May Day soviet parade.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/19 12:43 AM
3

Can you decipher which of the posters here are being honest?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 11:57 PM
1

Female privilege is asking someone to help you? Whoop whoop. So when I am stranded in the desert under a boulder...oh never mind. You are the crankiest today.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 11:56 PM
1

You really do think biology works against men? Try lifting 50 pounds over your head. Being a woman is like being handicapped. If we gals have nay privilege it is in the dating sphere, but that does not cash out to much in the grand scheme.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 11:47 PM
0

It's almost like biology.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 11:40 PM
1

Except how well does that work out for most guys?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 11:33 PM
1

Obviously. No need to.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 11:32 PM
1

The alternative to looking for love is ...?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 11:28 PM
1

I don't "hate" passive men, I just learned my lesson and moved onto better prospects. There was no shortage of good looking men in the world, so off I go.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 11:01 PM
4

Now I am super curious who else is pretending to be the other sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 10:55 PM
1

When did I cry about it? When did I quit and bitch about not getting married? I ended it, I moved on.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 10:54 PM
1

My experience with that whole shebang is you reap what you sow. I feel dumb now that I dated a passive dude who later turned out to be gay. All the signs were there, I was just believing the words instead of the actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 10:48 PM
1

Uh, this whole comment chain was picking apart my story and trying to make me look bad. I defended the truth. As for being a 5 or less, sure go ahead and think that.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 10:42 PM
1

Notice I did not mention it upfront. When you people started to think my boyfriend was "desperate" for pursuing me so hard, it merited an explanation. Thus the brag.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 10:33 PM
3

What was your pretend girl name on here?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 10:30 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 10:28 PM

Not in my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 10:08 PM
1

Why would she need an alt?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 09:48 PM
5

That’s a dangerous game to play if you don’t secure a guy by 30 and lose all leverage in a relationship Lose all leverage? You really think women hit 30 and turn into a pumpkin or something?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 09:44 PM
1

ok, that helps explain things. Thanks.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 09:37 PM
2

I respect your answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 09:23 PM
3

You could see it that way. But in most species the female is the default gender, as we observe in insects and fish. Look to the beehive- all girls. When males are needed that is when males are produced- and for only one function. Not saying humans are like bees but males are not the default gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 09:18 PM
3

Do you think you might have been selecting for the hot mess type of gal?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 09:15 PM
1

I read it as during the gestation.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 09:13 PM
3

No, I have seen you on other subreddits and you are pretty cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 09:12 PM
1

By what logic? No child support. Alimony is rarely ever granted without kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 08:44 PM
1

Did you read my comment? Poor people with NO KIDS.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 08:43 PM
1

I will never understand this. Open relationships are cute if you are not married, but once you take a vow... EDIT spelling
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 08:41 PM
1

I've always been kind of a dick He never seems like a dick before now.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 08:40 PM
1

You do realize it is not a gendered issue, the courts make the partner with more income pay in those non-child-support cases of alimony that let's face it, rarely occur. This is not poor people with no kids getting divorced who are forced to pay up. This is like most divorces where no children resulted.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 08:39 PM
10

Holdup, you were going to divorce your pregnant hormonal wife over a dead bedroom of 8 weeks?? Am I reading that right? And MRP told you to stay?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 08:33 PM
2

The Rationalizing Male.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 08:30 PM
1

Interesting that you should ask that! She did keep paying his bills after the divorce since she felt sorry for him. And she sold nearly every single belonging she had to cover her debts. So even though the government was not forcing her, it came out the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 08:27 PM
1

I get way you are saying but he did way worse than that. She was married to a felon who kept landing in jail and running up the bills.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 08:22 PM
1

No I actually think men who are bitter are people just like all of us gals who had bad things happen in life. Bitterness is a poor reaction to bad luck or circumstances you brought on by poor choices. Either way we have all been stomped and we all survived, the difference is how you react. One friend who had a nasty divorce from a man who drained her bank account was bitter and declared that she hated men. Years later she got over it and is married and happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 06:56 PM
1

Damn...
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 06:51 PM
1

I mean, it does happen and you always hear about the crazy gal who uses men...but in your friend circle? I should hope not.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 06:34 PM
2

I am just witnessing a lot of people or one motivated user getting around the sub format to down vote.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 06:25 PM
1

She said she was setting or acted like he was gross? Or you heard her tell someone she was desperate?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 06:11 PM
1

I just reread it and nah but sorry if it was badly worded.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 06:10 PM
1

I have never once seen a woman settle for a man she was not into. Not saying it never happens but I have yet to hear a woman describe doing this or why she married him as being a bailout.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:43 PM
1

You are assuming he asked outright but he did it more subtly. He gave me his number and said I could call him anytime. I hesitated.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:38 PM
1

Most men find aggressive women off putting. Passive men find it to be a relief from approach anxiety but passive men will never take the lead in anything. Not saying that is you.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:36 PM
1

He listened plenty. It’s hard for me to explain too much without repeating but I never told him I was uninterested or stalling, just that I had bronchitis. He offered to bring me medicine and that was cute.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:33 PM
1

Good point.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:05 PM
1

But how does each man know he is ugly?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:04 PM

You guys must like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 05:03 PM
1

Did you draw that??
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:39 PM
3

Oh look, it happened again here.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:38 PM
1

I inferred it from the mischaracterizations of my comments.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:37 PM
2

I am leaving out a lot of relevant details, but no it was not just his looks. He was posting sexual fantasies about me on his blogs, commissioning artists to draw pornographic pictures of me, getting creepier and creepier with every inappropriate gift he mailed to my house, and the fact he knew where I lived was VERY concerning. I was afraid for my own safety and hiding from my usual activities like hiking since he night be there. This colored my interactions with OLD and made me even WARIER of …
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:36 PM
1

My stalker was a self-described sociopath and had all the markers of one. Despite what TRP reaches about the dark triad being sexy, this stalker was anything but- most broken people who cannot make human connections and live in a fantasy world are not sexy.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:23 PM
1

This got downvoted too. Interesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:21 PM

Of course I asked. The part I left out is just bad manners to mention- I was the prettiest girl on that site. Now tell me I am lying.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:20 PM
1

To be fair, I am quite hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:18 PM

The mind-reading on this one is strong. Also inaccurate.

Am I lying? Show me the lie.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:16 PM

This comment downvoted too. Nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:08 PM
1

But why not take my story at face value? I had bronchitis. All these men on OLD were messaging me and I did not know from their photos which ones were evil.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:07 PM
1

But 80 percent? Doesn't that seem a bit high to you? Maybe it's regional, I live in a sexy part of the country and do not see a lot of uggos.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:06 PM
1

Can confirm.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:03 PM
1

That is a hard pass from me.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:02 PM

Someone is downvoting all my comments in the thread about "if men stopped pursuing" and it's ALL my comments, not just triggering ones. Someone out there hates me.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:01 PM
1

Oh brother. At this point I am getting so much blowback for telling the truth, I can see why people lie on anon accounts.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 03:59 PM
1

I did make a decision. Of all the men pursuing me on OLD I chose him.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 03:57 PM
1

It's like you are not a girl and cannot imagine stranger danger.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 03:57 PM
1

I mean if she was actually sick and that was why she didn't want to give out her number...a simple "hey, I have laryngitis so I can't talk on phone" somewhere in the months long text-caped would have happened. Yes, that is what happened. Not sure why everyone is struggling with belief.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 03:55 PM
1

Well I am not gonna deny my SO is a Chad, you got that right.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 03:54 PM
2

I seriously doubt 80 percent are icky.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 03:54 PM

I used to ask men out. It usually worked, but the kind of men I got were too passive.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 03:53 PM

No, it really is regional. My SO is imported too.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:52 AM

If there were no sexual attraction I would live a commune of women like a convent or some other colony of bored people.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/19 04:51 AM

Oh you guys...not everyone is from the pillosphere. Sometimes in life people meet under imperfect circumstances and sometimes the truth is simply the truth.

Eh, you'd have to have been there.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/19 07:44 PM
-5

Huh? I never told him to get lost. That I was reluctant to give up my phone number quickly does not mean I blew him off. We were texting at a time that I had bronchitis and it hurt to talk.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/19 07:27 PM
5

We can all get behind that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/19 04:22 PM

OK, I don't read everything posted here...what did someone say that elicited your black pill comment?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/19 04:06 PM
11

Not gonna lie, I enjoy being pursued by attractive men. My current and most successful relationship started with him messaging me for over a month before I gave up my phone number. We are very much in love. That said...I also had a stalker who would not go away. Despite my obvious lack of interest he would send gifts and inappropriate notes and even found out where I lived to deliver this nonsense and I was genuinely afraid since he called himself a sociopath and posted his fantasies about me on…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/19 03:59 PM
1

Such as?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/19 03:38 PM
7

I absolutely do know men like this, and they are quite happy and fulfilled. They have no interest in romance or dating, so they hang out with buddies and fly planes and fix cars and raise dogs. There is no sex to my knowledge, but a sort of asexual monk-hood that brings them joy. And I wish them well.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/19 12:32 AM

But the guys here want to believe that 18 year olds are in super high demand by older men. Giggly teenagers who have never filed their own taxes.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/19 03:39 AM
7

No, it's still gross.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/19 03:37 AM

Perfect point! A 40 year old cougar manipulating a shy 18 year old boyfriend would be just as disgusting and for the exact same reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/19 03:28 AM

Is this a cam girl? Are you talking about actual relationships or internet fans?

/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/19 03:13 AM

Agreed, if some guy told me my boobs were saggy or my body was gross I would never let him see me naked. Prolly just cry and then leave. Re-evaluate the whole relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/19 01:24 AM

Wait, for real? He makes fun of your body and you pack your bags? Where do you go for three months??

I don't watch much TV, but I have heard of this show.

Now that is what I call a CMV! Good point my man.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/19 01:12 AM

I have yet to see a wily vixen 18 year old manipulating a 50 year old man. Have you?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/19 12:57 AM

When each Redditor posts on PPD I imagine them like characters from a modern movie, and no one is fat. So I am surprised when young bucks claim they are incels and cannot get dates, because why not? Then the obesity rates come to mind...

That we gals have different types and not all of them are conventionally attractive. Many a woman has had a crush on someone whom her friends thought was ugly or gross. It never stopped her feelings for him. You guys remember how many girls fell for Snape from the Harry Potter movies? It was embarrassing but those young women were being sincere.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/19 12:43 AM

This seems so obvious, but here goes: Casual relationships are No Thanks. If I figure out the guy is not serious I dump him. No more calls, just move on. Committed relationships are two people in love, crazy for each other and acting like it, can't wait to see or talk to your SO and you think about them all day at work. There is a Talk to make this official and thereafter you are a Couple. Since there is no other reason to date a guy, this means everything. Sharing French fries? Oh dude...more s…

It took 2 years of asking women out, being rejected over 30 times, and dealing with the pain of being alone just to meet a feminist, bottom of the barrel chick. You might have better luck meeting gals at church.

Bipolar disorder is NOT due to earlier trauma, wrong. It is a mood disorder that may or may not be genetic. And yes, some people have bad luck THAT IS MY POINT. You seem primed to blame one party based on gender when (as in all real life) you do not know the story. Marriages fail at an alarming rate when folks marry young because there are so many life changes and unknowns and then the poisons that lurk in the mud all hatch out. Bad luck. Those women were all church-going Christians. They are now divorced despite lack of partying in their youth. I mean, NO partying. No chads. All you can claim is their vetting being sloppy, but that is all in hindsight and very convenient for pointing fingers. How about this- you cannot vet young people because they change so much in two decades that no one has a crystal ball.

Marrying you is changing roles so that you're the one with power over him instead of him being the one with power over you. Except in traditional or religious couples where the husband has all the power or authority. Man head over wife, spiritual leader, basically a Godling over the wife.

If marriage is hell and you need to warn others, why not follow your own advice? Disappear without a trace to some other country and start over?

A man once told me that the worst thing a woman can ever do to their relationship is criticize him. Is this true?

My thoughts as well. The hate for blue-dyed hair and an occasional skinny-girl cosmo is enough, the idea that women might have human lives and motivations runs against their Platonic image of Good Girls and the Days Gone By. Why Reddit attracts such trad cons is bewildering to me, since most of them are nerds.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
