I'm a guy, but that's all good. 😄 And I can 100% relate to the "spending too much time in forums/social recluse" dilemma you speak of. Yes, getting out and living life is the key to it all. Not documenting every aspect of it on social media. These people are trying to fill a hole within themselves; normal folks just live their lives without that need to showcase, micromanage, and present perfection to the world.

Social media these days is pure, unadulterated, grotesque Narcissism. These supposedly perfect looking lives are fraying and decaying behind the scenes. You would not want to be friends with these people IRL and would run for the hills if they ever became your neighbor. Believe me. Lol. 😳😱

Nietzsche's sister was anti-semitic and really scewed her brother's work in that direction after his death, making it prime pickings for the Nazis. There was no despair in Nietzsche when he declared the death of God. It was jubilation for those you could find strength in the freedom that the death of God brings ...but despair for those who cannot fathom life without the concept of God and thus remain shackled to the past.

God. Run for the hills. Gay men's chatroom??? Uh, that would be ONE big red flag amongst many others. He is not into you. He sounds like a horrible boyfriend. You deserve to be with somebody who treats you better than this.

I'm sorry, that communication block must be frustrating. The fact that you mentioned both of you being introverts is illuminating though. It helps explain the deadlock a little better. Were your past two relationships with introverts as well? It's nice to have that counterbalancing energy in the other person. One idea off the top of my head though is maybe dial back on the texting and focus on having meaningful telephone conversations. Two introverts relying on texting to communicate doesn't sou…

Uhhh, yeah that awkward silence in the car is a killer. Just reading that sent shivers up my spine. That's not an optimal position to be in after 4 years. But where are the common interests? Did you not bond over anything like a shared sense of humor , or political views , or same taste in Netflix shows , or shopping ...something other than the purely physical? There must have been something you two found interesting about each other in order to last 4 years. But maybe there wasn't a whole lot t…

Well, I want to say first off that there is nothing inherently wrong with a "safe marriage." People get married for many different reasons, and having a safe marriage definitely has its upsides. It can allow you to focus on areas that particularly motivate you , whether it's a strenuous yet highly rewarding career or staying home with the kids. But if you're anything like a romantic at heart, as I am, it can end up being stifling to the soul. Now I cheated a little and glanced at your post histo…

I have not observed this to be the case. In my experience, both men and women do a pretty damn good job of trying to make a relationship work. Where I see the difference though, is what happens when these individuals are not in relationships. To put it plainly, the women seem to go a little bit more wild. The women are more prone to having "FWBs" and going out on the town with the girls; their social nature puts them in more situations where "things" can happen. Whereas the guys I know, when not…

I am sorry I just went on a rant and didn't address your main concerns. I am a texter and very much pro-communication, so these situations just frustrate the hell out of me. So I know what it feels like even though I come from the male standpoint. I'm sure the girls will have some good advice on how to proceed. 🙏🙂

I just don't have much patience for not replying to texts. It literally takes two seconds, I don't care how busy somebody is. If you're in a relationship, and you care about each other, you do not wait a week to answer a text. Inexcusable. It seems straight forward enough to me. I hope he starts doing better.

I'm not exactly so sure she is a troll. That was quite an overly verbose explanation of events (yes I read every word because I have no life lol 😛). Elliott sounds like a pretty good guy. He probably shouldn't get bogged down with your drama, but if it's something you're committed to fixing, it might be worth while to keep him on your contact list as you get your shit together. You precisely zeroed in on what you need to work on: those empty, lonely feelings and need for male attention because o…

One thing I do with my long distance girlfriend is keep up with "date nights" even though we're apart. Often it is merely watching the same movie or TV program simultaneously...and then we discuss it afterwards or text back and forth, if it's something happening in real time...like a political debate, etc. It's a nice way to feel connected as if we were together. In general, I encourage a lot of video chats or texting (especially after work hours when you're both at home alone). Keeping that clo…

Your husband doesn't sound like a dynamic, inspiring, "the guy who lights up a room when he walks in"--type of guy. Unfortunately, it sounds like you made the safe choice when you chose to marry him. He may have ticked a lot of boxes indicating he would make a great father, but did he capture your heart? Were you enthusiastically madly upside-down in chaotic love when you married him? Or was he merely "good enough?" He ticked the boxes. You may have settled here, and you knew so from the beginni…

Do you think you're in the best position to judge yourself Low Value, or not? How are you so certain of this? All of us, men and women, tend to judge ourselves too harshly. We can hardly be objective arbiters of our own value. Furthermore, you may be romanticizing the past; still perceiving this guy thru rose-tinted glasses. Was he really all he was cracked up to be? Look, the relationship failed, and it takes two to tango. It wasn't meant to be, obviously, and it could have a much more prosaic …

No matter how busy he is, it takes 2 seconds for him to text you. It's inexcusable of him to go on for days like that without keeping in touch. He seems to be acting like a pouting baby who didn't get his way, and now he's giving you the silent treatment. Utterly inexcusable in my opinion. Cut him loose, he's not worth your time.

Yeah, I don't think you can gauge somebody's intentions by how frequently or exuberantly they text. That is such an individualized preference for communicating...some people love it, others loathe it. I happen to be somebody who loves to keep in touch via texting, but I know other people who won't respond to a text for days. It's just not their preferred communication style. That being said, his intentions should be much more apparent after the second date...and that's when you should spend the …

I wouldn't put too much pressure on yourself, it's only a 4 day event. Go and have fun, do some networking, but in all likelihood you won't see any of those people again. You're going to have a far greater chance finding your future Captain at school, or at work.

Well this has all ended up as good news for me. I don't consider myself a Red Piller but I am definitely looking for the traits that define a RPW in my future SO. And so learning in this thread that RPW aren't necessarily looking for a RP-dude is comforting/satisfying. There is kind of a paradox in that concept at the surface level, but it's definitely something I can live with lol. 👍

I guess I have confused myself. I have always associated the word "beta" as synonymous with "submissive" and/or "effeminate." I have also always interpreted "beta" in a pejorative context, in the sense that a man is not supposed to be submissive/effeminate. Those traits you list don't seem necessarily "beta" to me...they seem like normal ideal traits for a man to possess. Thank you for your reply, it's clarifying!

What is the endgame here? Romance should lead to more sex, right? Or do you want more romance just for the sake of more romance? I guess it all boils down to what you mean by "romance" and if it's a means to an end or not. Scenario 1 above sounds like an awful tease to me. Having to leave for work while my wife is standing there in hot lingerie would make me late for work. How about flashing some of that when he gets home from work???

Attitude is everything. I know it's cliche, but exude a positive demeanor and can-do spirit. Sitting slumped over at your desk with a put-upon or resentful look about you will not win over new allies or better work assignments.

If it feels good, do it. The important thing is you are comfortable with your own sexuality and you know how to get yourself off. That puts you leagues ahead of a lot of women. To know thyself, and to know what buttons to push, will only help you have better sexual relationships in the future. To me, that sounds pragmatic and healthy.

Every happy, normal marriage I am aware of ...the money all goes in one pot. The wife having a secret stash of cash seems counterintuitive to a healthy, solid marriage. It's like she is eyeing her exit from the marriage already, that's not showing much faith in the union.

I didn't notice anything wrong with your English! It's better than most native speakers lol. Well you should be able to date at 27 and not have to hide it from Mom and Dad. But I have a feeling that's a no-go in your situation. It sounds like you might also be the only child. Highlight your most feminine virtues and be confident in your femininity. Be authentic to yourself and your high value will be apparent and appreciated by the right men. Don't try to be everything to everybody. It seems like the dating apps are full of the same cookie cutter archetype: with the outdoorsy poses (I like nature!) , pics with baseball cap on drinking beer watching football (Just one of the boys!) , and selfies at hip restaurants ( I am a refined food connoisseur!), etc etc.

Confident being Feminine. I live in an area of the country where the women and the men dress and style themselves in much the same manner. So I love seeing a woman embracing her femininity, and perhaps pushing it somewhat: heels, glamorous nails, make-up, flowing locks. It's an exhilarating sight and breath of fresh air these days.

But men who have that special energy , which can "light up a room," are pretty intimidating for most women. The smart, careful ones would notice them, but observe from a distance. Then calculate a strategy and proceed with a plan. The ones who pounce immediately don't have any foresight , and most likely are playing well above their level.

There really is not enough information here to go off of. It depends a lot on how he is processing this. Is he genuinely as perplexed as you are ? Is he unbothered ? Is he indifferent ? If he is shrugging all of this off, I would be concerned. If he is nonchalant about the dearth of your sex life, I would be alarmed. Something is up, something is going on. But we need more information about his reaction to all of this to really be certain.

You deserve way more than rushed bathroom sex. I am disappointed in your husband and his nonchalance towards your sex life together. Being promiscuous at this point in your life doesn't make much sense. If you were meant to be a promiscuous woman, it would have happened by now. Sex with dumb random men who don't care about you is not the way to proceed. It will bring nothing but emotional pain; you will become jaded, cynical, and less of a catch for the ideal RP man who may be lurking just around the corner for you. What you are proposing almost sounds to me like the equivalent of saying "Hmmm, I have never been a drug addict…

I don't disagree with anything you are saying. But I do think alphas can come in different shapes and sizes. Some can prefer women their own age, others may prefer younger. There are also 22 year old women who can be quite mature in many ways. I guess we just can't pigeonhole everybody. But I respect how you view what a true alpha should be like, and perhaps your view is the ideal that every alpha should shoot for.

I think your instincts have been correct thus far so I would continue to trust them. And hey, he may turn out into being a fake alpha wannabe, you never know. But then you will that experience to gird yourself for the next one. I think you should strike while the iron is hot , and keep the ball rolling. And maybe just frame it as a positive learning experience no matter how it may ultimately turn out. Have fun with it and be safe. 🙂

I think you really need to be creative here and think outside of the box. In my opinion the ideas offered thus far are rather mundane and hum drum. If you want it to be a truly special present from your heart, you need to get into HIS heart and HIS head and give him something he would least expect and never forget. I think only you could know what that would be. And as you said, it can't just be another material possession.

The MILF thing only seems to be a fantasy for a subset of dudes from the age 17 to 25 -ish range. It's a phase they largely grow out of. Additionally, that particular age range is the cohort most actively consuming porn, so their preferences are over represented in the statistics.

"I don't think you have to dress up to impress men. They usually won't notice." That's quite a statement right there. Men notice everything. Remember we are very visually attuned. After making eye contact with a woman, the first place my eyes usually dart to are her hands, then straight down to check out the footwear situation. There is much to be gleaned from how a woman keeps her nails and the style of shoe she wears. T And of course feminine attire is highly preferable to a thrown together lo…

I think it is very feminine and shall we say more submissive to have an introverted personality. I dont think you need to worry about that. However I am a little concerned about your need to have "space" from your husband. I myself would want my wife at my side as much as possible and would feel hurt that she had to "take a break" from me. Well if he's your husband then it shouldn't come as a complete shock. Whatever you do, don't open the jar for him. Give him your best shaming expression with no accompanying verbal harangue. The look on your face should give him all the information he needs to deal with the jar like a man.

I think nails are so important, they can say and reveal so much about a person. I unconsciously check out a woman's nails almost instantaneously. I think in a lot cases length equals feminity, so I prefer them with some length, either naturally or via extensions. One can never go wrong with a french manicure/pedicure...it just goes effortlessly with everything in your wardrobe and shoe closet.

Guy here. Nails are important. One of the first things I notice. And long nails are extremely feminine...so it's a pretty straight forward answer. :)

One thing to consider is the potential he has for making the sort of living that you would want. He sounds like a nice guy to me. It sounds like you're covered on all the other aspects except his current income. If he has the drive, the potential, and the ability to earn more, then perhaps he will. Some guys just don't have the super high ambition. Find out if that's something he can kick into the next gear.

He doesn't seem to be responding like a normal male. I think it's an excuse to focus on his stress and his exams and whatnot. I wouldn't bend over backwards for this guy, I believe you deserve a whole lot better. Leave him to his studies and find a guy who -wants- to be intimate with you.
