Hi Calm Elk, I know the sub is meant for men, but I just wanted to say you sound like an intelligent and thoughtful person, as well as kind and considerate. Please don't listen to the negative talk on this or any other sub. Lots of people are bitter and mean, and take any opportunity to belittle others - as long as there's no risk to themselves. Others just like to spread their own misery. Don't let them affect you. Stay hopeful and positive - you never know what's around the corner!!

Being cautious is great, but obviously there is such a thing as taking it too far. If I had a daughter, and I told her that she should never be alone with any man, under any circumstances, since some are psychotic killers, that would be doing her a disservice that would affect all aspects of her life, not just romantic ones. Actually, I would go so far as to say it would ruin her life. And it would make me a bad mother and an awful person. If you have a son, and you tell him over and over again …

I agree with you about the ad hominems, it's poor debating technique and also not nice. I'm horribly guilty of this myself and I'm trying to stop. But, to actually debate, I know this is dumb, but could you please explain to me why, if some or even a majority of a group does a thing, it's valid to say "all" of them do it? It seems extremely unfair. I don't hate men AT ALL and I never make general statements about men as a group. I also can't stand it when other people do. It's wrong, unfair, and…

Just repeating stuff you have already said doesn't make for a very good debate. You have made that point 100,000 times at least. I was trying to extrapolate that to your accusation about hating men - but I guess you didn't catch that

So not worshipping Dangzagnut = hating all men?

You are the best possible representative of MGTOW. The vast majority of people will read your posts and see how bizarre you are, and by extension, them. The people who agree with you, we don't want around anyway. So, thank you 😊

Ok. But I think the real truth is that your belief that women are evil isn't rational at all, and had nothing to do with philosophy or psychology. From the sounds of it, I think you might not even know how you arrived at it. You talk about how when you used to have sex with women, it was all this BDSM stuff where you degraded them. And that you specifically selected people who you could bully. So your hatred was in place way back then. I think all these arguments you make now are only attempts t…

Sorry - I had mistaken you for one of these people who can't think straight 😊

Maybe these guys, who are getting tangled up in one bad relationship after another, need to take a good hard look at what kind of people they are associating with. Just think about what you are saying - how are women who keep going back to assholes any different from guys who keep hanging around with cheating selfish women?

So women are fickle and shallow for not being attracted to you, and for that they deserve condemnation. But, your judging women completely based upon their physical attractiveness is fine. And on top of that, you lie and trick women into sex while still claiming moral superiority. You might the least self-aware person on this sub. And that's saying a lot. But it's OK, since I'm sure you don't get many takers.

What do you know about relationships? Didn't you say you've never been in one?

An example of your intelligence - saying that infanticide happens "all the time" when by the study you cited the infant homicide rate in the US is 8 per 100,000 - committed by either sex. Then you use that as your primary example of how women are so evil. Brilliant characterization.

I don't participate in either of those things. And I'm smart enough not to have to put people in categories in an attempt to understand them

Are you just trying to make the point that the word "rape" has lost its meaning through overuse? I don't necessarily disagree but I don't think your approach is very effective. You are only contributing to it with this crap. Also, for people like me, you just push us in the other direction. I would have more sympathy for your side if you didn't take it this far. And it's really unfortunate in this case because many, many people have actually undergone real suffering and mistreatment. It's not a …

Except you said a lot more than that. "Rape is just women bitching about not being paid enough" Rape is just "Women's sexual dates gone bad" "Women's real rape never happens" "The murder/rape rate is just as concerning as dying of bee stings" If you can't see the difference between worshipping women, and denying that rape ever occurs and if it does you don't care, I don't know what to tell you. I'm not a psychologist, but it seems like there might be something missing in your brain.

What are you trying to achieve with your posts? I'm not sure that even you really believe what you say in these senseless rants. Are you just trying to get a reaction? I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. Your posts make you seem like a psycho. Is that your goal? What did I say that indicates that I hate anyone? And what in the world makes you associate "pussy worship" with accepting the obvious fact that some men do commit rape? Rape is YOUR obsession - you are the one who keeps bri…

That's the voice of MGTOW right there. I have actually seen people there refer to him as reasonable lol. I would never have believed people like that still existed. Lunatics. He and people like him are the reason we still need feminists to stand up for our rights, even if they might be a little over the top at times IMHO.

Same! What I find a little disturbing are the older guys, not so much on this sub as on the mgtow type ones. A kid will post on there, who is like 16, saying they have decided to remain a virgin and have nothing to do with women their whole life. The old guys will be like "that's awesome, I wish I had thought of that, good choice!!" What kind of advice is that to tell a kid? It seems like it would be better if they kept their misery to themselves and leave other people alone. It's ok to vent, bu…

Your attitude is a million times better than a lot of other guys on this sub!! They constantly lament about how bad society is today (all women's fault), then turn around and say they are going to only look out for themself no matter who they hurt. Like, wow - go and make a difference!! lol

Well I definitely don't agree that women aren't deserving of honestly, so if you say so, I'll take it back. I guess you'll have to take responsibility for yourself, and learn to become a good person on your own. Lots of people have lousy mothers and fathers, and yet they turn out OK.

Well I for one value the contributions of men. But as far as the original question asked by the OP, every one of your posts in this exchange with me proves the point to be true. I don't see you (on behalf of men) taking responsibility for a single thing!!!

I think your mother is right to encourage you to spend time with your grandfather! Children/young people learn so much just by watching how the people they look up to behave. So for boys it's essential to have a good man somewhere in their life as a role model.

I am not a feminist, and I strongly believe that both boys and girls need a father. But I wish you guys would stop constantly devaluing the contributions of mothers and women in general. Children need both parents. I see from your post history that you are MGTOW. Do you think you would have been better off if you had been exposed to all that negativity as a child? Would it have been better if you were told that you were too unattractive to be loved, and that women aren't capable of it anyway? Al…

Female hamster thought process? What would you expect a mother to say? "I'm sorry bud, you're average looking at best, so no girl will ever want you that way. You better think of something else if you want to get with one. I suggest becoming an a-hole or making a lot of money." Also, trying to raise a son to be a good person who gets along well with others, and who treats others with respect, whether male or female, is just being a responsible parent - that's not child abuse.

That's true 😊 But whether someone is interesting or not is pretty subjective, don't you think? Maybe your range of interests is limited to more masculine things? Also, I think a lot of women aren't comfortable sharing their interests or opinions with someone they don't sense a connection with. They wait until the other person gives an indication that they are into the same thing first. Until then, they keep the topics safe and general (popular culture, etc). I think maybe in a lot of cases where…

Sorry for the late response! I actually don't think mgtow necessarily should have been quarantined. That sub certainly taught me something. I guess I had been sheltered, because I had believed that thinking such as is displayed there didn't really exist anymore. I have never been a feminist, and I thought their arguments were silly and outdated. After finding mgtow and the other manosphere subs, I had a ride awakening lol. Now I see that feminism is still relevant, and I sympathize with their ef…

This is the absolute truth. There were many posts about this - basically that women are too stupid to choose a good man so it was their own fault. But of course, it's never a man's fault for choosing a horrible person as a wife/gf What I saw being posted most frequently about rape was that either it never actually happens or that women enjoy it. I see people on this sub posting the same thing all the time. Anyone who says that mgtow wasn't a hate sub or believing the old saw "we don't hate women…

It seems like you are obsessed in some way with punishing or getting back at women. If trans women are what you prefer, then find one (or a cross dresser or whatever), and leave "cis" women alone. As a not exactly straight man, women's behavior really shouldn't concern you at all
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/19 05:28 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
