The four wives rule was introduced because rich men were marrying dozens or hundreds of women back then, so Islam basically made it a law to limit that to 4. This is not something achievable for the average man. For the common man, Islam says you can only marry as long as you can support the woman. If not, Islam tells you to fast and have patience. So while it is true that men were dying in wars, most men who survived never would have managed to marry 4 women back then, unless they managed to be…

I think religion is out of the scope of this group. But I agree with you in principle, everyone should have the right to choose for themselves which religion they should subscribe to. But that's not the world I was born in, was I? The post is not about religion, rather men's suffering from circumcission. If you would like to discuss the nuances of different religions, there are subs for that as well.

The Quran does not explicitly state that. It says, "Then We revealed to you ˹O Prophet, saying˺: “Follow the faith of Abraham, the upright, who was not one of the polytheists."(16:123). However, in Islam, Quran is not the only source of scripture. Hadith is a major source. Abu Huraira reported: Five are the acts quite akin to the Fitra, or five are the acts of Fitra: circumcision, shaving the pubes, cutting the nails, plucking the hair under the armpits and clipping the moustache. (Sahih Muslim …

I was circumcizzed at the age of 11 in a Hospital. The doctor was inexperienced. The anesthesia didn't start working right away. I could feel the needle and the stitches. It was a traumatizing experience. It took me a whole month to fully recover. The process worked out just fine. But the surgical experience was painful for me.

The video oversimplifies the issue by mocking people instead of addressing the ad’s real purpose. Historically, during times of recession, ads like this are rolled out to reassure struggling people with the message: “Hey, life may be tough, but at least you’re white.” We saw similar campaigns during the Great Depression. The goal isn’t fashion—it’s social control: convincing people that even if they’re not succeeding, their “good genes” are a consolation prize. Meanwhile, debates over cultural i…

First of all, someone who's focused on his career isn't gonna have much time to devote to a woman when he's in High School. So a lot of women end up dating losers. Then, they just miss the adrenaline rush from an abusive relationship. So even if they find a good guy, they make it toxic because they miss the excitement from the previous unstable relationships

I don't dictate the rules, man. That's just how society works these days. Even if you work hard and have a really good job,a lot of women still end up cheating on you or divorcing you. So I've shifted my focus to getting laid instead of settling down with someone I love. That's all.

Honestly, no. I used to think that way too. I was a virgin until the age of 24. I would say that looks are a big factor in dating apps. I never had any luck with them. But in real life, going out there and talking to people worked out for me. I started to put myself out there,in volunteer organizations(clubs) at my University.I was helping fellow students with language tests and that's how I was able to land the first one. After you land the first one,it gets easier.

I think women are just projecting their insecurity onto men. They do follow celebs, openly talk to their friends(and even partner) about their crush. I guess they're just insecure that you have the same thoughts about women on tv as they have for men on TV

According to Islamic law,the wife is only entitled to the previously agreed upon sum of "Den Mohor" or dowry after divorce, assuming he hadn’t paid it in full after marriage. She's not entitled to anything the man owns.

Don't blame yourself. You weren’t stupid. You were in shock and didn't know how to process what was happening to you. It is very brave of you to share your story. It is sad that society, mostly desperate men have fetishised female sexual assault on younger men, treating it as some sort of cool thing. I honestly don't know when men will get out of this mindset.

I like how she phrased it as "An extra mouth to feed" (single mother coping) But usually it's not the woman's choice to be a single mother. The guy simply moves to the next woman he can impregnate.

Because of hypocrisy and lack of accountability. Blaming the woman for cheating would count as holding herself accountable, which is something alien to the opposite sex. It's easier to blame the man instead of accepting that you're a terrible human being. Besides, there are tons of desperate men that will validate their every feeling.

Well, the problem is that you're chasing one girl at a time. Just imagine. You're only texting one girl and she is replying late. You're gonna keep thinking about her and eventually do something that comes off as needy. And women don't like that. So don't put all your eggs in the same basket. Do you really think that the girl you like only talks to one guy? No. Similarly, you need to pursue multiple women simultaneously.

So let me get this straight. There are a few million more women than the number of men in pretty much most developed countries where women aren’t aborted. And yet, more men are single compared to women. So how many women are dating the same man?
/r/MensRights15/08/22 09:00 PM
1

Well, what we give women dictates what they think of the world. Men,unfortunately, validate a woman's feelings to get laid, regardless of whether she's right or wrong. That's why they never get the feeling that what they feel isn't that important. As far as men's feelings are concerned... The more men show that they care, the more they repel the women. Women don't like men who care too much. Dating in general is a power play. Whoever budges first loses.

I'm not saying - "Outlaw it". I'm saying that men need to think with their brains and only offer as much money in marriage as they can afford. Some of the middle class people here agree to sums that people will need 10 years to save up.

Basically like what Gus Fring said in Breaking Bad..... A man provides for his family. The expectations will be there because Asians parents sacrifice all their money to educate their children and don't enjoy any amenities for themselves. That's why they expect their sons to take care of them at retirement age. No one will ever be underappreciated here for taking care of the family. To be honest, a lot of the problems with law are messes made by men themselves. For example, if a married woman cheats with another man,you can get the man arrested for adultery. Clearly, this is something the Brits wrote to scare men away from their wives. But now,It's become a discriminatory law.

First of all, any muslim woman can divorce her husband any time she wants. There doesn't have to be any fault according to the Bangladeshi law. There is a clause in the Bangladeshi law where you can gather proof of your wife's adultery to get the marriage annulled. Bottom line is,parts of Islam that benefit the women are kept and since it was a British Colony till 1947, some of the laws follow British Law. So it ended up becoming s fusion of Islamic Family Law and British Family Law. In fact, th…

Dowry and "Denmohor" are not the same thing. Dowry is when a man asks for money from his wife. It originated in the hindu community because women don't get a share of the father's property. So they used to shower the groom with a lot of money. It also dates back to the idea that women are a burden on the society because they can't earn money. Since Muslims in the subcontinent were hindus at one point,Muslims too adopted this custom of receiving dowry from the bride. So yes, that is illegal in the …

Well,if you're talking about reciprocity, people are slowly moving away from the concept of arranged marriage in big cities. Love marriage has become a common thing. But the traditional expectation to provide is still there. In a lot of the middle class families, women work but still expect the man to bear all the expenses. When asked to chip in, they simply refer to Islam, which says it's the man's duty to provide for his wife and children. So,what I'm referring to the title here is,women will a…

I don't know much about the western world. I'm from Bangladesh, a country neighbouring India. In the Indian subcontinent, the number of women is pretty much identical to men. Naturally, there's supposed to be more women than men in a population. It's true. I once argued with a feminist about men's right organisations. The more it went on,I realized that today's feminists treat feminism as a religion that has all the answers. So her point was basically this- Feminism stands for the rights of all people,so a separate movement for men's rights isn’t needed in the first place. Therefore, all MRA activists are misogynists who only talk about these things to make a point against Feminism.
