Looking for adviceThank you for your reply here and for sharing your story. The facts do support your statement that it's either already happening, or it's going to happen; I'd be a fool to ignore that. Like you said, you can do all the right things and still lose, so I'll have to accept that. Either way though, good point on the basement. Fuck that I'm going to change that. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 10:29 PM
Looking for adviceThanks for your response; it made me chuckle. I'll continue to try and get a couple's councilor. Oddly enough, it's super hard where I live right now to get one, called like 8 and all 8 called back saying they are full. I guess it's marriage break down season around here. I too suspect some well hidden post-partum, so hoping her councilor explores that with her. Either way, I'm all for couples counseling to hopefully get to the bottom of what's really going on, and to see what role I can play in… | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 10:14 PM
Looking for adviceA big thank you for this reply. You really helped reaffirm my stance and plan on how to approach this. I'm going to memorize that quote above. Thank you | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 09:09 PM
Looking for adviceSorry, I'm unfamiliar with soy. Is that a slang for something? | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 08:56 PM
Looking for adviceI'll be honest that this site has really helped me. Thank you all for sharing your stories. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 08:56 PM
Looking for adviceI really like that analogy about put her on a pedestal and she'll treat you like a fan. That's great. Ya, I thought be the awesome husband, be a cool dude in general and be super supportive would keep her happy, but I was too available and put her needs ahead of everything. Big mistake. I do have to get the fuck out of the basement. It's fucking demoralizing and kicks me in the simp balls. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 08:44 PM
Looking for adviceThanks man. I wish you the best as well on that journey, since I'll be right there behind you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 08:41 PM
Looking for adviceThank you so much for your feedback and story. You are totally bang on. I've been reading that book on no more nice guy, and learned a bunch already, even though I'm not your average nice guy, I did see some things I was doing that mirrored that. I'm sure when I'm ready that I'll be fine on the dating scene I think. I am going to focus on the gym, being the best dad and learning not to give a shit about her and what's to come. The part I'm finding super hard is the taking it day by day and not t… | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 08:38 PM
Looking for adviceI think you're right. Thank you for the feedback. If I look at the straight facts, I would be a dummy to ignore that perhaps even an emotional affair is happening at the least that makes one totally check out. Very good advice on the staying cool and watching for getting a sneak attack that paints me in some wild light. I'm an even keel guy that is careful thankfully. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 08:31 PM
Looking for adviceugh ya. That deepest, darkest hole is already on the horizon. Fucking brutal seeing you future detonate like this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 08:26 PM
Looking for adviceYa, same here in a way. I think its there way to try and "soften" the blow due to guilt or create a fantasy narrative that helps them switch to the new guy. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 08:26 PM
Looking for adviceThanks man, I actually really appreciate brass tax honesty. The simplest answer is that there is at least some form of an emotional affair going on, or worse, that hardens someone suddenly like this. And, that because of that I need to prepare for what the facts are telling me, which is I'm about to possibly find out the real reason shortly.. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 08:25 PM
Looking for adviceThanks for this. I have started to read up on dread game. Now in retrospect, I think it's such a scam that every article I read online about how to support your wife post baby when she says stuff like that was 100% setting me up for failure. Be the super dad and help support your wife with what she needs, cool, but oh by the way now she loses the tingle and you're fucked. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 07:00 PM
Looking for adviceThank you for responding. I've setup counselling for myself too to try and address the onslaught of emotions running through me right now, from betrayal, to sadness for my kids, to self doubt, you name it. What a bloody mess. I just didn't think someone could check out like that and destroy a marriage without taking a bunch of at least partial steps to improve things. The whole checking out thing to me is madness? | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/23 06:19 PM
