My comment had noting to do with who relies on who. If you’re doing 50/50 neither partner is paying for everything. There are tons of women who have their partner pay for everything and have no issue saying that.

I don’t really understand your response. He won because he brought children into the world and was able to walk away from them? I also don’t understand why you brought up child support. Child support can be garnished from your wages if it is not paid and you don’t need a lawyer to go to family court. Whether or not she has the means to get on is not provided within the OP. Also where in society are men taught not to value marriage? I don’t get your point about being married because I am not argu…

He won in what way? Many men don’t claim marriage is terrible. Many men choose to get married everyday. Both men and woman take a gamble with marriage. This particular man did not value marriage, he also did not value fatherhood. And he demonstrated that in various ways that this particular woman chose to ignore.

My man would have an issue with this. But he is also against strip clubs for men.

The whole story has red flags all over it. First most people practicing 50/50 understand you can’t split it exactly down the middle if there is an income disparity. The split recognizes the income disparity. Also I’m going to assume this woman is not married to this man given that you referred to his money as his money. Having multiple children with a man who is not marrying you is a poor decision. Choosing to having a second child with a man who won’t even buy diapers for the first child is eve…

Guys my boyfriend is now my fiancé! He proposed yesterday on my birthday! I broke down crying the minute I realized it was about to happen, he didn’t even made it onto his knee.

I don’t think I care for surprises. But I know he feels like an engagement should be planned between the couple, it should be on the man. Happy early birthday girlie. My birthday is Saturday. Officially leaving my 20s.

I am but i kind of ruined the surprise for myself because i looked in his stuff and found the ring. We had talked about getting engaged this year but I didn’t know he even bought a ring yet. So now I’m scared my surprise face won’t be good. My birthday is coming up this weekend and we are going to see my family in my mother’s home country, we are leaving tomorrow. So I’m thinking that’s when he will do it.

I think my man is gonna propose soon, possibly in the next week. I remember when I met him 4 years ago, I came to PPD and told yall I met a man that is so hot that I’m ok with him pumping and dumping me.

Yall when do you think you will stop having sex? I see post on Reddit about people in their late 60s upset their partners don’t want sex anymore. I can’t imagine being almost 70 and still having sex. I feel at that age there must be so many aches and pains.

I wouldn’t be able to look past that, the relationship would probably be over. That would be too much of a risk towards my health.

https://np.reddit.com/r/relationship\_advice/s/cEGDlTzw2k Something I realized very early on in dating as an adult is that some people have no business dating. Too many people are looking for a partner and want to normalize unnormal shit instead of seeking therapy.

She was good for a couple of years. She has schizophrenia. She suffered from addiction to hard drugs essentially his entire life and he was raised by his grandmother. She started living with him a few years ago and he got her sober. He did this out of a feeling of obligation not because they have any sort of deep relationship. This last year she decided to start smoking weed and eating thc gummies and I think that has triggered her recent psychosis episode. She also hasn’t been taking her medica…

My bf is under a lot of stress at the moment. His mom made a ton of poor decisions which has led to her being in a psych ward for 2 weeks and as of last week she is homeless after deciding to not go to the boarding house the hospital set up for her after she was released. She then decided it would be a smart idea to shut off her card where she gets her social security. To say the last week has been stressful is an understatement and I feel bad thinking about this but I’m not sure this is baggage…

I know of at least two women who have good careers who feel this way. My friend group is small so maybe it’s not a majority of women who feel this way. But I was simply commenting on the women that do. Personally I also make similar money to my friend and I can’t imagine walking away from that. I also am afraid of walking away from my career and ending up in an abusive situation like you described. I have an aunt who chose to be a stay at home mothers for pretty much the entirety of her marriage…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:52 PM

I follow the Christian marriages sub Reddit and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a post about a woman complaining that her man isn’t leading because he’s not supporting her wanting to be a stay at home mom. And people have to comment and tell her theres nothing in the Bible that says women shouldn’t work.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:42 PM

Yes, I live in NJ roughly 30/40 min from Manhattan. On 160k you can definitely own a house but there’s a possibility of being house poor especially going it on 1 income. You for sure would be looking at over 50 percent of your income going just to maintaining the house and paying the mortgage.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:36 PM

I really can’t wrap my mind around why so many women what to be stay at home mothers, especially college educated women with careers. Two incomes are always going to be better than one. I have a childfree friend making 160k and can’t imagine buying and maintaining a house in her own. Yet she expects to be a stay at home mom in the future where her husband will pay all the bills and support her and multiple children.

This is the answer. This whole thread can be shut down now. A large percentage of women need to believe that their lives are under threat. And I would argue that the percentage of women who believe that needs to be a lot closer to 100 than to 50. As a woman who does not believe that, I will not be participating in any uprising. Things would have to get a lot worse to change my mind.

Yea I see it in a similar way now. I’m in the best relationship I’ve been in my entire adult life. I love this man more than any man I’ve been with. And yet i can walk away from this relationship easier than any other relationship. Because I’ve learned it’s just not worth my time to be fighting for certain things. We are either on the same page or we are not. When I was younger I felt like a relationship was the end all be all and it’s really not. Tbh even if I got married, if kids were not invo…

I was constantly in a relationship. I’ve been single for less than a year my whole adult life. And a good chunk of that was spent fighting for relationships that weren’t worth it. My exes are no longer in my life, those relationships are no longer relevant to my life. So it was largely a waste of my time to have been in those relationships.

Whenever I see people under 25 talking about relationships problems on Reddit, my immediate thought is “who cares, leave them”. I remember being young and feeling like an ex was my person despite all the drama. But really those relationships were so irrelevant looking back now. If anything I regret not being single more and not dating more.

You mentioned statistically men want children more. Is there a statistic you are referring to? The OP seems more anecdotal. Anecdotally, I still see and know more women who have a strong desire for motherhood than I know men who have a strong desire for fatherhood. There was actually a post on this sub a couple weeks back where men were asked would they choose to be a single father or give their child up for adoption and I was shocked by the amount of responses that said they would give the chil…

I will continue to travel even if I got married but there definitely would be more of a routine/structure with marriage. I currently work remotely. If I’m not in my relationship I can work anywhere in the states and I would have no issue. There’s nothing tying me to my state. Whereas as a wife, well even as a gf, I would not abandon my significant other for a long period of time to travel while working. I’m about to hit the wall in a little under 10 weeks and I’m not sure how I feel. I thought by this point I would have some epiphany about kids. Instead I feel like I want to completely forgo all societal expectations and just travel for a year. I have a great bf and I’m expecting an engagement this year. But I’m now questioning why I want the engagement/marriage. I know a large part of me just feels like it’s time, we have been together long enough. I also feel like if I’m going to do the wife …

This is very well put. There are both men and women who have a lifestyle or qualities about them that don’t make them compatible for marriage. If they are not interested in marriage then it really doesn’t matter. But there are qualities people should strive to have if marriage in the near future is something that they are interested in.

https://np.reddit.com/r/BlackPeopleTwitter/s/1Bo4AsBTXr Stuff like this is what made me realize men really don’t care about your past if they want to be with you. Even when you look at some of these “influencer” women. Some of them keep popping up with new male celebrity. These men have money, they can have whoever they want and yet they choose a woman that has publicly been linked to multiple other men.

Thank you for your advice. Yea I don’t know what type of therapist are out there. I also don’t know what type of therapy is available, like another commentor mentioned her therapist combined eastern and western practices. But I don’t know what the difference are. I am considering therapy but I actually wasn’t considering going back to better health. I tried it a second time for a month a few years ago and the therapist they assigned to me only did over text. That time around I quit immediately.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 12:39 AM

How long did you stay with a therapist before changing? What factors did you look at to determine that you aligned with a therapist vs deciding a therapist wasn’t for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 12:17 AM

Has anyone here done therapy and did it help you? I did some brief sessions in better help years ago but quit quickly. I didn’t feel like i was in a place to implement “the homework” I was being given. But now I’m thinking about possibly considering it again. I consider myself a very happy individual but this past 6 months possibly even a year I find myself dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression. My doctor has offered to put me on antidepressants but idk if this is a route I want to take.

If people want to move to find love I think that’s fine. I think how men view women in America isn’t any different from how women are in other countries though. Sleeping with women casually or dating long distance is going to be very different from a full time relationship that has its ups and downs and goes through actual tribulations. My main critique of your OP would be you not recognizing that are lot of passport bros are looking for easy sex from vulnerable women. It has nothing to do with …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 01:48 PM

Yea, a couple where both people are financially smart with their money and willing to split expenses get to live life on easy mode. Something to be very cautious of is a partner who expects the other person to pay all the bills.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 05:16 PM

All the discourse about which gender sucks more is nonsense. This is your friendly reminder that both men and women need one another because both genders are too broke to survive this economy on their own.

If a guy were to approach me and he is a complete stranger he first has to meet a physical threshold of what I find attractive. Obviously I’m not going out with him on the spot so as we initially communicate via text in the following days, I am now checking to see if he has a lifestyle that aligns with mine. That determine if I continue to move forward with dating. There is no man that I’m immediately going to be 100% interested in pursuing a relationship with simply from physical attraction. I …

I believe there was some sort of rehabilitation attempt. They are religious which is why they have 19 children. So whatever therapy or rehabilitation was probably done through a Christian org. Whether or not the people running the rehabilitation were actually licensed professionals I am not sure. Oftentimes Christian therapy is not by licensed individuals.

To be clear none of the CP stuff happened when he was a child. All of that is after they attempted rehabilitation.

So hindsight in 20/20. I guess my intial comment was more so questioning if they were wrong for thinking their child could be rehabilitated, when they had no clue how the future would turn out.

So from my understanding they did send him to therapy. Idk how good it actually was because as an adult he had CP on his laptop which landed him in jail. The whole situation is unfortunate. The parents get judgement but I feel like there was no way for them to win in the situation. There daughters were already traumatized and what should have been the next step, try to get your son locked up?

Q4A: So idk if you are all familiar with the Duggars but they are a religious family that had like 19 kids. Two of there sons in adulthood have been arrested for some form of CP/Child molestation. It came out that one son, who is now serving jail time for having CP as an adult, would inappropriately touch his sister when they were younger, at the time he was a teenager. Allegedly to try and contain this behavior the parents built their house where all the girls shared one room and all the boys s…

I guess it shouldn’t be surprising that so many men would opt for adoption, I mean men walk out on their children everyday. But for some reason I was actually surprised by these comments. Paternal instinct seems to not really exist for men, if a woman isn’t involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 07:43 PM

Did any of your parents kick you out? Like you were a good kid, no issues but they just said “well you’re an adult time to leave” I just saw a video of this 22 year old crying cause she lost her job and rent is due. I legit don’t know what a young person does to pay their bills if they didn’t go to school. I would be running so fast to live with my parents. But then I was like maybe her parents don’t want her.

My initial comment was about women who had an issue with all porn content so I don’t know why you would think that in the scenario I was describing the man was open with his partner about only fans and the woman was ok with it. Maybe that is where the confusion lies in this conversation.

I can’t speak for women either lol. The same way you can’t speak for all men. If the intent was to get off they would just watch something for free or use a free AI chatbot. They are not on a dating app because there is a risk of their significant other finding out. They absolutely would go on one if they could build that connection without the risk. I don’t think the woman providing the service is looking by for connection. I think most of the time she’s not even the one responding. It’s probab…

I had one guy friend in my 20s. There was never anything romantic from either of us so I do think men and women can be friends. But every guy I dated had an issue with this relationship. I think a lot of people, probably most, are not trusting of their partners having a friendship with the opposite gender. Because of this these relationships become more easily discarded.

You would never find me in a chippendales environment and you would never find my partner at the strip club. That’s a rule in my relationship established by my male partner. I do think it’s real for the men paying for it. I don’t think they are acting, I very much think they want that to be their reality. An actor and everyone on set knows they are putting on a s…

Well financially I think there’s an issue with using money to sustain the lifestyle of another woman, when that money could go to the betterment of your family. Also from my understanding men can communicate with women on only fans so they pay for it not just for content but to then communicate and develop a romantic relationship with that woman. At that point you are at the very least attempting emotional adultery.

Personally my man would cover much more of the mortgage, probably all if he made that much. As someone making 150k, I can tell you that half of the mortgage is around two weeks of her pay. From what I understand many couples divide expenses based on the percentage they make to one another. The reality is, that women would never be able to afford 6000 mortgage on her own. A big reason I’m turned off from kids is the responsibility. I have so much stress and things going on currently. I can’t imagine how to throw a kid into the mix. I don’t think what you described has to be the reality but I also am not aware of what jobs you have access to. But a high paying 9-5 does give you time with your family. That being said I do think ideally both parents should work.

I’ve never had sex with a random stranger or someone I just met. I had a drunken one night stand with a friend once. And my current relationship and my previous one started out as fwb. But I knew all these men would be in my life long term if I wanted them to be.

This is going to work with some women and not others. My friend has a lot of anxiety, so she enjoys smaller dates in the beginning where she doesn’t have to maintain a conversation for a long period of time with a guy. Like another commenter she also views constant messaging as love bombing. I on the other hand got offered dinner dates very quickly when I was on dating apps and so that became the minimum I would accept for a first date when I was dating. For my own safety I would never go to a m…

Guys I’m about to hit the wall in a few month. And I’ve decided to give some advice to all you younger people because I’m older and wiser now. In your twenties get a high paying skill. But also have fun. Dont wait for friends to do the things you want to do. Don’t be afraid to go to that restaurant you want to go to, by yourself. Travel. If the relationship is having problems, leave. You have time to find someone else.

These days a lot of people want to paint the picture that if you didn’t vote for the same party as me then you want me to die. And because of this thought process it’s easy for them to have this idea that political views and the parties people align with should be dealbreakers. People are allowed to pick whatever dealbreaker they want. But at the end of the day, when you have parties that are being paid off by the same lobbyists it really doesn’t matter. People vote based on what they feel to be…

Eh I don’t crave motherhood at the moment. But I know I would be a good mom. And my bf adopted his siblings child after they passed so I know he would be a good dad.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 10:06 PM

Maybe they don’t have much sex now, so this wish they had more prior to locking into this relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 09:26 PM

I don’t have any desire either. I’m about to turn 30 and I’m waiting for that light switch to go off In my head where I start to crave motherhood. That is supposedly what happened to my mom. I have so many female friends that have such a strong desire for motherhood though. They believe they will find deep fulfillment in it and I just can’t relate. That being said my bf wants a biological child so if we get married I will probably appease him and have at least one.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 09:23 PM

Very interesting. In my initial comment I didn’t mention men who hadn’t been married because it’s very easy for me to wrap my head around a man not feeling connected to a child that came from a woman he didn’t love. I guess in my logic I wrongly assumed that husbands love their wives when they have children with them and therefore feel connection to those children.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 02:59 PM

I find it strange when a couple gets a divorce and the husband becomes an absentee father. Were they only present as a father because of the wife? Did they never want fatherhood?

Q4M: Do you pay on the first date/multiple dates? Do you pay for stuff for your partner in general? Do you find that the women you’re dating are looking for you to pay for a lifestyle they can’t afford? Questions were inspired by a post I saw on the main Reddit page about a man who was poor and frustrated with dating because the dating culture seems to only value money. My logic is that if you’re poor and you are also dating other poor people, shouldn’t it not be an issue?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 02:33 PM

Heyy, I like to pop in here when things are on my mind. PPD is the most neutral place I’ve been able to find on Reddit. How’s it been going?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 03:14 PM

Yea that made no sense to me. At this point I haven’t been keeping up with the news as much. Tbh I’m one of the conspiracy believers that thinks there’s something bigger going on. So I’m skeptical of like everything I hear on this topic. Is that still the belief that he is disassembled and reassembled the gun?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 02:34 PM

I gotta watch the clip. I saw a bunch of other clips where he celebrated people losing their jobs. Which obviously diminishes my sympathy for him. That being said I don’t think he said anything bad and I don’t think his job should have been in jeopardy for what he said. I think it was hypocritical, conservatives celebrating him losing his job. As if they arnt the party for freedom of speech.

Yes roommate do and should share cleaning responsibilities. You were the one claiming that the mental load of the home falls on the woman. I was just pointing out that doesn’t have to be the case. What your response to me is describing is friendship. Friendships exist. It doesn’t negate the benefits of a romantic relationship. I’ve addresses them in my earlier comment. It doesn’t take into account many people don’t want to live with a roommate as they get older. It also doesn’t take into account…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 09:50 PM

So in regard to your first point. The difference between having a boyfriend you do 50/50 with vs a roommate is that you are working towards shared goals together. Long term successful relationships require partnership. When the burden is shared it allows you to achieve a greater life together. For example, I can get a house a lot faster putting into savings with a partner vs trying to do it on my own. On top of that I do get love and intimacy and someone I can rely on. If my car breaks down my r…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 08:29 PM

SexualizIng of the body occurs whether or not it is a choice. I live in America and I’m pretty sure the OP for the post I linked does as well. The female body and the male body are not viewed the same. You’re doing mental gymnastics to ignore reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 08:28 PM

Men’s nipples are not sexualized. Male and female bodies are not the same nor or they looked at the same. If a man’s penis was visible because he isn’t wearing underwear yes he’s dressing like a sex worker.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 08:14 PM

Honestly not sure. Just kind of stating that overall his mind could have been complex and comprised of viewpoints that were a mix of both parties. He could be just be radical lol vs being radically left or right. Personally I don’t particularly like this whole idea being spread that college is indoctrinating people. It’s werid to me. /r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:36 PM

It’s not about control. Many people don’t want their partners dressing like sex workers. It’s more about respect for yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:32 PM

Many people arnt comfortable with their partners dressing like sex workers. Such is life.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:31 PM

A lot of people are trying to attach him to a political party and it think it’s ok to be like he’s not representative of either party. He seemed to live a liberal life and suppose this parents claimed he was changed/“indoctrinated” in college. But he was also raised by republicans in a conservative state.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:28 PM

Honestly crazy take to me. Whether or not you wear underwear in public shouldn’t be a reason to throw away your relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:25 PM

I think people need to know when to pick and choose battles especially if your partner is a good to you. Whether or not you respect his wishes for you to wear panties in public shouldn’t really be a battle you’re ready to pick.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:24 PM

It’s fine not to wear a bra. But it’s really shouldn’t be a reason to argue with your significant other. Your bf doesn’t feel comfortable with your nipples showing through your shirt in public then put a bra on.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 06:48 PM

https://np.reddit.com/r/whatdoIdo/s/vhKFrgbskP The comments are crazy. This is why you really can’t ask for relationship advice on Reddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 06:39 PM

Because they understand that many women and men fall on a spectrum in regard to their political views. Most people are not on the extreme end. They also understand that it’s ok to have a difference of opinion. I say that as a pro choice woman dating a man who is pro life.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 02:40 PM

Because they have never listened to Joe Rogan. Also for some reason people can’t grasp the fact that voting for a party doesn’t mean you agree with all their views.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 02:33 PM

I was pissed at him before and came to PPD for advice. This is my second time asking for advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:54 PM

That would be my reaction as well. He was trying to say “if the roles were reversed I would wear stuff that made you comfortable”. But the roles would never be reversed, because if women look at him I still know he’s mine.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:53 PM

I also feel this way. Like if I give into this what is next. I understand your partner guiding you and I understand compromises being made in a relationship. But this feels more like trying to force me to change out of insecurities or possibly lack of trust in me. His whole thing is he doesn’t like men looking at me and I’m giving the impression to them that I’m single. But if you trust me why does that matter. And I’m a pretty girl, men are going to look at me regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:22 PM

Recently he had made comments about my church dresses being about the knee which I threw in his face last night. Because I think my church dresses are fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:20 PM

That’s how I feel too. I do think there are clothing that’s not appropriate that women wear to the gym. However, I don’t feel like I’m wearing that type of clothing. I was ok dropping the leggings with a seam down the asscrack because I feel like they are intended to look more sexual even if it’s covering all of your legs. But overall I feel my clothes are appropriate which is why I feel so adamant about not changing.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:19 PM

He does not. Up until recently when it got hot, he always had a hoodie on in the gym. He’s a retired bodybuilder, still running steroids so he’s in great shape. Wearing the hoodie is something more common this past winter. I don’t know if it’s is way of getting me to cover up more.

You fyp is not a reflection of reality. It’s showing you what you want to see. My second point had nothing to do with research. Women are more likely to go to a doctor in general. They are also more likely to encourage their husbands to go which is why married men on average outlive single men. People don’t just get degrees for money. It might surprise you but some people actually value being educated.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/25 12:01 PM

The women on dating apps are looking to date. After 27 you also have to take into consideration biological clock. Women who arnt interested in a relationship and are happy single are not on apps. Women are more likely to go to a doctor and deal with any issues they have vs a man. The average man in American only makes 500 dollars more after tax than the average woman in America

If a woman doesn’t value sex in her relationship and she isn’t having sex and the husband is being a “good” guy. She isn’t going to consider her relationship a failure. So there will be no resentment. Resentment will occur with cheating because adultery is villainized. It’s seen as one of the worst, if not the worst, things you can do to your partner. And the victim of this will feel that they could have done better but they are essentially stuck with their husband. In regard to it shutting down…

Tons of relationships stay together despite infidelity. Imo the main reasons being: The man doesn’t have the balls to leave. His wife is usually providing value in his life that he won’t get else where and he’s usually also concerned about losing money. Many men don’t want to take care of their children fully on their own and are willing to give up custody but doing that also requires them to pay child support which they don’t want to do. The wife is afraid of financial instability without her h…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/25 06:31 PM

I knew someone who got a girl pregnant the first time he had sex at 13. She was also 13 and kept the baby. He ultimately didn’t support the child for a long time because he was a child and his parents were mad at the girls parents for even encouraging her to keep the baby. I think at his age I would support financial abortion because he was too young to know right from wrong. But grown adults having sex know there’s consequences to sex.

Basically. I consider my grandmother a traditional woman and she did it all. I used her as an example on another comment: https://np.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/s/9k2pVYqHyw Edit: I said some. But the reality is that at one point it was probably most.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/25 05:17 PM

It would be difficult yet some women did it. My grandmother dropped out of school at 11 to support her family. She met my grandfather at 18 and married shortly after. They had 5 kids. She cooked and cleaned their home (kids helped as they got older). She also worked as a manager of a retail store, she was also a Sunday school teacher. My grandfather was the main provider because he was college educated and had a better paying job but her job was still needed for their family.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/25 05:15 PM

Domestic work. She’s still child rearing, still taking care of the home. If you’re going to link anything to a traditional woman it’s domestic work and her role in the children’s lives.

I actually don’t think you’re correct. Are you saying men can’t love their biological children in the same way women do? Also traditional woman does not equate to a woman who doesn’t work.

What is an ultimatum in a relationship, can someone give me an example? For me this is confusing because communication is a necessity for a healthy relationship. If something is a dealbreaker for you that needs to be communicated to your partner. Is the preferred/healthier option to just end the relationship with no explanation?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/25 01:20 PM

Why can’t you get a house without their money? In my head my parents money is for any rainy days they hit when they are older. If they leave me inheritance money I can then use it to grow the wealth I have already achieved for myself throughout my life.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 05:37 PM

By not being careful I mean that I don’t use condoms. The pull out method has been effective for me. I have been on and off birth control throughout my twenties, going on 4 years off now though with no plans of getting back on.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 04:48 PM

My man is not careful about protection, we never used it. The only reason he doesn’t have kids is because of steroid use. I’m not careful about protect either though so can be mad at him. I do think if I knew he had abortions in relationships prior to me I would feel some type of way especially depending on the relationship he had with that woman. It wouldnt necessarily be a dealbreaker but I feel like creating life with someone is something special.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 04:38 PM

If your parents gave you money right now, what would you use it for?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 04:34 PM

Things happen, an accident can occur. Also there’s benefits such as social security when a spouse has passed, protection when acquiring assets, sharing health insurance, etc. If your parents were ok with marriage why did it take one person getting sick to commit to it? They were already in a relationship, recognizing in a legal way would have only benefited them.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/25 12:53 PM

There are legal measures you can take which may or may not hold up. The one legal measure that will hold up in marriage, as you are seen as next of kin immediately. There’s other benefits as well such as being able to get social security from your deceased spouse. Theres also protections if you use to buy assets together. What jobs are you hiring for? Because I know what you’re saying is not accurate to a corporate career. It would be accurate to most fields, if not all fields, I can think of that require a degree.

Filling a 3 month gap with a fast food restaurant is not going to assist in getting you a job in any job that qualifies as a career. Edit: what jobs are you hiring for?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 03:14 PM

3 months is a short period of time, im not sure why you think otherwise. Also in the OP the argument for leaving so quickly is because of a wealth disparity. A fast food job isn’t fixing OPs issue.

If someone isn’t actively not choosing to work for a long period of time that is something different. But 3 months is a short time to decide your marriage isn’t worth fighting for. Also as someone in a corporate job, if I knew a colleague who lost their job I wouldn’t advise them to immediately run out and find a fast food gig. I would if advise them to spend their time applying, and hone in skills to help get another job opportunity in their field.

I would be shocked, given that there’s no kids involved in the scenario I would be happy the trash took itself out. 3 months is a short period of time. If you’re not willing to to go through that short of a low period with someone, you shouldn’t get married in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 12:52 PM

They don’t do much more than that tbh. They make you a meal plan and adjust it week my week and also make a workout plan that rarely gets adjusted. Literally asking for hundreds of dollars for 10 min of work tops a week after making the initial plan.

I don’t think my actions would change. There would probably be less guilt.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/25 03:26 PM

As someone who’s seeing an Ewok for the first time today, I can’t agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 02:53 PM

Yes that’s been disneys thing of late. It’s their way of trying to make more money with the logic being that they will obviously bring in a young audience. But they will also bring in an older audience who view it as nostalgia. They will get me for lilo and stitch but I haven’t seen another live action that excited me. They are saying Snow White live action will actually really hurt Disney financially, given that a ton of people plan to boycott the movie.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 02:52 PM

I just googled Ewok and I actually have no clue what this is and I’ve never seen it before in my life. When I initially responded to you I thought an ewok was a Wookiee.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 02:49 PM

I don’t know much about Ewok especially at 5 years old when the cartoon movie came out. So for me it was new and fun. It’s a great storyline as well. Even as a little kid you understand the love of family and the fear of being separated from family so I feel it resonates with all ages.

Lilo and stitch trailer came out and I’m so excited about it!

This is your daily reminder that the pay gap is a myth.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 01:23 PM

There’s a book called hood feminism and it talks about how fighting for equal pay is just about women in already privileged positions trying to get into more privileged positions. Unequal pay does not exist in the vast majority of fields.

The only thing I care about on this list is paying for first date
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 01:17 PM

It’s a high earning field where the work life balance is often not bad. Back when I was single doctors weren’t an option for me because even though they would make money, I imagined that they would spend a lot of time working. But I’m also in tech so not meshing with an engineer is not something I consider.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 12:36 AM

I know on the date if there will be a next date. I only have good dates because if they are boring I entertain myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/25 12:00 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 11:59 PM

Why don’t you date engineers. That would be my top field to date.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 11:57 PM

My man would leave me because he would be very upset that I’m not actually pregnant.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 11:56 PM

Whether or not is the best decision was never the argument. The other individual was arguing that society is encouraging on to be self autonomous. I disagree with that and point out housing is an example of how society is changing in a way to push us to be in relationships. If someone managed to stay in a sub par relationship for the majority of their twenties I would trust more that they were capable of having a successful relationship over someone who made it to their 30s with no relationship …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 09:56 PM
2

Well yes, the person I’m responding to is speaking about modern society. A current economic problem would count as modern. I also mentioned in another comment that most people don’t intend to go through life with their best bud. Most people would not want a roommate in their 30s. So the solution that these people would naturally lean into is a relationship. Romantic relationships are still very much normalized more so than having a roommate past your 20s.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 08:19 PM

I didn’t change the argument at all. I said it is unrealistic for a person to have a good quality of life without a partner. And I said that society is the cause of that. You assumed that I was talking about emotional bonding. When I said society I meant the economy. I then in another comment gave the example of housing being something that is forcing people to be in relationships. My examples have only served to explain my first point further. The average person doesn’t make enough to be able t…

What does insurance plans have to do with people splitting cost for housing? The article literally explains that’s why people who are not single are not struggling as much. They are splitting bills with one another. Housing is a necessity. We are literally in a society that has made being in a relationship a necessity for survival. In theory we should only be entering relationship because we want to. Theory doesn’t always apply to the reality of what life is in present day.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 07:20 PM

I’m not sure where you live but in America relationships are absolutely a need for many people to survive, it has nothing to do with needing someone as an emotional crutch. https://www.redfin.com/news/single-people-struggle-to-afford-housing-survey/

/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 06:02 PM

I disagree with that. It is actually unrealistic for the average person to live a good quality of life as a single individual for many years now. I would argue that society is pushing people to lean on relationships more than ever. And most people are not planning on going through life with their best bud. They instead plan on finding a romantic partner. The inability to acquire one for long periods of time indicates a character flaw.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 05:59 PM

I think this way about both genders. For me it’s not necessarily if you’re single. It’s if you have made it to that age and were unable to have long lasting relationships. Any woman or man who was 35 and managed to not have a long lasting romantic relationships would be a red flag for me.

Depending on the age I would think the individual had something wrong with them that they were unable to maintain/attain a long term relationship. I would probably also assume that they would be a difficult partner to be with. For example, if someone (applies to both men and women) spent a majority of their adult life single and living alone they have things about their life they are use to and won’t be willing to budge on. Their ability/willingness to compromise is less than someone who has bee…

What does anything I state have to do with respect? Are you under the impression that people don’t feel protective over the things they have worked hard for?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 02:46 PM

I don’t think it is. I think it also applies to women. I make a lot of money, I work hard for my money. I can’t imagine a man sitting at home not working and telling me how the money I make should be spent. I can recognize that if I was the sole provider for a home that I would have very tight purse strings on the household money and possibly be considered financially abusive. That is human nature.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 02:11 PM

It means that if put in a position to take advantage a man will. For example, a woman that doesn’t have her own money is less likely to leave if a man cheats and a man would know that.

/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/25 08:07 PM

Are you talking about any man commenting on dating spaces? I would guess most men on ppd who want a traditional woman don’t want that because they want a woman to rely on them. If you are talking about red pill influencers, their motivation is money.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 09:59 PM
-2

I don’t see what being in the manosphere or being a passport bro has anything to do with it. These men saying they want a traditional relationship, I don’t see them saying they want a stay at home wife. So the conclusion you’ve come to that they want a woman who can’t leave seems false.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 09:53 PM
-1

I actually don’t think so. I think that most men who say they want a traditional woman, want a woman who makes them feel like they are the leader in the relationship. The unfortunate thing is that a lot of men seem unable to do enough to make their woman feel comfortable enough to relax and let him lead.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 09:40 PM

Not really. My bf enjoys it, but only certain skits.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 07:20 PM

It’s not being paid for that. This individual lost their passport and had to get another.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:40 PM

It isn’t performative when she will ultimately experience life through the lens of a black individual. People who don’t know this woman will view her and treat her how they would treat other black people. Thats the real reason I would have no issue calling her black, because she’s taken significant steps to actually live the perceptive of the identity she claims.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:39 PM

If a white individual turned themself black I would recognize them as black. For example, I would have no issue recognizing this woman as a black woman https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martina_Big
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:18 PM

It’s my own. But just because someone chooses otherwise doesn’t mean we have to abide by their choice. If a white individual asked you to recognize that they are black despite having no black lineage you would not.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:07 PM

I never said anything about clothes. Someone can be wearing a dress and still look and be a man. In the majority of cases sex often does match visual representation.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:06 PM

Yes, visually the person in the post I linked looks like a woman. It’s more confusing imo to put their biological sex when they look nothing like it. What other things is it used for besides identifying someone visually? Edit: I’m not trying to imply anything. I’m literally stating an opinion clearly
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 05:55 PM

Why would I address a man, who looks like a man, as a woman? I’m a quarter Indian. Most people who dont live in diverse environments immediately assume I’m fully black, I’m half. I don’t demand that people recognize my Indian side. I recognize that I don’t look Indian and it’s silly to make emphasis of that to complete strangers.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 05:53 PM

Lily Tino looks like a man and should be address as such until he takes the necessary steps to look like a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 05:45 PM

In terms of the context of the video they changed her passport to male. She looks like a woman, sounds like a woman. I would think it’s more confusing for someone who has to look at her passport in the airport to see M for male. Biological gender should definitely be acknowledged in sports. But in this context it seems useless to acknowledge it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 05:44 PM

https://np.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/s/RHbXsEUkIQ I do think if someone looks like a woman and wants to be called a woman we should oblige. This individual has taken the steps to be called a female.

My man is a natural financial provider. I moved less than 2 months after meeting him and he surprised me at ny apartment with dishes. We were serious for a while and he would still buy groceries for me. He’s paid my rent in the past, pays for things for my business, pays for things with my car. He comes from a background where women often don’t have the best jobs and men are just expect to cover a lot of the cost so for him this is just the norm of being a man.

I think ENM is more popular nowadays because of people’s fear of missing out. Not because people naturally gravitate to being in a relationship with more than one person. I am fulfilled sexually and emotionally with my one person so I don’t see why I would need another.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/25 09:57 PM

I don’t think so. I think it’s definitely what the initial message/messages are. But as I mentioned in another comment, if a woman have mutuals with someone I feel like she’s automatically going to be more open to getting to know you vs you being a complete stranger in her head.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 05:17 PM

Yes the first scenario is what I was thinking of. If you have mutuals with someone, they are more inclined to give you time vs a complete stranger.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 04:55 PM

I have a friend whose relationship started in a similar way. Her family and her bfs family were acquaintances that were at the same wedding. They are Indian and it would have been inappropriate to approach her in front of her family. Her now husband, found her ig after the wedding, and started talking to her that way. My first interaction with my bf was also through Instagram.

Something I don’t see mentioned a lot here, sliding into someone’s DMs might be the best way to go about partnering up. /r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:31 PM

Actually multiple people understood what I was saying and someone actually commented to you backing up my point about illegals.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:27 PM

Someone who is illegal is an immigrant that just came here. Yes they could be people on visas but becoming an American citizen is not something that happens overnight.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:24 PM

I should have said illegal immigrant. I assumed that was understood when I said an immigrant that just came here. There is nothing we can do about legal citizens. I am talking about people who are against deportation and believe that people who are not here legally have equal right to be here.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:17 PM

I don’t think they are our business. We can’t support everyone. Legal Americans need to be priority before we give charity to anyone else. I am not a huge fan of getting rid of student debt. But I would much prefer to see our government money go to that before it goes to support people who arnt here legally.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:14 PM

Illegal immigrants who are here came here of their own accord and chose to stay in a country unlawfully. That’s their choice. No one forced them to do that. Also there are people who have just come to this country illegally and they havent even given anything back at all to the country. Yet people think they have a right to be here.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:12 PM

It looks like understanding that if you are an American especially several generations that you have a right to the country. I didn’t say to implement anything. I just see people of all races who think people here who arnt even here legally have an equal right to the country. That’s a dumb thing for them to have told themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:10 PM

No.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 05:54 PM

People who come from generations of people who have built this country absolutely do deserve to be first in line to the opportunities that their ancestors created for them. To say America is the land of immigrants as if generations of people haven’t been living here for years is to try and disregard the hard work that people have put in to make this country. Giving money to someone is a form of physical intimacy. The woman is sharing her need and the man is choosing to help her. That requires closeness. Also the definition of mutually beneficial is “When two people or groups work together to achieve a shared goal”. If a man’s goal is for the woman he is with to be comfortable and her goal is to be comfortable then him giving her money is mutually beneficial.

/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 10:31 PM

Yes I understand that, aside from the therapy isnt gender affirming care elective surgeries? I sounds like this is something that he should be against. I also don’t get what thought process is compelling a bishop to plead for this?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 04:26 PM

Does he persecute them? Saying they are two genders I would say is far from persecuting someone. I think it’s a little weird a bishop would advocate for that. I was trying to figure out if it was more to it than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 04:11 PM

I don’t get the bishop asking trump to show mercy. What does she want him to do? Especially asking for mercy for lgbt community. Like what’s going on that he needs to show mercy about?

There are women who think a man is commitment worth because of the facade he puts up. The definition of being mentions the use of manipulation for an individual to get what they want.

As someone who prefers trump and probably any republican candidate over a democrat at this point, I will also say I am disappointed with Elon involvement.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 05:00 PM

Didn’t watch the inauguration and any info I have from it is from Reddit. Whats I’ve seen being discussed, Carrie underwood performance and Elon musk. the Elon musk thing was very weird and cringe. Someone said he’s trying to be a rebellious teenager and I have to agree, embarrassing. Carrie underwoods technical difficulties were unfortunate but she sang beautifully. I guess people on Reddit don’t want to highlight that because videos keep cutting the performance short and not actually showing u…

Ok? What evidence is there that men are more ok with being cheated on now than in the past? Edit: are you saying it’s 50/50 and women are just a likely to leave now due to infidelity?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:53 PM

I do believe men are less likely to leave for other reasons. I think that is mainly because men are attacked more for leaving a marriage. They are seen as abandoning their family even if they intend to still be an active father. Women are given the option to pursue their happiness. Men are not.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:51 PM

Men are more likely to leave if their wife cheats. “61% of men who cheated are still married, while 34% are separated or divorced. But only 44% of women who have cheated are still married, and 47% are divorced or separated.” I think that makes sense. It’s the same way men here view n count on a woman differently than on a man. A woman having sex is seen as a bigger deal than a man having sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:33 PM

There’s a lot of “pious” men who cheat. My grandfather also cheated on my grandmother their whole marriage and he was a pastor. I would say the two big indicators to if infidelity will occur in your marriage is social status/money. My uncle is grotesque but he’s a head doctor in a hospital and makes enough to support multiple families. From what I know most of his mistresses (if not all) have been financially desperate. But in my opinion it would be silly for a single woman to reject a man becau…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:26 PM

Both the average man and the average woman is going to end up struggling financially after a divorce especially if kids are involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:19 PM

I think I fall into the 50/50 category. There are things you listed that I just don’t care to deal with. I like him driving, I like to pick dinner. I like him dealing with the house stuff. Funny enough both me and my bf have businesses and I hate to deal with anything with my business and often have him handle it and he doesn’t enjoy dealing with things in his business but I enjoy it. So we are often making decisions for one another’s business.

Most people don’t have the patience to wait for an individual for months and months and I say that as a woman. I’m not going to go six months without having sex because a man is vetting me that long.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:13 PM
1

And what’s stopping a man from just agreeing in order to get what they want?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:12 PM

I’ve always understood why people would stay in marriages with infidelity, especially women. It’s hard to be a single mom, hard to split bills and possibly struggle, depending on culture a broken family is looked down upon , etc. And for awhile I was like I get it, if it happened to me and I was married I would consider staying. But it’s hit me, it’s such a waste to give your life to an individual who repeatedly shows you they don’t love and respect you. My aunt stayed with my uncle for 35 years…

It’s also easier to do in today’s age when people arnt meeting others through third groups and are predominantly meeting online where the main form of communication is texting. Or it could means that sex isn’t something trivial for some women, which is why the guy had to lie about his intentions to get sex in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 02:17 PM
8

The discussion is not about if it’s right or wrong that someone is being used. It’s just about how it occurs. OP is claiming that being used for sex basically doesn’t happen. If a man enjoys the date why would it matter that the woman lied to him just to get a free meal? Maybe because people go into interactions expecting a certain outcome and it’s disappointing when you were deceived about what that outcome would be.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 02:16 PM
1

I didn’t say that at all. Being used as nothing to do with regret. I actually said nothing about regret so I don’t know where you’re getting that from.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 02:12 PM

I did not use the word consent as if to imply assault, that is literally the actual definition from google. Consent in this regard just means that you may not have agreed had you known the truth. You can recognize that someone used you and you can also recognize you made poor decisions/judgement. Both things can be true at the same time.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 05:40 AM
12

When someone is using someone they are aware of their intentions. If you had a genuine interest and then lost interest then no that isn’t using someone. However, there are women who go on dates just for the free meal and are well aware that they have no interest in the guy. Those women are using the men for free meals.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 05:01 AM
143

From Google: “Being used” means someone is taking advantage of you for their own benefit, often without your full understanding or consent. It can also mean someone is manipulating you in some way. If a woman pretends to like a man just to get his money then he is being used for his money. Because he is under the belief the she genuinely likes him but the reality is that she is being manipulative for her benefit. Had she been honest there’s a chance he would not give her any money. The same thin…

I mean women can also do this as well. If people work hard for their stuff they are entitled to it and they have a right to take whatever avenues there are to protect their assets. I have two homes. Legally if I were to get married my husband would be entitled to half of them. I bought these homes as a single woman, why should he be entitled to something I worked hard for long before I knew him?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/25 10:43 PM

Maybe. I think I’m somewhat of an overachiever. I have a plan for my life and obviously my partner is a big part of that. Their mess ups can’t fuck up the plan. And I think maybe I don’t trust my partners to not fuck up.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 10:04 PM

There are multiple aspects of my life that are easier because my bf is in my life. But being with someone does add a stress to my life that wouldn’t be there if I was single. For me it was sunk cost. I think I convinced myself that even though was unhappy there was no better situation. I would either be alone and unhappy or with someone worse and unhappy. Sometimes you can’t see beyond your own misery and visualize a better future. The reality is that being alone is better than being with someone you’re unhappy with. But I didn’t realize it at the time.

Women often face harsher consequences/judgment for speaking up. In a professional setting a man being assertive is a good thing, a woman being assertive is her being a nag/bitch/difficult/etc. You’ve also brought women not taking initiative in dating but why would they? Gender roles are still normalized in our society. Taking initiative means to be the first one to do something, esp. to solve a problem. Women do take initiative in various areas of life. I am confused by your responses I was looking for clarity. Women making the same money as men doing the same role seems very relevant to me. That alone shows that the wage gap is a myth. From what I recall it exist in two fields tech (the field I’m in) and medical field. The discrepancy in tech is 4% which after tax you’re possibly talking about as low as a 200 dollar difference. Yes, that’s the discussion at hand and I’ve stated the reasons I think that is. Someone can be disregarding their vows and also not initiating divorce. Filing paperwork is not step one in marriage vows being abandoned.

I don’t think it has anything to do with abiding by their vows. I think it’s a mix of what I said and also someone mentioned men being afraid of divorce court (forgot to add that into my initial comment).

I think that women have a lower threshold of being able to stay in relationships that they are unhappy with. It’s also possible that maybe they are less likely to seek gratification elsewhere and instead focus on leaving the relationship that makes them unhappy. They are the only group (male/male, female/male, female/female) where a majority percentage of relationships experience infidelity. This su…

Lol my place in society? Someone referring to you using your husband’s name because that’s the norm is an attempt to erase your personhood? Sir you know nothing about me and it’s pretty clear that you’re at a loss for how to try and defend this nonsense so have a good day.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 08:28 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 08:05 PM

Someone sending a letter that refers to a married couple as a common way to refer to married couples isn’t forcing anything on them. If your wife was this bothered by someone referring to her as your wife you probably should be a bit concerned.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 07:24 PM

People arnt going to have a blaring sign that show contempt for their partners. It’s the small things like this. When you marry someone you become one. Why would you be this upset that someone is making a reference to you in that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 07:04 PM

https://np.reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/s/go7nQUDxXt So many people secretly hate their partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 06:50 PM

Generic baddie pretty much goes hand in hand. Baddie is a certain look, which Megan currently has alongside with many other women on Instagram. Imo I don’t think she stand out anymore. Young Megan fox had a unique sultry look. To be fair I think even that version of Megan had work done but her work has become too extreme and replicates too much of what other women are getting done.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 06:14 PM

https://np.reddit.com/r/trueratecelebrities/s/BQ4v2T4TGH Angelina in her 30s is stunning and by no means a generic beauty. She’s more than 10 years older than Megan so comparing them currently isn’t really fair.

But I would say all the topics you’ve listed are similar to top free advocacy. They are ideas that haven’t gotten very far. Unlike top free advocacy I wouldn’t say these ideas are being advocated for in mainstream spaces so OPs claim that they are taking criticism and yet standing my their ideas I would say doesn’t really apply.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/24 03:25 AM

What are these deeply unpopular ideas that men advocate for? I disagree with the reasoning behind why movements fail that women take up. I would say the real reason is that not enough women are behind it. For example you brought up a cause “top free advocacy” that i as a woman do not care about. I think where you are likely to see change is on ideas that are supported significantly by both genders.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/24 05:10 AM

What percentage has to do with multiple marriages? Even if the percentage is 40 percent for the divorce rate, there’s most likely higher than 10 percent of married couples who choose not to divorce simply because they don’t believe in it. Meaning the percentage of marriages that fail are still a majority.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 11:01 PM

I don’t think looks out weigh it. But money probably does. Financial instability is the number one reason for divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 08:23 PM
1

I don’t think many people go into marriage expecting to become distant from their partner but I definitely think it’s the norm. 50 percent of marriages end in divorce and theres a percentage that stay together simply because they don’t believe in divorce. With those numbers it means that most marriages ultimately fail.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 08:22 PM
2

Being married to someone you don’t want to hang out with I would say is the norm for most married couples eventually. That shouldn’t be something hard to imagine. When people start out they have stuff to talk about because they don’t know one another. As the relationship progresses and your life becomes intertwined you have those things to talk about. People who don’t enjoy one another’s company from the very start except for sex don’t end up in long term relationships with one another.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 02:48 PM
8

Depending on how much status and money is apart of the equation I would say it works. It’s pretty easy to read about men cheating on their wives and their wives staying because of the money their husbands make. There’s a lot of couples who end up having nothing to talk about even the ones who didn’t chase money or status. People becoming distant from their partner is fairly the normal.

What is the benefit of porn? If someone is against porn how does that correlate with being weak or insecure? This post is trying to normalize sex work but doesn’t do anything to tell us why it should be normalized.

I’m confused by the argument. How does me picking my own partner remove security? What does a 16 year old with clear trauma and issues ending up with a predator have to do with liberty?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/24 08:38 PM

B.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/24 02:58 PM

I think when the women are very young it often is about being predatory. A 35 year old man can find a woman in her late 20s that looks youthful. Going after an 18 year old has nothing to do with looking for youth.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/24 01:06 PM

What I’ve seen referenced on here is that women prefer men 1-3 years older than them. The large age gaps that are often are referenced on PPD are not common and from my understanding chances of divorce increase the larger the age gap. The people with age gap relationships often criticize men who go after women in their late teens/early twenties. These women don’t have life experience and so it is easier to prey on them. I say that as a woman who was an age gap relationship at 19. My ex was 7 yea…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 08:53 PM

No. I gave an example of an unnecessary change I, as a woman, could make.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 04:48 PM

My point being that if your interested in a successful relationship, your partners opinion will matter to you. A large part of attraction is physical. Someone can be a good partner and not be attracted to their partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 04:46 PM

Men get upset by this too. I’m pretty sure if I cut my hair off into a bob my bf would be upset. Kind of weird to make unnecessary changes that would make your partner less attracted to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 04:31 PM

My bf loves ufc and every time I watch it with him and see these men rolling around with one another I think to myself “this is a little gay”. So I’m going to say yes, masculinity is kinda gay.

The last time I was single, what matter to me in a long term relationship was a partner that was Christian. I had dated a man I deemed an atheist once and I determined that was an absolute no go. I thought any religious man would be ok but when I dated a Muslim man the idea of my children becoming Muslim and not Christian repulsed me. It was important to me that they were ambitious and had a way of paying significant bills. I have no issue going 50/50 or as close to it as possible with a partner…

I don’t have countless men vying for my friendship. Probably the only characteristic that would turn me off in a friend is a man that is abusive to people. But I don’t look for certain things to say “yes now this guy can be my friend”. I have one close male friend and the friendship bloomed naturally. We met at work and were assigned on a project together. We got along well, maybe that’s because we were the only two people in the job for a particular town. We chit chatted a lot and it’s bloomed …

I would say my bf has some redpill views. He believes money is a pretty big factor in who women choose to be with. He believes women who are overly showing their skin are looking for attention. He believes that many women who are so upset about abortion laws are upset because they want sleep around and then use abortion as a means of birth control. He came to his views largely on his own. The only redpill content he’s ever watched was probably a little bit of Andrew Tate and he felt like they sa…

I don’t care how much a guy makes exactly but I care if about if he would able to pull his weight financially if we were to live together. I don’t care how much a guy spends on a date. Both me and my bf eat out a lot but at local spots, we also don’t drink. Our bill is typically under 100. I think it’s crazy that people are doing dates that are 200+ dollars. When in a relationship I have no issue spending on my guy, and I have no issue going 50/50 on bills. I do like when a guy makes the effort …

I think if a man wants sex within the first 6-8 weeks of a relationship that’s a realistic expectation. But I don’t see how they can communicate that without it seeming to only be about sex. I can see a man not having that conversation not because he’s trying to con or shame a woman, but because it’s overall a difficult convo to have with someone you don’t really know.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/24 11:41 PM
21

If they have those conversations early on they will kill all their relationships prospects. If a guy i barely knew was telling me about his sex expectations, I’m going to immediately think he’s only interested in sex and not even bother to meet him.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/24 07:58 PM

Fildelity is not conditional. Someone is going to either give it or not. A similar amount of men and women will get cheated on. And the men and women who cheat are still in a minority group.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 03:14 PM

So what is the difference between you and someone born with testicles? Do you suffer from ED? Are you able to have children one day? I think those would be the first questions out of my mouth if I was told this by a guy. I wouldn’t look at him any differently, I would just wonder how it would affect our relationship long term.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 07:36 AM

As a woman whose also into fitness I can get the annoyance. Often times the influencers that are being pushed by the algorithm are naturally skinny women who are just trying to show their ass for attention. I don’t see the same reactions to women who are into bodybuilding. But those women usually don’t but a camera under their ass when they are trying to show what they do on back day.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 09:33 PM

Most men do offer this. The majority of men in heterosexual relationships don’t cheat. And cheating statistically is about the same for both genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 08:57 PM
2

If you are going to characterize someone as submissive then obviously you lead the question is your favor. Would you assume a dominant man is into role playing sexual assaulting women? Cause that what the OP is claiming.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 07:24 PM
3

Being a good guy has nothing to do with if you’ve allowed porn to affect your brain.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 07:07 PM
4

A man can be dominant in bed without participating in the kinks that OP is discussing. Also OP is claiming that good guys have a moral issue with these kinks so they treat women in general different because of their moral views. I would say that is incorrect seeing as though those are fairly common kinks.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 07:05 PM
5

If a guy is into CNC or not is not an indication of is he’s a good guy. He’s just not into that. If he has a moral dilemma with it that I would say is on him. Most “good guys” have no moral dilemma. Porn has done a pretty good job of normalizing the kinks your discussing.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 06:57 PM
2

Impact in what way? On a day to day basis based on how people interact you are able to determine what sexual kinks they have?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 06:51 PM
24

I know multiple men who consider themselves a “good guy” simply because they won’t cheat. That’s literally the bare minimum you can offer in a relationship. And most of the time the reason they won’t cheat is because they would struggle to find another woman who wants to sleep with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 05:31 PM
5

I think that a lot of your post is bringing in topics that are irrelevant and that’s where my confusion/issue is. You can say “nice guys” struggle with dating because they do not execute their actions with confidence. And maybe I could agree with that. But “nice guys” have no moral dilemma with CNC, they have no issue with domination. They don’t have a stronger moral framework than “chad” or the “bad guys”. Most of the “nice guys” I’ve met are not respectful, gentle, or considerate of women’s fe…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 05:29 PM

Own them in what way? Most people are not demonstrating their kinks publicly. Also when I say that someone’s personality outside of the bedroom doesn’t determine what kinks they are into that also goes for “Chad” or the “bad guy”. These men are not guaranteed to be into the kinks you’re discussing.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 05:14 PM
19

I disagree with this take completely. The kinks you are describing are common from my knowledge. I don’t equate a nice guy with not having those kinks. I actually think someone’s personality outside of the bedroom has little reflection on what they would be into sexually.

Femininity is defined by a set of characteristics. So is masculinity. It’s not something vague that is subjective. If a woman demonstrates multiple masculine characteristics such as being assertive, aggressive, stoic, self reliant, dominant, etc. I would consider her masculine. I think it’s normal for a woman to have one or two characteristics that are masculine. But more than that and I would probably consider them a masculine woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 03:28 PM

I agree with this take. I don’t personally believe it’s a gender issue. I think it’s just a people issue. A lot of people don’t care about their partner. the way they expect their partner to care about them.

I expect this would be a deal breaker for most women and that it would lead to either the man agreeing to not move forward with it or divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 07:06 PM

But you agree that she has to first be informed before you have sex with the other woman correct?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 05:07 PM

There are couples who encounter this issue and choose to open their relationship. That’s perfectly fine. Seeking outside of the relationship without your partners consent would be an issue. No one is obligated to stay celibate and if someone feels their partner is trying to force celibacy on them they should come to a solution with their partner or terminate the relationship.

I wouldn’t date a man my family wouldn’t approve of. I did it once, fought with my family throughout the whole relationship. When we broke up I regretted fighting with the people that have been by my side consistently over a man. Income, college education, religious background, whether or not he has kids are all things my parents would care about. Physical appearance is not something my family would care about.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 01:20 PM

His money doesn’t belong to him? I think I’m pretty well off financially. I dont believe money buys you happiness. But I think it gives you opportunities to achieve happiness.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 09:18 PM

The stats are werid. I think the claim is that over 60 percent of young adults now meet online. But as lift mentioned i think online could mean multiple things aside from apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 09:17 PM

When I came back recently from my PPD hiatus someone in the mega thread mentioned that’s there’s a woman whose very active on PPD but doesn’t come into the mega thread and he’s happy about that. After hanging out here for a little bit recently, I now realize who he’s talking about. And I’m also happy she doesn’t come in the megathread.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 09:15 PM

If he is unhappy with how she’s acting i would advise him to leave. Even if he were to manage to change her, long term it would probably just lead to resentment in her part which would ultimately kill the relationship.

So your intent was the start ANY conversation? Cause the conversations are all pointing out how easy it appears to be a woman dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 11:51 PM

It didnt. You claiming that those risk exist but then showing a woman who is doesn’t feel like she’s at risk for those things and doesn’t show herself experiencing your claims doesn’t start any conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 02:53 PM

There are influencers who openly share when they don’t feel sure about dates they went on. Nothing you showed in your OP shows the risks you claim. The woman you posted got into a car with a complete stranger to then go to a spa and where a small bathing suit around him.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 01:24 PM

Not really. If she had unpleasant dates she can reveal that, there’s nothing wrong with sharing her story. But their woman didn’t have that. What larger point still holds? That women get to be treated to nice dates multiples times a week?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 09:20 AM

If you’re trying to say women don’t have it easy, you picked a pretty bad example to do so.

This wasn’t the OPs experience and obviously not a worry for her given that she was happy to be picked up from her home for her first date and then taken to an intimate spa where she was in a small bath suit.

Has the way couple interacted with one another sexually changed? Intimacy can dwindle because of kids, emotional needs not being met, busy work schedules, etc. I assume that has always been the case throughout history. Yet people still expected their partners to be faithful.

Why would I google mobile? Even in the richest areas of America having a six figure salary puts you above average. Edit: If anything all you’re saying is you’re even more exceptional in mobile than you already were in Manhattan.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 02:42 PM

Men especially young men are sexually abused all the time. But he’s right, people don’t take or seriously what is there really to be done? A woman would immediately recognize her trauma from those incidents because we are taught about female agency in regards to sex. Men are just expected to want it all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 02:34 PM

Only 18 percent of Americans make six figures. You have done better than the majority of the population if you’re making that amount. Only 38 percent of people over age 25 have a bachelors degree. So being college educated still puts you in minority. The woman you described should be proud of her accomplishments. She’s in a minority of people who accomplished it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 02:28 PM

I’m not terribly against it if you’re a woman in your 30s and desperate to be a mom. But it’s definitely a poor decision in your 20s.

There’s a post on relationship advice where the couple is fighting because the gf doesn’t want the bf to track his macros when she’s around. That made me write my initial comment. I do disagree though that people who throw in the towel get the short end of the stick. 50 percent of marriages fail and there is a decent portion of marriages that have failed but people just don’t divorce. Yes. I would guess in every long term relationship, people have multiple conversations where someone is like “hey this is an issue for me”. Idk how many people threaten to leave because people don’t feel comfortable giving their partners ultimatums. This is not just a woman issue. One common thing I’ve seen men complain about is not receiving enough sexual intimacy. They voice this concern to their partner and it’s brushed off as not important. I did communicate it. I think in most long term relationships, the issues are communicated to some degree. The partner that is ultimately left often times doesn’t care to fix the issue. Maybe they think it’s not that big of a deal, maybe they got too comfortable, maybe they think their partner is too insecure to actually leave. But often times people do communicate issues and it’s only after they walk away does the other person want to fix things.

My bf is against watching porn, for both myself and for him. I get his logic.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 05:11 PM

For sure. The past is relevant but I do think most of us live fairly boring lives and don’t have much relevant in our past that would completely throw off a partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 05:01 PM

Men are free to focus on whatever want. I specified “men on here” because the average man isn’t obsessing over the past of women because he knows most women have pretty normal past.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 05:00 PM

The past speaks about what you value. So people should take into consideration things that are important to them. Men on here focus on things that don’t apply to the majority of women. That’s why you guys get the responses you do. Because the past for most people is irrelevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 04:55 PM

How would I have found that out? If there’s photos or video idk. Depending on the situation I’m not sure if that’s something I could move past. But then again my bf did something similar to onlyfans back in the day and that didn’t bother me.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 04:50 PM

Was just thinking this when I had server issues this morning. Reddit is the only social media platform that I consistently experience glitches with.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 04:48 PM

Well if that’s something he’s into, I’m not into it. So already there’s a sexual incompatibility. Even if it was something his gf was interested in. A man I’m interested in, wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 04:47 PM

Is this actually what happened? I was confused on on if it’s an accusation he denying or if he actually had sex with the girl. Also charges were never brought against him right? I feel like the way it’s been presented would lead people to think charges were brought against him and he was acquitted.

How long were they together? For short term relationships, I think people initially are infatuated and when the dust settles maybe they realize they don’t actually have anything in common with the person they are dating. This has happened to me. For long term relationships. I think unmet needs and growing resentment can lead people to falling out of love. This has also happened to me and overall I think it’s fairly common thing.

People take turns. Also something to remember is everyone isn’t working a traditional 9 to 5. So one partners schedule might allow them to easily drop the baby to day care, pick them up, stay up later, etc. People also lean on their support system. I have no doubt that when/if I have kids my mom will be a massive help in taking care of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 02:20 PM

The kids of SAHMs in my family especially the girls ended up as low self esteem women with little ambition. And I get it. These SAHMs are more likely to face abuse to some degree that they have to stay in due to financial dependency. They set poor examples.

I think something important to distinguish is, does your partner do something that they are asking you not to do. He doesn’t want you to have instagram but he has it. You can’t hang out with people of the opposite gender but he does it. That’s all control in my opinion. Even then, If you’re being asking to do something and you don’t want to then you can leave. Too many people waste time with someone trying to force a relationship that has clear incompatibility.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 01:16 PM

They want to get married, women are not being forced to get married. Women value marriage. They don’t value it only if it’s with the top percent of men. They value it with the majority of men.

Men will have social power with women who want a decent life. Women on welfare shouldn’t even be a concern for decent men. Men should already see that woman as too low quality to consider. The issue is a majority of men are considering all women as viable candidates for longterm relationships. They are not setting high standards for themselves.

Women still want to get married. You can maybe argue if you like that women want top percent for casual sex but women do want long term relationships. If that is off the table if they have nothing to offer they will change. I’m just talking about the dating market, that is what the OP is about.

Men are half the population. If a good portion of men choose to act a certain way, society will be forced to adjust and appease them.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 07:55 AM

Oh ok. Your post seemed like you were saying society on a whole needs to hold women to a higher standard but i think overall this is something men have to address and fix.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/24 08:01 PM

Ok I understand that. But what I would propose is that men don’t date women at all that don’t meet a higher standard. Women who are not fit, unaccomplished, etc, will ultimately pair up with their male equivalent or not pair up at all. Unaccomplished women landing accomplished men has been normalized because men are willing to date these women. We are just normalizing what’s already occurring.

What other ones?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/24 07:13 PM

But isn’t it on men to hold uphold a standard. Why are men accepting unaccomplished women as partners? Why are they accepting women who are not in a healthy bmi as partners?

The main question seems to be: does a wife who participated in a lot of casual sex pre marriage have the same bond with her casual partners as she does with her husband. It seems like to me like it would be obvious that the bond is significantly deeper. I even think about how I felt for my bf the first year of our relationship vs now, it my love for him doesn’t even compare. If her casual partners were one night stands I would expect that there was no bond at all. A lot of women don’t have a ton…

Yes. If there was a cultural shift in how sexual women are perceived and how women are taught about sex in general you would see more promiscuous women.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 06:30 PM

I complete agree with your sentiment. Most pro choice people are just pro birth. The life seems to have less value once it breathes fresh air. Maybe I just grew up differently. My mother is religious she was the daughter of a Methodist pastor and something she always told me since I was young was that we know what the Bible teaches, but everyone still has a right to the life they choose for themselves. We don’t have to agree with someone’s lifestyle for them to have a right to it. God gives us t…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 06:29 PM

Protect them in what way? I can’t make decisions for other people. God gives everyone choice. He doesn’t expect me to control anyone’s life.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 06:16 PM

So I do believe that every Christian should be spreading the word of Jesus. But I think that is best done through how you live your life and how you treat others. Screaming at someone that they are committing a sin when they are just trying to survive isn’t going to inspire anyone to give their life to Jesus.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 06:13 PM

I agree. Maybe that argument can be made for high school girls or late teens. But by your mid 20s every woman would absolutely look better with makeup than without. Women who do the natural thing do a disservice to themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 05:46 PM

As a Christian it’s so weird to me to see other Christians so passionate about abortion and being pro life. One thing you learn as a Christian is that you are only accountable for your sins. Why should I care what some random woman is doing with her body? It’s not like I have to take responsibility for her sins.

My mom didn’t have an issue when I was 26 dating my bf who was 34. She did have an issue when I was 19 dating a 26 year old. Being an adult with life experience dating another adult with life experience is different than being someone straight out of high school dating someone with life experience.

Yes people believe gay men are promiscuous yet we arnt discussing their n count every week. Men are not shamed for having sex. Gay men being banned has more to do with people linking aids to that community.

We were discussing promiscuity and a commenter claimed it was because men’s libido were higher. I simply said that it had to do with the fact that men are not shamed for sex. Women would be having a lot more sex if they were not shamed for it. I never said gay men didn’t face struggles. You are projecting and going onto topics that are not relevant.

I would have him get a bodybuilding coach. A good coach would cost a little over 300 a month. For the sake of a competition we would also have him run a steroid cycle or two. Money would be allocated towards food for the meal plan, gym membership, and steriods. Depending on his facial structure we would get fillers. The focus would be creating defining facial structure. How exactly would a woman fresh out of high school know if she’s being taken advantage of by an older man? He’s going to have years on her in regards to manipulation tactics. Adult women can do whatever they want. At 18 you can make a lot of decisions. It doesn’t mean it’s the correct decisions. Young women and young men as well are going to make a lot of poor decisions because they don’t have the knowledge and experience to properly navigate life. I think I agree. For a long time I thought living together should be normalized especially in this economy. But as I get older I don’t think it’s something I would be up for if I wasn’t engaged at least. I have a cousin whose been living with a guy for 4 years and she’s waiting for a ring. Both of them are mid/late 30s and I’m starting to think he’s just using her for cheaper rent till he finds the women he actually wants to marry.

It wasn’t an attempt at a gotcha. I was asking for clarification. I consider myself American so do my friends. We are born and raised here. We are all first generation American. We still connect with our parents cultures. We also connect with American culture. Is OP talking about women like myself or is he talking about a woman that is several generations of American?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/24 07:34 PM

Sure there are people who have several generations American. That’s why I asked what OP was defining as an American woman. If for example if he is saying someone who is a first generation American then to me I see an issue with his argument because a first generation American is going to have a lot culture and values from their parents country. Whereas a woman whose several generation American is going to be completely different.

Vance has repeatedly said that they are leaving it up to the state. I just watched him say it again on the Joe Rogan interview. He also said in that interview that he recognizes that states that have abortion bans are pro birth and as a country we need to do more to make it easier for people to choose life such as providing more financial aid for parents. Trump has been president before and did not do a national ban then either.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/24 08:33 PM

It’s not. Red states that voted for trump still voted for the state to be pro choice. It was on a number of ballots for states. People who cared about abortion voted democrat. People who cared about the economy voted trump.

The republicans have not made that clear. Trump and Vance have said consistently they are leaving it in the hands of the state.

The majority of states do not have a limit on a abortion. Close to 30 states it is legal and some, like my state, allows abortion even at 9 months along. 16 states have strict rules usually around 6 week mark. A couple states have said you can’t have an abortion in the second trimester. People can travel out of their state to get an abortion. A couple of states have put in rules against that but no one has been charged with breaking that rule.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/24 05:41 PM

A couple hours is one thing. But if you’re doing silent treatment for days at a time I would consider it emotional abuse. Romantic relationships aside, i had a friend in high school whose mom would stop talking to her for up to a week when she was upset with her. Just completely ignore her in their home. It was extremely difficult for her to deal with and she would often breakdown crying to us when it would happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/24 05:39 PM

Someone on twox yesterday posted the same question asking is they should stop sleeping with their bf. I read a comment that basically said yes, you need to decentralize men in your life.

I never said she should have to vote for anyone she didn’t want to. I simply said I don’t understand the level of support and it seems other demographics of color don’t provide that level of support so they are not using the same logic as black women.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/24 05:23 PM

Well maybe we can sum it up to they make bad choices cause other groups of color were able to ignore the fact that a minority of racist support trump. They were the only demographic that voted that strongly democrat.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/24 05:21 PM

I always try to spend a lot of him. Spending money on people I care about Is part of my love language not just for him but family and friends too.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/24 05:19 PM

Yea actually I am. When there is a small minority of people who are racist, people you might never meet by the way I would hope you would still vote for the candidate that is talking about making the country overall better for every American. Notice that no other demographic of color had that high show out for the Democratic Party. Yet those racist hate all people of color. Meaning other people of color were able to set aside the fact that there is a minority of racist that support trump.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/24 05:18 PM

Resolving conflict is the same with my friends, family, coworkers, etc. How exactly would you classify it as different? There is no punishment for someone being who they are in normal relationships. If you ended up in a relationship with someone in the first place, you are capable of igniting a spark in them. Unless that person just doesn’t like you and is using you. You don’t have to flirt or act a specific way that isn’t genuine to you.

If anything because he has years on her in regards to dealing with conflict he is more likely to be capable of deeper manipulation. /r/PurplePillDebate03/11/24 07:34 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/24 06:58 PM

I would expect that my bf would probably save my life. He is pretty attached to me. My bf isnt quick to say anyone is going to hell. He isn’t someone that believes he is holier than others. He simply believes an unborn child’s life is valuable. He also believes that the life of people living currently are also valuable.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/24 04:47 AM

Ok I also mentioned leaving. So you think the guy would be wrong for cheating and the woman would be wrong for paternity fraud. Am I correct in saying that?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/24 04:43 AM

It’s equivalent. What would you see as the difference? In both situations an individual is dishonest and creating a dynamic with their partner that is non consensual. Cheating can actually result in spreading a life threatening disease to your partner so an argument can be made that it is worse than paternity fraud. But I would say based on OPs logic it is at least equivalent.

But what does it matter if it relates to sex? If you are setting the terms for how your relationship should go she should be able to set the terms for how her relationship goes. You believe in enthusiastic consent in regards to sex and she believes in enthusiastic consent in regards to fatherhood. If a man has himself to blame, you are saying that what she is doing is fine, correct?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/24 03:46 PM
5

Whether it’s an affair child or not is irrelevant because your gf didn’t consent to you sleeping with other women. So consent in a relationship isn’t required. Being honest in a relationship isn’t required. So you must think paternity fraud is ok. Why should she reveal that he isn’t the father. Then he might feel pressured to raise another man’s child. Instead she should pretend it’s his so he’s enthusiastic about fatherhood.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/24 03:27 PM

Didn’t even see this comment before I made my own. But basically said the same thing. If we are having relationships not based on consent (because your gf consented to a monogamous relationship) and we have established that being deceitful to your partner is ok. Then OP must also agree that there is nothing wrong with paternity fraud.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/24 03:25 PM

If you are unhappy about any aspect of the relationship whether that be sex or anything else you need to communicate that’s. Communication is fundamental to a healthy relationship. If a woman cheated because she wasn’t happy with sex frequency, got pregnant by another man and didn’t communicate that to her husband because she wanted him to be enthusiastic about being a father would there be an issue? If you have communicated your needs and they still are not being met then you should leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/24 03:21 PM

Why is your gf not going? In my relationship my bf wouldn’t go to Vegas without me and it would be an issue if I tried to go without him. Certain places without your partner is asking for trouble in his head. If I was in your gf I would expect you to cancel if the ex fwb was going. If you chose to go there’s a possibility I would randomly start running into my ex fwbs.

Oh no I have met guys like that. I listed specific traits in bullet two that are important for me in my partner. And no, I have not met someone that has all three of those traits before my partner. But I have met men that I consider good men that don’t have all three of those traits. Those traits are important to me but I don’t think they are a requirement to be a good man.

If I say a guy is a good guy in regards to dating. I mean that he is overall pleasant, has his shit together (career or decent job), and would treat his partner and whatever children they have well. It’s unlikely I would refer to someone as a good guy outside of dating context. For myself I would want a man that in considerate of my feelings, that can communicate well, that I can rely on. I don’t know how many men have all three of those things. They arnt required to be a good man but it’s trait…

It’s not all about looks. You think people don’t value family? If sticking your dick in some random hot girl was a satisfying as you claim, he would have never married Giselle in the first place.

I think it’s fine if that not what a guy wants. I think men who don’t want to pay for a first date shouldn’t. I just think that both men and women are allowed to have whatever standards suits them. Why/how is someone else’s standards affecting you? If anything not continuing with a woman because she’s upset you made her split the bill just weeds out a woman who you wouldn’t want to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/24 07:49 PM

If we come to the conclusion that men can’t get for this I think we are also saying women can’t avoid being pumped and dumped. It’s almost like we are saying people have no control over how dating goes for them.

I doubt most men who complain about this are complaining because they have experience dating in Europe. Also I would then say to the men who do have that experience that they are free to date in Europe. To be clear I don’t think men have to pay for dates. I think a man who is interested in splitting on a first date would probably align better with a woman who his interested in splitting.

Why do guys get upset that women want them to pay on dates? If that’s not your thing then don’t do it. But if she chooses to not move forward with dating you, that’s also not something you should be upset about. You guys just arnt compatible and that’s ok.

It’s not a strange jump. Im with a man who wouldn’t let me pay in restaurants for years. If I know there are men who meet my standards that I have access to, why would I accept less?

I prefer a man who leans into more traditional gender roles. I don’t expect my man to pay every time we go out. But if he didn’t want to pay for the first date it would indicate to me that he was probably going to not lean into the provider role. I actually view it similar to the sex thing. If you arnt pulling out the 5 star experience the first time around I can probably expect the overall relationship to be of lower quality/

No. If his parents live with him it’s one thing. But him living with his parents is an issue at my age. Splitting the bill on first date would be an issue for me. I will say that braces would not have been a deal breaker for me.

Men are more willing to sleep around because there is no stigma on men when they do. Society conditions women to not fuck around casually and places negative labels on a woman who does. Submission isn’t something you give willy nilly. You either have the personality traits for it or you dont. We also see that he is looking to casually hook up. Traditional men have family values so that’s another indication that he isn’t a traditional man. A traditional man isn’t expecting a traditional woman to hook up with him on the first date.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/24 04:00 PM

If it’s a dealbreaker for him that’s fine. But he claimed that her not agreeing to his choice was because she was as not a traditional woman. In reality a traditional man would have taken into consideration the woman’s response because a traditional man would want the woman to be comfortable and feel safe. They are concerned about making sure she feels protected. The conversation took the turn that it did because this man isn’t a traditional man.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/24 03:53 PM

I am under the impression that in a traditional relationship a man communicates his wants but if the woman opposes for reasons that are reasonable, that is something he takes into consideration. Most women are reluctant to submit to a man that they can see in incapable of leading. The issue is that many men want a role that they are incapable of filling. If you are an employee and your manager asked you to do something and you know your gonna get in trouble with another department for doing it, you would be hesitant to follow your managers orders. You might give you manager pushback because you can see he doesn’t know what he’s doing. It’s the same thing with relationships. If a woman h…

I always felt that stay at home wives especially ones with school aged children lacked femininity. How could you claim to be a feminine woman and put some much pressure on your husband to be the sole provider. Do you understand the stress that comes with? A feminine woman would want to help alleviate that

The article you linked about the steep rise states that women biologically are more vulnerable to stds. I then went to google to see why that was the case and quickly found that: “Women are more susceptible to STDs during sexual intercourse because the vaginal surface is larger and more vulnerable to sexual secretions than the primarily skin-covered penis” Less than 1 minute of research explains the actual factual reason why women are more prone. Edit: OP has now changed the link he was original…

I think it’s perfectly fine to settle if a relationship is what you want. A lot of people are overrating themselves. So what they consider “settling” is actually being with their looksmatch.

I was attracted to my man, yes. He still had to approach me, I wasn’t going to do that. And I’m sure all the other guys who are approaching women have a much higher chance than the men doing absolutely nothing.

I never suggested for men to hit on a random women. You can approach a woman and be friendly especially one that you see on a regular basis. There’s a ton of things that can be said to initiate a conversation.

You don’t have to approach a ton of women. I mentioned going to the gym at the same time regularly meaning you are interacting and seeing the same people and you are then able to pick up social cues from those around you. When you approach a woman in the gym that you regularly see there you are able to pick up cues previously about if she would be interested in you or even interested in being approached in a friendly manner prior to actually approaching her. My suggestions I wouldn’t even consid…

It hasn’t. You guys seen one or two viral videos and run with it as an excuse not to take initiative in your life. As I’ve stated I was approached constantly in the gym and I see it happen all the time. If you go to the gym you the social media portrayal is very false. If you regularly go to the gym especially at the same time you see the same faces and it becomes natural to interact with these people.

You are supposed to talk to women in your environment. My man approached me in the gym. Prior to him approaching me, men almost on a daily basis would approach me in the gym. Workplace romances are largely frowned on when one person is in a position of power in the business and the other is not. Workplace romances with colleagues on the same level is relatively fine. Life in general is easier for attractive people. However, you can’t get away with being bad in bed simply because you’re attractive unless you have a partner that doesn’t value sex. Also as a woman who doesn’t like strangers in her personal space, no amount of being attractive will stop me from being repulsed if a guy tried to kiss me on the first date.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/23 07:03 PM

Gay male relationships have the highest rate of cheating. Men are willing to stay in failing relationships more than women.

Yes many men are clear about their about their intentions with women. And yet women hope they will be special. I did give you an example with children. And that is not my lived experience because I’m not a baby mama. No the man is being clear that he isn’t interested in a long term relationship. There are many women who don’t have these experiences because they choose to vet properly. A lot of women choose to not vet properly and they don’t take accountability for that. So my logic is that libido can change due to different reasons (medication, age, stress, etc). However, if you value sex with your partner as a form of intimacy you’ll still want to have that form of intimacy even as libido changes. I’m thinking that in dead bedroom situations intimacy could be valued. But sex as that form of intimacy is not by at least one partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 09:50 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 08:26 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 11:16 PM

By normal, I meant women with regular jobs and lives pre only fans.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 11:15 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 11:15 PM

This isn’t true. You just have to look good in whatever clothes you choose to wear.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 08:42 PM

There’s normal girls I follow that have only fans and sometimes I’m tempted to pay for it just to see what exactly they are doing on there. I can’t fathom that regular women are turning to porn so easily.

That’s true. I would definitely consider a trad woman as a woman doing the majority of the household work. And I would probably say that she is in a nuclear family unit. Whether or not she works is on the individual basis. That being said a woman who is not doing that I would not consider a trad woman. Even if it’s due to the circumstances of her life. But I would also like to note that trad women and feminine women are not synonymous. So a woman who isn’t trad doesn’t mean she’s not feminine.

The comment thread is in regards to someone making a comment about claiming that only higher earners are pressured into marriage. High earning women look for men who make more and thus struggle to find men to commit to. There struggles are a separate topic entirely.

It’s fine if you write people off for this. And it’s also fine if people write you off for wanting to meet to quick. I don’t understand why others get upset over other peoples boundaries. There are women who want to meet quick and women who do not. You wouldn’t change how you operate for a stranger so why are you expecting strangers to do that for you? Part of dating is find someone who operates like you do.

It has nothing to do with being offensive. I don’t know someone and going to coffee is more time consuming than just texting. So if I’m going to commit that time I want to know it’s worth it. There’s also the safety concern of meeting a random stranger.

Marriage is lower in lower income because more people live with their families which makes it harder to date. It’s also harder to date when you can’t afford to for both men and women. Someone else gave a source that stated 50 percent of people with only high school diplomas still get married despite college educated people make 75 percent more. 50 percent is a large amount for you guys to argue that only high earners are being pressured into marriage.

I don’t just go out with random people so if someone’s first message was asking me for coffee I would say no. But I would probably say let’s get to know one another first. I find pick up lines funny so I wouldn’t be bothered if a guy used one. I would comment about it being funny and then I would expect to go into the normal convo I would have had with the guy who brought up coffee. Both situations for me would lead to the same result given that I’m attracted to both men.

Whatever floats his boat. As someone mentioned this isn’t a fwb situation. Also in regards to men settling down I think it’s perfectly fine and wise for men to date around and not rush to marriage. There’s value in dating and men don’t have the biological clock that women have. A woman in her late 20s needs to start thinking about marriage if she wants kids. Men can realistically start thinking about that stuff mid 30s and be fine, especially since women are more willing to date older.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/23 01:29 PM

They had lost a child a couple years prior in a car accident so their marriage pretty much collapsed at that point. She was a SAHM who restarted college right before the accident and he had told her after the accident that he would like a divorce after she graduated. Affair happened after that convo but I still think was upsetting to him. I know that he didn’t talk to her for a few years after the divorce unless it had to do with picking up their other child or dropping her off. He actually made…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/23 09:32 PM

Nah I hate when a guy tries to kiss me on a first date especially someone from a dating app. You wouldn’t go up to a random stranger and kiss them. Meeting someone for the first time shouldn’t be any different.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/23 09:20 PM

My aunt found a man like this. They got together while she was pregnant for another man. I think it’s wild to do something like that. They were married for 15+ years. At some point when the marriage was pretty much over she started some sort of affair with the man who had abandoned her when she was pregnant.

Single hood is fun for anyone who values it. If a family is a goal of an individual male or female they are going to want to have long term relationships and hopefully find a lasting one that leads to that. I do believe that the pressure to have a family is push more on women than men in society. Even if a woman doesn’t feel pressure from those around her the biological clock does add it’s own pressure. Which is why I think more women are focused on being in relationships than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/23 08:46 PM
2

No. I’ve been very attracted to my partners but I’ve had maybe one partner that I think falls in the conventionally attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/23 11:33 PM
2

That’s also how I see it. I have no intention of committing myself to a man I don’t want to have sex with. For me husband material is a man I want to fuck who also shares similar values and goals. Since women are the ones using the term I would assume they have the most knowledge on what it means.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/23 08:28 PM
2

I don’t think that. It is what you as an individual value. I think more women are looking for lasting relationships so being considered husband material is not a bad thing. I just think for the women who are looking for casual sex they probably are going to go mainly for conventionally attractive men.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/23 07:46 PM

Those women saying those things are right. We need to be self aware an evaluate ourselves and determine what we can get. I’m sure that guy is lovely but of all the men to have casual sex with why should they pick him.

Why should she change how she dated when it’s going to work with a majority of men. A woman that most men consider average/above average is going to get offered dinner dates before sex regularly. So why would she settle for less. The women who would be ok with this are the women who arnt getting that offer. Those women are going to be below average, possibly have issues in their life that men don’t want to deal with long term. So basically you can use this tactic but you would probably be dumpst…

Marriages don’t fall apart just because one partner is shitty or dysfunctional. Marriages take work and sometimes people don’t realize that and get to comfortable. My initial comment had nothing to do with people who are abusive. And I’m doubtful that’s the reason most marriages dissolve or end up in a place where both partners are not satisfied.

Anyone can be married is irrelevant. You’re turning the convo into something emotional when it’s not like that. It’s simply analyzing what the actual success rate is. 60 percent of marriages staying together doesn’t mean those are happy marriages by the standards I mentioned.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/23 08:26 PM
1

No. Living like roommates doesn’t have to do with just sex. Being together for years doesn’t mean you no longer spend quality time with one another. I also don’t expect people to be strangers living under the same roof. If your sole purpose for marriage was to have kids and those kids have now grown up sure. But I would expect a couple to operate like a couple at every point in their marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/23 08:11 PM
1

50 percent of marriages end in divorce and for sure there are couples who stayed together for kids or because of culture. Based on that, we already know marriages where the couples stay together for decades and are happy (by the standard we established) are a minority.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/23 08:09 PM

I didn’t pass judgment on anyone. I mean how many couple do you know that enjoy one another’s company decades later, that didn’t stay for the kids or because of culture, that arnt two strangers living under the same roof.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/23 06:08 PM
1

I also know many couples who have been married for decades. I also know that many of those couples have a lot of disconnect or have become a roommate like situation or straight out hate one another. My question wasn’t about if you know couple together, but how happy are those couples.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/23 05:58 PM

I don’t think society really considers people family without the piece of paper. If most people were doing it for just kids they could wait till they are ready to try but many couples marry years before that.

It could also be how you meet people. For me I have always met my long term partners in natural environments and established a friendship with them. When initally meeting these men I didn’t have “traditional” dates. We did a date or two but right off the bar I just hung out with them a lot. So in my relationships also had a natural and easy flow. Looking back at my relationship the one that push gender roles heavily was the one that i met on a dating app.

Not sure where you live. But in rural America people living there are not making more than 90 percent. If you claim is true you are an exception, which you are probably aware of. To be in the 1 percent of America nationally you have to earn 500k. However in states like Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, you have to be earning more than 750k. I’m not a tall woman but I get it. If they want a man their height or taller they have limited options. So it’s probably frustrating to see one of their few options pick someone very short. A short woman if she wants someone her height or taller can pick any man.

What type of other family support did you have aside from your mother. I think it matter a lot how things are framed to children. If a child is growing up watching their mother struggle, possible also an absent mother because she’s working too much and then you see other friends with both parents that might be hard to handle. If your mother isn’t struggling, has a lot of support from other family maybe not.

That’s true. It’s possible that the younger people getting pushed into those categories view relationships differently than the people who had been previously surveyed. The number of women who claim to be single in that age group is relatively the same. So it could be that men are redefining what they view as a relationship.

I just left a comment about it on the side piece post. I’m having a hard time understanding the pew survey that claims 63 percent of men under 30 are single. That’s such a big jump from 51 percent in 2020. For the smart people out there is it polling gone wrong?

I don’t think we have enough info to make the correlation you are trying to make. So the source that everyone is referring to said in august of 2020 that between the ages of 18-30, 51 percent of men said they were in single. That same source is January 2023 is saying that between the ages of 18-30, 63 percent of men are single. Yes. The biggest issue I would say young Americans are currently facing financially is housing. Mortgages and rent is too high and will probably take up close to the one persons monthly paycheck. Splitting that cost with a partner leaves a lot more financial wiggle room. Rent was already high pre Covid.

It’s not that easy to maintain a slim body without exercising especially as you get older and depending on your job that takes a lot of determination and time. Pre-Covid I was up by 6am for work, would get home exhausted by 6pm. Take a nap and go to the gym around 10pm. I was 23 years old and had little responsibility outside of work so I was able to do that. It is actually biologically easier for men to maintain a good figure because testosterone aids in weight management.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/23 10:21 PM

You’re discussing something entirely different now than your original comment which brought up men’s discomfort. If a woman doesnt like men looking at her in the gym then she should also go to a woman’s only gym. The reality is, this isn’t really a discussion. The genders get a long perfectly find in co Ed gyms. Women and men looking for attention are making gym content for views and people are running with some narrative about what is going on in the gym that isn’t reality.

Women are aware of hormonal and body changes that come with having children. It’s her responsibility to handle that. Most people don’t have 3 years of maternity leave. I expect that when/if I have children I’ll be at home with that child for 4 months then have to go back to work. If a household would be in a dire financial situation if a child was brought into it then maybe that couple shouldn’t have any children at that moment.

The wage gap is the belief that a man and a woman working in the same position don’t make the same amount. This is pretty much a myth and untrue. It has only been found to be true is a couple of fields. The largest discrepancy was found in tech which was only a 4 percent difference. Something to note is that in tech people have to advocate for their salary. The discrepancy is most likely because women are less likely to give pushback or argue for a higher raise.

High earning women struggle to get relationships because their standards are higher not because they don’t have options. Also in every age group women are in more relationships than men. You can live in the same area and not live together. And visit one another’s place. Stats also show that couples who live together prior to marriage have a high chance of divorce when they do get married.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/23 08:59 PM

That number jumps close to 80 percent after age 30. Also less women are married under the age of 29 now. Times have changed and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Interesting. I also work remote and considered Texas at one point. I would assume the dating game isn’t bad in a city, guess I was wrong.

I’m not sure what’s up with people on this sub not wanting their gender to take accountability. No one is forcing a man to reproduce. If he doesn’t want a child in this world, he has options to not procreate. Whatever party (male or female) in the relationship is most concerned about pregnancy needs to take the steps to prevent it. Rich men are not dumb. They know they’re women who might want to get pregnant for financial advantage. There are some that seem to have multiple children all over and…

I recently starting reading “the defining decade-why your twenties matter” and the author suggest that it’s actually better to wait till your engaged to live together. Moving in together makes it harder to leave because you sharing things in the apartment, one partner might not be able to get their own place if you want to break up. So the difficulties of leaving a marriage kind of appear is a more subtle way through living together. Because of that people can end up staying in failing relations…

Me moving out wasn’t really about fun as I mentioned. But yes the time I spend alone is a choice. Also depending on your age/gender living with your parents will hurt your dating prospects.

It depends on the type of family you have. I lived on my own shortly after college and moved back home a year later (a month before Covid). Stayed for 2 years. It was easy/convenient at the time because my bf was my parents next door neighbor. I also got to save a lot of money. But after we broke up I moved out a month later. My parents are pretty traditional so it would have been hard to date while living with them. They wouldn’t have understood online dating, seeing multiple people, would have…

If you live on your own and you have a busy life it’s easy to isolate yourself without realizing it and feel lonely. I spent a lot of time with family over the holidays and I realized any loneliness I felt this past year was a choice. Sometimes I choose to stay by myself in my apartment but yes family is always an option for me. To be fair though a lot of people do relocate for work and other life events and are not living in close proximity to family.

If you arnt exclusive then I don’t think people owe you exclusivity. However, I also would consider disrespectful for a man to be having another sexual relationship with another women and to be telling me about it. That would be a clear sign to me that he isn’t looking for something long term with me.

Is IVF free? From my understanding it’s very expensive and almost a luxury. Maternity leave is also shit at for a lot of women in the US so I don’t see this becoming a popular option. Society will not change in anyway even if this did become more common. If you don’t want to date a single mother you don’t have to. Men also have the option of becoming single fathers if they want. Look at cristiano ronaldo.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/23 03:07 PM

Someone doesn’t have to propose to you to show honest intentions. Also women use the analogy for test driving when referring to men as well. Many of us, men and women, have no desire to be in long term relationships with people we are sexual incompatible with.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/23 03:27 AM

What do you mean it feels more wholesome? What thoughts correlate with sexuality for you that equates to wholesomeness? How was it before?

There are women who are have no interest in casual sex and are not dating around. Most women are not getting approached in supermarkets, so unless you are making an active effort to date it’s very easy for your life to just be work and go home. WGTOW are not complaining and MGTOW shouldn’t be complaining either from my understanding.

I agree with this. I know young women right now who just don’t care to deal with men and their drama so they choose to opt out and focus on other things that matter to them. However, the fact that they are currently opting out of dating is not part of their identity. They are just carrying on with their live like normal.

I actually think it would be worse if one of his mistresses got pregnant because then for sure there would be children raised without two parents. Either his mistresses child wouldn’t be around its father or his wife’s children would lose their father. In the particular case I’m aware of, the child that the wife had was never informed of his bio father and she was raised believing her mothers husband was her father. It was by accident in her late teens she found out.

Every situation is different. There are a ton of people who think sticking it through for the sake of the kids is worth it and there’s a ton of kids who have now grown up and wish their parents had divorced. I think in relationships both parties deal with bs. Neither gender is perfect. However, as I have mentioned in my original comment women appear to be less likely to stay in a relationship that is failing.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 05:24 PM
2

Most divorces are not ending on year one so it’s likely that most women who do file for divorce stick through a lot of bs before deciding to leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 05:03 PM
5

I think you missed the part where lack of compatibility causes other issues in the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 05:02 PM
4

You’re right, most people don’t turn against their marriage the first sign of minor abuse. Most marriage that do end, end around the 7/8 year mark. Most people date more than 2 year before getting engaged and are engaged for at least a year. People are willing to commit years of their life before leaving their marriage. I’m not sure how much longer you expect people to stay in failing relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 05:00 PM
2

Boredom is not main reason for marriages dissolving.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 04:58 PM
4

Most people are not taking their marriage “lightly” or marriage vows lightly. Most divorces occur in around the 8th year. That is significant commitment seeing as though most couples date for more than 2 years and are engaged for at least a year.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 04:41 PM
4

I wasn’t saying that women are abusive. You are suggesting that women leaving abusive situations means they arnt willing to work through relationships issues. Cheating is abusive and puts your partner at risk. Yet gay men are more likely to be with a partner that is cheating yet they have the lowest levels of divorce. If they don’t consider it abusive then a deeper analysis should be done on self esteem issues or desire for self preservation. Which is why I mentioned that there seems to be extre…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 04:30 PM

Lack of compatibility is a failing relationship. Two people shouldn’t just be together because they are nice. People do outgrow one another and that can lead to many negative emotions/problems such lack of intimacy and feeling of loneliness. You don’t have to look far to see people in roommate like marriages that are miserable.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 04:23 PM
5

You shouldn’t be willing to work through abuse. Gay relationships are the only relationships where the majority of relationships experience infidelity (over a 50 percent) , yet they have the lowest rate of divorce which shows that men are more willing to stay in situations that are failing.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 04:17 PM
5

No longer being compatible with your partner is a failing relationship. There doesn’t have to be abuse in a relationship to call it quits. However, divorces are because of issues in the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 04:12 PM
7

And gay men are significantly more likely to have more open relationships or cheat on their partner compared to lesbian or straight relationships. There appears to be extremes to lesbian and gay relationships. If we are making assumptions based on a minority group both genders are going to look bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 04:09 PM
2

Not really sure what evidence you have to come to that conclusion
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 03:43 PM
8

How does it show that? Are there stats on how long a relationship is failing before women decide to give it up on the relationship? Most couples date for more than two years before getting engaged and most couples are engaged from a year to a year and a half. So most women would have been with their significant other for several years before filing for divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 03:39 PM

I think you underestimate the impact people’s culture still has on them. Most people are coming from somewhat conservative backgrounds that would deter them from doing that which is probably why there are only around 2 million content creators on only fans.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 03:31 PM
15

People do grow and change as time passes. You can go to the adultery sub and see people who are cheating on their significant other for the first time after 10 years. Most people are not horrible partners from day 1.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 03:21 PM
4

How does it show that?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 03:18 PM
29

Women divorcing more in heterosexual relationships or homosexual relationships just shows they have less desire to stay in failing relationships than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 03:09 PM

Who has 100 close friends they can go to? Most people (men and women) are extremely lucky if they have even 10.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 02:43 PM

There’s always going to be better looking people. It’s ridiculous to think you will be the most attractive person your partner has ever seen. But you should have a stronger foundation in your relationship that your partner seeing a more attractive person doesnt cause turmoil to you or your relationship. My original comment can be applied to men as well btw.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 02:22 PM

If a woman is stalking what female photos her guy is liking on Instagram she’s extremely insecure. Like who cares if he’s following about bunch of Instagram models he will never meet.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 01:39 PM
5

Both are bad and it’s even worse if there’s already kids involved in this situation. I knew a couple in my family that were both cheating on one another. The wife got pregnant for the man she was cheating with and her husband ultimately chose to raise the child as his own. They already had 4 kids together and walking away from his marriage would mean significantly less time with his kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/23 01:26 PM
2

I didn’t present any statistics. Do you or do you not agree that lonely men are more likely to enact a violent act than lonely women?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/23 07:00 PM
1

It’s irrelevant the actual numbers. You will probably go through the year hearing about multiple incidences where some lonely man enacted some violence upon a stranger. Whereas you are less likely to hear that of women. Both genders have things that are more common in one than the other. Not sure why people are trying to dispute that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/23 05:53 PM
2

It’s not about what chance it is of it happening. It’s that we hear enough times in the year about men who appear to be alone being violent in society. I say a year because it’s unlikely you will go through a year without hearing about multiple incidences. There are things that are more common in one gender than the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/23 05:50 PM

Men who are pursuing women just for sex are not trying to spend time with them. They are trying to have sex and leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/23 03:10 PM

What do you mean they created them? People develop based on what they are exposed to.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/23 02:57 PM

What man is saying I love you when they are having a one night stand? Also women are less likely to orgasm with partners they don’t know.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/23 02:56 PM

Every women isn’t getting approached when they walk around. Unless they resort to dating apps there are women who get no male attention. And getting male attention on a dating app just to be used for sex can have negative impacts on mental health. Yet we don’t see women inflicting violence on strangers.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/23 02:17 PM
0

Do you have a source or evidence because the person I responded to had not seen anything that would determine if unattractive women had significant options for long term relationships. Their only evidence was that unattractive women were still getting messages on dating apps. Looks are subjective which is why I said it would be difficult to find a study. However, there are people that are unattractive to most of the people they are exposed to.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/23 02:03 PM
2

Lonely men arnt treated that way. In the real world the only way to know someone is lonely is if they choose to speak on it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/23 01:38 PM
0

I am not saying that most men are on using it to hookup. I’m saying that the attention those women receive could very well be that. And if half of men are on dating apps for a hookup it’s a realistic possibility. Maybe you haven’t seen a study on that because it’s hard to do a study on something that is subjective. To add, pretty women don’t have to go into spaces where it’s acceptable to approach a woman (I’m assuming spaces more geared toward hookups) to be approached.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/23 01:17 PM
9

Everyone knows it’s not all lonely men. But you don’t see lonely women shooting up the place at the same rate lonely men are doing it.

Women don’t ignore this. Women are well aware of this which is probably why more women are in relationships in their 20s than men in their 20s. Most people also marry someone within 3 years of them and there’s a higher rate of divorce for couples that have larger age gaps. Something that men in their 30s here seem to ignore.

Ahhh yes that type of work can be annoying. I had a business analyst position a few years ago where I would have to upload a photo for a mobile developer to show them what an app should look like. I would then have to do a write up explaining everything to them in the photo. Like I would have to say “in the top right corner should be a button that says the word continue” as if they can’t just look at the picture and see a button that says continue.

Yes the only thing is I only want this dick if it’s long term commitment possibly something that leads to marriage. I don’t care to trade one fwb in for another especially one out the country. That’s why it’s still something I’m contemplating.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/23 11:02 PM

Not really. The decisions you make in your life don’t impact relationships with long term friends and family. This decision would impact whether or not this person is in my life and they are currently someone I interact with on a daily basis.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/23 10:57 PM

I would be choosing to no longer partake in something that ive been doing for close to a year now. That’s dropping something from my life. Dropping something has nothing to do with commitment. For example you can decide to drop a cigarette habit.
