I'm going to be honest; I was on a damn good basis with my teachers. I still remember leaving the class one day, saying "see you tomorrow," and he actually replied, "you too, friend." Like it was nothing. The dude was sixty years old, my geometry teacher. However, that's not all he was. He was a rock climber, when he was younger. He had a major in physics, and a minor in philosohy. I later would learn he also had a degree in physcology, and sociology. His favorite activity was sailing. He had a …

It's harder to talk to women when they're some other species, than when they are just people with vaginas. At least, if you have a more introspective and logical mindset. "Smart people are very good at rationalizing stupid beliefs."

Yep. Indiana is like the ugly duckling in a rather okay area. Washington/Idaho/California/Oregon is hilarious. Basically, half of each state, divided by land, not population, is conservative, and the other is liberal. Each of these states. Seattle? Portland? San Fransisco? More liberal than you can imagine. Northern California, Eastern Wash/Oregon? As conservative as the south. Political climate is a strange beast.

First order of business: Sidebar. You're going to want to get the vocabulary. That way, you can translate all the PUA-speak around here. Second: Inner game, read about it. It's definitely the best place to start. I mean, how is anyone going to find you attractive if you can't even take pride in your abilities. This does not mean spiral into depression. It'll take effort, and vigilance, but hard work does pay off, no matter how tedious or trivial it may seem. Third: Outer Game: another good place…

As a Washingtonian, I hate the East Coast. Too many people, and the interstates sucks. I'll take Seattle any day. So screw you. In other news, yeah, that's basic American History that Indiana is northern. I mean, Missouri is the South, despite it being more north than a few states in the Midwest, and even our capital. Oh geography, how cardinal directions is secondary to history.

He's making a value judgement... on something he values? Imagine that. Seriously though, it's no different than only banging hot girls. He just doesn't bang easy ones. I thought a community as hedonistic and selfish, and I say that with the dearest respect, would understand such a concept as getting what you want, rather than just going along because someone wants you too. Disagree, sure, but don't act validated in your opinion. I don't agree with him either, but that doesn't suddenly authorize …

I don't get the negative feedback. The guy was clear. He isn't after, for lack of a better term, an easy girl. I can get behind that. It isn't attractive to sleep with a woman who's slept with thirty other guys. Hypocritical? Maybe. Does it matter? No. Also, "slut-shaming douchebag"? Good to know we have such a nice, understanding moderator.

I'm sorry, but if a poor imitation of a British accent, or someone being fat and not very fashionable is all it takes to make you dislike someone, you are never, ever going to be fun to be around. You cannot sidestep this. Don't try. Now that we've established that, lets move on. Of all the traits to judge someone on, external traits are often the weakest. If I were to judge all my friends like you do, they'd all suck. If I analyzed you closely enough, you'd suck. If I analyzed myself close enou…

Here's a good example: I changed my iPod's name to Titanic. It's syncing right now. Or something like that. Basically, wordplay, except actually clever. It's very spontaneous.

Oh, okay. I was just left scratching my head. No, I do get that though. It's usually really sly, and the secondary meaning has to have a lot of wit-force applied behind it. It can be beautiful though.

My humor is definitely more sarcastic and based on references to the situation and pop culture. What you just described left me scratching my head.

Hesitating is just something that you'll have to overcome. What I did was introduce little changes like that all over my life. When I shower, rather than simply wait until I'm comfortable, I'd cut it the second I knew I should. It was annoying, and somewhat unnecessary, but it helped me overcome the feeling of Should I?, and turn it into I should. On the term direct, could you be a bit more specific? That's rather vague, and there's no example to work off of.

This might not sound useful, but get a book on body-language. Seriously, best investment I've ever made.

Jesus, man, calm down. Still have not had sex. That wasn't the vibe I was getting from this at all. This isn't something to get you laid, jackass. There's already a million posts about this. This is a way to get to know someone, quite effectively as well. I'd recommend you go away from the topic if it isn't what you want, rather than complain on the few posts that don't have to do with getting a fuck buddy really easily.

Well, you told us the symptoms. How do you deal with poor self image? You're asking us to find how you can compensate with this problem, when in reality, you're asking the wrong question. The question isn't, how do I ignore this, but rather, how do I fix this. I know exactly what you're talking about. I was in a similar boat. In the mirror, I knew I wasn't even close to the least attractive man in the room. I worked out, I played musical instruments, and performed. Hell, I was getting into MIT, …

The word you are searching for is Egaliterian. It essentially means that you believe that none of this should be an issue, and both should just be treated the same. Not different, but equal. Just equal.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
