Well, the title is rather to the point, so I guess I'll explain it in more depth.

Basically, I have bad approach anxiety, but not out of fear of rejection. I don't care about that all. Really, if someone doesn't like me, that's perfectly fine. I'm not going to appeal to everybody, obviously.

However, I am afraid of my own actions completely fucking everything up to a large margin, and sure enough, they do. I freeze right after my opening, and suddenly stop. I have no problem talking to friends, nor do I have problems talking to authority figures and such, so it's not exactly a lack of confidence on my part.

It's really, really frustrating, and I don't know how to curb the issue. It makes talking to new people really frustrating, repetitive, and disheartening. I know who I am, and I know what I want... I just don't know how to start from complete scratch and establish any of it. Solutions from those who overcame this problem would be invaluable.

TL;DR

"Hi, my name is FieryHawk79..."

And then I blank. I can scrap something, but it always sounds poor. Help please?
