Thank you, I think that will help a lot. I definitely need to work on my perspective as well.

I really enjoyed this article, thank you for sharing! I could definitely work on myself some more because I often *do* some of those things the article talked about. I made a new post with more details https://www.reddit.com/r/RedPillWomen/comments/nz2s28/how\_can\_i\_regain\_respect\_once\_lost\_update\_to\_add/

The beautiful thing about being over 18 is that you don't have to let your mother's treatment of you effect you anymore. You can move on with your life and bloom. Don't get caught up in blaming your mom anymore for perceived shortcomings that you have the power to change.

No. As others have said, communicate yourself through actions. Men are (in general) less wordy than women and unless he's been complaining about how you've been, don't apologize. (that's not to say you should never apologize, just in this instance I feel its inadvisable). Edit: I once was in your situation and chose to apologize. It was during a rocky period in my relationship. He never saw my behavior as a bad thing until I labeled it as such.

Could you elaborate more on the one sided open relationship part? Do you ever feel jealous? Does your husband tell you about it or is it more "don't ask don't tell"?

Great idea! I don't know if I'll have enough balls to straight up ask... but, it's worth a shot.

I'm always very flattered by any advances (it takes guts to approach!) although I think my problem is being too much of an awkward duck and not knowing how to take a flirt... I think I give off a not interested vibe to most guys

This could be it. I live in a big city (although it's more of a red state). I think the least feminine thing that I do is not painting my nails... Other than that, I'm girly to the core. (I don't live around any nunneries/sororities XD)

Thanks for the reply! Tbh you sound gorgeous (no homo! :P) I've always loved the "pinup/artsy" fashion vibe but unfortunately never been able to carry it off. I'm pretty plain, no tattoos, no piercings. But I guess I am a bit "eccentric" when it comes to accessories. Maybe that could be it?

Thanks for the reply! I think you're onto something, I do tend to feel more at ease around girls because, well... they're not cute guys I want to date! :P So I have no problem making eye contact/smiling. Duh.. this seems so obvious now.

I've put myself in a situation similar to yours. Live and learn, and PLEASE stop beating yourself up over this! Everyone does things in life that they aren't proud of. You may not believe me, but you've become a better person for having had this experience. You now know what you want in a relationship and you will most definitely have it in the future. Don't under any circumstance think of yourself as ruined! There are so many books out there that helped me in my journey from feeling rotten abou…

Thank you for your input! (and reading my long posts) Yes! I agree with you about working on one's self. About my family issues, I sort of feel like if I can't make my relationship with my father work, all other male relationships are doomed. Would you say that's true?

I was in my last relationship for 6 years (we started dating very young) I had alot of hangups about how relationships should be and in general although I've always been mature for my age... I didn't take the relationship as seriously as he did (he was older than me by just a bit). I didn't want to marry early (he did) I didn't want to give up my male friends (I was a natural flirt, it bothered my boyfriend but I didn't see the harm in it) I didn't hold myself to the same standards I held my boy…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
