Yep small wins man. Focus on stuff you can control. Go for a walk, start with 10 min you got an extra 10 min in your day no excuse. Take care of the small things and the big things take care of themselves. My HS football coach always harped on that and he was correct. I find that works out in all of life. This helped me in my divorce that was very toxic and concluded in January. I got too busy caring for myself to even think about the disaster my wife was turning her life into. One little habbit…

Some days are better than others man. It seems to me you've been in a emotionally abusive relationship. It's possible she is a narcissist and they make you question your reality, you're saying on one had it's awful and the other it's not. Sit down and be real honest with yourself by yourself. Multiple days, as long as it takes, and decide if it was good or not. It either was or it wasn't homie not both. I can't tell you how to get through it. We are all different and what works for me might not …

Lots of good advice and scenario's all seem spot on. One thing I have not seen or read yet, mayber it's been mentioned, is prepare for the smear campaign. She's going to, if not already, drag your name threw the mud to anybody/everybody that she can flap her jaws to.

Kinga A. Kostaniak. She is located in CT not sure if she can practice in NY or not. She works out of an office that also does real estate law with her partners. That turned out to be very favorable for me. Be forewarned she takes no $hit from anybody which will include yourself. The circus was shut down and I walked away very happy. If you need that sort of thing try her office.

Yes it's pretty much the same. Subtle differences and circumstances, but all in all the same. I got the "grow my life" statement. I think we all pretty much hear the same line of bs too. Again with some variance but same/same. Some excuse to make it emotionally tolerable they can tell their friends about and the friends can support.

You are dealing with a narcissist. I too was married to one for 17 years. Making you doubt your decisions and reality is part of the spell. Mine litteraly, I mean drove/took flights, across the eastern seaboard on a smear campaign. If they believe her they are not your people. Walk away and burn the bridge down never look back. The truth will come out and the truth needs no explanation.

My ex wanted screwdrivers. I shit you not. If you want the pup fight for it. It's all up for grabs, even screwdrivers.

50:50 go for it. The court will take care of the kid(s) first so that means financially the custody split will allocate $ either way. Basically anything can be turned against you if you're dealing with a sick loser on the other side. Better to go 50:50 upfront. Try to get custodial parent "for school purposes" also at the same time. My ex did not fight against 50:50 she knew ahead of time I would bankrupt the both of us with lawyers and court costs fighting for it. She's left with playing all ki…

100%. I did not fight it one single step. She quit the team, she quit on me, our son, herself, her vows. I embraced that the weak part of the team presented itself in the most real way. It took her 17 years of marriage +4 years of dating prior. I believe she was exhausted putting on the mask and keeping up the act, the actress she presented to the world. Better late than never. It was tough, mainly watching my son go through it. For me it wasn't so bad but I definetly had some tough days dealing…

I moved into a condo, almost same thing as an appt if you ask me. Not one regret or feeling of being a lesser person because of where I sleep. #1 I dont have to deal with my filthy loser ex. #2 I have so much more time to do stuff I want rather than rewardless chores like mowing, snow removal, leaves, etc. #3 Everything is the way I want it. #4 my ex paid me to take off my hands all the problems of that house that are now her problems. #5 I dont have to deal with my filthy loser ex.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
