It's definitely rough man. It's good just to have people to vent to who understand. This is great community.

Just got to start with the small things. Started jogging, therapy, started combination of vitamins. Then just started going from there. Still have lots of moments, but it's not as bad. It's finding a new normal. It's hard, but you have to keep living.

I'm just giving mine everything and taking all debts to finish it. So we can both move on with our lives. Do I feel guilty, absolutely, but the past is the past.

I don't really think it's that simple. To many variables, people grow apart, finances put a strain on relationships. Alot of times things snowball, and before you can stop it, it's gone to far. Not talking about the issues though really destroy things. That was my issue. I hated arguing, so I would avoid it till it built up, then it would cause alot of tension then fights. You don't intend it, you are just trying to not argue, but in the end, it damaged it to much. Add in finances, recipe for di…

Don't consider it wasted. I'm sure yall had alot of good times. I don't get regret mine one bit. We had our ups and down, but we have alot of great memories together, and a beautiful son.

Sounds like a classy person to tell you she settled for you. People love to project their own insecurities onto others. Mine called me a loser, etc. I find that funny since I am the one that has actually served in military, and worked my ass off to have a great career. So I just chuckle at her remarks about me. So don't let none of that stop you or get you down.

Don't dwell on the past. You didn't waste years, you made memories. Just because your in 40s doesn't mean anything, women love men at any age. Hang in there

I've kept all my bank statements where I have been supporting my son. That way judge can see how shitty of a dad I was.

Lost my VA housing benefit from it. Thats just the tip if the iceberg. I would love to post the videos in here on how I returned to the house after I was thrown out. I don't wanna spoil the surprise in court. I'm just getting excited thinking about the fun. I have no interest in mediation. I want the big show. Lol

That's not true. They will compare the 2, then kick the other ones back that wasn't valid. It's not a first come, first serve type deal. Lol

Sorry guys, I appreciate the support. I will support him and be in his life. Was the hardest decision, but feel my hearts in the right place. I've sent the lawyer the request to send to her attorney. I really am doing this out of love for my son and her.

This is through the courts yes and with lawyers. She knows I love my son immensely. I have no evil intent or with any intent of not trying to be in my son's life. I don't want to hate her, we have been through alot. So basically I'm doing this for love of her and my son.

I appreciate the support everyone. I will still support him anyway I can. Nothing will ever change how much I love him and would be there for anything he needs. I do know and will say she loves that boy to death also. Even though we are divorcing, I will always love what we had, and that we brought a beautiful baby boy into the world.

I miss and love him. I just know emotionally I can't keep going this route. It's affected my career, my health. I appreciate the support. I feel like a quiter. I am doing this because I love him. Will always support him.
