Yea that sounds great. Half day can be a pain at times, and I’m sure it’ll change when she gets older but we do half day on Xmas eve and Xmas and it’s been solid so far

I see. So one good thing about my situation is the insurance is on her is what we agreed. It would have been about $400 for me as well

Yea I’m the same boat. I’m 110k to her 50k and they’re ruthless here in Texas, even at 50/50. Good on you to get that raise after boss

Texas, it’s hella motherly favored here. I claim her each year so I do get the $2000 back so I try to factor that in to justify that I’m paying about $500 but yes I’m getting fkd. I paid $0 for 7 years though so meh How much is your insurance for the kids? In Texas I know dads paying $1100+ with 50/50 it’s insane

I’m right there with you. 1 kid, 50/50, I send $700. I make 100k, she makes 48k

Which judge is it. Well so we have a mediated agreement drafted out. I’ve been told in Collin county it’s so corrupt, the judges have changed an agreed child support by the father EVEN tho it’s 50/50 AND the parents agreed to it. For fucks sake

So I send the total child support thru OAG system so it will show on their end I’ve paid. As for the modification, we’ve never opted for it. That’s why I want to just have an attorney make our agreement to the court however I’m not sure how often judges will intervene our agreement.

I see. Yeah I guess if ex and I have always been amicable it’s best to just keep it out of court. I just wanted the 50/50 we’ve been doing for years to be on paper, as well as the new $700/mo child support we agreed on however it sounds like I’d be opening up a can of worms taking it to court.

I’ve been paying what my court ordered amount has been the past 7 years, not in arrears or anything. In addition to my daughters extra circular and school expenses and more. We’ve never opted into a review, I’ve just sent her more when she needed. Technically, I could send the extra thru the OAG system.

What district/judge? I don’t even want a mediation agreement in front of a judge there for them to look at. I’ve heard completely awful stories of judges there even intervening mediated agreements since we’ve managed to figure all out, outside of the court past 7 years

It should still be net income right? Meaning, gross minus the taxes paid to state and federal and your retirement? Mind sharing what your gross is and your CS y’all agreed on?
