You're right. I haven't listened to the podcast in ages now.

I only use socials FOR work any more. For that reason, I’m very selective about what and how I post. I follow lots of people in my niche who make me cringe, but it seems to work for them. I can’t do it, though.

Both of my parents. The only way to survive was going NC with my mother and extremely low contact with my father. Now I steer clear of anyone who gives me any kind of “off” vibes.

I haven't put gas in my car or done maintenance to it in years. Somehow the tank is always magically full and service is done whenever I get in it. My coffee is always ground, measured and in the machine. All I have to do in the morning is go downstairs and press a button. My husband does a million little things like that to make my every day life easier. I'm starting to wonder if I'm the LVM in this story. 🤔

I don't know, I feel like Bridgerton is something women enjoyed watching, so of course society needs to shit on it and compare it to porn.

"We have a great relationship otherwise." How? I don't understand how that's possible. He's a stingy little man and you have to beg him for scraps. How can you have any respect, desire, or affection for someone who treats you that way?

"Earlier attempts at male birth control pills have largely worked by blocking testosterone, which can lead to depression, weight gain, and decreased libido” Um, aren’t these some of the side effects of womens’ birth control now?

I've always been disgusted that Roman and Woody have their Oscars. Will Smith? I'm just annoyed he won over Denzel. The slap? Someone needed to do it. What discussion would everyone be having if it had been a white comedian who made the joke and Will slapped him?

OMG, imagine seeing other human beings this way! Imagine finding out the guy you just had a conversation with thinks of you like this. What a garbage person. No wonder 0 out of 300 women want to ever speak to him again. What a pathetic, desperate, lonely life.

I don't have any similar experiences or advice. But I'm sorry that happened to you. He sounds like a jerk and someone to be avoided. I think you did the right thing cutting him off and not explaining. He'll just try to lie some more and what's the point?

I had an older guy who worked in a jewelry store hit on me when I was 19. He was sweaty and gross. Not even the access to shiny, sparkly stuff would convince me to go on a date. And yes, that's how he tried to convince me. That, and he "drove a BMW." 😆

I dealt with a guy like this once. Dragged the mother of his daughter through hell in family court. Then couldn't wait to find a new girlfriend to help him parent because "girls need a mother figure right?" I snapped and reminded him she has a mother and dating really shouldn't be his priority right now. Finding a job and being a dad were now his priorities, not dating. That case is one of many reasons I couldn't get away from practicing law fast enough.

She has a daughter too? Yikes! I wonder if he preyed on the kid as well. That is some next level craziness he pulled. That sentence is garbage. He needs to sit in prison for a long time. I am confused, though, if she'd already had a child, how did an email make her believe she was pregnant? He sent her a fake scan? She didn't remember not going to the doctor for the scan? That part was confusing or the article is just badly written.

Yikes, this reminded me, I had an employee at a grocery store follow me around once and do the "trying to talk to you" thing. I'm not always the most observant so I didn't notice/hear him right away. Once he had my attention, he complimented my boots in the creepiest way. I nervously smiled and thanked him, which led to "such a pretty smile, can I talk to you?" No. Forever no. I practically ran and haven't gone to that store alone again.

Yes, my husband and I struggled a lot when we were younger. We're finally in a really good financial place. Buying a house we thought we would never be able to afford, buying what we want when we want, etc. Family members with kids keep giving us attitude about the house (they went and looked it up on Zillow based on what we told them about it ) and I have to remind them, "We don't have kids. YES. I hate it and always have. I'm in my 40s and child-free by choice. In my 30s, I made friends with other women who were also child-free by choice. They are so much more interesting to talk to. I just zone out when I run into people who only want to talk about their kids or grandkids. Nod along, "aw that's cute" in the right places, then run as soon as I can and try to avoid them in the future. I know being a mother is hard work (which is one reason why I never wanted to do it.) But it's hard…

I have listened to people who are into bdsm and "breath play" give lectures on how to "properly" choke their partners so they don't make them pass out. I didn't say I agreed with it or condoned. But I have heard of people who play around with this because they saw it in porn or read about it, try it out and what that girl described is what happens. If two people try something and it goes wrong, the normal response is to apologize. This couple wasn't trying it. He sprung it on her without warning…

This was my other thought. It seems the more people open up and talk about SA, the more we realize how common it is and especially how often it happens in families. It can have consequences for generations. Instead of hiding and protecting the offenders, they need to be locked up. And maybe also lose their peens.

Ugh. Reminds me of my BIL. Volunteer fireman. Everyone thinks he's so great, yet he ignores his kids and makes jokes at the expense of his wife all the time. He's fat and out of shape. Like a more unattractive and unfunnier version of Kevin James. I am thoroughly convinced he's only a fireman so he has a good excuse to avoid his family. I hate it. I had that mentality in high school, it was so taboo and "edgy" to score alcohol and dumb stuff, but I grew out of it by college. But it made it hard to relate to people in college because that's all people wanted to do. Law school was the same way. I once listened to guys bragging about driving home drunk after a law school event and was disgusted by them. I have to tangentially work with male models sometimes. Women my age act so gross and inappropriate with these guys and imply I should fawn all over them too. Um, no thanks. Some of the guys are nice and good looking, of course, but like, I'm old enough to be their mom. Plus, they don't have much to talk about other than the gym, meal prepping, and their "acting careers." 🙄

What nonsense is this person babbling? I'm in my 40s. There is nothing remotely attractive about 17, 18, 19 year old boys. Most of them look like hairless cats.

I have a few women in my life who are always posting those "when you want him to choke you, then take you shopping and call you pretty, tee-hee" memes and they always make me want to vomit. I so badly want to send them to FDS. The last one I tried to talk to about this accused me of kink-shaming. All I was trying to tell her was to be careful.

Sad truth these guys would never understand, reading FDS has made me realize how fucking lucky I am to have found my husband young. He has always had HV traits and they've only grown as we've gotten older. I found FDS because of some whiny incel in another subreddit. I was amazed when I read the handbook. I might not need the dating advice, but the Rad Fem ideals have been mind-blowing to me. And I love how supportive the women are to each other in the FDS space. I want to be a good, positive in…

My husband knows a scrote whose wife just left him. He says watching this guy learn to do basic things like feed himself and his own laundry has been like watching a baby learn to walk. He has, of course, taken every opportunity to mock this guy for being 40 and not knowing how to care for himself. 😆

I blocked his name and photo because I didn't think we were allowed to post names and identifying info here. And I tried to choose pics from his Insta that didn't show too much face because my intent wasn't to embarrass the models just to show the hypocrisy of the photographer.

Yikes, I had one like that years ago too. I needed normal headshots. We had a TFP agreement. The shoot and photos themselves were fine. But don't you know, a week later he reached out to ask me to be part of a different "project." Surprise--all lingerie and "tasteful" nudes when I never in any way indicated I'd be open to that.

Thank you, btw. Sometimes I feel like I'm losing my mind when everyone around me tells me I'm "too uptight" or "this is just how it's done" or "he's a professional" etc.

That is...stunning. What kind of sick little troll thinks anyone would find that funny? I'm so sorry that happened to you but SO HAPPY you immediately left.

These men sound so pathetic. Their personalities probably turn women off more than their gross appearances.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/09/21 03:22 PM

Men justify it by saying "Well, she's doing it willingly." Like, okay, maybe at first (because she's been lied to) but she's allowed to change her mind once she realizes how dehumanizing the "work" is. Men just don't want to admit that something that gives them a boner might be actively harming another human. Either because they don't care or because they can't deal with the shame.

God you just reminded me, I know a woman who is always piping up with, “but men get raped too” “women abuse men too” “not all men” stuff all the time. It won’t even be relevant to the topic, like “Rapist Brock Turner should still be in prison.” Her: “But women rape too!” Just...why did that even need to be said!? She has a teenage daughter and I can’t imagine the gross pick me nonsense she’s filled that girl’s head with.

So true. One of the ways I knew my husband was gold, was how one of my cats reacted to him. She had always been this skittish little thing who would hide or bite everyone who tried to pet her. For some reason, she absolutely adored my husband. She'd let him pick her up. She'd snuggle with him, purring, and drooling all over him. It was the sweetest thing. He was her person, even though I'd raised her from birth. Lol.

Not an ex but a male friend who was almost more. He confessed he was jealous of his mom's cats because she "babied them too much." His mom was a successful executive who raised him by herself. I peaced out and never looked back. Imagine being a 20 year old who's jealous of a frickin' cat.

Dick fights. OMG. This reminded me of a time my husband worked with this absolute scrotey guy. He was a typical fratty bro type who had to be reprimanded for harassing female employees quite often. Well, one time the guy casually mentioned having "sword fights" with his friends in high school. My dear husband thought the kid meant with actual swords, like fencing or something. Nope. Kid explained he and his friends used to get in a circle, whip out their dicks and slap each other with them. Like…

My initial response was, "aw, that's kind of sad." But then, why are women the ones who are badgered to death to remain "youthful," "fuckable" and pleasing to the male gaze? If men want to be desired, where is the effort? Showing up with a penis isn't enough.

I'm sort of disturbed she keeps track of how many times a day he goes to the bathroom and what he does in there. Is he a toddler? A puppy? That's weird to track someone's pooping habits. And...why can't he just buy toilet paper for the house? Presumably he purchased toilet paper before he moved in with her, so he knows how to find it? This is so weird and messed up. JFC men need to be told this like it's some big secret? Actually, yes, they do. My husband leaves me love notes every morning near my coffee cup. Sometimes on my computer if he knows I have a rough day ahead of me. I remember telling a friend this once and she made fun of us for still being so "childish." Later, of course, found out her husband doesn't do anything for her at all. She has to initiate, beg, and tell him to do everything. Her insults made so much sense, then.

I honestly think the problem of sexual abuse in families is so much worse andd deeper than anyone realizes. Victims often don't or can't report. I worked on a case where the woman did that. The scrote dragged her into court for a paternity test and made her life hell for years. I feel this. In 3rd grade I had a boy who used to lick, kiss, and bite my arm everyday and my senile teacher did nothing. If I complained or told him to stop, I was the one who got into trouble. In 7th I had a boy who would grab my boobs and try to shove his hands between my legs and when I tried to ask the teacher for help, she told me I liked the attention and refused to move my seat or punish him at all. I hope both of them are roasting in hell now.

This is so important. More girls need to hear this growing up! I heard "you'd be so much prettier if you lost weight" so much growing up and it really colored the way I saw everything about myself.

Trust your instincts. This is really creepy and I would be bothered by this too! I hate when my (female) neighbor invites me over for wine! Lol! I don't want to be chummy, thanks! Not sure if this helps, but my SIL told me, years ago when she lived alone she would "borrow" a pair of my husband's old boots or sneakers (he wears a size 15) and leave them outside on the porch by the front door, so people would assume a (big) man lived there with her.

What an absolute fucking tool. I have to be on a call every other week right around when my husband gets home from work. He will literally stay outside and do some yard work or quietly start dinner because he's worried he'll interrupt me. I'm literally at the other end of the house with the door shut and I've told him not to worry about it but he knows the call is important and doesn't want to disturb me in anyway. The bar exam is BRUTAL. I took it 20 years ago. I can't imagine how stressful it …

MRA groups have always been organized abusers IMO. I first encountered them in the late 90s working at our state legislature. They were creepy, and whiny as fuck. And when you drilled into their so called "stories of oppression," red flags started popping left and right.

I was raised with a blend of lib feminism and old-fashioned beliefs. So some of FDS is mind blowing and other is common sense to me. A high value was put on "appearances" and going along to get along behavior for me growing up and it's been hard to unlearn that. But I just LOVE the unapologetic energy younger generations seem to have of calling out problematic behavior, holding men accountable, and not putting up with any shit.

As a former lawyer, I can sympathize. This is such a frustrating situation. You're scared for your client and her children. You're afraid the judge will do worse (so many judges especially in backwater areas are "good old boys" who ignore the law because they can get away with it) if you complain. You want to strategize for the best way to try again but you also recognize that in the meantime the children are in danger. The wheels of justice move too slow for victims. Everything about this break…

We were robbed when I was little. My mom and I lived in a not great apartment. It was traumatic. My mom was pretty sure it was the babysitter she recently fired (because I told my mom she had her boyfriend over and I saw them going through her jewelry and surprise! That's what was stolen.) Cops didn't give a shit. They were rude as fuck and acted like my mom was eating their time. Suggested she should "get a man" for safety and basically did fuck-all. That's interesting they can tell they've been blocked. I always wondered if that was possible. I must be really socially maladjusted. I can decline a call easier than picking it up and I have no issues leaving texts, sms, email or whatever unread. And I'll straight up lie and say "oops, I never saw it!" If anyone ever asks. They usually think I don't understand technology and that's fine.

I've thought about this a lot since finding FDS. When I was younger, I always had crushes on older men (celebrities or whatever) and thought age gaps were "hot." But then any time an older man hit on me, he was gross (in behavior and/or appearance.) They were sweaty or inarticulate or rude. So the fantasy NEVER lived up to the reality. There are no suave, intelligent, attractive men worth dating in their 40s chasing after 20 year olds. If they are it's because no woman their own age will put up …

I feel SO bad for your generation and can not comprehend this. Misogyny was baked into a lot (all?) of the media I consumed as a kid in the 80s and 90s. However... Straight up porn was hard to come by. When I was a kid (11 maybe?) an older girl took me into her parents' basement to show me her Dad's Penthouse magazines. I remember being intrigued and curious because it was so taboo. Except for some softcore movies I tried to sneak watch on Cinemax, I didn't encounter porn again until I was in co…

The fact that he refers to "DV Industry" and the dog whistle "the media won't tell you this..." Makes this post highly suspect IMO.

Funny how the same demographic who boasts about NOT going to college, will 💯 come out in support over a professor if porn is involved.

I'm torn between I think women shouldn't engage with LVM and we need to normalize calling LVM out when it's safe to do so. Delete, ban, and block for dating, is perfect. I cringe when I see some of the long texts people post of all the written sparring with a scrote. Just block. But I think there is value for ALL of us in speaking up for ourselves and other women when possible. Instead of laughing uncomfortably (which is my go-to conditioned response) or ignoring or excusing bad behavior it shou…

You start off saying you don't want to victim blame but end by victim blaming. Yes, I agree. More men need to be called out. Not just ones you're romantically involved with. Co-workers who tell sexist jokes, friends, family members. All of them. But please keep yourself safe doing it.

Honestly, I was trying to be helpful. Using that word takes away from whatever other intelligent point you were trying to get across. But cool. Do you. You're like the MAGA freaks fighting for the right to use slurs.

I HATE the kind of guys who tell these cutesy self-depricating, humble brag stories. They're always douches. And you can feel the contempt he has for his wife by the way he belittles her so casually.

This is an interesting theory. I'm glad that has been your experience. But I think it's important to remember men who have money are able to hide their depravity much easier.

His description of himself made me think he was some nerd in his 20s. Old soul? No, you just sound immature. Weird he claims to be liberal. He looks exactly like every average, white, closet-racist, gun-collecting, porn-obsessed, video-game playing basement dweller I've ever met.

Yes, yes, yes! Any man describing himself as "sensual" just sounds creepy. Old soul makes me think he's in his 20s but likes "older" things. But no, this guy actual IS fucking old.

This right here. Too many men don't give a shit who watches their kid. They use it to flatter women because women care about kids and expect men do the same way. "oh, he must love and trust me so much to let me be part of his son/daughter's life!" No, he just wants to get laid and/or have a free babysitter.

OMG. In college, I worked retail. I had a guy call me after closing and go through this long, bumbling story about kid/baby mama drama, custody arrangements, family drama before finally getting to the point--I waited on him and his daughters the day before and he thought I was so nice he wanted to ask me out. 😬 🙄 What? I thought he was a customer with an issue but he was trying to ask me out. After dumping all his issues on me. My scummy, scrote manager thought I should be "flattered" (I was alr…

Men too. Mostly gay men follow them. BUT I know a few women who follow male models on OF. The comments they leave rival some of the grossest things men say EXCEPT they are always complimentary. No negging bullshit.
