Yes, I agree. More men need to be called out. Not just ones you're romantically involved with. Co-workers who tell sexist jokes, friends, family members. All of them.

But please keep yourself safe doing it.

"Helpless mindset" and "not following FDS principles?" FDS is for the maximum benefit of women not specifically for being "bad@$$ " to prove a point or to get something over on a guy. FDS is all about blocking and deleting not being unnecessarily confrontational. Women who fear backlash aren't the problem.

In 4th grade, I was playing a lively game of 4 Square in gym class, we were laughing, joking around. I got a guy out and said "you're out" and he punched me in the stomach. HARD. I didn't see it coming. We were friends. Now later on in life I am going to call out strange men who just approach me out of nowhere? I don't think there's ever a safe situation for this. A male relative, 6 ft big, previous career in transit security and military police doesn't advise this. He wouldn't confront people unless as part of his job. Walking away if possible is the best action.

So yeah, nah sis. It's not worth most women's safety to do this.

You do not have to attend every fight you are invited to. It's best to walk away, unless you are acting in self-defence. Even a woman who is well-trained at fighting may not be a match for the average man. I am a bigger lady who powerlifts, and I still would not pick a physical fight with a man. Do not underestimate the strength of an angry male. They could be carrying a concealed weapon, too.

FDS is not about sticking it to shitty men - it's about actively avoiding them and not engaging. If you wrestle with a pig in the mud, you will only end up looking back because the pig is used to rolling in the mud. Same concept applies here. More women need to get used to not getting the last word/action in and walking away/blocking deleting. We are not here to tell LVM about themselves. It's an epic waste of time and energy. Obviously this does not apply if you are being physically attacked, but that is not what you were getting at.
