How about don't get married again and live where ever you want

The best revenge is success. Show them you are more than what you were.

This is my biggest fear. We've been so close to the brink many times and somehow I talk myself back into it.

I wish I read this comment sooner... It just stretched out the whole process for me

I have this fear of not being to let go of the anger for the same reasons you described. I have this horrible thought that they enjoy to see you suffer for anything you've done in the past. Well, that's just my situation... And the horrible feeling in the back of my mind

Has anyone here not forgiven their ex after a long period of time? I've worked very hard over the last few years to stop the negativity, but I think I want to make 1 last exception

I think this is a hard truth to accept that you can't what some people believe are absolute truths.

I hit rock bottom, she wasn't there for me and said she wouldn't be. And this out of the blue, no one could tell there was even an issue. I still think she was hoping I would do it.

I used to be have an intense fear of getting blown up by indirect fire or mines in Afghanistan, I can say, I have a debilitating fear long term relationships ending. I find it hard to even entertain the idea.

It can also go the other way. I've been getting help, changed careers, everything asked And even told everything is now perfect. Only to get slapped with a divorce. I'm not perfect there are still a lot of things to work on but I definitely feel it's a power move/ women empowerment thing/ wanting to be the one that ended it. One of the worst feelings I've ever felt bad I hope it's something I can recover from.

I sadly agree. But I doubt most of society will not want to hear that.

This is the level I need to get on. It's hard to not think negative thoughts, I actually physically hurt trying not to think negatively

Thank you. It didnt feel right they were making it feel so simple. 'A few hours it'll be done'

Thanks for the words of encouragement. From my understanding we don't need a lawyer as long as we have come to a prearranged agreement? They said we could get one but would not be needed if we filled out their documents together.

Ill keep that in mind. Right now I'm just waiting to get in the room in a few days. The waiting for the day is killing me

I think the count down until the day is doing a number on me mentally

Sorry I should have added some color. So far it's going ok, it's the mental aspect as the day gets closer. I was excited and it quickly is turning into anxiety.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
