No there is a culture of violence against everyone. I guess this one was specifically about women, maybe that wasn't the best idea, but here this article was great imo. You might not like it, but here http://thoughtcatalog.com/rob-fee/2014/05/an-open-letter-to-all-men-concerning-yesallwomen/ I like the points he reaises.

Maybe not "specific clothing" but I am a woman who doesn't shave her pits or legs and I do not wear a bra. My own mother gives me a hard time for not wearing a bra. I guess I don't think its important which gender we're talking about, I think its just important we work on moving society in a direction where no one has to fit into any gender role and we have less violence.

See I was down with #Yesallwomen, mostly because I get told me to "be quiet" every time I try to talk about the abusive relationship I was in. I took it as an opportunity to talk.. I don't think #yesallpeople was one uping anyone.I kind of hoped we could make it more inclusive... It bothers me that we can never find unity in times like these .

I did think it should be #yesallpeople.. about how everyone is effected by the violent and abusive culture we live in.

I agree with the fact that feminism needs to make a lot of changes. but I also think MRM demonizes feminism to an extreme I really don't agree with. I think a lot of things need to give.

I'm subscribe here, but I have a lot of mixed feelings, because their on things about feminism I agree with, but I also think a lot of things are being ignored. I don't agree that feminism and mens rights an't co-exist/ work together.

See a lot of feminists I've spoken to do want to help with men's issues. They might be bullshitting me, but I think like aiming to dismantle feminism is not going to help or at least most feminists won't react well and it'll just be a mess. I think what would be a good idea is for MRM to talk mostly about the specific rights wanted. I.e legal paternal surrender. Edit: I just want to say there is a lot of feminism I find ridiculous. Rape culture is spoken about as if rape is only the fault of men…

Hey writer here, had no idea this thread existed until just now, haven't checked the email for my blog in a while. Commune.. Not your typical hippie commune, we run a business, minimize the resources we use. Had to defend my home right there. I feel I am living the change I want to see.

You seem like a fan of science. So perhaps you like experiments? And I can be whatever the fuck I want. I am on both sides. I do not see two sides. You just don't understand the way my mind work. If you want to continue this us or them mentality, so be it, but there is an aspect to this whole thing you're simply not getting. You are continuing what we've been doing all of history, fighting. It'd be great if we could stop and fucking stop mentally masturbating all over the interwebs.

Black and White thinking. Two Party system. Gay or Straight. Lie or Truth. I am a feminist if you think of feminism actually is about equal rights for women. Many members of the group have a tendency to not actually be about that. I am not a feminist when people will group me with the feminists who actually think that way. Do you think it was wrong when a black woman claimed to be a white woman on a resume to see if it would make any difference? It did make a difference. It proved something. It …

The biggest problem I see with feminism and the MRM is the obsession with labels. I did not "lie" because whatever label I use I still support rights for everyone. Feminist, MRA, Humanist.. same shit.. if we were actually doing it right and not hating each other and demonizing each other. If only we could be self- reflective. I am sorry if you see it as lying and it bothered you, but please try to see my perspective. I am also curious, are you mostly just giving me a hard time here because I at …

You should be angry about whatever you want to be angry about and I agree with you on the things you listed. Media angers me when it is hateful because it continues to spread hateful messages. Young women who are misled into believing that "feminists promote equality" will watch such videos and think that is the right way" to promote equality. However, that might be there fucking fault for not realizing joking about castration is fucking hateful. They could probably think a little more than that…

I could agree that perhaps its boys and tomboy. I find the original to be misogynistic due to the fact that women are referred to as animals and "bitch" If you have a minute I posted a little bit more below in another comment. I definitely agree this video is very hateful. I think it might be funny if they parodied the song showing that they don't need men to tell them they don't need to be domesticated or something like that. As I woman I personally find the lyrics to be misogynistic. In my opinion it promotes the two choices women have "good girl or bad girl" and with each choice the metaphor of an animal is used. As in a domesticated pet or a wild animal. Also refers to women as "bitch" multiple times. "get down, get up Do it like it hurt, like it hurt What you don't like work?" Just my opinion. I think both videos promote ideas I do not agree with. I do agree that this version is more hateful, but I think the orig…

Yea... That all makes sense. I just think it's so unfortunate how men may be viewed as weak if they talk about their feelings. I see no issue with why you're proposing, but O do wish our culture empowered men to talk about their feelings if they wanted to. I wish it was not portrayed as weakness. Yes it does. "Housewives also experienced an increased frequency of psychosomatic symptoms, such as headache, excessive fatigue, feelings of worthlessness, and often reported suffering from the conviction that people did not recognize the importance of their role, and that someone could affect their health which is interpretable as an external localization of the source of their distress" This is from Africa.

To be honest I hadn't seen myself as a feminist until recently. I used to deny it although I agreed with equal rights , but then I started hearing a lot of idiotic generalizations about women where I live and I started calling myself that . Hi.. I am a female, I just read the article of the sidebar that says Feminism and MRA can not find common ground. I do not think that is really the case. I do not know if I would identify as a feminist, but I do agree in TRUE EQUAL RIGHTS for both genders. i.e the custody thing, both genders have equal responsibility, etc, etc. I believe that sort of feminism as I would call it does not spread hatred for men. Just wanted to add that =)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
