I'm a red piller and my entire counterargument to OP is that the vast majority of men do want the actual relationship part outside of sex. It's just that they also view sex as a critical and non-optional part of a romantic relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 08:13 PM
4

No, that's not what women say they think or want. But as everyone even remotely outside the bloopie space knows: women always lie, even to themselves. That's why we watch their actions to learn their true feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 08:05 PM

Their actions vis-a-vis how they treat the two types of men say that, yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 07:57 PM
4

No, it's women. They're the ones who view men either as sources of sex or money. The idea that they are one and the same, as shown by your question, breaks their little brains.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 07:32 PM

The fact that women hard-segregate the two is a huge problem. You should actually want to fuck your husband.

This is just regurgitating long-debunked "men are uber-horny sex fiends and only ever think about sex" nonsense. No, men actually do want relationships for the companionship and family formation aspect as well. While sex is certainly a core differentiator between a romantic and platonic relationship it is not the sole aspect of a relationship nor the sole driver for wanting to be in one.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 07:26 PM

Oh, so you're just here to lie to us. Thought so.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 06:33 PM

Sadly, yes. The fact that that works on the majority of women is something women as a group should be reflecting on. It really is a problem that women on the whole crave toxicity.

The stuff that ive heard is workout, dress nice, look good overall, and have a good personality That's literally red pill advice. The only part of that that might go to blue pill is exactly what you define "good personality" as. Bloopies generally mean that as "be submissive to women" whereas red pill teaches to basically treat women in the way that actually gives them tingles, i.e. treat them as lesser and unimportant.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 06:18 PM

This false idea that the only form of power and control in society is government and the law is so false as to be nothing more than an indicator that the one claiming otherwise is not engaging in good faith.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/26 02:45 PM

Single mothers are one of those protected identity groups that you really can’t speak anything negative about without catching hell. This is starting to change again (finally). Mostly because thanks to the end of the information cartel's stranglehold we can actually see that yes it is the products of single motherhood driving most of the problematic behavior in every city in America. Can't tell you how often I see comments along the line of "fatherless behavior" in discussions on crime reports t…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/26 02:44 PM

I wasn't around the dating world 30 years ago so I have no clue. And 30 years ago doesn't matter anyway, it's today not 30 years ago.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/26 02:40 PM

There is no such hint, not anymore. If she wants to be asked out she needs to actually say that she's interested. It's time for women to put on their big girl panties and start actually communicating instead of expecting men to be mind readers. Men are no longer willing to try because the stakes are way too high.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/26 12:45 PM

It's something a lot less common than it used to be now that the internet has let it be exposed. Hence all the posts and tiktoks and articles and whatnot where single women bitch about not having men to call on when they need something heavy moved or other such tasks done. It was also a direct result of the utterly terrible "be her friend first, then ask her out" advice. Now that that advice has finally been thrown in the trash where it belongs the friendzone is a much less common situation.

Actual studies, ones that have even managed the rare feat of replication in the social studies, prove the literal exact opposite of this. Men are the romantics. They're the ones who form deep emotional bonds. Women's emotional bonds are far shallower, though often faster-forming. This would also explain why women initiate literally >70% of divorces.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 03:34 PM
7

I didn't say it wasn't toxic. I said it's what women want. Yes, women are a primary driver of toxicity. This would also explain why domestic violence and abuse rates literally go up and down with the number of women in the relationship. Yes society should probably consider making some changes to deal with and reign in this issue because it's clearly problematic and unhealthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 03:03 PM

Women have made it very clear that they do not find men who treat them as equals, much less superiors, attractive. They find it pathetic (and it is). Women, for whatever reason, want a man who they view as above them.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 03:00 PM
9

In the era where "sexual harassment" has been redefined to "asked her out when she wasn't interested" reading hints is no longer a viable option. We get it, women use hints because they're too fragile of ego to not hide behind plausible deniability. Well they have to change to adapt to the world they demanded get created for them. Non-toxic guys don't play the hints game anymore, the stakes are far too high.

There is absolutely good and universal advice to give. It's the core advice given by the red pill: improve yourself to pass the looks filter and treat women as lesser and irrelevant because that's what they're attracted to.

There's a reason the blue pill is called the blue pill - its entire point is to keep you locked in the Matrix being nothing more than a source of resources for women via deception, just like the way things worked in the Matrix movies.

As someone in software and thus someone who has known a LOT of Indians who have moved to the West I can confirm they also have arranged marriages. Love marriages are not common even among Western-born Indians.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 12:34 PM

Counterpoint: the social shifts that created that discouragement are all built on society implementing women's preferences into a much more formal and enforceable structure. And what women have shown they do not want is guys who want to be a good and humble man.

Clav is. He's basically the human embodiment of the "pretty ones" from the Mouse Utopia experiment. The focus is appearance for its own sake, nothing more.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 06:51 PM
5

Because India still practices arranged marriage. So I don't think you want to go down that path of discussion, that's a level of lack of female freedom that the West hasn't had outside of the nobility for really any of its recorded history.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 06:42 PM
10

Counterpoint: those low quality women are still more than the no women the boys and men drawn to those personalities get. This is the crux of the issue: women are the ones showing that that "toxic" behavior is what they want. Women aren't going for the guy that fails the shit test and actually does what women say they want men to do, they're going for the Clavicular and Tate types.

Or do they legitimately think they can step in and play Dad in that moment to a kid they neglected for their career Your question would be a lot more likely to get serious engagement if you didn't out yourself as attacking a strawman. It's not the 1980s, we're firmly in the era of "work-life balance matters". So the whole "absentee workaholic dad" trope is completely outdated and something attacked by people who know their beliefs are just as outdated. As for how I would want my wife to handle o…

The irony here is that women are far more likely to go for the unrepentant man because as much as women hate this being public knowledge women love men who disregard their demands. Any man who asks for redemption has already failed the shit test and so no, there is no path to redemption because asking for it has already precluded getting it.

All the evidence shows otherwise. It turns out that a lot of gender roles were really a Chesterton's Fence situation - they were answers that had been around so long we had forgotten the questions. But that didn't mean the questions had changed.

Men prefer slim, young, attractive women. Whaaat! You mean when looking for a partner for reproduction they find traits that indicate good genetics and a high likelihood of successful reproduction attractive?! What a shock!

People aren't mad that women have those preferences. People are mad that women lie about them and that society at large reinforces those lies. The problem is that we lie to boys and young men and adult men and punish those who dare to try to teach the truth. People are also mad at the hypocrisy that the demonization of men's preferences shows. Men have preferences, too, but men get shamed and attacked for them. Even though their preferences are every bit as justifiable as women's. Youth, health,…

For men being needed is one of the big drivers of what makes us feel wanted. They go together. We want to be the one she wants to turn to when she's in need. It's that provider and protector instinct that's hard-coded into our brains. And the thing is: women want to need us, too. There's no coincidence that relationships are doing worse than ever before as we've restructured society to make women not need a not-hired man at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 03:04 PM

We're not. We're indifferent. Because since we're not attracted to you, and thus not planning to pursue you, we treat you like we do other men who are not personal friends. The fact that women think that being treated as just another faceless stranger is "mean" says quite a lot about women, and none of it good.

If he wants to go his own way he should and he will not be missed. All of the whining women do on every platform ranging from tiktok to mainstream major magazines and newspapers about how they're so upset that they can't find men would prove this false.

The very narrow definition of attractiveness that women apply is one of those rigid expectations.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 04:40 PM
1

Mostly because modern women are just not worth the effort or risk. Modern women tend to be rather unpleasant to deal with, and high value men put a lot of work into building their high value life and it's all too easy for a spiteful woman to tear it all down. So long as this all holds true many men, even attractive and successful ones, will just find women - or at least western ones - to not be worth it.

Attractive men leaving women alone = crisis with men epidemic. Just see the absolute flood of "waaah! Morning after pill, abortion, adoption. Actually having and keeping the child is her choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 04:46 PM

For the single motherhood off of a short-term relationship it's because she made the deliberate choice to have that child and permanently tie herself to that man despite not having taken the time to vet him. Women have literally all of the parenthood avoidance options, no woman has a child she does not intentionally choose to have. So it's 100% her fault. As for the long-term relationship related cases: the answer is that it's almost universal that she ignored a Soviet parade's worth of red flag…

It's not the wanting money that's the problem. It's the unwillingness to uphold their end of the relationship that's the problem. If women want to receive the trad benefits they have to uphold the trad responsibilities. It's that simple.

Women are the gatekeepers of sex. They also have literally all of the options when it comes to contraception. With power comes responsibility.

The red pill literally teaches the exact thing you put in your post. So either you're saying that you yourself are detached from reality or you're just trying to use pathetic shaming efforts against teachings that remove women's advantages and aren't worth listening to.

It's more that clubs aren't fun when you're not trying to find a partner for the night and have to pay for your own badly overpriced drinks. And women have made it beyond clear that they don't want to be approached when they're out for a night of dancing. So why go somewhere unfun when the sole reason to put up with it is no longer available? If I want to go out and drink with the guys we'll go somewhere we actually enjoy being that also has booze. And probably better prices.

If you can't get through the looks barrier you don't get a chance to show your personality. That's the ugly truth. Women are exactly as shallow as pop culture and feminists have told us men are.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 01:44 PM
17

Men treat it that way because that's what they're explicitly told as boys. They're literally just doing what they've been told from their earliest days. Yes it is bad teaching, we know. And who is it that dominates the education and upbringing of children? Oh yeah, women. Women took those fields over. Breaking free of that conditioning is literally why the red pill is called the red pill, it's that much of a breaking of conditioning.

Real definition of manchild is someone who lacks agency, unearned entitlement and highly emotional, like a foot stomping toddler. So a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 12:32 PM
23

And the thing is: men who act like that are just as insufferable. The constant chest-thumping "I'm the best and the man and bla bla bla" is just as irritating when the chest getting thumped has no tits. It's not about being a functional adult, it's about being an obnoxious egotist.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/26 07:35 PM

Nepotism, natural talent in a niche but in demand field, all kinds of ways. That second one, that's really common in the tech sphere. Lots of emotionally stunted well-off men. It's not as universal as it used to be but, well, there's a reason for the stereotypes around programmers. And I say this as one. My older peers, yeah they're not exactly emotionally sound.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/26 07:32 PM

What does "act like a child" mean, though? Because I see "man child" applied to any and all of having non-grindset hobbies, being into traditional masculine hobbies, being into untraditional hobbies, not prioritizing having a spotless living space, and being uncompromising with their expectations. I've also seen all of those things get called completely fine when the man in question is desirable enough.

You're the one arguing that they're so weak-willed that they can't be expected to actually learn from experience and change behavior. I'm just working within the framing you've presented.

If women are really that weak of will then maybe we need to rework society to ensure they have someone to protect them at all times. We're going to see tons of "oh of course, I love him and bla bla bla" top level comments but the actual stats on relationships where the woman simply out-earns the man, much less fully supports him, show that they're pretty much all going to be lies. Women despise men they have to support, it's a hardwired response.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 08:07 PM
7

Again: I'm speaking of the programming men received during their childhood years. As I've made very clear multiple times now. So you can keep ranting at your strawman if you want but I'll just wait until you get bored and decide to engage with the actual discussion.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 08:05 PM
10

The fact it's repeated shows that it's what they want. Now the fact that so many women seem hardwired to want that kind of treatment, that's a whole different discussion that the feminist-dominated society is not ready to have yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 08:04 PM

Moms, grandmas, teachers, TV and movies aimed at their age group, other caretakers, it's pretty much everyone. It's the overwhelming message given to boys and young men as they grow up. You don't see it because you didn't grow up as a boy and young man. You are speaking to things you have zero knowledge of.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 07:59 PM
11

Because nobody's hearing “looks aren’t everything” and taking it to mean “looks don’t matter at all, just be a good guy”, they're being outright told the latter part. That's literally what boys and young men are raised with. That's what they are actually told. And that is why they need to be corrected and explicitly told that in reality looks are critical since they're the first filter that determines whether you get to even try for the next ones.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 07:51 PM
12

Because their observed behavior certainly seems to indicate that. Guy treats her like queen and salivates over her and becomes nothing more than a useful orbiter. Guy that treats her like crap winds up having her hanging off his arm with ease. It's almost like women are addicted to the drama and rush of trying to keep a guy that views her as effectively disposable.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 07:49 PM
15

Looks aren’t everything…does not mean that appearance doesn’t matter. The issue is that that second part never gets said. It's always "looks aren't everything, just be a good guy/work on your personality". Personality means jack shit if you can't pass the looks filter and you get exactly one chance to do that. That's what guys need to be told.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 07:46 PM

I think you're a bit confused. Getting a guy, including for a relationship, is easy for literally every woman. Getting the guy she really wants and not settling, that's what hard. Because women are basic and so they all want the same guy, Mr. Four Sixes. So he gets to be picky.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 07:43 PM

It's also a large (heh) contributor to the issues that many men have when it comes to relationships. It turns out being a lardo is very not attractive to women and all the people telling us "oh looks don't matter, she'll like you for your personality" were all lying to us. The greatest harm we ever did to men as a society was lying to them about the importance of appearance.

The fact is, if you like your partner, you’re going to try to make them feel happy and satisfied. Not at the expense of my own personal boundaries. The entire premise of this discussion is that a woman did break those boundaries in the past for someone else. Ah yes, the classic leftoid/woman tactic of playing dumb. Funny how the side that claims to be the side of smart people seems to never actually know anything ever. Either they're lying about their intelligence or lying about not knowing. Either way they're bald-faced liars and should be treated as such. "Patriarchy" is literally the conspiracy theory that men control society for the sake of benefiting men. And you already know this.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 06:16 PM
11

"The patriarchy" is a conspiracy theory, one akin to but with far less evidence than the "the Jews control the world" conspiracy theory. It's Apex Fallacy extended out to an entire way of viewing the world, as proven by the fact that it literally can't account for the position and rank of the vast majority of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 06:05 PM

Usually? Yes. It may not have been addressed out of fear of scaring her off but usually it's something a man has wanted, and even gotten before with previous partners, but feared to bring up with a partner who presented themselves as not the type to be into it. And yes this is yet another example of how the real secret to relationships is open and honest communication. Unfortunately men often find being too open too early a fast way to wind up single again.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 05:29 PM

No you're not being treated as lesser. You're being treated the same as previous partners. That treatment is just insufficient to keep the relationship going, hence the term "mismatch".
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 04:10 PM
-2

No you didn't. Because you'd have found it if you did. But like I said: you're a troll, not a serious person.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 04:09 PM

It would lead to a much more amiable breakup since it would just be a case of true mismatch instead of being treated as lesser than previous partners. Mismatch happens, it's nobody's fault. But that's not the same as being treated as lesser-than, that is the fault of the one doing the different treatment.

If you were actually curious you'd have looked it up already. And since you didn't I don't believe for a second you're actually intending to engage in good faith on this. So if you want to discuss this later do come back after you've done your research. But given your self-chosen tag I know you won't, you're not actually interested in serious discussion.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 04:03 PM

and id disagree that remembering important dates is going extra. Well of course you would, you're a woman and having your important dates remembered is how you feel valued. The things that make you feel valued are just expectations to you, not extra exertions on the part of your partner. That's called solipsism and is a known flaw that almost all women possess.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 04:02 PM

Same goes for romantic relationships. You aren't owed dates or comfort, that's all well beyond the platonic. The reality is that a sexual relationship and a romantic relationship are two sides of the same coin. This idea that you women should get all the romantic benefits without having to engage in the sexual side is toxically entitled nonsense.

Being with a partner who refuses to consider, much less meet, your needs leads to a far more painful and lonely life than just living alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 03:45 PM

Household chores are irrelevant to relationships because those are part of being an independent adult. But remembering and celebrating important dates? Yes, that is going extra. It's a nice thing to do, but it's still definitionally extra effort. Congrats, you've discovered the entire crux of the issue here: the truth of a relationship is that it takes extra effort on the part of both participants. And if you value your partner you don't complain about the extra effort. Which is why refusing to …

helping with household chores and remembering important dates is the bare minimum of a relationship though. Says who? You? You aren't a god, you're just a human with a human's opinion. Funny how a woman's wants are "bare minimum" and yet men's wants are somehow fringe and radical. Sounds like solipsism to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 03:10 PM

Unless you are conceding that women are mentally too weak to be held accountable for their actions, and if you are then you are also saying that women shouldn't have the full rights and privileges of independent adults, your argument simply isn't valid because she chose to engage in those acts. Sorry but I don't infantilize women, I treat them as fully capable and developed adults. That includes accountability for past choices.

I don’t think this user was trying to shame you. The entire reason to use dismissive terms like "reactive jealousy" is to shame a person into compliance. Society teaches that jealousy is a flaw, which is actually untrue, and that flaws are things to be ashamed of. Why would I waste time thinking about a man’s previous partners? Because you don't want to think that you're investing your effort into someone whose not treating you as well as he could be. I get that you're trying to bullshit us into…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 02:54 PM

I never said it was. But they do it a whole lot more.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 02:50 PM

I don't care about you're little thought-terminating cliche shaming words. Shaming only works when it comes from someone a person values and I don't value you. Yes they do. Women absolutely expect to be treated better than previous partners. Now you're just outright lying to our faces.

We know how you sealions operate. You are not clever and you are doing nothing new. The evidence has been presented many times before. If you are choosing to play dumb I can't fix that.

Men want you to stop actively trying to get the shelters shut down. Because that's what has happened to previous attempts to create men's shelters.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 02:19 PM

No. Spoiling her on her birthday is a much bigger and more expensive pain in the ass.

All the evidence proves that so-called "moderate" feminists are lying. As detailed in the comment you are refusing to address. And we all know you're refusing to address it because you can't.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 02:14 PM

They do if they want commitment equity. Want a man to give you as much or more than he gave to previous women, which is how he proves he values you as much or more as a previous partner? Then prove to him you value him as much or more than your previous partners and let him do the things you've done in the past that he wants to.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 02:11 PM

Isn't it amazing how making things more aligned with women's desires and nature also results in a far more toxic world? It's not actually surprising to anyone who has actually seen how women interact with each other - the backstabbing, the gossip, the two-facedness, it's all well documented going back literally centuries.

Still means your persecution complex is completely unfounded and not a justification for societal or legal change.

As women say all the time about child support for kids that the man wasn't informed about until it's too late: it takes two to tango and that means consenting to taking responsibility. As soon as women support allowing men to unilaterally surrender all responsibility for kids at will I'll support at will unilateral abortion. That's what equality looks like.

Men's interest includes being consulted on whether their child lives or not.

Let's look at the Duluth Model for an obvious example. It allows an abusive woman to get a man literally arrested for nothing. And it's actual policy in many police departments.

My main question is instead of voting against women's interests and safety, can't you just vote for men's interests and safety? Those are one and the same. This postmodern idea that everything is infinite and tradeoffs are never necessary is nonsense. The world may not be truly zero-sum but it's a lot closer to zero-sum than it is to infinite. True "win-win" scenarios are extremely rare.

They experience far less than men do. Facts is facts, though I understand that women and facts are mortal enemies.

I don’t think that men should be working against the idea of equality for women. Well that's not what the post said so that's not a point of discussion here. Feminism is not about equality and never was. That was the lie told to gaslight people into supporting it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 01:35 PM

Why not? Women treating men as an enemy faction sure seemed to work for them.

So something that was achieved literally decades ago. Sorry but your persecution fetish has made you imagine a world far more dangerous than it is. And you might want to talk to a shrink about why you can't stop fantasizing about such disturbing content.

A man with a dgaf attitude who uses it to engage in behavior and hobbies that women don't find attractive won't attract women. It's not about the dgaf attitude itself, it's about being able to dgaf and still engage in socially acceptable, i.e. attractive to women, behavior.

The majority of feminists are just normal women wanting to make sure they get the same benefits. Wrong. Because if they were they'd have pushed the radicals out decades ago due to how badly the radicals reflect on them and how they've turned so much of the public against them. The choice to keep the branding and associate with the radicals proves that they, too, are radicals. They, and you, are just lying about it. And you lie because you know that the truth of the movement fully justifies far s…

Equality for women was achieved decades ago. Feminists kept pushing for more. Thus proving the goal of "equality" was a lie. That's the summary and root of all this.

Specifically they want someone whose dgaf attitude manifests in simply fitting in and meeting society's standards. I.e. a "natural".
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 12:32 PM

It sounds like that because it is that. Nothing upsets a woman more than a guy being able to consciously engage in the behavior that they want a man to have a natural inclination towards. It makes the woman feel deceived.

See this would be a valid argument if the 90s thru mid-2010s never happened. But they did and men did exactly what you're saying they should do and the result was the rise of toxic fourth wave feminism in the mid-2010s and running through to today. So you are just flat out provably wrong with this. Been there, done that, know for a fact it doesn't work.

They say they don't believe in it but they sure seem willing to stand with the ones who do believe it and do say it. Actions show the truth of people and their actions show that they do in fact believe it.

They don't. They care about the actual policy changes, both in law and outside of it, that it has gotten implemented.

Women do NOT do what they say. This is really all that needs to be said about everything related to straight relationships.

Those other forms of attraction only come into play after passing the physical barrier. If she doesn't like your looks she's not going to even give you the chance to show your other virtues.
