Online Dating

If there’s some emotional connection then yes it’s enjoyable but the same goes for the act with a “less attractive” girl. Getting intimate with an attractive girl that you don’t care for is just an ego-boost imo and not really that great.

I’m not a model at all, but I’m good-looking. Physical attractiveness matters inside and outside of dating apps though. Unless you get rich or lucky, you’ll end up with someone on a similar level of attractiveness as a mate. On apps I keep my standards high and still match with “hot” girls on occasion.. granted each time the conversation fizzles out as I’m most likely on their lower range of preference based on aesthetics. I’ve struck gold one time which led to a 2 month fling with a gorgeous gi…

College mostly — but it was a very slow build up. I joined clubs that forced interaction with girls and guys and jumped out of my comfort zone as much as I could. Little by little I gained experience with socializing and by graduation I was very confident in myself. At that point with women though I wasn’t too experienced.. once I started working I hopped on the dating apps and now I’m fully confident in that area of my life as well. Baby steps to greatness.

This is real. Focus on future you and build a life you’re proud of. 24M now — but when I was 18/19 I couldn’t even look an attractive girl in the eyes. I remember sitting in college classes and my heart would just randomly be pumping from fear/social anxiety. Now at 24, I’ve dated/hooked up with girls I never would’ve had the confidence to speak to in the past (granted mostly through OLD) but nonetheless work on yourself and you’ll always win.

I’m very confused on the ‘ILY’ response as well..

Firstly — no there’s nothing wrong, do whatever you want in life. Secondly — casual sex doesn’t always mean solely a one night stand.. you can have a FWB situation where there’s some emotional connection between you but you aren’t “dating”.

Interesting... can relate to most of this. I’ve always been considered attractive but was shy growing up which led me to be a late bloomer. Since the pandemic started I’ve taken up online dating to build my experience and done well. The Instagram comment is relatable as well. I don’t post but noticed most girls I meet up with have 1000+ followers and 100+ pictures. As ridiculous as it sounds, I’m going to start posting on my Instagram more just for social proof.

If you're still into her just play it cool and take it slow.. She's either super excited and into you -- or a nut job.

If she seems disinterested, I immediately lose interest. If she plays hard to get after 3 or more dates, I lose interest. If she starts to flake, doesn’t initiate any plans, doesn’t text me often, etc. — I lose interest. There’s no point in chasing women (ever) but especially at my age of 24.

IMO — it’s best to simply gather a few pointers here and there from this subreddit. Anyone who follows nearly every suggestion will probably seem too robotic for seduction. Just be yourself and it’ll happen.

Right haha. I guess because of the scenario wasn't sure if asking her on a date was a good call...

Thanks. And yeah I figured I might as well practice even if the girl isn't a model.

I'm pursuing sexual experience and fun, but I feel like an LTR could result as well. I'm open to whatever honestly.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
