So he lied by omission and now he wonders why she is being cold towards him 🤡 I have an 8 carat quartz ring with a gemstone halo. It cost me $150. She should leave him for being a stupid, cheap liar. The jeweler was probably punishing him for being cheap too.

I feel like, how do you know a guy is even serious about marrying you if there is no engagement ring? So many men are all talk. I wouldn’t start planning a wedding, introducing our families, planning to live together, combine finances, any of that without a ring and a date. Imagine having your wedding planned and this guy was just playing at it.

How many women have woken up with their hands groping the person next to her? Zero? Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Very dependent on life situations, but if both are grown adults and the woman feels she knows him well enough, then 2 years max, with at least talk of commitment by a year or sooner. Men who want to marry you don’t drag their feet. You might move on if they don’t lock it down. Long distance time does not count the same btw since you’re not getting to know each other for real.

The point of not talking about marriage is that when you do, Mr. Ego’s brain goes straight to “she wants to marry ME and trap me and have 5 babies by tomorrow!” Better to be like a man and say “… someday…when I meet the right guy…” and change the topic. But as the other posters said your situationship is probably not going to end up with him asking for commitment. You chased him, offered physical affection in exchange for proper behavior, and it’s only been six weeks of actual dating. Enjoy it i…

I would say you should only pay on a first date if you feel you need to drop money and get the f out of there. If you think the guy is going to be a problem then you have to put your well-being first. If you just don’t like him and don’t want to see him again, then it doesn’t really matter except that you’re losing money to meet men you don’t want. First in getting ready for the date and then for the date itself.

Just about every bad relationship includes “he doesn’t care about holidays/cards/flowers” . Every damn time. Of course men don’t care about flowers! They care about women…who DO care about flowers. That is why they buy them. Same with all the other things women care about.

It’s really important for the woman to pace the relationship since men usually are not good at that, whether they are purposely LB/FF or not. They would go from flirting to breakup and all the steps in between in a week. You have to be the one to put your foot on the brakes when it’s going too fast. Instead of just going along with his pace you’re the one who has to choose not to spend every waking moment with him, not to get physical too soon, not to agree to exclusivity before you know if you …

Truth, I went to an allergist who thought my itchy hives were stress related. My kids pediatrician tells me that often they can be caused by a virus. So after I gave my itchy hives virus to my dad he went to a doctor who Surprise Surprise took his hives seriously and got medication for it.

Lol this “home date” happened to me once too. I went to his door with my fancy new ring from another guy I was dating, hugged him, told him that another gentleman had asked me to be exclusive, thanked him and wished him well, And left. Then I went out with my girlfriends because that was where I really wanted to go that night.

Gay men are the best when it comes to this. I once had an ex get on the same subway car as me and I was sitting next to these two guys and gasped “omg my ex just got on!” Immediate response was “you can do SO much better, ew.” And that’s how I started sharing French fries with strangers on the subway one drunken night.

If it works for you and makes you happy, then go for it. My reservation about this kind of date is that I’m a big believer that a man’s weekend nights are the most valuable. When he is single he is likely going out hoping to meet women on the weekend. If he is dating someone then he is taking her out instead. If he is not with you on Saturday night, who is he with?

Men think you deserve bad treatment because you’re a single mother. In relationships, in work, in life. They thought of you as a resource and now you’re taking that resource away even though they did nothing to maintain their access to it. Any time dating advice for women involves a lot of Words and communication it’s usually bad advice. If he isn’t pursuing you, he loses you, plain and simple. It doesn’t require a conversation. You just date other men instead. He loses your attention and his date time slot.

But often there was something fundamentally wrong with them in high school too. A lot of them were creepers from an early age and the girls they were crushing in rejected them for some good reasons. And some were just victims of the idea that a Regina George was not going to skewer them because they were blinded by beauty.

YES He has been paying for the last decade and I don’t think it’s going to stop anytime soon so likely … FoReVeR And you’re right that this is an imaginary problem for all the points you listed. Even for the very few men you date and then get married to, once you’re married you have joint finances anyway. You’re both paying. So enjoy the courtship phase where he tries to impress you. Pay your half with appreciation and affection.

I agree with this, I feel like in most situations it would be bad manners to tell a man “you’re paying!” Like if you are inviting a guest to your childs birthday party you don’t need to tell her she needs to bring a present… it’s 100% socially expected that there will be a present so it is not something you say out loud. If women weren’t the victims of men’s mental health problems then it would be a different story. When his mental health interferes with him taking care of himself properly, who suffers? If he is alone it’s him. If he has a partner, it’s her. She has to pull the double shift to take care of them both. Rules broken: 1) 5 years no ring 2) she is the provider and breadwinner 3) living with a man for any reason other than vetting FDS women knew it would end up this way because that is pretty much always what happens.

When I met my husband I was not yet established in my career, had zero assets, had student loans, was living paycheck to paycheck. He never asked me what I could offer him. He loved me for me. If I dated a materialistic jerk who wanted me to list my net worth and applicable wifey skills to get a second date with him I would still have laughed my way through dinner. BECAUSE if dating is a job interview, he is the applicant and I’m the interviewer. Not the other way around. It’s still not though. …

She is definitely a social climber, but I do agree with her advice in most of her videos. Yes, if she were born into or was a member of the society she wants to be in she would not have this YouTube channel. Her female friends would ostracize her for it. I’m thinking she has a rich boyfriend.

Happy birthday! Advice to my younger self: focus on your education and career. This is the time to do it to propel yourself into a successful future. I was all over the place when I was young and wasted a lot of time and money on stuff that just did not matter. I feel like I am still ten years behind where I’d like to be career wise and since I did not put in the effort when I was young, I have to wait until my kids are grown to focus on that goal again. Baby steps.

Take a shower, get a haircut, get fit, be interesting, be a good person, have a personality besides bitterness, be a good lover, treat women like you respect and cherish them. … I mean even if you pick two of what I listed there is someone who will desire you. They don’t even need to be a Fine AF Friday man. The bar is incredibly low, but they don’t want to see that. They want to be Instagram models without any of the fitness, makeup, or filters.

I’m old . I talk to exactly ZERO people I went to high school with. I even moved back to my hometown to raise my family (this is an indication of success where I live lol) and I have none of these people in my life. A couple of high school boyfriends have tried to get in touch with me over the years and I ignored their emails and voicemails. These people who chose him over you are inconsequential. There are some people who intentionally change their voices, but how you sound and how you speak is determined by physical plus cultural traits. See studies on Asian, particularly Japanese women a cross generations and in comparison to women from other cultures. It’s very much about social conditioning and is not necessarily a conscious choice they are making.

Going into pregnancy I thought I’d want my husband in the delivery room. Turns out I just wanted my mommy! The first one was so hard! Things the husband can be good for: being your loudmouth advocate, delivering drinks and snacks, rubbing shoulders, hand to squeeze, holding hair back, any jobs that make him useful. If he can’t / won’t do that stuff then he can wait outside and order supplies from Amazon.

Just like you don’t introduce just any guy you’re dating to your family, you don’t introduce him to your friends unless he is serious about you. Meet his friends and family first. I’ve been a big proponent of waiting until marriage for sex. It simplifies the process of dating. I learned from having sex in relationships that it is an extremely strong bond for me. It’s a deep expression of love and an act of giving myself. For the most part, men dont take it that seriously! (Not exactly news here) Maybe I’m more serious than most, but based on all the miserable girls and women I see posting on Reddit relationships, I know I am not alone in this. I found some helpful suggestions in this article, like the reminder to just keep in touch. It’s good to have an article that actually addresses the issue because ADD/ADHD does interfere with interactions that are expected in female friendships.
